Literally amazing. The Yuzu Yellowtail was a freaking highlight. Their Yuzu sauce is a must get. The Houston Roll was the best and we got 2- the one I liked least was the Hot Papa Roll - it made us both feel weighed down. My partner was obsessed with the sashimi and again the Yellowtail (and Octopus) was the fav. The happy hour is amazing and so affordable. It's no surprise you'll find me as a frequent diner at Sushi Warriors. Anytime I even think about trying a new sushi spot and then look at the pricing, the obvious winner is always Sushi Warriors. While I raved about the lunch pricing before, for $10 more, I'm a huge advocate on ordering the basic AYCE dinner-- even during weekday lunch. I've noticed the lunch menu is a bit limited compared to the dinner menu, which includes my all-time favorite cold apps, the Yuzu Yellowtail and Salmon Carpaccio. REFRESHING, FRESH, DELICATE, MELT IN YOUR MOUTH worthy and easily costs +$25 for at least two of these bad boys if you order them anywhere else. IMPROVEMENTS: SERVICE/ATMOSPHERE: Just like a year ago, the service is still mid. Slow, inattentive, and on one occasion, it was scorching hot inside, which was rare since I'm always freezing in here. Let's start with location. It's downtown so parking is limited with a garage within the plaza, especially if you want to show up at peak times. I came on a Thursday morning at 1115am and drove right up to the front door. By 1200pm it was filling fast. The restaurant is clean and aesthetically pleasing with pop music playing in the background. Has lots of seating, I can only assume this place gets PACKED with the great All you can eat sushi deal! Lunch AYCE is $27 from 11am-3pm with a 2 hour limit. I came in and the hostess sat me right away. It's a Thursday morning, I was greeted by a young and energized newer server. He had to keep asking his shadow if things were available for ordering, he was learning the menu the same as I was. But they were a good team for my service and support. Onto the food, keep in mind we are land locked in the middle of Texas. We can't expect the best quality of fish. I ordered roughly 25 pieces of nigiri sushi and 1 hand roll. Did not try any of the special rolls. The tuna I had was a little dry and extra fishy, not the greatest but with a little ginger and wasabi it was easy to mask the fishy flavor. (Have to eat all your pieces before ordering more, 10pc limit per order). The surprise was the salmon, it was fresh, melt in your mouth, and perfect rice. The hand roll was perfect for the salmon, the rice had the perfect amount of vinegar and the texture and salt of the Nori complemented the salmon nicely not giving you the mushy food in your mouth feeling. You can feel every grain of rice and the nori stayed dry so it wasn't soggy from rice condensation. The peppered salmon was also a nice delight. Snapper was a little tough but overall good. Hamachi was good. Edamame regular was perfect. Lightly salted and warm. The tamago sushi was good, the egg was clearly made prior and cut after so it was cold. But it was sweet. Now if you're coming with kiddos, plenty of kid friendly foods as well. The appetizers and fried rice. I got the steak fried rice, overall 7/10. The steak was made well done, probably should have told them medium, my fault. Overall good flavors, you can taste the subtle white pepper which is essential. No spring onions, they use regular white onion, peas, and carrots, which balanced well with the saltiness. I had to add edamame to bring it down a bit. All in all, great quality for the cost! They've got a really good variety of menu, and the service is super fast. Not much wait time after placing an order, so you can slowly add things on at your own pace. The appetizer dishes were pretty good. We enjoyed the Yuzu Yellotail especially. The sushi pieces were okay, but I wish it was a little less rice. We opted for more Sashimi cause the sushi was too filling, but regretted it cause the Sashimi was subpar with a little touch texture. It didn't feel like a good quality fish. The kurobuta skewer was tasty. I liked the smoky charred flavor, but definitely recommend eating it with rice, cause it's a little fatty. And his appearance at our table was in frequent and surprisingly void of any level of care. Not once did he ask how our food was prepared or if it was prepared to our liking, whether it was just a matter of fact, taking our order and then disappearing, and the food appeared at our table. I've heard good things about this generally newish AYCE sushi spot right in the triangle so I knew I had to try it out. I built up my appetite and came into this restaurant with a mission to eat as much as I can and get my money's worth. We had a reservation for a big party so we got to sit in one of the side rooms which I really appreciated since it gave a very intimate and private experience. As for the menu, there are different tiers but the most basic is $36 per person and comes with sashimi so that's all I needed. None of the other tiers seemed worth it to me. For the food itself, it was all amazing. Every piece of sashimi came out so fresh and fatty and the portions were very generous. Their collections of rolls is also amazing as each had not too much rice so I could fill up on the fish. I was a big fan of the orange dragon and longhorn rolls. I have been to Sushi Warrior 20+ times so I feel like I can finally give it a fair review. Sushi Warrior is a very solid 4 Star AYCE Sushi Restaurant. if Sushi Warrior is the closest