Not bad of a spot! Made a last minute decision to eat out after watching a show and this place was open. There was a line, so I thought it must be good and gave it a try. Food - Pretty good! Their options are pretty basic and they have the standards. It's like going to almost any other good Western-sushi spot (with all the toppings and whatnot). Their rolls are huge too! Just 1 or 2 hit the spot and got me really full. Service - Very nice and attentive. The guy was willing to help with any questions and helped seat us at the patio. No complaints! Ambiance - quaint spot with outdoor seating, which was helpful. Pretty sure they're dog-friendly because they just have a covered patio. They seemed pretty busy for late Friday night, which was a good sign. And they're right next to Pizza Port. Crowd was good, a lot of couples on dates, but very chill ambiance. Would go again if I was craving sushi and happened to be in the area again. I know there's a lot of sushi options so it doesn't stand out TOO much.

Location- it's a cute tucked spot with parish right in front in a nice shopping area. Food- the food was flavored and I love how the menu had pictures to it lol I have always loved a menu with pictures. The rolls I ordered were so big. I ordered 4 but with just one was enough. Now I can take it to go Service- the waitress was very kind and sweet with helping us find items on the menu. Support small businesses!! I will definitely come back here when I'm back in town. Seems like the locals love the people here. Overall this was a nice experience and I definitely will come back to this cute location.

    California Roll

Went here last Friday. Was a little unclear when we were getting seated but we sat down pretty quickly. The guy behind the counter ended up taking our order and our server came to us only after about 15-20 minutes. We got 2 California rolls and they were delicious and not very expensive. Our servers were very nice and helpful, but had issues with organization. It's a great ambiance in the restaurant and a fun time.

Station Sushi in Solana Beach is a great place for casual sushi. They have a wide assortment of sushi, rolls, entrees, bowls and noodle soups. On this visit we ordered the following selections: Crispy Rice Spicy Tuna - 4 pieces. Great portion. At least 3-4 bites to finish one. Generous amount of spicy tuna piled on a rectangle bed of crispy rice. Very good and I would order this again. Yellowtail Jalapeno Roll - Spicy tuna, cucumber, avocado outer with Yellowtail, jalapeno, soy mustard. So good with the Jalapeno on top for a bit spice. Yellowtail was fresh and so flavorful. Rainbow Roll - California roll inside with outer tuna, salmon and avocado. Such a delightful and tasty roll. Sashimi - 3 pcs each of tuna, salmon and yellowtail. All three sashimi were fresh and delicious. Very satisfied with all the selections on this visit and would order everything again. Service was great from being seated promptly to getting our food. Parking is available either street or their lot in the back. I would definitely come back for casual sushi as their quality and prices are great.

Big Portions. Fast Service. Friendly Staff. Clean Environment. I really can't complain. My food was terrific. My husband didn't complain about his food either. The sushi chef was super friggin' nice and accommodating. My only "complaint" is that the salmon skin was so minced up... And I'm the type to like it in strips. But every sushi restaurant is different so I can't REALLY fault them for that. I'd totally eat here again.

My friend and I stopped by here after wine at Carruth. We we're creating some sushi and run luck to find the spot! There's plenty of seating in the service was superintendent. We ordered a few rules to share and garlic edamame?. My favorite role is definitely Ford Roll, which our service also recommended. They do have seating at their sushi bar but plenty of seating on there heated covered patio. If you're looking for some casual Sushi this is a great place to stop by.

Spicy scallop hand roll, tuna nachos

Went for happy hour so rated for happy hour prices, really average sushi overall. The tuna nachos, salmon nigiri, and fantasy roll were the favorites! Garlic edamame also very good! They did forget to bring our nigiri so had to remind them.

I saw I had already bookmarked it for their highly rated fish and chips, and it was only half a mile away so we decided to walk. It was a beautiful walk along the beach, surfers everywhere reminded me of my college days at UCSD and how big the surfing culture is here. After we passed the train tracks we took a left and had a quarter mile walk straight up the hill! It was definitely a tough little hike for us out of shapers, but it was just enough to get some exercise and work up our appetites and thirst. We put our name down for window seats and stood at the bar while watching the NBA finals. We ordered a couple aperol spritz and were throughly enjoying the vibe and view. Everyone here was super friendly, great customer service and was surprised to see how packed it was late afternoon on a Tuesday. Our server later told us it's like that every night. We had to wait about 15-20 mins for our table but we were fine, then got seated right by the window. The view was amazing, drinks were strong, and some excellent fish and chips and appetizers. The bar even gave a little speech, where the bartender read a poem, apparently a nightly tradition. Cool touch. Great place for families, groups or couples. Recommend!

Dear Senior Management Team,…read more My family I visited Monarch Ocean Pub on mother day, expecting to have a pleasant experience. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed by the behavior of one of your managers, Hope. My mother was on the phone with my sister through FaceTime, simply talking and enjoying herself. Hope approached my mother in a very aggressive and unprofessional manner, standing extremely close to her and angrily telling her to hang up the phone and stop recording, even though my mother was not recording anyone. I tried to explain that my mother does not speak English very well, but instead of handling the situation professionally, Hope accused me of being rude, told us to leave, and threatened to call the police. Her behavior made both my mother and me feel very upset, uncomfortable, and unwelcome. She also stood very close to us and made physical contact by touching me, which made me feel extremely uncomfortable. No customer should be treated this way. We came to your business hoping to enjoy ourselves and receive good service, but instead we experienced rude, aggressive, and unacceptable treatment from a manager. I hope senior management will address this situation seriously so that no other customers have to go through the same experience. Because of this incident, we do not feel comfortable returning to that location.

We got seated quickly in their beautiful outdoor patio area with our 2 pups! The food was absolutely delicious! The wonton tostada, DEFINTELY my favorite!! I wish we got more orders! I was apprehensive about the tangerine in it at first, but it brought such a delicious sweet flavor to the tostada, literally devoured it so fast lol 20/10! The bone marrow quesadillas were good. The bone marrow was juicy, melt in your mouth flavor! I like to add a squeeze of lime on the marrow as well, tastes so good that way. The quesadilla itself was okay, tbh I could've done without it as it wasn't anything amazing. The bulgogi burger is on their monthly special menu! It's listed as sliders but when we came, our server informed us they only have it as a regular burger for the time being which wasn't an issue for us! It was delicious & filled with so much flavor! I loved the crunch from all the veggies inside as well. The fries it came with had some sort of sugar salt which wasn't my favorite, but still good. Overall we had an amazing first experience and will definitely be back & bring our family/friends!
