Just updating this review to say they still got it. Dude with longer hair (blonde) has the food presentation down. Worth the price every time. Thanks y'all!

Hands down, Poki Poki is one of my favorite poke spots around. The portions are generous and the ingredients are always fresh and flavorful, making every bowl a satisfying experience. The bowls are beautifully prepared and customizable, which keeps it fun to try new combinations each visit. Seating is limited, but that just adds to the charm of this casual, high-quality spot. If you're craving poke that hits all the right notes, this place is absolutely worth the stop.

Ordered via door dash and it did not disappoint! I got the 3 serving bowl with seared ahi tuna, ahi tuna and spicy tuna. Added imitation crab, corn, pineapple, edamame, mandarin oranges and all the sauces. It was so good! I'm always skeptical on poke places but it was delicious. Would definitely order from here again!

Love the proximity of this location. Staff is always attentive and the bowls are HUGE!! Definitely shareable or enough to satisfy a very hungry person. The regular bowl comes with 3 fish options and the large with 4 fish options. All the toppings you'd like. Avocado and spicy crab are extra as well cucumber noodles. Inside is small with only a few tables to eat. There are a few tables outside as well and a water station. Overall, good amount of food for the price.

okay i have to start off by saying the guy working on 8/30 was soooo sweet! it was my friend and i very first time trying this spot. we absolutely loved getting the bowl with spicy tuna and salmon. i love how you can choose your protein, spicy level, options for a bunch of sides and drizzle of sauce on top. i recommended getting unagi and spicy mayo sauce drizzled on top!! so yummy. def can share one regular bowl between two people

Tuna is wal-mart quality. Pumped with CO2 and masking something really off. The texture is mushy and watery with the only tuna flavor being very off putting. Unfortunate.

Took the day to go to moonlight beach with my mom, sister, and her kiddos. We stopped into Poki Poki and it was amazing! Service was great, but the food was AMAZING. So much food for the price. We will definitely be coming back!

Great, fresh poki with lots of toppings to choose from! It is located in a strip mall near Ross in Encinitas. The co-habby and I had late lunch plans but were starved while running errands prior so we decided to split a poke bowl. We opted for a half rice/half salad option and chose all of our fixings. Prices were on par with other poke locations, perhaps just a tiny bit more but it was no big deal. Nice, clean space, service was quick and friendly and our bowl hit the spot.

Food looks fresh, but options are limited. Can't spell Poke in your name so "Poki" is a Japanese cookie not a Hawaiian entree. No Hamachi or yellow tail. Ahi is not deep ruby red but pink and has tendon so not tender but chewy, no yellow tail quality of fish is not up to my standards, service is fine and $20 for a poke bowl is standard

Delicious food. Good variety and good service. Like most poki place, you order at the counter and pick your protein with rice or spring salad or cucumber salad. You can have half of each too. You get a choice of white or brown rice. Then you pick your proteins. You can mix them up or get one, which I did. I like salmon so I did salmon for my protein choice. Then you can choose all the toppings that range from crabmeat to edamame to seaweed salad and wasabi. You can choose sauces and sesame seed and dried seaweed. By the time I was finished, I had a bowl that could feed 2 people. Generous portions and very tasty. You can CC sit indoors and outdoors. Staff was nice and had good suggestions. I'll be coming back

    Do you take Apple Pay?

    Yessir

Do they have cucumber noodles as a base like Pokewan in Carlsbad?

No, they don't have cucumber noodles for a base. However, they offer sliced cucumbers (as well as onions) to be added into the poke mix. It is possible to get cucumbers as a base if you ask, they're just not "noodles".

Does anyone know if they offer a Gluten Free Soy Sauce Option (Tamari) or does all the Poki have regular soy sauce on it already?

The fish is not pre-sauced, it's fresh, clean, unadulterated Fish. You choose your sauces and veggies and can avoid soy sauce completely if you wish!

I grabbed an Uber after work on a Thursday and headed north 11 miles. As I arrived at the Fish Shop, I could smell the goodness inside and saw the line waiting to order. The restaurant is on one side, with an open bar on the other. Ordering is as simple as 1, 2, 3. Pick your fish, pick how you want to consume it (plate, sandwich, salad), and pick your sides and drink. I went with my work colleagues recommendation of a blackened sea bass sandwich with onion rings and a Marg. That choice was FANTASTIC!!! You seat yourself once you order and place the buzzer given to you by the counter person on the unit on your table. Although busy, there were still tables available (bar and restaurant, plus out front). As the NBA playoffs were on, I sat inside. Everyone working here was friendly and as I already stated... my meal was the best I had on this San Diego visit. A bonus was a gorgeous sunset just 3 blocks down from the shop. I will be back to Encinitas Fish Shop when I next visit San Diego.

I moved to North County and a few years later they opened Encinitas fish shop. I have been for the oysters in the past but it had been a long time. I looked it up to make sure they still had oyster night and sure enough they do. The price is now $1.25 but that still feels like a good deal. They had 4 different types to choose from. There was only about 7 people in front of me when I got in line including a family. There was an older couple ordering and it took about 20 minutes for them to complete their transaction. The rest of the line moved ok after they were done, but I probably waited about 40 minutes just to order. I ordered 3 of each kind, a dozen. Then I went to get water. They were out of ice. I sat in the window seating and waited. It took a bit, but it was a nice day so I didn't mind too much. A girl came out calling names but it was very difficult to hear her. I finally heard my name and she dropped off my oysters. I asked for more cocktail sauce and she left to get it. She brought it back but immediately left and never told me which oysters were which. I had to flag down another employee and he told me which oysters were which. In the past, I haven't liked some of the choices, but this time they had a whole different selection and I liked all of them! They were so good and fresh. I don't know why I waited so long to return. I'll definitely be back for more soon!
