    Crossiant sandwich special

Is literally the best breakfast food. They know what they're doing when it comes to breakfast. Yes there's a long wait. They're amazing. Of course there's a wait. Can't compare this place to anywhere else. From service, to ambiance, to the taste of the coffee. They're doing such an amazing job!

Mediterranean omelet split into 2. Cinnamon roll pancakes and onion rings

My husband and I were looking for a good brunch spot.. we came across Carolyn's on Yelp.. after seeing all the great reviews it had.. we had to give it a try. Upon ariving, we learnt that there was a 30 min wait for a table for 2 on a Monday morning. Don't let the wait discourage you. Trust me, it's worth the wait. The food here is AMAZING! The portions are nice and big, definitely shareable, but you're going to want to order plenty. I got the Mediterranean omelet.. this dish was so flavorful, the garlic stands out. My husband order the cinnamon roll pancakes.. I don't even like pancakes.. but I couldn't get enough of these fluffy, yet crispy and so so flavorful pancakes. We also ordered a side of onion rings. Which were so delicious, crispy and tender in the inside! Now last, but not least the coffee cake.. you have to try these.. they are the star of the show. So delicious. They are topped off with butter which just melts into the cake.. perfect for dessert or even to have with your coffee. Food was impeccable, but so was the customer service. Everyone there was kind, accommodating and friendly. Our lovely waitress was Claudia.. she was the sweetest.. she gave us great recommendations, made sure we were well taken cared of.. and was just amazing! The ambience reminds me of an old school diner.. so special and homey!

    California eggs Benedict with fruit
    Tina G.

This is a very popular breakfast place and rightfully so. The food was good and the service was friendly! We thought we might miss the crowd by going 10:30am on a Monday but nope, It's definitely busy all the time. The *California Eggs Benedict was delicious! I loved the green salsa instead of the hollandaise. I got it with the coffee cake and the fruit. Just like everyone says the coffee cake is really good. It's moist and very sweet. It was way too much butter for my taste. It really doesn't need it. The fruit fresh and sweet. Yumm!! My mom got the *Little Combo with scrambled eggs, bacon and biscuits with gravy. It was a lot of food for a little combo and she said it was all very tasty. I liked the gravy I tasted. All this with coffee & tip was $44. I recommend this spot for a good breakfast if you're in the area!

French dip with fries & aus juice. You HAVE to try it once at least!!!! Great job Carolyn's Cafe.
    Amy R.

I'm a French dip lover and my experience here is that their French dip was the best I've had. Unfortunately my last order everything had changed. The bread, no aus juice and the fries were even different. I recommend that you ask before you buy to eat. Make sure it's what you want and your experience will be great. The service is still strong along with the ambiance of everyone enjoying their food. The photos reflect the old French dip. I really hope this was a mistake and that the French dips are back to normal.

I love this place... the food,.... & of course the coffee cake... especially the employees... they are so friendly, and very efficient... they are on it.... They get you in... accommodate your every need... and are ready for the next customer before you exit the door.... All with a smile on their face...

    Home Style Corned Beef Hash
    Cory G.

Eggs were wildly inconsistent across the table. I ordered over medium and received undercooked eggs with visible albumin. My son's over medium eggs came out fully cooked through, while my mother's were actually prepared correctly. The hash looked promising at first, but once the few larger pieces of corned beef were picked out, it was almost entirely potato. Overall, it leaned heavily toward overcooked, mashed potatoes with very little actual corned beef and lacked proper crisp. Toast wasn't toasted--just loaded with an excessive amount of butter. Drew, our server, was super personable and attentive and easily the highlight of the visit.

