The absolute worst way to end an evening is driving out to a restaurant that claims to be fully open, only to arrive and be told the kitchen is already closed. If your kitchen closes early, your listed hours need to reflect that. It is completely unacceptable to bait customers in with the promise of a meal, let them waste their time and gas to get there, and then turn them away empty-handed. The lighting was warm, soft, and intimate, with beautiful mirrors and frames casting a gentle glow. The staff were very professional and friendly. Although we arrived late for our reservation, we were able to find a seat near the bar, before transitioning to the bar and received attentive service. They have a live dj that played upbeat house music, which set a cool vibe. I ordered drink number nine, which featured coconut cream. Drink number ten was spectacular--they set it ablaze with cinnamon that ignited into sparks. The menu was pretty eclectic. I enjoyed the fried chicken with caviar, my first time trying it, and it did not disappoint! The lobster bao buns on the other hand looked beautiful but lacked seasoning and flavor. The overall experience was wonderful. I noticed many guests celebrating special occasions here--it's an ideal spot for birthdays, anniversaries, or first dates. For cocktails, we tried the N'9 (tequila with pineapple and coconut cream) and the N'10 (mezcal with passionfruit and lime flavors). Both were great and very refreshing. I've been here a few times for both the nightlife and the restaurant and the ambiance is absolutely GORGEOUS. I've never had a bad experience with the service and the food has always been delicious. I'm usually not a ceviche person at all, but I gave theirs a try and it took everything in me not to order seconds. Upon arrival, the hostess said she'd seat us in a couple minutes. 22 minutes pass by, as we frequently tried checking in for updates about our table. It turns out the manager had given our table away to a different group. We were very hungry and obviously unhappy with the situation. A gal from my group insisted on a free round from the bar as we waited; thankfully, the hostess agreed. We were about to walk out. John is an absolute magician behind the bar - he can craft incredible cocktails in the blink of an eye. He also had calm and gentle energy throughout the whole order. We were finally seated at a table at 9:14pm. We ordered a variety of different shareable plates for the table and enjoyed each one! The ceviche was lovely and the steak kabobs were phenomenal! This was honestly one of the better meals I've had in a while - it was filling and flavorful. Icing on the cake? Everything is Hella spicy so if you're sensitive, you might want to have a couple shots of tequila first Ha ha, I had some rosé champagne so I was good to go Bring it on! The cucumbers were great and I liked the tahini dressing so much I wanted to dip everything in it, including myself! Next course was the Hamachi Crudo, which looked like macaroni a.k.a. a mishmash of a presentation they need to work on. We had that delicious ahi tuna with gluten-free sesame chips aplenty. Very interesting concoction! I give them points for creativity! Next up was some Indonesian rice that BF ordered because it reminded him of his earlier days and he said it was great but I didn't eat it. My experience here was nothing short of amazing. From the time I made the reservation with Anh to the excellent customer service with our waitress Antonia. The occasion was for my wifes birthday. I had about 12 people originally on my list to come but as the time came, it jumped to almost 20. Anh had initially reserved the upper area to accomodate us and promised us it would be enough room to host our party. Sure enough it was more than enough room. The food was outstanding. The presentation was top notch and the taste was on another level. Our Waitress Antonia, was on point the whole night. She continuously checked up on us and kept our drinks flowing the entire night. Me and my friends couldn't drink tonight so we didn't get to try the drink menu, although the drink menu did look appeasing. Food: Noodles - this came with a spicy sauce. Noodles were good, nothing special. Steak skewers: it came with 2 skewers and a greed salad. The skewers were really good and tender. Since it had two we were able to share. Duck: this was a duck leg with rice topped with an over easy egg. Everything was cooked very well and who doesn't love a good egg yolk! Kimchi Marble Potatoes: just as it sounds, very good. Has a good spice to it. Broccolini: never received it... Overall presentation of each item we actually did receive was nice, colorful, and well plated. Here is why my rating is low... Service: our waiter was not good. He did refill our water once but someone else brought our water initially after asking us if we wanted tap or sparkling, but not once did he asked us if we needed anything. When we were done eating, (you could tell by the plates) he asked if we needed boxes. But didn't bother to ask if we wanted dessert. He came back with boxes and was ready for us to pay the check... I guess he needed us out of there, lol. When he showed us the bill, I told him, well, do you guys even have dessert, he said oh well we have a tiramisu, lol I actually love tiramisu but no thanks, we decided just to find else where to get dessert (ended up driving to another spot 17 min away). Looking at the bill, we told him the broccolini is on there... you never brought it out. He said, "oh, let me take it off." Not an apology or anything. He must have really wanted us out of there so fast lol. Also, I mentioned we were upstairs, they were moving around tables and chairs getting ready for another reservation, which seemed very chaotic. But our waiter was moving one of the chairs and bumped into my left arm and just looked me lol it was obvious he bumped into me lol but he didn't even say sorry. I just laughed it off. Lowest abv but honestly if you drink those throughout the night I'm sure it'll catch up to you because they're so easy to drink. We got their hamachi ceviche which was delicious with the puffed chips. The chicken karaage with caviar was really well marinated and flavored, but I wished it was more crispy. The tiger steak skewers were kinda same thing, good flavor but maybe could've been cooked better. The nasi goreng was really good. Super bold flavors and the egg on top was perfect. We really liked this spot for small bites and good drinks. It looked like it was picking up/filling out later at night. The first time we tried to come, they didn't have space for walk ins so we made a reservation this time. That's fun for a Friday night if you want to go out to a bar/lounge type of space.
