Golden Coconut Burmese Khao Soi Fried Rice Street Noodles
    Dee C.

Food is just too good. Love the coconut soup. Food is very filling so all these dishes are shareable! Coconut soup and the chai tea is my all time favorite for sure. The setting in this place is very peaceful too. I could see this restaurant being a cafe as well. I do want to try the sushi next time!

This place serves the best soup I have ever had. Khao Soi. The flavor is so complex and amazing. With so many different textures as well. This is next level stuff right here. The lady who works here is really nice too. Love this place.

We gave this restaurant a shot since I haven't found a good Burmese restaurant in Carlsbad. The ambiance was nice. The chef/server was very nice. The food was ok. For people who haven't tasted Burmese food, this is a pretty good representation of what it should be. I have just had much better food in other places. We were the only people in the restaurant. We were told that they were planning to close soon but at least 3 parties walked in about 15-20 mins after us and they were there for much longer than what the chef had initially said regarding the closing time. The menu is limited but has the basics. There is no alcohol. We ordered the tea leaf salad, street noodles with chicken and Burmese curry with paratha. The tea leaf salad was more like Indian bhel. It was ok. I have had much better salads in other restaurants. It also had fish sauce in it which we were not aware of, and my poor friend ended up having an upset stomach (she is allergic to seafood). That was disappointing because I had specified that we don't want seafood in the street noodles, so I would have liked to be told about the fish sauce. We were asked how spicy the salad should be. We chose 6. It was not spicy. The street noodles were good. The normally come with shrimp and I asked for a replacement. I was told it would come with chicken, so I expected chicken pieces. Instead, we got a grilled chicken leg, which was a little difficult to eat. It didn't really go with the noodles because it wasn't tossed in the same sauce. I should've just ordered the noodles without the meat component. There are two items on the menu - potato curry with paratha and Burmese curry with rice. When asked about the difference, we were told it is the same thing, just a difference in the side. That makes no sense! Then why name it differently? The curry was good - had a homemade feel to it, nice blend of spices and a good portion. The naan was ok..I would have liked it to be thicker and softer. All in all, there are elements of the food which have promise. If you have never tried Burmese food, this is a good option. But the food isn't as good as my previous experiences. Pricing wise, it is Carlsbad pricing. So, I think we paid a little more than I would have liked, for the food.

Visited Carlsbad and stayed at a Hilton nearby and found this restaurant. We went on a weeknight and it was not busy. Service was great. Food was delicious. Place is on the smaller side with comfortable seating. The noodles is a must try, our kids love the sushi hand rolls. Would recommend this place. 10/10

Yum! I would never had known this was a restaurant by the signage. We were at the UPS store and peeked in. It is delicious!

Wow. The owner was so friendly in greeting us and knowing it was our first time even offered us a Thai iced tea on the house. Does that bias my view of the food? Maybe, but I really believe the ICONIC tea leaf salad was named that for a reason. The tea flavor really carried through the whole salad. I definitely recommend it. My partner got the OG ahi tuna poke. He was surprised by the apple but pleasantly so as it mixed well with the sauce and fish. If you're in the area, definitely come check them out!

Okay so normally I don't like places that try to do too many things at once cause how could it all be that good? Well this place does. The kao soi curry noodle dish, the tea leaf salad, and the poke bowl are all fabulous. What a gem. They also have a nice interior design and they are always so kind and efficient. Ps the combo poke had a nice crunch to it and it was green apple chunks. Omg game changer. Would never think to add that in poke but now I want that all the time!

Looking your Burmese food fix in North County? I found this place in Carlsbad! I had to get the tea leaf salad, because it is sooo good! I also got the chicken & potatoes curry, too. This was also good! There aren't that many Burmese places in San Diego, so was happy to see this one closer to home! Need to go back and get try their other dishes.

