Was able to come in person for happy hour as I wanted to take my friend who was visiting me. Not sure what happened, but the quality wasn't as good as what I normally get delivered at work. We had to send back the Poke Nachos because it didn't taste or smell fresh. We weren't given a refund for this. The North Shore Garlic Shrimp was undercooked and underseasoned. We were very happy with the Classic Fish Taco and the Chimichurri Cauliflower. The Oysters were really good as well, but they had lots of seawater in them so wow! they were much saltier than I'm used to for oysters. The Clam Chowder Fries was okay. Not really my thing honestly. I think it would've been better if the fries were crispy.
I went around 3:30pm right at the start of the happy hour specials as I was already so jet lagged and needed something close by. Yes no doubt the prices during happy hour is very good, some of the best I've seen, with $2 fish tacos (and you get a choice of fried of grilled!) and some other delicious hh specials for some amazing prices. I found the staff to be welcoming, I actually poked my head in first to scope out the spot, and they asked me already if I wanted to check out the hh specials and the menu I said OK. Ended up ordering a bunch of items including a grilled and fried fish tacos, shrimp tempura, cauliflower and a clam chowder soup. Sadly the items really left nothing to be desired. The fish tacos were bland, no flavor in either of the grilled or fried. The shrimp tempura were ok, a lot of batter. The cauliflower were actually good! I would eat this again. And the clam chowder was horrible, just a thick glob with no clams and basically nothing in the soup. Note I did only order all cooked options, as I cannot eat anything raw. However I do hear the raw oysters and raw poke bowls are excellent, sadly I could not enjoy any of it. Therefore the cooked options I did try were really just bland.

Come early because there can be a wait, but they will honor the happy hour pricing if you get seated after 6pm. Beers were great and refreshing with all the fried food. Wasn't too loud when tables around us were fully seated and I felt like I could still have conversation at a normal volume
I love this place!! It still doesn't disappoints after years of not eating it and coming back because was craving their cioppino. Took my PIL here and they loved it too. They got fish and chips and a poke bowl. I got a cioppino and the seafood is plentiful and fresh. Still affordable pricing too. My cioppino is one of the best casual cioppinos but plenty and I mean plenty of seafood in the cioppino. Better than a lot of fancy restaurants! I would come here for lunch every day but unfortunately I don't work in the area anymore.
We came here for lunch around 1pm with another couple and our three kids under four and it was about half full when we arrived. Parking was super easy since it's in a huge plaza. The setup is pretty casual, you order at the counter and then find your own table. We grabbed a nice corner booth with which worked out great for our group and all the kids. We ordered the calamari, parmesan garlic fries, and the cornmeal battered fish. Our friends got the quinoa bowl with cod and the garlic shrimp rice plate. The standout for me was definitely the cornmeal battered fish. It was fresh, juicy, and cooked really well. The fries that came with it were just okay, but the coleslaw was surprisingly one of my favorites I've had. The Parmesan garlic fries were interesting, there was too much garlic and the garlic was way too spicy and overpowering. It was inexpensive, which probably explains why there seemed to be more batter than actual calamari. The texture was also inconsistent, some pieces were so chewy that we could barely bite through them. But I'd honestly come back just for that fish and slaw combo. The calamari was a little disappointing. My biggest and only issue was the wait for our food. Our friends got their meals pretty quickly, but ours never came out. My husband checked twice, and both times we were told it was coming soon. Meanwhile, two tables that came in after us got their food, and one even finished and left before ours arrived. Our friends were deliberately eating slowly so we could all eat together, but they still ended up finishing before our food showed up which sucked since they had to wait for us later. Despite that, I thought the food was good overall. Hopefully the delay was just an off day because the fish was definitely worth ordering and eating again!
The best value in the area for Seafood. I've been coming here for years and their prices remain the most competitive for the size given - and the quality is great and taste impeccable. This is my go to place for Ciopinno!
After hiking the coastline, my husband and I had a big appetite for some fish tacos. We decided to go to Seasurf Fish Co as it had great ratings and was nearby. The place is easy to find and in a large plaza with a Vons, CVS, and various other shops. We went on a Wednesday evening and were able to get a table. I went for the 2 fish taco plate with chips and my husband got the fish burrito. We also got a side of garlic Parmesan fries. I loved my fish tacos and all the salsas that came with it! The tacos were battered and crispy and had a fair amount of fish. I loved the red and green salsas- they were so flavorful without being too spicy. I loved how they gave beans and chips with the meal as well! The whole meal was only $10.99. It was such a good deal! My husband loved his burrito as well- it was huge. The fries were tasty- lots of garlic and Parmesan flavor. We loved this place and will come back for the happy hour! :)
Best Happy Hour! Actually came here during non-happy hour time for lunch. Decent prices still, especially for seafood. Fish and chips always good here. Fish cooked perfectly!! Malt vinegar available. Classic fish burrito is good. Lots of rice and beans, but can still take the fish. Nice, healthier choice. Nothing overly salty. Great salsas to add. Order at door. Service is super fast. Seating is nice and open. Bring a sweater if breezy as it gets chilly in there.
I can't believe it's been almost a year since I visited sea surf They're in my neighborhood and truly have a solid happy hour if you want healthier options. The place is super casual, mostly open air so bring a sweater because it can get chilly. Five or six seats at the bar, which were full on this visit. If you sit at the bar, you can actually order from the server from your seat which I do like. otherwise stand in line ...order and pay and they give you a number... food, comes out very quickly. On this visit, I just had a fish taco. They give you a choice of grilled or fried I chose grilled. My son got poke nachos and a fried fish, taco and guacamole and chips. I shared his guac and chips and took a bite or two of his pokey nachos. The food is very consistent fresh and delicious Happy hour drinks are all beer and wine. They have a very streamlined selection. There are five beers I believe and as far as wine, there's one sauv Blanc one Chardonnay, one rosé, and one red. Nothing fancy very basic but palatable wines.
Still love this place for happy hour. Unfortunately I think the fish tacos have gotten smaller.
This place is so good. It's located in a shopping center so PLENTY of parking. They have a DAILY happy hour from 3-6pm. Came in and ordered oysters, Poki nachos, ceviche mixto, and Poki bowl. The portions are generous and worth every penny! Everything was delicious!! It's a small indoor restaurant, very casual. Service was fast and staff were friendly. Everything looked amazing, I'll be coming back to try more of their food.
Great spot to grab a quick bite if you're craving fresh seafood. I loved the batter on the fish tacos. I'm from out of the area and still think about this place!