AYCE Restaurant to you, then you will not be disappointed. So you may be wondering, "this all sounds great, why only 4 stars" Well first I will tell you why it has 4 then I will give the few small reasons on why I dock it 1 Star. The good: Sushi Warrior is all around a fantastic AYCE Restaurant. It has everything you can want on the Sashimi menu, many cooked and raw rolls to choose from, and most importantly everything has a good flavor and taste Fresh, which we all know is one of the most important items when looking at Sushi Restaurants. If you are into Rolls, SW Rolls come with 10 pieces, which is more than any other AYCE Restaurant around. I have posted pictures of the menu, and there is also a separate menu that has great selection of Tea and Boba drinks. The vibe is always great as well. It's not noisy but has noise. I think that is the sweet spot. I want to feel like I can chat at a normal level with my party without feeling like I can hear others across the room. Finally, as with any AYCE Restaurant in Austin (except you Kan) the service is always top tier! Now the few "bad" things. The appetizer menu is a bit smaller than most AYCE Restaurants in the area, however that's a me thing, if you are there for just the fishy fish, don't worry about that! The next few things, I will start by saying, I know it's not fair, but idc! Sushi Warrior hand rolls are a bit smaller and a bit more wimpy compared to Oumi, and their Sashimi size and thickness is also a bit smaller compared to Oumi. Now, yes, I get it, I'm comparing to another restaurant, SW is not at all bad, it's just slightly under Oumi. However with that said, Oumi is far north. So I will leave you with, if Oumi is out of your driving distance then you have no need to compare the 2, if so Sushi Warrior will be a great Sushi filled night out! I was so excited to try Sushi Warriors since I've seen so many Instagram reels about the restaurant and heard great things about it! So when a family member suggested we go, I immediately agreed. Our party of 5 people came in at 8pm the Sunday night after Christmas and were sat within 5 minutes. Our server, Naomi, explained how the all you can eat menu worked. If one person chooses a higher level of AYCE option, the whole table must get the same level of AYCE, even if you want to order a la carte. We all chose to do the Basic AYCE option, we were surprised that it included sashimi because at other AYCE restaurants, sashimi is usually only made available on the premium menu. We ordered tonkotsu ramen and was disappointed that the broth seemed watered down and lacked flavor. The edamame was a bit too salty for our liking. But the seafood ceviche was fresh, fruity and spicy. I tried a shrimp tempura handroll and it was delicious. The crispy sushi rice was too dense and ridged for the roof of my mouth. The eel, salmon, smoked salmon, peppered tuna, and butter fish sashimi was all so fresh and scrumptious. We were excited for ice cream and they normally have red bean, green tea, vanilla and strawberry ice cream, but they ran out of red bean and green tea ice cream that we wanted to try. As we ate our crumbly vanilla and strawberry ice cream, we heard a song that they were playing that we thought was good so we shazam'd it. We were discussing how the song was titled "Sushi Warrior Anthem" and written by Jaspal Singh who goes by the Sudo name of Jas Cash, when Naomi came up to us to take our payment and said "oh yeah, we have a song about the restaurant! It just came out! Jaspal is right there! (points to another server) Do you want me to bring him to your table so you can meet him and get his autograph?" And they our table cracked up because a music producer was standing right that and we were amazed that he was able to write such an amazing song about the restaurant! I was so excited to try this ayce sushi restaurant! I made a resy for a Friday night date night, party of 2 at 8:30pm Our waiter greeted us pretty quickly and explained the menu to us. I really wanted to try the wagyu on the hot rock, So I thought we had to get the Diamond level. But apparently the gold level has a wagyu hot rock as well. It is good to know that for next time. The food comes out so fast. And the way it came out and what came out was a little confusing, But we ended up eating everything anyways. Here's what I learned... If you order the gold level you will get all of the items in the little box at the top and then you can select anything from the main menu below as all you can eat. Today we went to Sushi Warriors for the ACYE lunch. The place is very aesthetically pleasing. It was also nicely decorated for the holidays. I came here during their soft opening and I couldn't be more impressed. We were able to be seated right away and I love that all the employees greet a new customer when walking to your seat. The vibe is low lit and well decorated. Before our meal, we got a free sake shot to take with the chef and staff. The ayce options start at $39. The menu was a little confusing as we couldn't tell what was included but our server quickly cleared that up for us. I think the menu is very extensive for what you're paying. First time trying all you can eat sushi and overall I liked it and was fun to try. It was cool to try lots of different dishes but you do have to eat a lot to get your moneys worth. I tried the tonkatsu ramen, a hand roll, a sushi roll, tuna sashimi, tuna crispy rice and strawberry ice cream for dessert. I was definitely full at the end but the