The Greek Omelette with Potatoes. Tastes even better than it looks.
    Melissa A.

This hidden spot exceeded my expectations . It's a small place and gets pretty busy we were seated quickly. It's a friendly vibe. Service was friendly and attentive. Everyone was happy with their food . We got French toast , the chile relleno plate and the Greek omelette. The potato's were perfectly crisp and soft on the inside . The Greek omelette was so tasty , we came back the next day just so I can have it again .

Daisy and Consuelo are my favorite here at Cheliz Highland. The food and service here is excellent. I love coming here with my family and friends. Order the Cowboy for breakfast! So delicious!

Cheliz Restaurant serves up mean flavors and serving sizes. The hospitality is great and they're always quick with the service. *Chile Verde Omelet: wowie was this combination massive. I chose potatoes and biscuits and gravy as my sides and there was enough food to feed 2. The omelet was smothered in mild, savory green chili and tender pork. The eggs were fluffy. The potatoes, onions, and peppers were seasoned well and had a good, oily crust. *Biscuits and Gravy: impressively huge biscuit with white gravy. The gravy was deliciously peppery and salty. The biscuit was airy with good butter content. This was comparable to other biscuit specialty restaurants. Good breakfast spot with no frills but lots of love. Great food for a cheap price.

This little hole in the wall is huge on service, friendliness and good food. We had the club sandwich, a sausage skillet and steak and eggs. All our food came out quick. The place was fairly full but they still brought the food out quick. The lady serving us was sweet, and kind. For as busy as they were she still came by to check on us. The food was good and the cost didn't break the bank. We hope to go again to check out other menu items.

Very pleased with service we would definitely refer place to others thank you The Villalobos

Chorizo omelette with a side of cottage cheese

I've been here a few times and had decent experiences but the water has always tasted strange. Happy to report that today the water and tasted fine and I enjoyed my chorizo omelette. It was a portion size and had a nice little kick to it. I'm trying to eat Keto so the server suggested cottage cheese instead of potatoes. I mixed in some salsa which made it much more enjoyable. Overall, a good experience today.

Chilaquiles with country potatoes, avocado and sour cream

Walked in and self sat. Restaurant was busy with a few open tables. The staff was walking the floors. Waitress came right away with menus and took our drink order, Coffee and coke. Another waitress came right after and brought creamer, syrup, and asked us for our drink order. The staff here are very quick and efficient. We browse the menu and decided on ordering chilaquiles verdes with my eggs over easy. I added avocado and sour cream at an extra charge and swapped my beans for country potatoes. We also ordered the country fried steak skillet with sunny side up eggs. The country fried steak and egg sat on top of country potatoes and gravy. We swapped the toast for French toast at an extra charge. The food was 10/10 we loved everything we ate even the coffee was delicious. Definitely returning to try other food items. Staff were friendly, fast, efficient! 10/10

Easy and ample parking, non- handicap access front door entrance. Seating is open, area clean. Hostesses are attentive and visit table frequently. The Eggs Benedict was ok, the meat was a bit chewy. Got the Country potatoes which didn't have much seasoning. Overall, it's a good Brunch place

Who knew this little bistro/lounge at the Bear Springs Hotel in Highland, Ca. would have such a delicious menu? Oh, and they change the dining menu options ever so often. They also have a full bar menu for drinks as well. The vibe is upscale casual. There are two dinning areas at the hotel. One is the bistro (for more quiet dining) and directly across the hall is the lounge, where food and drink are also available. Great spot for a fun date night. On Friday and Saturday nights in the lounge, there is live music from 6-9pm. You can just order drinks and enjoy the music in the lounge, but you're gonna want to try the food too-it's yummy! The Bear Springs Hotel Bistro & Lounge is not just for hotel guests. It's a go to spot for locals, vacationers and those visiting the Yaamava Casino. Check it out.