SeaSurf is always a hit for me! The Spicy Cajun steamer is my go-to and it never disappoints. The Fisherman's Catch is loaded with Pacific mussels, jumbo shrimp, Manila clams, calamari, bay scallops, Louisiana sausage, corn on the cob, and red potatoes everything is cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. I've also tried the Cajun salmon burrito, calamari, and Baja seafood chowder, and every single thing has been delicious. The seafood is always fresh, the seasoning is on point, and the quality is consistent every time. Definitely one of my favorite spots when I'm craving seafood! read more

Located in between Vons and CVS. Free large parking lot. Ordered the poke bowl to eat in the car while commuting. Poke is already premade and mixed. They only need to scoop everything into a bowl. Order at the counter, pay and they bring the food. The paper bowl they use is horrendous. Within the minutes it took to walk to my car, the oil from the poke dressing seeped through the bowl and got all over my pants. I had to run home to treat my pants overnight to remove the oil stains. They need to use better quality bowls. The salmon chunks are cut way too thick and big. The poke was ok only, didn't taste super fresh and good. Meh experience and they need to contract another company to supply their to go cheapie bowls. read more
LOVE LOVE LOVE!! came here during happy hour with my friends and such good deals. oysters were $1.5, tacos were $2, and poke nachos were like $8! fav we're definitely the raw oysters, sooo fresh and the blue point oysters had this almost sweet flavor hahah idk. it came with this sauce or oil on the side that was my favvv with the oysters. fish tacos were also pretty good, def a steal bc it's $10 when not happy hour haha. the ceviche was another one of my favorites, i liked the acidity with the fish!! wouldn't rlly get the lemon pepper wings again, thought they were okay, but not as good as everything else. def recommend getting the oysters and fish tacos! yummy rating: 9/10 read more
My boyfriend and I went during happy hour (3-6pm daily) after work and ordered multiple dishes. Everything came out super fast and was absolutely delicious. Now I am already planning to come back to try more items on the menu. Since we went in the early evening, the patio seating was perfect and had such a chill vibe. If you are craving oysters and with a small group this is a solid place. I was here with my girlfriend and friend and enjoyed the happy hour after spending time at the Del Mar flower cliff. We tried three different oysters and all three choices were great, even though I don't eat oysters much. The ceviche had great taste, calamari was crispy, clams and chorizo was good, and the poke nachos was alright. Don't expect the best service as you go to the counter to order, but the food and beer are good. read more

