Great food! So flavorful and my favorite is the chicken basil . Fast service as well and great customer service. Been there a few times.

We popped in on a Saturday afternoon and were seated right away! Service was so quick and incredibly attentive and kind! The food was delicious and the vibe was relaxed and cozy without needing to feel rushed! Such a lovely place for an afternoon lunch! read more

Actually really good and in a crappy shopping plaza. I was skeptical but the food was very good. Not the best thai I have had but I would easily be influenced to go again. Only issue is they did not have Masaman curry!~ Closest thing is KANG KA REE (YELLOW CURRY) I have Pad Se ew- Very good, maybe a bit on the sweet side but good. I will be back for more for sure. Service was excellent. For Celiacs - I am not sure yet. I will test it out soon. read more

This is greaaat spot for authentic Thai food. It offers a variety of flavors by using herbs, spices and fresh ingredients in a very welcoming environment...it feels like I'm at someone's home when looking at the decor. I looove that ALL dishes are individually prepared. ALL I can say is AWE-SOME service...A-M-A-ZING food!! The owner is truly a gem. Oh. Em. Gee. MUST TRY!!! I'm going to be so honest, I personally am not a fan of Thai food, but one night I was feeling froggy and decided to try BKK... best decision ever! I LOVE duck but I'm very particular about how its cooked. Once I saw that had duck, I had to try it and was absolutely not disappointed. Heaven on a plate! The appetizers were all amazing that we couldn't pick a favorite because it was genuinely so fresh and so good. I could rave forever about how good ALL the food is, not only the food but the beautifully orchestrated decor and top tier service. I dont think I could have asked for a better experience trying Thai. Don't just drive by, but stop by! read more

Good ambiance. Nice and clean and looks new inside. We were met with a very warm welcome. There was no wait and we took the last of a few tables. Feels like a family business and service was very attentive. The satay chicken was really, really good....moist and juicy with two sauces. The picture I took was a half order. The Tom Kah was awesome. Wanted to take a bath in it. The bok choy dinner with tofu was excellent. Seems to be a local favorite with a constant stream through the front door. read more

Unfortunately, this was a disappointing experience. With the current heat wave, we specifically called ahead to make sure the restaurant had working air conditioning. We were told that it did, but when we arrived, the restaurant was warm and fans were being used to keep the space comfortable. That felt misleading, especially since the heat was the reason we called beforehand. The food itself was tasty and we initially enjoyed our meals. Unfortunately, both of us became sick afterward, which obviously overshadowed anything positive about the food. Rule number one of owning a restaurant should be serving food that doesn't make your customers sick. I'm giving two stars because there were some positives. The service was good, and the fruit-and-mint-infused water was incredibly refreshing, especially on such a hot day. Between being misled about the air conditioning and both of us getting sick after eating, however, this isn't an experience I would want to repeat. read more

How is this gem not busy? So we were on our way to Olive Garden and saw BKK Thai Kitchen and decided that that sounded better. Yes, it's located in a strip mall. But sometimes those places are the tastiest of places. When you first walk in, you notice that the lights are dimmed. Plenty of seating and lots of Thai decor. You get the vibe that this is a family restaurant. We were quickly greeted and sat wherever we wanted. We were brought infused water. And placed our order of pad Thai with chicken and an order of pineapple fried rice. Yes, you read that right. Trust me, it's delicious. My husband and I split the dishes and it was more than enough for the two of us with enough for a breakfast the next morning. Looking forward to going back. read more

My husband and I were craving Thai and saw this spot nearby so decided to give it a try. Service was really good. Our server was nice and attentive. She also boxed up our leftovers for us. We shared the following: - Kang Pla Curry - Spicy Eggplant with Vegtables - Hot Basil with Chicken - Sweet Sticky Rice with Mango We got all the hot dishes level 8 out of 10 spicy level. We enjoyed all the dishes and thought they had good spice level. The Mango Sticky rice was delicious and a perfect dessert. read more

Ordered takeout from here. So delicious! Only one woman working- I'd assume the owner and she was so sweet and was helping customers and cooking wow! The papaya salad was so fresh, tom kha was delicious as well. And the mango sticky rice, my favorite dish, done so well! Will definitely be coming back in, the restaurant was so pretty too! read more

My absolute FAVORITE Thai dish is Green Curry w/Mock Duck! I tried their lunch special via GrubHub today. THANK GOODNESS I had a $10 coupon! Their green curry was a huge disappointment. The spice level was spot on. BUT there were only a TOTAL of 3 pieces of meat in my dish. If you love carrots and bamboo shoots, then this is your dish! The curry flavor is a 3 out of 10 for authentic flavor. Moving On.... read more

There was plenty of parking on this Saturday evening. Everyone is right about service being very friendly (it's a family run business) and welcoming! Even their water is flavored uniquely with orange, spices, watermelon, and other things. The music playing reminded me of a massage parlor, it was very relaxing. We ordered their Pad Thai with tofu, BKK fried rice, and Green Curry with Chicken. It all was delicious!! Their dishes are a little pricey (I guess it's becoming the norm) at $17.99 per a dish. But it all was delicious and I would come back again! read more

Clean and a nice atmos. Server was outstanding. The tea and water were infused with fruit and were amazing. Potstickers were good, if a tad bit over done. A bit too crispy. The hot basil chicken was yummy but needed More basil. The Tom Yum Noodles were more Tom Foolery. Not good at all. Watery and bland as can be. We told the manager and they removed it form the bill and at least tonight it was an okay place. Not a great place. And.... $5 for iced tea (cost maybe .25) it just not acceptable. read more

So fresh and delicious. Super attention to taste. Mock Duck most tender and flavor I've had.

