Rainbow, Jalapeno, Crispy Rice Spicy Tuna
    Don B.

Station Sushi in Solana Beach is a great place for casual sushi. They have a wide assortment of sushi, rolls, entrees, bowls and noodle soups. On this visit we ordered the following selections: Crispy Rice Spicy Tuna - 4 pieces. Great portion. At least 3-4 bites to finish one. Generous amount of spicy tuna piled on a rectangle bed of crispy rice. Very good and I would order this again. Yellowtail Jalapeno Roll - Spicy tuna, cucumber, avocado outer with Yellowtail, jalapeno, soy mustard. So good with the Jalapeno on top for a bit spice. Yellowtail was fresh and so flavorful. Rainbow Roll - California roll inside with outer tuna, salmon and avocado. Such a delightful and tasty roll. Sashimi - 3 pcs each of tuna, salmon and yellowtail. All three sashimi were fresh and delicious. Very satisfied with all the selections on this visit and would order everything again. Service was great from being seated promptly to getting our food. Parking is available either street or their lot in the back. I would definitely come back for casual sushi as their quality and prices are great.

Big Portions. Fast Service. Friendly Staff. Clean Environment. I really can't complain. My food was terrific. My husband didn't complain about his food either. The sushi chef was super friggin' nice and accommodating. My only "complaint" is that the salmon skin was so minced up... And I'm the type to like it in strips. But every sushi restaurant is different so I can't REALLY fault them for that. I'd totally eat here again.

My friend and I stopped by here after wine at Carruth. We we're creating some sushi and run luck to find the spot! There's plenty of seating in the service was superintendent. We ordered a few rules to share and garlic edamame?. My favorite role is definitely Ford Roll, which our service also recommended. They do have seating at their sushi bar but plenty of seating on there heated covered patio. If you're looking for some casual Sushi this is a great place to stop by.

Went for happy hour so rated for happy hour prices, really average sushi overall. The tuna nachos, salmon nigiri, and fantasy roll were the favorites! Garlic edamame also very good! They did forget to bring our nigiri so had to remind them.

It's a Solana Beach staple, worth trying if you're in the neighborhood. Located on Highway 101, Station Sushi serves a range of traditional Japanese entrees, nigiri, sashimi and house speciality sushi rolls. While there's plenty of good sushi in the area, this has always been my go-to when I'm visiting. It can get a bit crowded during peak dine times, but I've never minded. It adds to the smaller, local vibe. Just go with the expectation that there may be a bit of a wait. One of my favorite menu item's is the Sushi Burrito, which includes an assortment of sashimi, lettuce and veggies, wrapped in soy paper. It's about the size of a standard sushi roll, so my wife and I usually split one while we're looking over the menu. PRO TIP: It's a good choice if you're looking to have a drink with your meal or hangout for a post-beach Happy Hour. Beyond beer, wine and sake, they also have a limited cocktail menu.

Did a quick stop before a meeting for a roll. The sushi bar is inside and most of the table seating is outside. Lots of variety of house sushi rolls. A lot to choose from. Have to come back to try more. They accommodated our time constraint and made a delicious salmon roll . Fresh and delicious. Staff friendly and service good. They have happy hour 3-530pm.

Plenty of parking, and the place was fairly empty so we got seated pretty quickly. It's very clean and a great spot for a casual night out. We tried the Magic Mike roll and it was excellent, albeit pretty spicy, so beware if that's not your thing. It had no rice, so good if you are staying away from carbs. The sushi tasted fresh and had a really good flavor, and they piled it pretty high. We also decided to try something a bit different so decided on the OMG because it had steak on it. I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but it was definitely a change up from your regular sushi roll. I did enjoy it, and the steak was tender, however i think its not something I'd order often. This was the first time i tried Plum wine, and I have to say I'm sold on it. It was very refreshing and had a nice sweet flavor which i really enjoyed. The service here was good, and ot seems to be a spot that has some regular attendees that are loyal to the place and freaky enjoy the food. I definitely will come back to try more of their specialty rolls when I'm in the area, and I wish it was closer to me so i could come more often. Id recommended trying it for sure.