Haiku: Seasurf Fish Co Fresh seafood choices Must try for Happy Hour Wallet-friendly price. --- Happy Hour, 3-6p daily. Prices ranging from $3 - $8. My family and I came for evening happy hour specials and were blown away by the fresh seafood selections, all at affordable prices. We just can't get over the huge happy hour portion sizes. We ordered a bunch of items and did family style. Must order happy hour menu items: - $1.50 Fresh Shucked Oysters (3 order minimum) - Ceviche Mixto $8: Perfectly citrus-marinated fresh fish, octopus, and shrimp, served with homemade tortilla chips. It was light and refreshing. I can't wait to come back for more! - Poke Nachos $8: Fully loaded fresh ahi tuna poke mixed with succulent mini scallops and imitation crab, all tossed with pico de gallo and creamy sriracha mayo. All served with homemade tortilla chips. - Chimchurri Cauliflower $4: Roasted cauliflower florets topped with chimchurri sauce. A great way to enjoy veggies--full of flavor! From the regular menu: - Salmon Poke Bowl $13: Thick cubes of sesame-soy marinated salmon were so satisfying over a bed of fresh rice, pickled cucumbers, and seasoned furikake. - Fisherman's Wharf Clam Chowder, $8 large: creamy, flavorful, and generous with the clams. My kid scooped this up, and she usually doesn't like clam chowder. We didn't enjoy the Crispy Calamari. It was unbelievably greasy and the calamari at the bottom were dripping with oil. Service was mid. You order at the counter and are given a number to take to your table. The food will be brought to the table. The restaurant is always busy during this time, and you just gotta flag someone down if you need anything else. This spot is popular during happy hour. The best food and prices for happy hour ! 3pm -6pm. We didn't order alcohol so can't comment. But the food we ordered was amazing and very reasonably priced The food was super delicious, and fresh. We ordered one of each fish taco. Grilled and fried. Yummy The poke nachos were out of this world. Poke , I think imitation crab and a few scallops. Chips were fresh and crunchy. The clams omg! Next time I'm ordering several bowls. It was that good. We arrived at 430. No line and plenty of tables available. By 530 tho the place was full and there was a small line. You order at the counter and they give you a table number and bring your order out. I ordered a Coke which was given to me in a can but I was able to help myself to the fountain area for ice. Not sure if any ice snobs are reading this. But the ice was clean and was small rounded beads of ice water. Reminded me of a sonic or canes ice quality. read more

Fish and chips were very well battered and seasoned 8.5/10. Huge chunks of flakey fish as well, very tender. Similar to fish tacos. Wasn't a huge fan of the tortilla. Poke Chips solid 7/10. Fish was fresh but lacks strong marinade. read more
Stopped by after a hike at Torrey Pines. I was surprised at the location in a strip mall just east of I-5 next to an Albertsons. A very casual, small place with indoor and patio tables. I missed Happy Hour, but we made it for Taco Tuesday at $2 per fish taco. Great prices, very fresh seafood and made to order. You check the menu, order, pay and take a number to your table. The service was quick and the food was delicious. I will definitely be returning for Happy Hour! read more

Took a group to DM range to hit some golf balls. Then hit HH at Seasurf. Been there before and really good. $2 fish tacos, poke, calamari, oysters, and calliflower. All really good. Recommend. My fav on main menu is Ciopino. read more
Came here on a Friday night. It was pretty crowded. Parking lot was packed. Parking- there are a few handicap spaces, but it was Friday night, had to drive around a bit. Service-You order at the counter and hope there's seating, We were fortunate to find a table for 7 people. Food- it came out really fast -Raw oysters on the half shell: very fresh and smooth -Ginger Garlic Shrimp: they called it "North shore," huge portion of shrimp. I'm a garlic lover, wished it had more garlic. -Fish and Chips: battered and fried just right -poke Bowl: average size, had a good portion of poke -Hawaiian Poke Salad: very good portion and very filling with the edamame -Crispy calamari: it is nice and crispy -Fishermen's Clam chowder: it's a little bit too thick and if you're comparing it to Monterey's Fishermen's Grotto, Monterey is better. -Baja Seafood Chowder: it was the least favorite. It was just average in taste and size. Return Factor- Yes, because of all the variety of choices. read more