This place was much bigger inside than I expected without feeling crowded. There is also a few outdoor tables too. Even though it was busy, there were plenty of staff members and everyone was friendly. The wait looked intimidating at first, we had about 30 groups ahead of us. We ended up waiting around an hour, which was pretty fast considering how packed it was. The food was great overall. My only complaint was the country potatoes. They didn't taste much different from the hash browns. I was expecting diced potatoes with a little more seasoning, so they were a bit underwhelming. For their famous coffee cake, it was absolutely delicious! It was definitely on the sweeter side, but I would honestly come back just for a slice. The portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable for how much food you get. At the end of the day, it's breakfast food. I thought it was a step above places like IHOP or Denny's and I'd come back again

This restaurant is so amazing. The staff are friendly, the environment is clean, the place is packed 100% of the time, and well worth the wait. Large portions of food and served well. Must try the coffee cake!

Happened upon Carolyn's Cafe after visiting the hospital nearby. We had an hour wait but it was well worth it. One, for the coffee cake and two, for the service. I haven't had a better coffee cake, ever and will be back just for that alone. However it has a great hometown diner feel and the servers really love what they do and know the menu forward and back. Can't wait to go back!

    Ray L.

Again the food was amazing and the service is always great, ambiance was also very pleasant. I had the French Dip and it was delicious! Oh don't forget to get the coffee cake.

Came here on a Tuesday morning with my kiddo. This place is located in a strip mall shopping plaza. The interior had a typical diner aesthetic, nothing special inside. You can tell that a lot of people here were regulars. The staff were friendly and the food was good. I got the breakfast croissant and my daughter got the kids pancake meal that comes with two sides. She really enjoyed her eggs and pancake shaped like Mickey. If ever in the area, I would come back to try other menu item.

Another great breakfast with Mom at Carolyn's! Always delicious with generous portions. The weather was fine, so we chose to sit outside this time where it was a bit quieter and had immediate seating. One thing that can make or break when choosing to sit outside is the service. You won't be forgotten here! Big shout-out to Drew for keeping timely tabs on us and for his all around great personality.

"Smothered" Breakfast Burrito, Home Style Corned Beef Hash, Birria Hash
    Julynn A.

It's been a while since I've been here. Came here with a couple friends. My rating hasn't changed and as usual they're busy. This time I ordered the breakfast (smothered) burrito with gravy. It was good! Friends got the corned beef hash and the birria hash. We also got their infamous coffee cakes to go. It is still delicious! Oh and customer service is excellent!

Do you guys have any gift certificates/gift cards?

Yes. Purchase in person or call the cafe between 7am-1pm. 909-335-8181 x4. We will be closed on Christmas Day and also closed on 12/26/25.

What is the size of the special order coffee cake for Thanksgiving?

9x13 pan - feeds up to 12 people and includes whipped butter.

Is there a way to order food cooked without using seed oils? Thank you for answering .?

Yes, we can offer limited menu options cooked in butter instead of seed oils - you just need to be sure to clarify with the person taking your order.

Hello! Is this lovely establishment open on Labor Day?

    Yes - open regular hours - 7am-1pm

Will you be open thanksgiving morning?

Carolyns Cafe will be closed on Thanksgiving Day.

Family member has nut allergy. Does your coffee cake contain nuts?

Although the coffee cake itself does not contain any nuts, 2 of the ingredients come from a supplier that processes nuts at the same facility. So, even though we would love your whole family to enjoy our delicious coffee cake, it might be best for…

Are any of the gluten-free items available vegan? French toast, pancakes... anything?

They have gluten free coffee cake

If I dine outside, may I bring my dog?

I have seen a dog outside while his parents dined so I think it is ok as long as it is well behaved & doesn't bark at customers.

Will you be open on Easter Sunday this year for dine-in?

We seated ourselves at our favorite raised table in the corner on the far side of the bar. My husband and I stuck to traditional cocktails, and old fashioned and a Negroni. Our friends chose signature cocktails: the Turbo Granny and the Electric Feel. Now the Electric Feel was not just a drink, it was an experience. Our server explained to our friend that he should sip a little of the drink, then chew the Szechuan buzz bud for about 15 seconds, letting it coat his whole tongue, then enjoy the rest of the drink which would taste different afterwards. Our friend went through all those steps and said it was incredible, like all the flavors were enhanced along with different sensations in his mouth, kind of numb and tingly. His wife was not satisfied with his description of the experience, so she bought a Szechuan buzz bud for $2 and she said it was kind of like pop rocks. These buzz bud looks just like a little flower bud like the end of a dandelion once the seeds are blown away. It comes from a plant. Totally fascinating! We enjoyed our one cocktail each here and just had great conversation. It was a fun night because of the company, and also because we had a little adventure going to two amazing places!