My husband, son, and I ate here on Sunday for lunch and we loved it! Unique flavors (to us) and the service was great. The owner was so nice and explained all the dishes to us. The tea leaf salad was really good, crunchy, savory, with a hint of sweetness. This place is definitely worth a try if you've never had Burmese food befo

Stopper here to grab lunch, to go, because I had an appointment in the area. It was recommended to try the Burmese Street Noodles since it was a popular item, which I order with shrimp. The flavor was very good, both noodles and shrimp cooked well, and the service was friendly and fast. As good as it was, the shrimp were very small for $25 meal, and there was nothing else included besides scallions, so the value for noodles and small shrimp wasn't there for me.

I came here for dinner and dined in, the atmosphere was relaxed and perfect for getting a bit of work done while enjoying my meal. The food came out super fast and was absolutely delicious! I ordered the 2 paratha chicken curry potato dish, and it hit every note... hearty, comforting, and full of real spice and flavor. I wasn't feeling 100% that day, and this dish honestly left me feeling cared for. The man who took my order was so kind and checked in to make sure everything was great. I'll definitely be back, this spot has officially become one of my new favorites!

I fell in love with the Spicy Garlic Ahi Poke Bowl at Cherry Blossom Burmese Cafe in Carlsbad. This poke bowl transported me to Hawaii because it was very comparable to the bowls there. Their spicy garlic sauce bursted with flavor and the ahi was so fresh. I appreciated how simple the fix-ins were, like in Hawaii, so that all the attention is on the fish and sauce. I loved that there were apple slices because they added a nice crunch and flavor! I'll be back to try some of their Burmese dishes and highly recommend this restaurant!

Their vegetarian menu is extensive! They have so many yummy choices! I ended up getting the mango salad, the chili stir fried noodle with beef (i had the chow mein noodle replaced with flat egg noodle), the Burmese sausages, and the star of the show for me, the palata with curry dip, i chose the curry with chicken. The fluffy roti bread was one of the best bread I've had in the same group as naan. This roti bread was savory and soft and chewy and just altogether quite wonderful. The curry it came with was thick and robust in flavor. This appetizer is an absolute delight. I enjoyed the chili stir fried noodles also as the beef was tender, infused with deep flavor and completed this dish. The Burmese sausage lacked in flavor for me. These sausages were on the sweeter side. Just not my flavor profile. I later went to Spicy Lao Kitchen and ordered lao sausages. Now thats a sausage. It was amazing! The mango salad could be infused with more mango flavor. This salad was too light for me and even tasted bitter. All and all I still thoroughly enjoyed the salad. The service was stellar. I had a wonderful conversation with Marlo and she was a joy to be around. The inside is decent sized and plenty of tables. There is more than 1 server so thats nice. Lol. The hours are weird. 11am-230pm and then 4pm-9pm. I saw people coming in at 215pm! I will definitely be making my way here next time!

The eggplant was definitely the star. It was cooked perfectly to the point that the eggplant melted in your mouth. I asked for a side of chili oil- this is hands down some of the best tasting and spiciest chili I've had in a while! It paired so well with the sweetness of the pumpkin curry. Two entrees were enough for my friend and I to go home full, with leftovers. I'm already thinking about my next visit!

There seems to only be one server so things can take some time but otherwise, the service is good! It's located in a small strip mall with relatively easy parking but some spots can be a bit tight. All the starters were delicious choices and, although the paratha was a little oily, it went super well with the peas and curry. The prawn curry was a flavor explosion with the prawns being perfectly cooked and the gravy rice was packed with veggies and a good amount of gravy. Some people in our party are vegetarian and everything besides the prawn curry were good choices for them. For desserts and drinks, we ordered RC Trio Delight, Smashed Strawberry Drink, and Rangoon Milk Tea. The RC Trio was a little on the sweet side but refreshing and the smashed strawberry was a delicious yogurt drink filled with strawberry. The Rangoon milk tea is delicious and a not too sweet option. 10/10 would recommend. Already thinking about the next time we come back.