portions besides the rolls were smaller than average so that helps. Some food came out super quick and others took a while so timing was hard to judge, which made choosing what you wanted to order a little difficult. I ordered an appetizer in the beginning and it ended up coming out after my entree, after I had to ask the waiter about it. The quality of the sushi was surprisingly good and I enjoyed the ramen too. The chicken skewers and the strawberry ice cream were also afavorites. The tuna crispy rice was not good, the rice to tuna ratio was off. Not enough rice, it tasted like just straight spicy tuna. We came in on a Sunday night around 7 and it was still super busy so be prepared for a wait if you go around busy times. Heard about this place on Instagram through @austinfunforkids- I'm so glad we tried this place out!! We came here on a Friday night, and were inquiring about a reservation- they said it's for two hours in advance- we were a little hesitant because that meant dinner would be at around 9:15pm and that felt so late for our group of 11 @_@ but we took it!! Wow/ this place was beyond what our expectations were- we loved everything!! The service was so fast, partial orders came out while we were still putting the tables orders through lol! The food quality is seriously fresh! For $36 per person at the basic tier is definitely worth it- especially if you go get to go sushi or eat out and 2-4 rolls will cost you over $72 already. We had a private room saved for us, nice and roomy, no other noise from tables around us, and we could hear our own party and talk amongst ourselves comfortably. Even our kids gave great ratings about Sushi Warriors which says a lot, because there is something here for everybody in your party. Which is awesome. Great family spot. With a playground right outside. One thing I probably would pass on is maybe the ceviche/ I myself didn't love it, but everything else was tasty. Also, The changing table was missing from the women's bathroom, just a heads up if you have babies that need changing. - it looks like it was unbolted from the wall- maybe it's in the process of being replaced? Alot of special celebrations going on. Been there about 4 times (with membership you save a couple of dollars, too). As mentioned by other Yelpers - Sushi Warrior offers a tiered approach starting with lunch around $26 (for non-members) and then Silver ~$38.95/pp , gold is $~59.95 and Diamond options. Each higher tier allows you to order (usually only one) of several specialty items, which may be worthwhile depending on your preferences. Couple of gotcha's -- you both have to order the same tier, you cannot share or expect to get a GoTo box nor can you share any items - like an 8-piece roll (they kind of look away though if you want a taste). I stick with the sashimi - with my faves being the toro, waygu/beef, salmon carpaccio, hamachi (salmon and handroll), escolar, etc - so AYCE is cost effective for me. The interior, while noisy, was nice and mostly made up of booths so you had your own cocoon. We got a free sake shot to celebrate the chef, which was fun and helped to create community. I've always been cautious of AYCE sushi places because the quality is always not up to my standards. But Sushi Warriors exceeded my expectations. They have a 3 tier menu option for dinner. My husband and I went with the diamond tier which included a few select top tier items such as (A5 Waygu, Thai Chili Madai, Toro Nigiri and more) as well as other items in the other tiers that you can order once. I would say the sashimi nigiri was a little off on some of the items like salmon and hamachi. The sushi rolls were really good. Their ramen is a hard pass. We really liked their fried rice but the steak was overcooked. The uni was good but something was slightly off. The A5 Waygu came out on a hot stone platter and was really good, it wasn't the fattiest cut of meat but good enough to eat. Service was great but our food came out way too fast. We wish it came out one at a time so we could enjoy each dish. We had to eat quickly so some of the items wouldn't go cold. Very curious if they just have some of these dishes made already instead of making them to order. The only dessert option was ice cream which we declined. We wish they had more options in this category. The interiors were nicely designed with Japanese modern influence. It is quite noisy and there is even large screens for a more relaxed vibe. Nigiri is a bit heavy on the rice but the salmon and yellowtail quality is exceptional. Wagyu and sweet shrimp that are limited quantity are very good. From the appetizers, the yuzu yellowtail is the best as it hits so many notes. Hot food options looked decent too - I stayed with the agedashi tofu and the tempura which were both good (though skip the fried broccoli). We also learned they occasionally do sake shot cheers for the whole restaurant -- which sounds like such a fun, community-style touch we hopefully will be lucky to experience next time! The weekday lunch AYCE is such an incredible deal at $26. Well, it also depends how much you can eat. I put down 20 nigiri, three handrolls, a miso soup, and shumai. If you can't eat very much they have great lunch sets from $13-18ish. The quality of the fish is decent for an AYCE, but I was very disappointed in the tuna that I got (see pics). My tuna looked very different from the tuna that I see in the photos the business has posted. Possibly an off day, possibly a difference between lunch and dinner? I'm