"Huunnnggghhh" is the noise I made after finishing eating here. Portions of this spot are gigantic and will quickly fill you up. This place is nestled in side of a plaza that is really pretty and a nice area for a walk. There's a ton of seating but I imagine they get quite busy on the weekends. Staff was very knowledgeable and jolly. My boyfriend got the breakfast burrito which was out of this world delicious and I got the Garcia omelette which had the freshest veggies I've ever had an omelet. Mine came with crispy tater tots that were really freaking delicious, especially dipped in the cheese sauce on the burrito. We really wanted to try their flavored syrup so we ordered traditional pancakes to share and tried the maple vanilla syrup as well as the butterscotch. The butterscotch was a little too much me with a maple vanilla added just enough uniqueness to syrup, it was extremely delicious and very enjoyable. I'm in town for a conference and came by for Sunday brunch. The atmosphere is so cute and relaxing! I was greeted promptly and the hostess was very friendly. My server was knowledgeable about the gluten free options and I had no problem finding something. I didn't get bread, but they have GF English muffins and toast, pancakes and waffles. He advised that the potatoes are cooked in a shared fryer but that didn't eliminate too many options. I ordered the Garcia omelet with egg whites and it was perfect! This place was right across the street from my hotel and the reviews on Yelp seemed good so I decided to try it out for breakfast. The staff was nice and it's a cute café but the food was disappointing. I ordered a hazelnut hot chocolate first. It was a really mild chocolate and I didn't taste much of the hazelnut flavor. For food, I ordered the Cherry Creeker which is basically an eggs benedict but with corned beef hash. These are already two dishes I love separately so I figured it should be great together. So, the positives are the English muffin was still toasty on the bottom and my scrambled eggs (I ordered them that way) were cooked really well. Also, the corned beef hash had a great bark on the outside. Unfortunately, the dish was void of flavor. The hollandaise sauce tasted like nothing but oil or butter. It was missing that signature tangy taste I'm used to with my hollandaise and the dish itself didn't taste like it was seasoned at all. Good spot to grab breakfast between downtown and Capitol Hill. Came here on a Sunday morning for breakfast, and was instantly greeted by the aroma of syrup as we were walking down the hall - a great way to start the day! Started with the beignets, which were awesome. Tried it with the maple vanilla and buttermilk syrups. They were crisp on the outside but fluffy on the inside - would definitely recommend! I also got the chicken and waffles. I was not too impressed with the waffle - there was not much to it and was rather bland. However the chicken was awesome! You get a good portion of it, and mixed well with the syrups, and the honey mustard sauce was excellent. I would return and recommend this location. We can re ommend the pancake flight and the churro donuts. They're both really good, but if you plan to have an entree, it's lot of food! In a nut shell, great food great service. We arrived 12:15 pm. Checked in and were told 5 to 10 minute wait. The place looked packed and there were already several people waiting. We were seated in 3 minutes. Within a minute we were served water and had our drinks taken. Soon after our order taken. The food came out relatively fast. I ordered the kitchen sink, my wife the itsa avocado toast and the waffle. Both plates were very yummy. Nearly perfect. The waffle was not that great. Not a lot a flavor to it, definitely needed toppings to really enjoy. The vibe of the place was really nice as well. Our server was also very nice and attentive. Located inside the office building, couldn't see street side from where I was. I really wanted to love this place, but it was a miss for me. Calm and warm interior, nice staff, sadly- food was just ok. Everything needed seasoning/salt, so really plain. Blueberry Pancake was tasty, but sitting in thin blueberry sauté liquid made it pretty soggy and didn't allow for butter, my favorite part! We decided to try somewhere different after church this morning. So, our daughter and son-in-law suggested Syrup downtown. With it being Sunday, it was fairly easy to find a place to park, since the meters on Sunday are free in downtown Denver. It seemed pretty busy, but a lot of that could be attributed to the Denver Broncos, Raiders game that was happening today. There was six of us, and it was only a thirty minute wait, which actually wasn't to bad. The location of this restaurant is a couple blocks away from the 16th street mall, which is nice because your away from all the hustle bustle, but also close enough if your walking on the 16th street mall and looking for a change of pace (however, they are only open till 1:45 in the afternoon) The atmosphere was nice and all the wait staff was friendly. The restrooms are not in the establishment, but they are in the hallway across from the restaurant (don't forget your door code for the restrooms). They were very clean, and nicely kept. Now the food, which we had a wide assortment, and I was only able to get a picture of a few things. We ordered Crack Bacon, along with Pig in the Blanket. My son in-law ordered the Monster Burrito (which didn't seem to Monsterish, he said it was pretty good. My wife ordered the Remedy, which was a mixture of Chorizo, green chili, tomatoes and such with two eggs on top. I ordered the biscuits and gravy, which was pretty good ( I am picky when it comes to this). Our grand Daughter ordered the breakfast tacos (sorry no picture), and our grand daughters male friend ordered some French toast (sorry no picture), which didn't look like your normal French toast but was told it was actually good. Our waitress "Bar B", was very friendly, and had a positive attitude and smile from ear to ear. You could tell all the staff there seemed to be in a good and up beat mood. Wow this place is just horrid. Ordered 3 eggs over medium and got one broken and cooked thru and 2 super slimy and gross. The bacon was like beef jerky, could hardly chew it. Grits were super disgusting, i have no idea how they made them taste so awful. I would have been better off setting my money on fire and eating a bowl of sand. That said, the waitress was sweet and on point and the manager was also nice and agreed that my plate was no good and comped me. If it wasn't for the food i would have no complaints. Visiting for the weekend and were really impressed with Syrup! It's super close to our hotel so it was really easy to get there but I assume it would be harder with a car. The place was nice, nothing crazy, but the menu was incredible! There were so many things that we are planning on going back tomorrow! Beignets were incredible!! (I