After trying oysters at another restaurant earlier this week, I came back to SeaSurf and immediately remembered why this is one of my favorite spots. The oysters were incredibly fresh and delicious, exactly what I was hoping for. The service was friendly, the food came out quickly, and the quality has always been consistent whenever I've visited. It's not fancy, but it doesn't need to be. If fresh oysters are what you're after, SeaSurf never disappoints. I'll definitely keep coming back. read more

I never thought a place like Seasurf Fish Co could exist; affordable, fresh seafood in this economy? No way! The space is decently large where you order at the counter and they will bring the food to your table. The cashier was working both the main line of customers plus those that sat at the bar (kudos to her). I think menu-wise they strike a good balance between diverse seafood options and a menu-leaning more on the larger side. There's definitely going to be something for everyone (poke bowls, burritos, tacos, salad, fish plates, etc). The crispy calamari were great with a good batter. I really liked their homemade cocktail sauce that it came with too. For $8, this is a great shareable. The chimichurri cauliflower ($4) was so good too! The chimichurri was so flavorful and together it was a great combination. The garlic parmesan fries ($2) were good as well with a good amount of garlic on top. I got 3 a la carte tacos (mix and match; beer-batter fish taco, cajun fish taco, avocado shrimp). The best one was by far the beer-batter fish taco. The batter was nice and crispy and overall I felt that you really got the best flavor from it vs the other ones. We also got the White Fish Basa plate which comes with rice and vegetables. It's a big order and for only $13?! How is this possible?! The fish was delicious and the overall plate was so worth it. For the two people who were sharing it, they couldn't even finish it. The fish was flavored great and flaky. The only miss was the Baja Seafood Chowder. Personally I wasn't a fan of the flavor profile/seasoning. It felt very one-note and so I'd skip this next time. But as you can tell, there's no place that provides affordable and great seafood like SeaSurf. read more

This place had a line out the door, so we took a chance and we were hungry. The staff is very welcoming and were very helpful with the menu. Good thing we were there during happy hour, the menu was perfect for our cravings. Shrimp tempura, fish tacos, chicken tacos and chips with fresh guacamole. Beers on tap and plenty of other choice beverages. Small restaurant, plenty of seating. Clean and airy. read more
Absolutely delicious from start to finish. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully put together. The fish tacos were perfectly crispy with great toppings, the poke-style nachos were loaded with high-quality fish and sauces, and the seafood boil was generous, well-seasoned, and cooked just right. Loved the variety, bold flavors, and thoughtful presentation. Portions were solid and everything tasted fresh--not greasy or heavy. After a UCSD appointment I was hungry and remembered I'd enjoyed happy hour here in the past. I had been meaning to come back, but I don't live close. The timing was perfect. We indecisively looked at the menu and chose our items. Fish tacos, chicken and black bean nachos and ginger garlic wings. The tacos tasted okay but the layer of breading was so thick and excessive that you couldn't taste the fish and most bites were mostly breading. The chicken nachos had a lot of flavor and were my favorite. The wings were my dining partner's favorite. Everything was good with the exception of the excessive breading on the fish. The prices are great, the portions are good sized and the atmosphere is welcoming and homey. I rounded up from 3.5 to 4 because Yelp doesn't offer 1/2 stars. Are dogs allowed on the outside patio seating?
Yes, dogs are absolutely allowed on our patio.
Are the two locations (Yorba Linda, Del Mar) under the same ownership?
Hello Chris. The two locations are operating under different ownership, hence slightly different menus in each location.
Do they still serve oysters daily? I don't see it on the menu online?
Yes, we offer oysters and are available during happy hour from 3-6pm daily.
Are dogs allowed for indoor or outdoor dining?
Yes dogs are allowed in our patio.
Can we come in for happy hour on the patio?
Yes we have happy hour daily from 3-6pm and happy hour is available in the patio as well.
Can I order happy hour menus as take out orders?
Although we do have a great happy hour, those items available on our happy hour menu are only for dine in.
Who's had the seafood cioppino? Need a recommend!!
It's awesome. Had it twice. Would cost double at a high end joint. Ask them to make it spicy.
When is happy hour?
Our happy hour is Monday through Friday, from 3pm to 6pm. Please come join us for $1 oysters, $2 Classic tacos and $5 draft beer and wine.
