Our delicious order. Big portions too.

We've been wanting to try Cherry Blossom and glad that we finally did. The service was friendly l and fast (via QR code) and the food was delicious. Brings me back to eating Burmese food back in LA. My husband got the OG poke bowl and he said it was fresh and tasty. We also shared the tea leaf salad and Khao Soi which was very flavorful. The restaurant space is small, but very serene. Enjoyed trying them out and will definitely be back!

CHERRY BLOSSOM is a total mom and pop place: auntie's in the kitchen. uncle's working the front of the house. simple, straightforward menu featuring Burmese favorites (and several poke bowls). had lunch with my nineteen-year-old son. he had the CHICKEN and POTATO CURRY and raved about it. I had the GOLDEN COCONUT KHAO SOI with chicken. am more familiar with Thai versions and enjoyed contrasting similar dishes across two different food cultures. would characterize the Burmese dishes as less hardy (more soupy, less stewy) and more subtly flavored. skipped the all-time classic TEA LEAF SALAD so I have a ready excuse to revisit.

In response to the business manager response: -Cherry Blossom confirmed our order at 718pm -we drove all the way over there and waited until 740pm only to find that Cherry Blossom closed EARLY with no notice -had to reach out and call Doordash and got our refund when your store "closes" at 8pm Ultimately you confirmed our order and then decided to close early with no notice. Do better. you've got to be kidding me. we placed a doordash order for pickup, it was confirmed, came to pick up and the lights are all off, no one is inside, snd the door is locked.

The doors may open a little behind schedule due to minimal staffing, but this place is absolutely worth the wait. We enjoyed the Thai tea, Burmese fried rice, golden coconut khao soi, and spicy garlic ahi poke. The flavors were fresh and vibrant, the portion sizes were generous, and the prices are completely reasonable in a time where you can spend an arm and a leg to barely fill up. Highly recommend this place!

Note: this location is the Carlsbad location and NOT in La Jolla (the menu is different between the two). There are a number of reviews and menus we saw online that were for the La Jolla location. We came here on a Friday night. It wasn't too busy and we were able to seat inside. There is no outside seating. We placed our order at the counter and found a seat to sit inside. We placed an order at the counter and the food arrived at our table in a reasonable amount of time. We ordered the tea leaf salad, fried rice, street noodles, and spring rolls. All the dishes were delicious. The tea leaf salad was a smaller portion so keep that in mind if you are eating family style and sharing with others. We will definitely return since everything was delicious. There's a decent amount of parking in the parking lot. They also do takeout as we

We gave this restaurant a shot since I haven't found a good Burmese restaurant in Carlsbad. The ambiance was nice. The chef/server was very nice. The food was ok. For people who haven't tasted Burmese food, this is a pretty good representation of what it should be. I have just had much better food in other places. We were the only people in the restaurant. We were told that they were planning to close soon but at least 3 parties walked in about 15-20 mins after us and they were there for much longer than what the chef had initially said regarding the closing time. The menu is limited but has the basics. There is no alcohol. We ordered the tea leaf salad, street noodles with chicken and Burmese curry with paratha. The tea leaf salad was more like Indian bhel. It was ok. I have had much better salads in other restaurants. It also had fish sauce in it which we were not aware of, and my poor friend ended up having an upset stomach (she is allergic to seafood). That was disappointing because I had specified that we don't want seafood in the street noodles, so I would have liked to be told about the fish sauce. We were asked how spicy the salad should be. We chose 6. It was not spicy. The street noodles were good. The normally come with shrimp and I asked for a replacement. I was told it would come with chicken, so I expected chicken pieces. Instead, we got a grilled chicken leg, which was a little difficult to eat. It didn't really go with the noodles because it wasn't tossed in the same sauce. I should've just ordered the noodles without the meat component. There are two items on the menu - potato curry with paratha and Burmese curry with rice. When asked about the difference, we were told it is the same thing, just a difference in the side. That makes no sense! Then why name it differently? The curry was good - had a homemade feel to it, nice blend of spices and a good portion. The naan was ok..I would have liked it to be thicker and softer. All in all, there are elements of the food which have promise. If you have never tried Burmese food, this is a good option. But the food isn't as good as my previous experiences. Pricing wise, it is Carlsbad pricing. So, I think we paid a little more than I would have liked, for the food.