not sure. Will come back again to check it out. But there's a good selection of other fish to focus on! The escolar was wonderfully buttery (but don't eat too much of it!), and I enjoyed the yellowtail. And I loved the unagi too. Ratio of rice to fish is also really good here. LOVED the spider handroll and in fact ordered a second cos it was so good! Lots of softshell crab, generous avocado, Kani, and eel sauce. Very very tasty. In general, the handrolls are made really well here -- there is protein all throughout so you're not left with only rice at the end. The spicy scallop handroll was also great. The scallop was fresh and sweet. They don't have sashimi for lunch so I look forward to coming back for dinner. Also loved the tamago - nice thick slab, well seasoned. Absolutely skip the shumai. Service was very friendly and helpful. Edit: manager responded saying that tuna quality is better for dinner menu, so I'll definitely come back for that, and that's a good thing to know! read more

we really enjoyed our experience today. The staff was very kind and upbeat making the experience memorable. We ordered quite more than pictured. pretty much Everything was great from the flavor of the spicy edamame (which the menu doesn't say it's spicy, so just a heads up) to the escalor sushi, the hibachi shrimp, the shumai , the stuffed jalapeños, to the rolls!! everything was spot on and was out quickly. Definitely recommend this place. They also have claw machines if that's your thing. Lots of drink options, both alcoholic and Non. The only downside for me was the dessert was just three different flavors of ice cream. 10 out of 10 recommend them for AYCE. I'll definitely be returning read more

Annie was an amazing server, and this is some of the best sushi we have had in a long time. I highly recommend the Hot Papa Roll and the Rainbow Roll. The restaurant has a great vibe and is now on our list of favorite sushi restaurants. read more

This review would be five stars, but the customer experience has taken a bit of a dive due to failed expectations. This have been because the initial model, which was a membership with good-quality, unlimited sushi for one price point, turned out to be unsustainable. But whatever the fact of the matter, anyone that started can't help but feel roped in with a foot in the door technique, as since starting the membership the tiers have been limited by what someone can order and the A5 Wagyu in particular has declined in quality. Overall solid place for some sushi for lunch. We went for ayce sushi lunch menu. I would say sushi quality is alright. Definitely here for more value and quantity type sushi rather than quality fish. The dinner menu was bigger so maybe that is better. Hot food on the acye menu was better than expected. Well decorated space and great service! read more

Another AYCE spot in Austin! We quite prefer this place because they actually offer sashimi options, so you won't fill up on rice! The tiers are a little confusing though--it seems like you can only get those extras in the higher tiers once, so it's not necessarily unlimited. It does come plated beautifully though. I've visited a couple times, once as a smaller party of four and another as a large party of 25. I would say the service is attentive but for larger parties it gets overwhelming for them, esp since it's hard to remember who ordered what, or if the group doesn't order for sharing. They also do free sake shots with the chef so that was cool. Besides for annoying parking, I think this place is worth it for the quality. They have a reduced pricing for membership but unclear how that works or how often you need to go to make that worth it. read more

Don't recommend. They have three tiers of all you can eat and I got the silver option and for what it is, it's pretty expensive. Went with friends and after tip, it's like $50 per person. The sky diver roll still had shrimp skin inside, which left an unpleasant texture in my mouth. All the rolls we got were basically the same with avocado, imitation crab, etc. I felt like there weren't a lot of options. The premium sushi was really disappointing. Each person can only order one serving of the sweet shrimp and Wagyu. Wagyu and shrimp were both chewy. I couldn't finish even one piece. The best things were the miso soup and appetizers. No dessert menu but they have strawberry, vanilla, and green tea ice cream if you ask. Green tea ice cream tastes like pistachio. They have football games on the TV screens so the place is super loud and reminds me of a bar. Sushi Warriors is located at the triangle. There's a garage if you need to find more parking. read more

Quinn was a great server. The food was plentiful and really good. We selected the AYCE dinner option and the food came out quickly, waters were refilled often, and best of all, the sashimi (especially the salmon and yellowtail) were outstanding. Had another visit to Sushi Warriors this afternoon. Had a five out of five experience at this wonderful restaurant down inside the triangle. They came at us with a membership that you could not say no to, plus our attendant Nhi kept bringing us exceptional service as well. Smiles, drinks, food,more food and more smiles. Turns out she knows our faces from another event space some time ago. So nice to be recognized and get to create a liking to each other. Plus, the manager made herself known to us and made our meal that more welcoming. It's lunch... but it made our stay that more of an epic afternoon.
