Ordered from them last week and our meal was outstanding. There are many Mexican restaurants in the area and so we have been ordering from each one to compare. Ordering the same four dishes at each place. Our favorite overall has been Taco Libre. This is a surprise since it now surpasses our old favorite from down the road. All four of us loved our meals, Chimichanga, Beef Fajita, Quesadillas, and my favorite was the Chicken FajitaTaco Salad. Writing this is making me hungry, I may order again now. Are you looking for a chips and salsa joint? Than this is it!! Not to brittle not to hard but just right (and warm). Salsa, not to thick not to soupy, stays on the chip with a kick of spice! Cheese dip!, not to thick not to runny. I could have ate chips and left satisfied. Let's not lie the free chips are everything at Mexican restaurants and this place was on point. Wow. I love Taco Libre. Normally this is my go to Mexican place and bonus that it's close to me on the island. Today, however, was a different story. I was so disappointed in my meal. I got a California burrito which I was so looking forward to. Things that were wrong with it: not enough lettuce sour cream or guacamole inside the burrito. I literally only saw one place where there was any guacamole like they put one spoonful on and I couldn't see any sour cream. Then to add insult to injury, there was very little cheese sauce on the burrito. Normally you can even swipe a couple of chips through it. This was barely there and what was there soaked into the tortilla. I could only eat part of it and to say I was disappointed is an understatement. I hope they were just having an off day and this is not the way things are going to be because I won't be eating here if this continues. I will give them another try though because I have loved them so much. But it's going to take a while for this memory to fade. read more

We had a great lunch here! Chips are crispy and salty, not greasy! Salsa is fresh with perfect amount of spice. I had a chorizo taco with rice and beans, fresh corn tortillas with spicy chorizo, onions, cilantro, radishes, and a squeeze of lime! My husband had the burrito supreme which he really enjoyed as well! The servers were prompt and attentive. We will return! read more

Most of the places in St. Augustine seem the same: On a strip of many places, and look like they're a hole in the wall. You can't judge appearances and think poorly of the food they serve. This place served some really good food. The restaurant is much bigger than you would expect, with lots of seating options. The parking lot was full so we expecting a long wait, but they sat us as soon as we walked in. I ordered one buffalo shrimp taco and one quesabirria taco along with the guacamole. The shrimp taco had a little too much sauce but I didn't mind. The quesabirria taco was everything I wanted and more. I couldve ate 6 of them. Overall would definitely recommend this place to anyone coming to this area of St. Augustine :) read more

Came during lunch and had the shrimp tacos. They were excellent. Guacamole was good too. Had the patron margaritas and they were delicious.

Stopped here while visiting St Augustine. We were VERY impressed! Everything was so fresh tasting and the portions were huge. We couldn't finish it all. Service was so fast and friendly, the complimentary chips n salsa were amazing so we probably filled up on those too lol I definitely would recommend this place! The appetizer of Carne Asada Fries is phenomenal. First time we have eaten there, was extremely reasonably priced for what we got and, absolutely delicious. My husband has never been a fan of corn tortillas, I have spoiled him by taking him to Mexico and letting him taste fresh made tortillas, but was extremely pleased with the corn tortillas here. Have been here many times. Was very happy with the food in the beginning, but the food has become inconsistent. Menu items I thought were great have become not so great. Nothing has been "bad", but the sriracha taco, which I loved a few weeks ago, was a disappointment recently. Also there was a good amount of shrimp in the ceviche when they first opened, but now it looks as if they're just chopping up shrimp to make it look like more.
