Ordered to-go since they aren't a dog friendly establishment. Everything was packaged separately which made it easy to tell what the rolls and sushi were. Everything tasted fresh, and the soft crab roll was very large. Was easy to pickup and use toast, and the timing estimate was accurate.

Absolutely a 5-star experience. Everything was incredibly fresh and tasted amazing. The standout for me was the Encinitas Roll with three different kinds of fish. It was fresh, well balanced, and easily one of the best specialty rolls I've had. The service was friendly, and the quality of the food really speaks for itself. I'll definitely be back and would highly recommend this place to anyone who loves great sushi.

Another great meal at Hooked on Sushi. I stopped by today and, despite how busy they were, the service was still excellent. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and my food came out quickly. I ordered the Vitamin Roll, a yellowtail hand roll, and a side of chicken gyoza. Everything was fresh and tasted great. The fish was especially fresh, which is one of the reasons I keep coming back. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I also thought it was sweet that they had Bluey on for the kids who were there eating with their families. Little things like that make a place feel welcoming.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Good staff, fresh food, and a great atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Hooked on Sushi continues to be one of my favorite sushi spots in North County. Highly recommend.

The place my mom and I wanted to go to had their power out so we quickly diverted. Nice place for reasonably priced sushi for area. Take out looked like their most popular option by far. The food came out very fast.

    Veggies Rolls and Edamame

Good number of options. Good service. I ordred some take outs and I also dined in. Always tasted fresh and flavourful. Only one time the fried rolls in vegan options was bad oily. It seemed the oil was not good. But generally nice place to get sushi and rolls.

5 star service, very friendly and accommodating! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance is chill, family friendly,[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] food is great! All dishes were good, my only critique is the sesame chicken was not very crispy because it was in the sauce and the veggies didn't taste as if they were fully cooked but flavor was good! Would gladly come back as they were very careful of my wife's peanut treenut and seafood allergies :)

    Sapporo - small

Celebrating the wife's wonderful performance review so decided to go out for sushi. Parking was surprisingly busy on a Monday night, but were able to find a spot and be seated right away. Ordered a bottle of Sapporo which happened to be one of the few things on the happy hour menu. Also, looking at the beer menu and doing the math the big bottle of Sapporo is the best bang for your buck before the happy hour discount. They do happy hour wine on Tuesdays if you're a fan of the grape. We ordered the Monkey Brain, Black Dragon, and the Homie. The homie was our favorite, but none were bad. Would probably only order the homie again. They have a robust menu so can't wait to come back and try other items.

Welcomed on entering by the hostess and seated promptly. It's a very nice open space with lots of seating and good amount of seating at the sushi bar. It has a nice ambiance with the music level and decor. It had a good clean feel inside. Sashimi combo comes with 6 piece sashimi a side salad and miso soup. Fish nicely sliced and good flavor! Soup could have been a touch hotter but it was pretty good overall on the flavor, nice pieces of seaweed and tofu chunks. Salad was a simple one but the dressing...SO GOOD!!!!!!! Nicely displayed Shrimp tempura appetizer was nicely cooked with shrimp to tempura ratio, dipping sauce was also really good 2 item combo with chicken katsu and crunch roll with rice, side salad and miso soup was really good. The katsu was nicely breaded and had good flavor alone, the dipping sauce was pretty good. Very tasty together. The crunch roll was huge and pretty tasty! Overall very good food and recommend for sushi!

Everything chef Gio recommended was so good! All the online menu pictures you see look just like what you get. We started with the salmon specialty which was the perfect sweet and salty combination. Then we had tuna nigiri that was great and my favorite the hamachi specialty which I thought was so unique and delicious! We also had some yellowtail hand rolls. I've never had a hand roll before and wow! We ended up ordering more they were so good. We had the Southtown roll which I thought was great and not too spicy (I took off the jalapeño and gave it to my boyfriend). We also had what I believe was yellowtail sashimi which also was great and not too spicy. Everything was super fresh and every employee was so nice. This place is all my boyfriend and I have been talking about the past 2 days. I cannot wait to go back!

The place has a large central bar with a few tables around the periphery as well as a few outside on the sidewalk. The decor is clean and modern and the place has a vibey feel. Not exactly sure how to rate this place. If rating it as a bar primarily that also has decent sushi, I'd give it five stars. If rating it as a sushi bar I'd give it three stars. All of the sushi that I had (nigiri, cut rolls and hand rolls) were good but nothing special. If you're looking for a great sushi experience, this is likely not the place. They have a small selection of Japanese and local craft beers as well as bottled and tap sake. I originally characterized the service as slow and inattentive. But looking at it from the perspective of a bar, it was casual and friendly in the slow way you'd expect for hanging out in a bar and socializing or watching sports.

As noted by its name, this place served a fusion of Chinese and Korean cuisines. Their Encinitas location took over what used to be a roadside diner along N Coast Hwy 101. The seating capacity was less than 40 people which included a few high-top counter spots. At my last visit, I came for a late dinner before their closing time. A large menu was posted on the wall behind the service counter that listed about two dozen food offerings. The items seemed to be comfort food like pot stickers, spring rolls, fried rice, and chicken wings but flavored with unique combinations of seasonings and spices. I started my meal with the Marinated Beef Tri-Tip Skewers which came as a set of three and a Chinese mustard for dipping. The meat was very tender and well-seasoned. I also ordered the Cumin Lamb Stir Fry which the cashier said was medium spicy. After tasting a couple of bites of the noodles from the serving bowl, I agreed that the heat level was moderate, even for my palate. I thought the portion size should have been more for the price. That was my main criticism for both items, otherwise the food was solid for an Asian fusion eatery.