This weekend we checked in and everything was going smooth as usual when we noticed the stomps and banging in the room above us. We stayed in 203. I called the front desk and told them it sounded like kids running back and forth. They apologized for the inconvenience and said it would be address. Needless to say, the running back and forth continued most of the night. I called again after breakfast (apple sausage was amazing) and complained that the running back and forth and stumps was still happening. The tall white guy manager named Josh or Jason did a horrible job of handling it. He kept trying to move us to another room and said there's nothing else he could do. I was like really? It's our anniversary weekend and we're forced to spend it like this? I almost went up there and knocked on the door myself out of frustration. Later on in the evening around 6:00PM, I called to complain again and spoke with Samantha. Now this is a real manager!!! She said that she went up there and heard for herself the ruckus they were causing. She then told me that if this continued, she would ask this guests to leave. The running and stomping stopped shortly afterwards. This year we have spent upwards of $40,000 with Yaamava and really enjoy coming to this casino. Had it not been for Samantha, my wife and I were planning to never come back and go to Morongo for our next outing. Good job Samantha, you retained a valued guests. Sidebar - smoke alarm went off at 6:00AM. Called the front desk and they said someone pulled the fire alarm. I think we're gonna just stay at the hotel on the casino property in the future. It's just too much going on at Bear Springs.

This is a low-key, "local vibe" kind of diner ~ do not go here for ambiance or high end cuisine. That said, the server was friendly and helpful with the menu. We both had burgers and fries/onion rings - I had the Ortega burger with cheddar cheese, 5/5, SO GOOD!! WILL GET AGAIN!!! I knew the burger would be good, this place is your "typical diner" - however, I was actually blown away by it!! Fries and onion rings were delicious too!! Salty, crunchy and perfectly cooked. Ranch sauce was fire too. My BF has been eating at this place for years now, and has nothing but good things to say about this place as well. We can't wait to go back soon and try the Mexican food, as our server recommended trying that cuisine. Based off these experiences and the friendly head nod from the cook as we left - we'll be back and will try something new. I actually look forward to trying breakfast there as well, at some point soon, as I heard the people seated behind us talking how good their waffles and pancakes are. Please try this establishment, I hope you enjoy as much as we did!

The food portions here are very generous, and the pricing is extremely fair. Just like any diner the menu is very large and has a lot of great options on it. Service was very fast and friendly, and they are true champions with staying on top of the drink refills. There is a large free parking lot right in front so parking is very easy and close. Inside is pretty small, they have about six booths and twice as many counter seats so if it is busy, you may have to wait a little bit, but it will be worth it. For this visit, I chose the Chili Cheese Omelette and really liked it. I wish it would've had less beans and more meat but overall I can't complain because I finished the entire thing. They also do four eggs for their omelettes so it is a bit larger than you will usually get. As mentioned the coffee is great and they will continue the refills the second you need it. It's located in sleepy Running Springs, which is in between Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear. It's less than a 10 minute drive from both locations so it is a really great option for breakfast when visiting. We will be back next time we are visiting the mountains.

The only reason I knew where to go was because I'd recently been here for a BBQ pop‑up in their parking lot. When I pulled in, the lot was completely full, but I managed to snag the last spot, which already told me something good was happening inside. The moment I walked in, the place gave classic homestyle diner vibes... small, cozy, and smelling like someone's grandma was in the back cooking with love. I was told to seat myself, and the staff checked in shortly after. The menu is huge, so it took me a minute to decide, but I went with a Denver omelette done "scramble style." No hesitation from the kitchen, they made it exactly how I asked. It came with home fries and a short stack of pancakes. My food arrived hot and fresh in about 10-15 minutes. One look and I understood why the parking lot was packed. The scramble smelled amazing and had that comforting warmth you only get from a true home‑cooked breakfast. The pancakes were fluffy, hot, and honestly way better than I expected. Everything tasted fresh and satisfying, the kind of meal that makes you slow down and enjoy your morning. I couldn't finish it all, so I took the leftovers home, and even reheated the next day, it still tasted pretty good. Between the friendly staff, the generous portions, and the very fair pricing, I think I've found my new go‑to breakfast spot. I definitely enjoyed my meal.