Visited Carlsbad and stayed at a Hilton nearby and found this restaurant. We went on a weeknight and it was not busy. Service was great. Food was delicious. Place is on the smaller side with comfortable seating. The noodles is a must try, our kids love the sushi hand rolls. Would recommend this place. 10/10

Wow. The owner was so friendly in greeting us and knowing it was our first time even offered us a Thai iced tea on the house. Does that bias my view of the food? Maybe, but I really believe the ICONIC tea leaf salad was named that for a reason. The tea flavor really carried through the whole salad. I definitely recommend it. My partner got the OG ahi tuna poke. He was surprised by the apple but pleasantly so as it mixed well with the sauce and fish. If you're in the area, definitely come check them out!

Looking your Burmese food fix in North County? I found this place in Carlsbad! I had to get the tea leaf salad, because it is sooo good! I also got the chicken & potatoes curry, too. This was also good! There aren't that many Burmese places in San Diego, so was happy to see this one closer to home! Need to go back and get try their other dishes.

My husband, son, and I ate here on Sunday for lunch and we loved it! Unique flavors (to us) and the service was great. The owner was so nice and explained all the dishes to us. The tea leaf salad was really good, crunchy, savory, with a hint of sweetness. This place is definitely worth a try if you've never had Burmese food befo

Stopper here to grab lunch, to go, because I had an appointment in the area. It was recommended to try the Burmese Street Noodles since it was a popular item, which I order with shrimp. The flavor was very good, both noodles and shrimp cooked well, and the service was friendly and fast. As good as it was, the shrimp were very small for $25 meal, and there was nothing else included besides scallions, so the value for noodles and small shrimp wasn't there for me.

This place serves the best soup I have ever had. Khao Soi. The flavor is so complex and amazing. With so many different textures as well. This is next level stuff right here. The lady who works here is really nice too. Love this place.

There seems to only be one server so things can take some time but otherwise, the service is good! It's located in a small strip mall with relatively easy parking but some spots can be a bit tight. The interior is simple but definitely "mom and pop" vibes. We ordered Fried Ogo Squash, Paratha with Peas, and Tea Leaf Salad for starters and Prawn Curry and Gravy Rice as mains dishes. All the starters were delicious choices and, although the paratha was a little oily, it went super well with the peas and curry. The prawn curry was a flavor explosion with the prawns being perfectly cooked and the gravy rice was packed with veggies and a good amount of gravy. Some people in our party are vegetarian and everything besides the prawn curry were good choices for them. For desserts and drinks, we ordered RC Trio Delight, Smashed Strawberry Drink, and Rangoon Milk Tea. The RC Trio was a little on the sweet side but refreshing and the smashed strawberry was a delicious yogurt drink filled with strawberry. The Rangoon milk tea is delicious and a not too sweet option. 10/10 would recommend. Already thinking about the next time we come back.

We had to get our own water, and the only service provided was that the staff brought the food to our table. What made the experience even more uncomfortable was the checkout process. I handed my credit card to the server, and when he returned, he simply gave me the receipt without asking for my signature or explaining any additional charges. It was only after reviewing the receipt that I discovered a 15% gratuity had already been added automatically. For a dining experience that involved little more than food delivery to the table, I do not believe an automatic 15% gratuity is justified. More importantly, it was not clearly disclosed beforehand. Charging a mandatory 15% gratuity for a party of only three people feels more like a hidden fee than a fair charge based on the actual level of service provided.

