Located easily off the 5 freeway for easy access and quick pickup of your takeaway order. Plenty of parking to ease pickup as well. Been here a few time pre-COVID19 but here are some recommendations. As this place is great for takeaway as well. It is helpful they have a separate menu for gluten free preferences. For example, the rolls are made gluten free by either grilling the shrimp instead or frying the ingredients in cornstarch. Starters: 1. Ahi tacos: like the combo of flavors. Priced right too. Most of their items are priced well for the quality and quantity you receive. 2. Shishito peppers: standard good. This is maybe one of the few items too expensive. Probably because it's such a simple dish to make at home and with peppers not being too pricey at the market. . . 3. The Jalapeño poppers "Jaimepeno": nice added touch with the spicy albacore. 4. Hamachi Kama: juicy and comes with a side salad. The fish is good quality but not my fave place for sashimi. However, there is a multitude of rolls to choose from. Here are some of my faves: 1. Lounge veggie roll: the slight spicy and oiliness from the peppers go great with the freshness of the other veggies. Slight crunch to the pepper too. 2. Ring of Fire: yes it's spicy but the coolness of the avocado helps haha 3. Cocomo: slightly sweet because of the toasted coconut and the sauce used. Eat it with the Ring of Fire if your tongue needs some calming down. 4. Happy wife roll: sweet potato on the inside surprisingly goes great with raw fish. 5. Haji: like the mustard sauce that it comes with. Service is friendly and efficient every time we visit. read more

Great Happy Hour (every day except Monday) at this local favorite. We enjoy many of the rolls, especially the Chronic (on the HH menu) and Tsunami. The cucumber seaweed salad , always fresh and tasty, is another favorite. It can get crowded but is worth the wait. read more

We regularly get take out or delivery from Sushi Lounge during the Covid pandemic and we are never disappointed. Today's order was no exception. They knocked it out of the park! We got miso soups, the Crunchy Roll, the Haji Roll, and Por Vida. Haji is moderately spicy and the Por Vida definitely packs a punch but each also has a lot of flavor. Worst experience at a sushi restaurant. Came here on a rainy day to support my local business and have some good rolls with the girlfriend and my niece . This is a review based on how I was treated . Ordered calamari and noted to my server and the manager the calamari was overly fried to the point of thin chips . I asked if this is normally fried that way and the manager in a condescending manner proceeded to say it's not traditional calamari and it's always fried that way . Which I know in any restaurant no dish is ever served dry and hard . But thanks for making my family uncomfortable. I don't know if it was because I was dining with a special person or if this place really was giving off the "come-sit-down-stay-awhile" vibe, because I enjoyed the garlic edamame, the sake was chilled and delicious, so much that we got refills, we got 3 orders of sushi rolls and they were all unique and really fresh, and the creme brulee was perfection, which is not what you expect from a sushi place! Honestly, I don't remember any of the names of the sushi we got, but I don't think you can go with a bad roll here. We really enjoyed watching the sushi chefs do their thing, since we were watching them from our table. Our waitress was so helpful in helping suggest the sake for us, and she was on top of the water refills, checking on us, and getting our food out to us promptly. My son and I went here on our way up from Mexico. We sat at the bar because we wanted fast service. I ordered a tuna sashimi plate and my son ordered a bento box. The sashimi was so good. We had the haji and the tsunami rolls, after we scarfed down some garlic edamame (which was delicious, by the way), and ended the evening with some creme brulee. I loved that the creme brulee was still warm and was the perfect ending to our evening. The ambiance was nice, but for dinner, they dim down the lights and really make this place a great date night place. Yelpers rely on recent reviews for up to the minute information on a restaurant's health. It pains me to give Sushi Lounge 2.5 stars so I am rounding it up to three. My go to sushi restaurant is in poor health at the moment. For years I have relied on Sushi Lounge to satisfy incessant cravings for raw fish. I have tried almost everything on the menu on my 47 visits so I do not take this review lightly. Last week my son and I popped in for lunch. They served him first and he respectfully sat in front of his plate watching it get cold for 20 minutes while waiting for my meal to arrive. I eventually asked the waitress to prepare my lunch to go and despite the 50 minute wait, this waitress did not apologize for the lack of lunch. I mentioned that I was leaving hungry to the manager on the way out who gave us 2 $13 vouchers that were only valid for 9 days. We returned yesterday and something that I ate has my stomach in knots. I have been up half of the night with a gurgling and uncomfortable gut. Sushi Lounge has totally discarded the concept of timing on my last two visits. Yesterday one of the meals arrived and was consumed before the other two people got anything to eat. After his plate was cleared the same manager that I spoke to last week apologized for the delay. About 10 minutes later we received part of our order. After we finished eating that I asked the waitress to cancel the final specialty roll which had been ordered 45 minutes previously. When we received the check the manager said that he could only honor one of the two vouchers that he gave me and my son even though they performed an awful service once again. At that time I did not notice that they also charged me for the free edamame that they offer with a Yelp check in. Lunch at Sushi Lounge had three tragic flaws including failure to deliver food, mis-charging customers and finally serving me something that made me sick. read more

I am adding my two cents to the others who have also written negative reviews about the service- the sushi nazi manager. This was my first experience with Sushi Lounge. I ordered online and had our meal delivered. Most of the meal was very good, especially the seaweed salad, which was fabulous. When I opened the shrimp crunchy roll, there was a very strong fishy odor. We tried one and had to throw out the rest. Just too stinky- like old fish. I called this morning to give them a chance to rectify the situation. The woman who answered was very sweet and apologized. She passed the phone to the manager. I told him how much we enjoyed our meal with the exception of the shrimp in the crunchy roll. He said, "all the shrimp came from the same place and was made at the same time, so there is no way it was bad." Silence. No apology. No offer to make amends in any way. I said thank you and hung up. He clearly did not want to take any responsibility and instead blamed the customer. A contrast to this is with Union Kitchen and Tap where when they neglected to send the chicken on top of my salad, offered many options to get rectify the situation, including taking it off my bill, making me a new order and even giving me a free meal the next time I order. Soooo generous and smart. I am now loyal customer. Sadly, Sushi Lounge has lost my business. Not a smart way to run a restaurant. read more

First time customer! Sitting in the bar and just had the best crispy rice (my go-to), Ring of Fire, and hot sake. The food was so much better than I expected. You know you found a gem when the large parking lot is packed, on a Sunday and Mother's Day. There's a screaming baby, loud patrons, and a line out the door, and every single person working here has a smile on their face, hustling, and they move around each other like they have this secret language. I fly solo so I'm always looking for places where I can sit at the bar but enjoy the restaurant environment. This location is PERFECT!!! Family friendly, single friendly and has outdoor seating.
