They've raised the price and limited the restaurant hours. All you can eat is now $24 for lunch and $26 for dinner I think. Still doesn't open on Saturdays and no more dinner on Fridays. All-you-can-eat is a sight to behold when the place is packed with 20- and 30-something year-olds at lunch time. The rules of the competi - I mean, lunch - are clearly posted. But the sushi. It's good. And pretty cheap. My tempura shrimp roll with crab and avocado was super, and the yellowtail roll is great too. The chefs wear fun Japanese outfits and seem to know everyone who walks in the door, which makes for a jovial atmosphere. Fire cracker roll - top: spicy tuna inside: crab, scallop, avocado This roll had very yummy ingredients inside. it has too much sauce for my liking, it saturates the rest of the roll. Also, for being called the firecracker, it's not very spicy. Crunch dragon roll - it is like your typical dragon roll at any sushi restaurant, but they used quality ingredients. No complaints. Calamari tempura roll- it was good, the Calamari was cooked perfectly, only complaint is that it had a bit too much batter. All in all, I like this sushi restaurant more than others in the area (kabuki, ichima). Will come here again when craving sushi near-by. read more

I like this place. So far I've been here twice, even though I'm very against the whole "you have 1 hour to eat" scare tactic. This place actually doesn't abide by that rule, well, I haven't experienced it yet. The sushi is really good for a buffet and the selection is wide. Great little hole-in-the-wall sushi joint for good and cheap sushi. It's a pretty small place, so there is a chance you might not be able to be seated right away. There is about 3 tables in there, and the rest is all counter seating. Oh, and parking is a hassle. This place shares a small parking lot with about 5 other businesses. I'd say there are probably only about 12 spots available? Luckily, I haven't had any issues with parking yet. Service is okay. Sushi is okay. My favorite roll is the Golden Philly. (deep-fried Philadelphia roll) Me and one of my BFF's always get it whenever we come. I've also done AYCE here with my Dad. I don't think it was too expensive. Maybe like $20? I'm not too sure. Small, cozy spot. From the outside seems a bit old, but inside is nice! They have AYCE option for $25.95. The owner is super friendly and funny. She's Japanese and likes to chat.. Small and almost cozy. The owner (I think) was there and served the four of us. He was very attentive and was always spot on when taking our orders, never having to ask us twice what we ordered. All orders were made quickly and correctly. It is pricey for the AYCE sushi but you can't really find good AYCE sushi in the 626. The sushi here is not bad at all, considering. It's location is a bit strange, I almost passed the plaza it's in. It's sandwiched between a donut shop and a massage parlor. I will be back whenever I'm craving a massive amount of sushi. read more

Honestly, the all you can eat is pricey for the quality of sushi that you get. The restaurant is in a corner of a tiny plaza, a little run down. The all you can eat price is $27.95 per person. There are a couple of rules to the all you can eat: 1. You have an hour once you place your order 2. You have only two rounds of sushi to be placed 3. You must finish all of your sushi, including the rice or it will be charged as a la carte. 4. Each piece of sushi not eaten will be an extra 1.75. The quality of the sushi is one of the worst I've ever eaten. The rice is dry, the fish is not fresh, the sushi itself was falling apart when I picked it up from the dish. I ended up paying more than the price of just ordering it one by one. If you have $30+ dollars to spend, just go to a highly rated sushi place for actual sushi instead of here. read more

So I went here with a friend the other day to finally try this place out since everyone kept talking about how great the sushi here was. First off, parking was the biggest bitch ever. The restaurant is located in such a SMALL and BUSY plaza which made it incredibly difficult to find a good parking spot. On top of that, this place is definitely a hole in the wall. The pricing for AYCE sushi wasn't too bad, but it is more expensive than Asahi Sushi (one of my favorite AYCE sushi places in Riverside). The sushi here was definitely interesting. The raw sushi pieces, such as the Albacore, was definitely THICK-- for some people, it's a plus. Since I ordered three orders (not thinking that it was going to be SO THICK), the Albacore definitely grossed me out to the point where I lost my appetite. Additionally, they give you A LOT of rice in your sushi, which causes you to be full in a faster rate; Thus, the CONS to this place would be the small place that probably only fits 20 people MAX, THICK slices of raw fish meat, amount of rice in the sushi, the intimidating old waitress that seems to just hate her job being a waitress, and the rules to the AYCE sushi (such as only having an hour limit to order, two rounds of ordering, and charging for any unfinished left over pieces). However, the PROS to this sushi joint would be the cooked stuff. I think EVERYTHING, especially the Jasmine Roll, Spider Roll, Special Eel Roll, etc. were pretty legit. The tempuras were very hot, fresh, and crunchy, which made it the BEST AYCE tempura ever. But definitely beware of not being able to finish your food cause the rules said they'll charge you for any unfinished sushi. Overall, I definitely had a nice time here eating because it was by far the best COOKED AYCE sushi. I wouldn't mind coming here again with just ONE or TWO friends considering the fact that this is one of the smallest places ever. read more

Not sure what the restaurant or food is like since this is the second delivery order I've made and none arrived. I'm sure it's the delivery company they used but regardless, first time around deliverer can't find my location so I just cancelled it, second time around was partly my fault since I accidentally put the wrong city (an additional 10 minute drive) from the address I had placed. Deliverer called and confirmed and I corrected the address. 20 minutes later I get a phone call that the order is out of their 3 mile radius and had to be returned back to the restaurant. Just very inconvenient for the company to not deliver for a minor error. Again, I have yet to try the restaurant but their inhumane service is a no no. read more

Was craving sushi one day and Yelped to find this little gem. You can sit at the sushi bar or at a table. (Small area) For ayce, you grab a menu and mark down however many you want. You don't get to mark down more until you finish round one of whatever you've ordered. Their ayce menu has a wide selection. I would definitely recommend the jasmine hand roll. It is FANTASTIC. I took down two stars because of the restroom situation. I'm not sure for the male restroom, but in the female one, I see that's where they keep their box of tempura batter mix?... I noticed that and immediately thought "well I'm glad we only ordered one tempura sushi." Also, this place is a bit pricey so beware and don't assume the normal range of $15-$20 for ayce meals. It's also $1.50 apiece for every piece left over that you couldn't finish. But, things went downhill from there. First, the side of ginger appeared to be old. Upon closer examination we found a bug in it. Both rolls were "fishy" tasting with the first bite and both of us got sick an hour later. I understand COVID limitations, but I wouldn't have served any of that food to my worse enemy. But in all seriousness this place isn't so bad, the quality of the fish, especially the albacore nigiri was pretty good in my opinion and the rolls weren't that bad either. They did lack in variety, however, which was somewhat disappointing. They also didn't offer a lot of the items on their normal menu in the AYCE portion. Sushi Ya is definitely lacking in service and ambience. It is located in a strip mall with limited parking. There is only one waitress, an elderly Japanese lady whose service needs improvement. She treats her customers in an intimidating manner as if she were paying us for the meal. The sushi rolls were average in price just about as pricey as Yoshida, which has way better service, quality, and atmosphere. They have a lot of untraditional rolls that are deep fried; so if you like those you are in for a treat. However, STAY AWAY from the lunch specials. Even though they are relatively cheap about $8 for a combo, you will be disappointed with the dry beef teriyaki and salmon. Overall, come here for cheap sushi but the small messy restaurant sure won't impress your date! read more

Price for lunch is $22, so you better get your money's worth!! - Good sushi: Ono, unagi, jasmine roll, spider roll, halibut, salmon - Great, especially for AYCE: red snapper (my fav), halibut, yellowtail, albacore, mackerel.
