Ordered a drunken noodle with beef. Delicious when eaten hot off the wok. Good amount of veggies and beef slices. Enjoyed this.

    Pork belly pad see-ew

We love coming to Windmill Food Hall since it offers so many varieties of different cuisines. I was craving Thai and I got the pad seewe with pork belly. The pork belly was crispy and flavorful and the noodles were yummy. I wish it was a bit spicier since I did ask for spicy but it still feels like it wasn't spicy enough. There is ample seating in the food hall. It is a good place to eat at if you want different food options.

Stopped by the food hall so we could try different foods. Ordered a chicken pad thai and shrimp tom yum. Portions were fine for the pad thai but soup was a med bowl size. Both were just okay. Def had better. Service was friendly and this place was pretty busy so it took longer for my food than expected.

Love this!!! Basil eggplant (added chicken and tofu)

I LOVE THIS SPOT!! Been twice so far. I have gotten their basil eggplant (added chicken and tofu) and it's so delicious!!! Not too sweet, perfect amount of equal ingredients, price is good (think it is $16 something) and with the yummy jasmine rice, two meals easily! They were fast, parking is easy, comfortable place to wait (wasn't long). My go-to Thai take out meal.

Leaking bowl, no napkins, no utensils, terrible customer experience.

Great Soup, Terrible Experience -- TWICE! First the good. The spicy chicken soup is genuinely excellent. Rich, flavorful, and just the right amount of heat--it was exactly what I needed while battling a brutal cold from the confines of my hotel room. Now, the bad, impressively bad. Night one, the soup arrived in a warped cardboard bowl that had already begun leaking through the delivery bag. No napkins. No utensils. Just hot liquid pouring onto my hands as I tried to remove it from the bag, sick and feverish, with nothing to clean up and no way to eat this cardboard bowl of soup. With a terrible fever I was forced to leave my room and wander the hotel lobby like a soup stained zombie in search of cutlery. Night two, I gave them another chance, explicitly requesting napkins and utensils in my order. Not only did they ignore that, but the bowl was in worse shape than the night before--practically disintegrating. Soup leaked again, burning my hands, and I had to embark on another utensil hunt. This time, it took longer, and by the time I returned, the soup was lukewarm and the bowl was collapsing. Sadly lukewarm soup didn't hit well as it did the first night making for a terrible customer experience. To be clear, the food is fantastic. But the delivery execution is so careless it borders on absurd. A soup this good deserves better than a soggy cardboard bowl and a scavenger hunt for utensils. Until they rethink how they package and deliver their food, I'll be looking elsewhere--preferably somewhere that doesn't require a hazmat suit to enjoy a meal. If the restaurant reads this. I strongly encourage you change the way you deliver your soup. Your food deserves better treatment. Your customers deserve a better experience. Thank you.

Pad See-Ew and Pad Thai Noodles

This Thai spot is located inside the windmill food hall, we came after a long day at Legoland. I'm very particular with my noodles but we thought we'd give it a go. Just by reading recent reviews, even from 9 months ago, I have a feeling that same cashier with the sour attitude still works there. We were greeted by a woman at the cashier with such poor customer service. She didn't take our order correctly when I told her she made my pad see ew noodles spicy when I asked her not to since it was for my kids she just looked at me like I was the fool. They did give me a new order but it just took forever to come out. You either hate your job or hate people, whichever it is, Thai style it's time for a change because it doesn't matter how good your food is, if you feel disrespected when you order your food you'll loose customers. Now on to the noodles, I appreciated the generous portions and overflow of veggies, not too oily and a good combo of salty/sweet. There is plenty of seating as it's in a huge food hall, and the bathrooms are clean too. Parking wasn't a problem, but we came in right before peak time dinner, so you can imagine how busy it can get on weekends.

First off, the food is delicious, I didn't even know I liked Thai until this place. Secondly Sandy is a literal Gem, she works her butt off and always has a smile! She also knows my order because I'm a no bell pepper no basil kind of girl . The windmill itself is great, I am so happy that Thai Style is still here. It is my favorite Thai food and I have yet to have something there that was bad. Thank you always Sandy!!!!

Got a chicken pad thai at around 5:30pm on a Saturday. The restaurant is located on the right from when you enter, across from a bar. There wasn't a line, but it took about 15 minutes to get the food. Wasn't bad but also wasn't great. Portion size was good, but the flavor was a little off.

We stopped here after a visit to The Flower Field which is directly across the street and found this little Thai place with delicious food!! We ordered the chicken pad Thai, chicken fried rice, and shrimp spring rolls. The food was delicious and loved the chicken fried rice with the pineapple pieces in it. Our order came out fairly quick within 10-15 mins. This food hall has a lot of food options, a bar, and a lot of seating space . I would definitely eat here again!!!

I like this place for options for food. This is my second time coming here. Service is generally quick. Food is ready within 15 minutes. Ambiance is fun and causal. But the food is not great at this Thai spot. I got pad Thai this time and last time I got pad see ew. The pad Thai this time was super sweet. Way too sweet! Also, the noodles were chewy. I had to bite them apart. The chicken was decent and the portion was also. Sadly, that's the only good thing I can say about it here. The pad see ew also had chewy noodles last time and I was so perplexed by this. I'll be back to the wind mill but not sure I'll come back to Thai style.