We've been eating at BKK for over 6 years now and it's been nothing but amazing and consistent. Great service, impeccable food quality and good prices. Kelly the owner is so kind and works hard to keep all her customers happy--taking phone orders, helping customers and even cooking in the kitchen. I love the ambiance too, always super chill. This is without doubt one of the best Thai food restaurants in North County. If you've never been, you're missing out. read more

I am so boring when it comes to trying new items on the menu when I go to a Thai Restaurant. Red curry Thai with chicken, peppers, onions and a side of rice. I have tried the yellow curry as well as the green curry, but there is something hearty about the red curry/chicken combination that I just love. So of course, I ordered the red curry. My Best Friend and her Hubs ordered the eggplant and the drunken noodles. As I said before, I don't usually try anything else on the menu, but this was the opportunity to try something new without feeling like it would be wasted if I didn't finish it or like it. The drunken noodles were very flavorful and I liked the crunch of the bean sprouts with the soft feel of the noodles. I especially like the fact that there are veggies with this dish, so it's not just a serving of carbs. The eggplant dish was so full of flavor and it had lots of perfectly cooked veggies. There was a glaze on the dish that coated the rice and I have changed my mind when it comes to being open to trying new things on the menu. Carlsbad has a little gem in it's town. Service was great and the food was even better. read more

Great service, nice ambiance, and the food is what you would expect. I wanted to order the Kra Tong Thing, but they were out, so I ordered the curry puff instead. It's not spicy, and it comes with a cucumber chutney, which was mostly made up of simple syrup. The fried spring rolls were fantastic! We were pleasantly surprised to see that they contained thin clear noodles in them, which is not common. The Pad Thai was on the sweet side but edible. I would return if I were in the area and try other menu items. read more

Not happy you put my boiling soup into a paper container. So half the soup seeped through the paper and is in the paper bag what a mess and waste of my money. Two weeks ago we ordered dinner but left without ordering dessert because other customers kids were screaming and running around. You have a child working in your restaurant. My husband is very bothered by that. The child is around 10 years of age. We won't be back. read more

This is definitely a hidden gem. Great authentic Thai food. Come out and support this local business! Super sweet family.

Came here in Mother's Day to beat the crowd and to or surprise we had missed a rush so it was perfect timing. Welcomed with friendly and courteous service we dined and it was just great. Entrees cooked fresh to order and just delicious. I would highly recommend this Thai restaurant. The hubby is an over picky eater and when he says it's good that says a lot lol It's a must if you're ever in Oceanside and looking for yummy cuisine. read more

The food was good as always. The service could have been better than better; only one person was doing everything. Greeting, sitting people, taking orders, cashing out, answering calls ... E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G! One of my favorite discoveries was the taro boba. That's definitely a repeat order. read more

First impressions: The decor was pleasing, the air smelt really nice, and the host seated us quickly. I was there with two friends. Our order was taken almost immediately and the waiter asked for clarification when needed. I ordered the Tom Kha, friend number 1 ordered a noodle dish, and friend number 2 ordered a chicken-based dish. I enjoyed my soup and so did friend number 2, who tried some. Friend number 1 enjoyed the noodles and they smelled spectacular. They're not a fan of sharing food so I didn't try them but friend 2 and I shared our dishes and the chicken dish was really nicely cooked, and was one of the few times I've had properly cooked chicken. I ordered a tea (I don't recall what kind) and it came out perfectly steeped at an acceptable temperature. The experience was really nice and the check came out to a great price considering we got three dishes and a drink. Some of the cons: The food took a while to come out, about 30 minutes. There was a child who was taking orders, and he looked to be only 10 years old. I personally don't know how child labor laws play into that, but it was weird. There was also an odd sound coming from one of the vents. Pretty distracting for friend 1, they have APD. Overall, it's a nice restaurant with room for improvement. Hope that weird vent sound gets fixed, sounds like something is broken. read more

We stopped by en masse to celebrate my birthday (only 70) and had a lovely meal. The appetizers were delicious - I got the sampler to share. Mama, not a Thai officianado, enjoyed her Pad Thai. My Basil Pork was superb. As I looked around the table, smiles were on every face and almost every plate was wiped clean, good to the last grain of rice. DO NOT miss out on the FBI dessert (Fried Banana and Ice Cream) that somehow managed to fit into my girth. A fantastic meal with wonderful service and a good time had by all. Never thought I would enjoy the Seventies again, or so much! read more

Start with the best Tom Ka soup ever! and linen tablecloths and dim lighting and soft background music. then go to the excellent service and best Thai food we have had since one in San Marcos was torn down. can't recommend it enough, even the parking is a piece of cake. and yes, they boxed up what little leftovers we had. I put off coming here for years because: I have my usual haunts on this side of town, I'm not the biggest fan of Thai food, and... the higher price point was a huge deterrent. Fast forward to this week, as I stopped in not on a whim and with high expectations because of a real-life/fellow Yelp buddy's photos and glowing review. Learning that they are open for dine-in made me change my order because I was so happy for a full dining-in experience. I'm mostly writing this so I can remember that Spicy Eggplant with heat level 2 was perfect for me. I also had curry puffs and a Thai iced coffee. Everything was colorful, fresh and of high quality. I would order all of them again. This is probably the best Thai food I've had in the area (I do love Ocean Thai on Mission as well, but I skewered Thai Thai on Oceanside). Pros: - dine-in - super friendly - food presentation and quality Cons: - a bit pricey read more