Founded by chef/owner Khwanta Osanai who learned how to cook at age seven, she previously owned a Thai eatery in Chula Vista. With a purposefully-crafted menu made up of authentic dishes and street food from her native Northern Thailand, everything is made from scratch and fresh ingredients. Rather than a numbered scale for spiciness as many Thai eateries, each dish is spiced as it would be traditionally. I loved Thai food, so would this place on Soi 30th hit the spot and bring me back for more!? PURCHASE(S) Thai Iced Tea 16floz Cup ($5.95): Sadly, no boba, but this was a refreshing drink (not too sweet) while I waited for my food to be ready. Crispy Tofu ($9.95): Although these always reminded me of that facial sponge women use to apply makeup on their face and around the eyes, these crispy fat spongy triangle pieces were tasty and were made even better with the crushed nuts and spicy sweet dipping sauce. Hot Spicy Basil Extra Spicy + Fish ($14.95 + $4.00): Sauteed with holy basil, Thai chilis, onions, green peppers, garlic, and purportedly served over rice and a fried egg (these items didn't come with it), this was a decent portion size with an insane spice level ( wasn't right for a couple of days, if you knew what I meant!), big tender fish pieces, and the various fresh crispy vegetables. My mouth was on fire, but I took this dish head on! Pad See Ew Extra Spicy + Shrimp ($14.95 + $3.00): Wide rice noodles stir-fried with an egg, dark soy sauce, and Chinese broccoli with my choice shrimp, the portion size was packed, crazy spicy, and a ton of small/medium-sized shrimp, this lasted me for three days! Steamed Rice (INCLUDED): Fluffy and steamy, this helped cool the heat from the main entrees. Mango Sticky Rice ($9.95): One of my favorite desserts (mango - hello!), the mango pieces were fresh and juicy, the rice hot and sweet, but I missed the sweet coconut milk drizzling this dish came with at other Thai restaurants I've been to. SERVICE I was greeted by a friendly young woman behind the order counter who offered me a menu when I asked for a takeout order. After a few minutes, I easily placed my order, hung out while I drank my Thai iced tea drink, and within fifteen minutes, everything was securely packed and ready for the quick walk back to my place. As I waited, I had a casually fun conversation with a gentleman who was associated with the woman on some level - khàawp khun kha! PARKING (Varied: FREE this instance): I simply walked across the street from Modern Times Flavordome, or merely five minutes from my place. Otherwise, there appeared to be some spots along the main drag of Upas St. and all surrounding roads (I didn't notice any lots) - 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A clean simple layout with an order counter once you entered with a look into the kitchen, and several tables along the front windows and wall that stretched towards the back of the place. I didn't venture further than the front, so I couldn't say anything else about what I might've missed. I liked the various artwork that hung on the walls., but surprisingly little to no actual Thai merchandise or relics. Plenty of natural lighting entered through the front wall windows and doors while a mix of recessed and various hung electric ceiling lights covered the rest. I believed there was at least one TV behind the order counter while classic rock & roll music played in the background. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL I really enjoyed my first Thai food experience in the North Park neighborhood at Soi 30th. Yes, the spices tore me up, but the food was still very tasty, the prices were comparable, the portion sizes were generally very good, the atmosphere was more clean and modern than I would've liked, and the service was straightforward and efficient. I felt the only drawback was the limited menu (I was so used to pages of options at other places). And, I always loved to support local small mom & pop businesses. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $61.00 BEFORE any discounts, points usage, and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 4.0 STARS

Jasmine sounded unique since it's a Muslim Myanmar restaurant and there were dishes I've never seen before, and also others with Indian and Chinese influences. But in the end everyone was disappointed with the food and even left food behind instead of taking it to our hotel. We actually went for ice cream afterwards to congratulate ourselves on getting through it. Jasmine has a lovely shaded patio. You place your order at the counter with a guy who's really nice. There are only two menus and the images are faded and extremely hard to read. The best dishes (but still not great) Potato samosas - nothing special Keema paratha - This bread, filled with ground chicken, was fine but not my kind of thing. Plain naan - unusual in that it was flakier than usual. Pan Thay Kwak Swe - thick wheat noodles with chicken drumsticks. This wasn't really anything special. Avoid Tea Leaf Salad. I've had lots of tea leaf salads but never any that I didn't want to eat any more of. The flavor was too pickled. It was also spicier than usual. (I don't mind spice but didn't love the flavor.) Pae Late (J's Special). This dish consists of thin lentil fried dough in broth with chicken. Unfortunately the dough was totally soggy which ruined this dish. I didn't like the flavor of the broth either. No one wanted more of this dish, nor did anyone want to take it home.
