I went there with my fiance for brunch and the wait was more than 30 mins so my advise is reserve a table if you know you are looking to dine here because you'll do a lot of waiting just showing up. We ordered some fresh toast and some waffles with some eggs and sausage and BACON; our food was brought to us about another 30 mins after ordering it which I felt was too long, and when the food was brought, it was incomplete because the bacon wasn't there. They ended up bringing the bacon about 15 mins into us eating already and when I tried the bacon, I didn't like it so I told our waitress that I didn't like it and would appreciate if I wasn't charged for it. In the past when I would make a complaint to a waiter/waitress about a meal, they'd switch it up for something else or they'll just take it out of the bill. But our waitress whom I can't for the life of me remember her name now, decided to double down on it by saying I still have to get charged even though I only took a tiny bite from it. Way over hyped. Shame on you influencers for saying this place is amazing, but thank you for justifying your paid testimonies. I am disappointed in myself for getting into the hype and seeing great looking photos of their food. Essentially they're trying to be some upscale michelin-esque brunch spot. They are no Four Chairs in SF. For food we got the Korean fried chicken, the blueberry cloud french toast and the tornado galbi. For drinks I got a rose flavored latte and the bf got a coffee. The Korean fried chicken was disgraceful. It had some weird pancake batter on it, kinda like what you would use for pakora. It wasn't crispy either, felt like frozen nuggets. The french toast was only soaked into maybe 2cms of the bread. So basically it was eating dry bread stuffed with cream cheese and blueberries. Though the blueberries were good. The tornado galbi, SMH. It was awful to point that it's rude to the word awful. It was room temp to almost borderline cold. The rice was hella bland and and mushy, probably because it was just sitting under a heat lamp waiting to be ordered. Straight up world record for the least of amount of meat on a plate. It was literally just a small chuck on the short rib, a one biter portion. The egg was cool looking but really bland and there was too much demi glaze. They really shouldn't list flavor options, it totally threw off our waiter. Rose latte?!?! *malfunctioning waiter*. A latte with rose flavor, oooh(smh). Overall hella overpriced for food that is already preprepared and sitting under a heat lamp. So it gives the allusion of fast service. People are just enthralled with getting 2 pieces of candied bacon. Located in a guess it's downtown/foodie area of Walnut Creek. Street and lot parking. Nice area to walk around. My experience here was the same experience I had at Santa Monica. I think the prices are too steep for what they offer. $10 for an Ube latte with not actual coffee. Each entree is $25.00 plus, I would expect it to be spectacular. Cloud French toast was good. The Crab Omelette was dry. Service is not great and feels very casual for the price point of their menu. Asked for Brussels sprouts as a starter. Our entrees came out a few minutes after our Brussels. We were sharing everything and barely had enough room on our two top. Would've been nice if they gave us some time to enjoy the Brussels before firing the entrees. We had to keep moving dirty plates to a side by table. Ambiance is nice. We heard so much about the Sweet Maple restaurant and went for lunch last Wednesday. The decor looks nice and clean. We were greeted by a friendly server, Kiki, who explained and recommended the items in the menu in detail so we ordered Galbi Omurice, Souffleegg skillet Gardena, millionaire's bacon, and fried chicken. The food was delicious but if we wanted to nitpick about it then was the fried chicken's coating was too thick and hard, the omurise's egg was not soft as I expected. So many good reviews...but I'm here to burst the bubble unfortunately. After a bunch of researching as a tourist visiting the area for the first time, we decided on his place after the sparkling reviews and fantastic pictures. But I guess that's the goal here...pretty pictures. The look of everything did not disappoint. The server was pretty great, until the end...when she just disappeared and we were ready to leave. We got an order of the Millionare's Bacon, the Gardena Souflegg, the Petite Pancakes, the kids pancake dish with the chicken/mango sausage, a Mango Paradise Mimosa and iced Coffee. Welp...the bacon and the mimosa were super delish! (Hence the 3 stars instead of no stars ). The fancy souflegg needed seasoning, especially salt. So did the potatoes that came with it. The potatoes were nice and crispy so that's a plus but otherwise just a bit flavorless. The kids pancake dish was beautiful and my kids ate it all but it was pretty basic and I could have made it at home. The coffee wasn't great and the petite pancakes were dense and had such a small amount of blueberry sauce for the big stack of cakes. I'm just such a sore loser when I pay a lot of money for not very good food. I will say that it was a very neat, clean and modern looking spot. I was there with 2 little children, and there were other families there too so that put me at ease! I can't say I'd ever tell anyone to go there though based on my experience. read more

I had brunch with friends at Sweet Maple, we were seated on the patio, the experience was not pleasant due to gnats. Gnats flew in our food and drinks. We made a complaint to the manager, who tried to normalize the situation. I'm sure we ate a few gnats based on the fact they were swarming overwhelmingly like crazy. O. M. G! I am loathe to leave a great review because I know it's just going to make it harder to get into this place, but it is amazing! The food was incredible! I had the chicken croffle - their take on chicken and waffles. The chicken was crispy and plentiful and the croffle is basically a croissant smashed into a waffle iron - delicious! My husband ordered the Tornado Galbi Omurice - fried rice with eggs, sort of whipped over it. It also came with delicious short ribs. We shared an order of the millionaire's bacon which is their signature dish. It's pretty much the most amazing bacon you could eat with just the right combination of salty and sweet with a touch of spice. The decor is gorgeous and they have a very nice patio with some outdoor seating. The service was incredible and everyone was super friendly and helpful.