We decided on weekend brunch, especially since there were endless mimosas. Our kids have a recollection of being down the class umbrella alleyway, so they were amazed when they saw it. A short while later, we were in front of the restaurant and were quickly seated by the staff. They didn't ask if we preferred outdoor or indoor seating, but we were seated inside right next to the kitchen. We heard that indoor seating was better for service anyway. The interior of the restaurant was "very fancy," and my daughter thought we were in a date spot. We knew we wanted French fries and opted for the garlic Parmesan fries. At first, the kids were weirded out by the arugula, but my daughter ended up enjoying it, noting the bitter and salty notes. My son devoured the entire plate (not the arugula) and asked for another round. We also ordered the lemon ricotta French toast, made from Brioche bread, lemon blackberry butter, whipped lemon ricotta cream, blackberries, mint, and maple syrup. They perfected the crispy exterior, which contrasted well with the fluffy bread. My wife ordered the breakfast pizza--a focaccia pizza topped with marinara, ham, spinach, fresh tomato, red onion, a sunny-side-up egg, and herb-infused maple syrup. This was really delicious with the tart, fresh tomatoes, the salty ham, and the sweet maple syrup. I ended up eating the sunny-side egg by itself, so we didn't get to try the pizza with the egg. Lastly, I ordered the steak and eggs, but it was sadly a small portion. I ordered it medium rare, and it came out medium. The seasoning was a bit strange and would have been better with simple salt, pepper, and garlic. The mimomas really made my wife happy. She started feeling it pretty quickly. She chose the pineapple juice while I got the traditional orange. Not sure if the alcohol made the food better or the other way around. I was brought to reality when I saw the expensive bill, though.

I hadn't been in a few months, and decided to drop in this morning to eat, have coffee and edit photos on my laptop. During the several hours there, I got to overhear exchanges between customers and staff. The morning shift boys were young, but friendly. Let me tell you, once the day shift crew came on, the energy shifted. Andy, I HIGHLY recommend you replace the tall, thin guy with the glasses. The whole time he was there, he acted as if he didn't want to be there. He was rude, stand offish, and completely disregarded customers. As soon as he BLATANTLY ignored a female customer who was trying to have a conversation with him but gave attention to her male counterpart, I was over it. Listen, I get it, he might have not wanted to entertain someone's story. But customer service means to acknowledge the customer and treat them with respect. I can't even count the amount of times I've divulged in conversation with people I didn't want to, but I still treated them like a human. The woman was visibility upset about how off putting he was. I packed my things, went over to the woman and told her feelings were valid because he had been dismissive towards others ever since he came in. I know you're not going to care about my review, I know you're not going to lose much money if I never come back. But people need to aware what kind of employees are here. As for the food and coffee - The ingredients no longer taste fresh on the breakfast pizza. It tastes cheap and rushed. The iced vanilla latte I had was mid at best, I forced myself to finish it. Which is disappointing because I have loved both for years. I think the young boys need some better training on how to make coffee, but at least they were personable. The young guy with long curly hair - keep up that positive energy. You're gonna go somewhere. Highly recommend bringing Quay back full time, maybe make him a manager or part owner because every time I've been there and he's makes the pizzas, everything is He's a staple, and is clearly loved by all the customers who were happy to see him when he walked in. Also, maybe put the birch back on the empty corner wall, looks like someone ripped it off and it looks bad.

You can also snag breakfast burritos if you're lucky (they sell out), or freshly made stuffed waffles from a vendor outside, which somehow makes the whole experience feel extra charming. There are cute little café tables all around and a tucked-away, walled patio in the back that's perfect for bigger groups. Already planning future coffee dates. Late to the party, but fully committed now!