loved the vanilla maple syrup, didn't like the buttermilk syrup) The crack bacon was super good (my gfs favorite) And her omelette was really solid as well. I have been wanting to try this restaurant for so long!! Every time we've been to Colorado I have hopes to stop in, and this time, we did!! I am so happy to say that the wait was worth it!! Located in downtown, the restaurant is in an adorable building. It's actually bigger than we expected. The staff are very inviting and gave us recommendations on everything they see the locals order. So of course we had to try a bunch. We ordered the pigs in a blanket, breakfast tacos, kitchen sink, Nutella French toast & two coffees. Do not be alarmed when the pigs in a blanket come out looking like regular pancakes. We expected them to look like the corn dog ones, haha. But rest assured, there will be sausage in the pancakes and it's really yummy. The kitchen sink was a giant portion that would take 4 people to eat. (We had a party of 2). Nutella French toast was cooked to perfection as well as the breakfast tacos. They also offered an amazing variety of syrup flavors, which was expected given their name. Some that caught our eye were butterscotch and coconut. Both absolutely delicious. 10/10 recommend. This is your sign, go here for breakfast. read more

I'm visiting Denver and meeting an old friend for coffee and breakfast; the place we were originally going to meet up at was closed on Mondays so my friend suggested Syrup and it was pretty good. My friend is gluten free and they had many options for her. I had pancakes with bacon and their special Bloody Mary (that has pickle juice in it!) which was one of the best Bloody Mary's I have ever had (but you definitely need to like pickles :) ; that's why it's the only photo attached because I'm pretty obsessed with this!. The place was very busy for a Monday morning, but the service was excellent in getting right to us and the drinks (coffee and alcohol), as well as, the food were brought in a timely manner. While everyone was very helpful and I hate to make this 4 stars because it really isn't about the restaurant and more about the parking, however, the parking did turn a positive experience into a bit stressful time. My friend parked on the street, but I parked in the garage underneath; you have to call a number at the entrance to get a code to enter the garage (there is a fee, but Syrup does validate so it ends up being free), yet the network service didn't allow my phone to work underneath in the garage. There was a line of cars behind me and I didn't know what to do. I ended up getting out of my car and asking the lady behind me to call for me so I was able to go in and park. Then I was able to take care of everything once I was upstairs with Wifi. The moral of this story is, try to park on the street even though the parking lot is free once validated. I did like the atmosphere and would definitely go again next time I'm in Denver. read more

The was my last stop on my trip to Denver and it did not disappoint. Its a must stop if you're in the downtown Denver area and looking for some delicious breakfast. Ambiance: Syrup is located inside Ritz-Carlton so the decor and ambiance is what you would expect inside such a hotel/resort. Drinks: We had the seasonal mimosas and they were not only delicious but they looking extra luxurious with the cinammon/honey rim. The fanciest mimosa I've ever had by far. Service: There was no wait and we were able to get a table right away. We were given plenty of time to make our choices and the service overall was great. Food: I had the chicken and waffles and it was one of the best chicken and waffles I've ever had. The presentation was on point so much I was inclined to share on Instagram. I was able to try some of the caramel apple pancakes and my goodness, it was incredible! My mouth is watering just thinking back on them lol. Tips: I recommend trying the chicken and waffles and/or the caramel apple pancakes. Both are exceptional. On our last day in Denver, we wanted to have a good hearty breakfast to see us off, which turned into a godsend since our flight was cancelled (3 days in a row, I might add.) Seeing the reviews and pictures, I knew I needed to have tots in my life so we walked the short distance from our hotel to Syrup. At first, I was confused about where it was, but it's easy to realize that it's actually IN a business building. That being said, it was kind of cold and overcast outside so we were glad there was a huge waiting area we could sit at after we put our names on the list. We waited about 30 min on a Sunday morning around 11am, which I think is amazing for the crowd that was waiting. They turn tables fast here. However, this is evident in the not quite clean cups, silverware and table. But honestly, I've never been a germaphobe and even though the pandemic has made me hyper aware, I haven't really changed my personality so it was fine. The service was good, with the exception that it was really busy and they seemed a bit short staffed. It took a long time to get coffees, which is odd but I think the bar makes them and they were busy getting drinks to people who were waiting to be seated. The food was pretty good. I got the cherry creeker and although I liked the corned beef, the eggs leave little to be desired. They had a lovely runny center but whatever they cook them in is not good. There is no flavor and there was a lot of water underneath. This made the whole thing bland but if there were no water... chef's kiss. The tots were very well cooked though. My bf got the Elvis french toast. That thing was dense and sweeeet but very, very, very delicious. Decadence itself that thing was. Would I come back? Yep. Completely surpassed expectations. We were between here and another breakfast spot very close by and I must say we were very happy with the decision to come here instead. No wait (late Saturday morning) and super fast service. Less than 10 minutes from ordering to food at the table. -Monster Burrito: 5/5, this thing was massive, and bursting with flavor. They didn't skimp on any of the ingredients at all. Definitely recommend this. -The Jerry Omelet: 4/5, onions had a nice flair and added some good flavor. Came here before our flight back to grab a nice brunch. Parking was quiet easy for Wednesday afternoon. There's a plenty street parking nearby if you don't want to park in the building because it's quiet expensive. The restaurant itself is located in Denver Place. We were seated right away and we ordered bunch of stuff. Our favorite is their beignet, so if you come here, spare your gut for this one! I got cherry creek because it says that dish what makes this restaurant famous. I was disappointed because the egg, both of them, we're not runny. I'm not sure if that's intentional or not. I also recommend to ask for extra crispy for their tater tots. You can thank me later! Other food are just ok. They are standard brunch food.
