In the back of Windmill Food Hall was Rolled Up. As my first time visiting, I decided to walk though and check out all the food options 1st. As soon as I saw sushi burrito, I was sold. The menu was intriguing with many sushi burrito options, plus rolls, bowls, etc. I decided to try the salmon burrito and it was fantastic. There was 1 person taking orders. Ordering took just a couple minutes. There is a sign stating they are short staffed and to be patient. After seeing that, I expected food to take a good amount of time to be ready. I found my friend and picked a seat on the other side of the food hall where daylight was still brightening up the place. As soon as I sat down, my buzzer vibrated and my meal was ready. It was much faster than expected. I was impressed with the food quality, portion size, price and service. I would definitely eat from this establishment again. After driving by The Windmill Food Hall plenty of times, I finally made the decision to stop by for a visit. Being that my daughter is obsessed with sushi, Rolled Up was naturally the choice for her dinner. Here you will find: rice bowls, sushi burritos, musubis, and an assorted list of sushi rolls. I placed an order for the California Burrito which includes: krab, avocado, unagi sauce, sushi rice, carrots, cucumbers, green onions, lettuce, and sesame seeds. I requested for everything except carrots. The sushi burrito was beautifully made. Everything was wrapped up neatly and the filling was great aside from there being more lettuce than I would have liked. Ingredients are fresh and the portions are good in size. I might have to try the longanisa musubi next time. 4 stars for Rolled Up. With 13 vendors and a full bar inside the iconic windmill, there were plenty of options, but I ended up at Rolled Up Sushi, and I'm so glad we did. We ordered The Works Sushi Burrito, and it truly lives up to its name, packed with salmon, spicy tuna, shrimp tempura, krab, avocado, spicy mayo, and eel sauce all wrapped into one massive, flavor-loaded bite. He ordered the California Burrito and it came tightly rolled, clean, and perfectly cut. He quickly tore into it, enjoying every aspect and ingredient, and finishing off the large portion happily and easily. I know if we came back to this food court, he'd pick something else off the menu without pause. And with all of the high reviews this place has and how good everything looks in pictures, it's not difficult to see why. Oh my goodness what a let down. I ordered 3 spicy poke bowls and 7 sushi rolls to go for almost 80 dollars. When the order came out I couldn't believe how small the bowls were it was unbelievable they would charge 19+ dollars for poke bowls that small. When I got home I was even more disappointed by the actual amount of poke they put in each bowl, I'm serious when I say there was probably less than tablespoon in each one probably only had 5-6 small cubes. The bulgogi burrito was pretty unfortunate. I'm honestly not sure what the intent is with this item. Imagine a sushi hand roll that is the size of a burrito. It's impossible to eat without it falling apart halfway through because the seaweed wrap isn't substantial enough to hold the thing together. I also wasn't expecting it to be cold, as "bulgogi burrito" did not suggest a cold item, nor did the description of the item insinuate what I was about to get. Love that there's now a sushi place in the Windmill Food Hall! I've been here a couple times to support the owner, all I can say is... their sushi and oysters are so FRESH and delicious. They always throw fun events here and usually have their own DJ on the weekends. The service here is always great, don't forget to ask for Chef Austin and Danny because they're so fun and make the best sushi. Chef Austin always comes up with creative sushi rolls, and sometimes they even do special sushi rolls for events!
