Gave this place a try on the recommendation of several girls from my hair salon who absolutely raved about it! They were not wrong! Location: It's a quaint place that was a little difficult to find. If you're trying to find it from Acacia Ave, it's behind the parking lot that's designated for Station Sushi and the Med Spa. From the lot, all you'll see is the back of the restaurant building. There's no signage that indicates that it's a restaurant, as far as I could see. But have faith and walk up to the front! Service: I walked in on a fairly busy Thursday evening and was still seated right away. My food (two house rolls) came out within 15 mins. Staff were attentive and friendly. No complaints here! They also have a drive thru window which I thought was super convenient and unique for a sushi place. Food: Delish! I got the Manhattan Roll and the Sashimi Roll. Both were yummy, though I preferred the sashimi roll since it's not always easy to find riceless rolls. Fish was fresh and the ponzu sauce for the sashimi roll was a great pairing. Not bad of a spot! Made a last minute decision to eat out after watching a show and this place was open. There was a line, so I thought it must be good and gave it a try. Food - Pretty good! Their options are pretty basic and they have the standards. It's like going to almost any other good Western-sushi spot (with all the toppings and whatnot). Their rolls are huge too! Just 1 or 2 hit the spot and got me really full. Service - Very nice and attentive. The guy was willing to help with any questions and helped seat us at the patio. No complaints! Ambiance - quaint spot with outdoor seating, which was helpful. Pretty sure they're dog-friendly because they just have a covered patio. They seemed pretty busy for late Friday night, which was a good sign. And they're right next to Pizza Port. Crowd was good, a lot of couples on dates, but very chill ambiance. Location- it's a cute tucked spot with parish right in front in a nice shopping area. Food- the food was flavored and I love how the menu had pictures to it lol I have always loved a menu with pictures. The rolls I ordered were so big. I ordered 4 but with just one was enough. On this visit we ordered the following selections: Crispy Rice Spicy Tuna - 4 pieces. Great portion. At least 3-4 bites to finish one. Generous amount of spicy tuna piled on a rectangle bed of crispy rice. Very good and I would order this again. Yellowtail Jalapeno Roll - Spicy tuna, cucumber, avocado outer with Yellowtail, jalapeno, soy mustard. So good with the Jalapeno on top for a bit spice. Yellowtail was fresh and so flavorful. Rainbow Roll - California roll inside with outer tuna, salmon and avocado. Such a delightful and tasty roll. Sashimi - 3 pcs each of tuna, salmon and yellowtail. All three sashimi were fresh and delicious. Very satisfied with all the selections on this visit and would order everything again. Service was great from being seated promptly to getting our food. My friend and I stopped by here after wine at Carruth. We we're creating some sushi and run luck to find the spot! There's plenty of seating in the service was superintendent. We ordered a few rules to share and garlic edamame?. My favorite role is definitely Ford Roll, which our service also recommended. Being first in the restaurant has the benefit of very fast service. Our drinks were served and we placed our lunch order. We ordered 3 Bento Boxes, two Tiger Rolls, a Ford Roll, a Slippery When Wet Roll, and Tuna Rolls. All of the sushi rolls were given high marks. The bento boxes were nicely prepared. The service over the past year has become slower and slower. No idea what needs to be fixed, but over the past several visits dinner can take almost 2 hours (not including waiting for a table). Gave it another chance tonight and left after hearing the table next to us talking about not seeing a waitress for 25 mins trying to get another beer. It adds to the smaller, local vibe. Just go with the expectation that there may be a bit of a wait. One of my favorite menu item's is the Sushi Burrito, which includes an assortment of sashimi, lettuce and veggies, wrapped in soy paper. It's about the size of a standard sushi roll, so my wife and I usually split one while we're looking over the menu. I come to Solana beach twice a year and station sushi is always on my list of places to eat! I only get takeout so I'm not sure how the service or ambiance are but the food is TOP TIER! My brother ordered the chicken fried rice which was huge and so yummy! Rice was cooked nicely with lots of flavor. We had several rolls, the spicy tuna and California were amongst them, both large sizes. We also got the Ford roll which I couldn't stop eating. Good food and relatively close to the Cedros District, the Belly Up, across from the train station and one block away from Fletcher Cove in Solana Beach. The tempura was delicious and cooked well. We also had to verbally flag down a waiter in order to get our check after we were done eating, even though our plates were stacked at the edge of the table and we were trying to make eye contact with multiple servers. I know we were in Solana Beach, but I would not classify this as a two dollar sign restaurant. The sushi was good. Nothing special for the elevated price, although some of the rolls were fairly unique they did not sound appealing.