I usually go to Thai Style Kitchen when I come to the Windmill which is the perfect place to take a big group because there are lots of options. I typically get the Pad See Ew, but today the fried rice was calling me. You can decide your spice level 1-10. It was raining outside so decided to be brave and picked a 2. I'm a wimp when it comes to spice and my head just starts sweating. Luckily the rice wasn't too overwhelming and the chicken(which the nice woman at the counter recommended) was perfect with huge chunks. It smelled sooo good and there was some char on the rice which was a big plus. Best part was I went during the lunch rush and didn't take that long to make. Under 10 minutes!

It was our first time here and the food was wonderful. The pad see ew was flavorful and plentiful and came out piping hot. There was a variety of vegetables and I added the chicken which was sliced thinly and very tender. The ingredients are quality and staff was super nice. I love the atmosphere of the food hall. I'll look forward to coming back and trying other items.

My wife and I have been searching North County for years for same, to no avail - so we readily accepted. We arrived a few minutes before 1pm - and our first thought was - what a strange location. About a block off of Carlsbad Village Drive, but nothing else really around to drive foot traffic. Our second thought was - ok, where's the entrance? We did a complete loop before finding it, and headed upstairs to the restaurant. And our third thought was - where IS everyone? Total ghost town - and to be honest, at that point, I was pretty sure that this was yet another poor attempt at an authentic Thai restaurant. And - I was wrong. Our friends arrived shortly, and we sat down and perused the menu - even though we all kinda knew what we wanted, we wanted to see what else was out there - and good thing we did, as my wife changed her mind and went with Pumpkin Curry. I, being a total creature of habit, went with Yellow Chicken Curry with no onion - and an appetizer of Chicken Satay. Our friends ordered also, starting with Drunken noodles, another Yellow Curry (with tofu), and Rad Na (pork version). Let me interrupt this with a quick aside - the waitress was absolutely wonderful during the order process. For each entree, she specifically asked the spice level (1-10), and delivered somewhat accordingly. The food started arriving shortly thereafter - and there was a LOT of food arriving! The only nit I had was that, in my demented brain, appetizers show up before the main course. In this case, everything arrived together. That said, the main courses were incredible (and again, HUGE). While I would submit that while I asked for a spice level of 10, I got more of a 4 or 5, but when Thais see blonde hair blued eyed white guys, they tend to assume (usually correctly) that they have no idea what they're asking for. In my case, they were wrong. No biggie, I'm used to it, and next time, will definitely up the ante on the spice issue. My wife LOVED her Pumpkin Curry, and our friends enjoyed their meals as well. They pretty much finished off the Drunken Noodles, so clearly that was a hit. The only other nit that I ran into was the Chicken Satay. These things were HUGE - so much so that I could cut them in half along the length, and make a huge chicken sandwich. I've never seen it done this way - but my wife and I split one and took the rest home - that's how huge they were. The peanut sauce was amazing, as was the Thai Cucumber Salad (actually one of the better ones I've had - in California OR Thailand - it was that good). Bottom line, a worthy discovery, AND they use Door Dash - so we'll be eating Aroi Thai - Carlsbad quite a bit going forward - actually real Thai in North County....outstanding!!!

This place was located right off the freeway and connected to another Mexican restaurant but they were the only building that was connected with their own lot and kind of rundown like old and dirty which reminded me of Old Town so I'm not sure if that look/feel was intentional since they are the only building there. Inside was still old and rundown but did have a modern feel with the bar seatings and lemon decor. I went in during lunch hours 12pm. There was only 1 host who was also the waiter and server who took care of 3-4 tables at the same time including mine. She did a good job at juggling all tables and came by often enough. Now with the food wait times it seemed like there was only 1 person in the kitchen as well since it took quite awhile for all the foods to come out. It took about 30 minutes after ordering since all 3 tables ordered at the same time. *Beef Boat Noodles - these were just okay. You have the option of choosing veggies/tofu, chicken, or beef. The beef didn't come with all the things I'm used to in boat noodles such as tripe, tendon, different cuts of braised beef, water spinach, or Chinese broccoli. It didn't even seem like blood was added either. It only came with 2 meatballs and beef slices that weren't tender and could have been cut smaller too. They need to add more different cuts of meats and other things to it. It tasted like Pho Lao. *Crying Tiger Salad - was okay as well. The flavoring was there but it wasn't tossed correctly since the toasted rice powder stayed on top of the meat. Also the meat was too overcooked so it was chewy and it also could've been cut smaller. They were thick big chewy pieces. *Thum Lao Style - not bad! I was expecting it to still be more on the bland Thai style but it was actually pretty good and sour the way I like it. It was still light in color meaning they didn't add crab paste for the dark coloring or shrimp paste. They did add pickled crabs though and it was pretty good and spicy. I also like how they "fauk"/chopped the papaya too instead of shredding so good job on that! *Khao Pad Naem - this was my mom's so I didn't try it. She said it was a bit salty but I'm assuming because of the protein she got which was the sour fermented pork which is the naem. It looked good though with the way they fried the egg.