I've had a lot of ramen over the years and was really looking forward to this one. The good first, the ramen arrived hot, which is always a win for delivery, and the broth itself was excellent. Rich, flavorful, and exactly what you want when you're in the mood for comfort food. That part absolutely delivered. We ordered the Hakata Tonkotsu, and while the flavor was there, a few things fell a bit short. The noodles, for me, didn't feel like that elevated, restaurant-quality ramen you expect. They leaned more toward a packaged noodle texture rather than that fresh, springy bite you typically get at a higher-end ramen spot. The pork belly was also a bit surprising. Instead of those thick, melt-in-your-mouth slices you usually see, it came as two very thin pieces that honestly resembled bacon more than traditional chashu. Not bad, just not what you expect at this price point. We did ask for spice in one order, and instead of it being incorporated, it came on the side as a chili powder. That said, it actually turned out to be a nice touch since everyone could customize their heat level. Toppings overall felt a little sparse. Not a ton of sprouts or extras, and for the price, you usually expect a bit more going on in the bowl. Now, the standout surprise, the gyoza. We ordered four orders (seven per order), and they disappeared fast. Crispy, flavorful, and honestly the favorite of the night. Definitely worth adding to your order. Overall, I'd give it: ***** for flavor (the broth really carries it) *** for ingredient quality and portion/value It's still a solid option, especially if you're ordering in and want something warm and satisfying. Just not quite at the level of some of the more standout ramen spots. And don't skip the gyoza.

Shortly after I arrived, the food was delivered. She was happy with her chirashi bowl ($36), but I was extremely disappointed with my salmon "belly" sashimi. It was not salmon belly, and they charged me $24 for 4 skimpy pieces that were not fresh. It smelled and tasted fishy. The pieces were the same cut as what she got in her chirashi bowl, only her pieces were noticeably larger! I don't mind paying $6 a piece, if it were fresh and the cut slightly larger. After the disappointing pieces of salmon, I ended up just ordering agadashi tofu. In hindsight, I should've just had my daughter order that for me and skip the so-called salmon belly sashimi. This restaurant is very close to my office, and it's a convenient location to meet with my daughter after we both get off work, but given the low quality and high price of the sashimi, I'll have to find another place for us to meet after work when we want sushi. For me, this was an extremely disappointing experience, but since my daughter enjoyed her chirashi, I would give it an average score of 3 stars. It's definitely no longer a 5-star establishment. I think other people may have also caught on, because the restaurant was empty. At 7pm on a Tuesday, there were only 2 other tables, a party of 2 and party of 4 on either side of us. No one new came in while we were there ....and for good reason!

I stumbled across Brigantine when another area fave was closed and after the drive down I didn't want to turn back. Boy am I glad we didn't. This day my family and I sat on the upper dining patio overlooking the beautiful blue skies and feeling the slight breeze with the racetrack within view. The seats were comfortable, the server served with knowledgeable and had a heart for the place. Food was so rich & flavorful. I enjoyed the crab topped halibut this day, my spouse enjoyed the swordfish and our family had the macadamia crusted fish and sand dabs. Our dairy sensitivity was accomodated, even the bar tender was very thoughtful about our drink as one was just a tad to bitter for our palate she kindly remade it while maintaining the integrity of the mix. We started with the calamari strips and coconut crusted shrimp, we could've eaten a plate each the dishes were robust and fairly well balanced in flavor. The only bit of advice I'd offer for a better appetizer experience is offering the horseradish based cocktail sauce over the sweeter undertones of the one currently served with the calamari strips. I would eat here weekly if I were able to. Perfect for special occasions or just stopping off for bar service expecting an exceptional spirit. Bravo Brigantine!

I actually had a reservation somewhere else for dinner, but I ended up just exploring because I'm not in Del Mar often and wanted to check everything out. One thing I loved is that they have happy hour every single day, Monday through Sunday. You rarely see that, especially on weekends, so that definitely stood out to me.
