Thai Thai is one of those places that always serves delicious food. I love their Pad See Ew. I ordered mine with tofu and love the consistency of it each time. This location is small but very cute! This is my favorite Thai in Oceanside. I try to have different items every time I go and I have yet to be disappointed. Tonight I chose pumpkin curry with chicken with a 2 spice level. The service is always very good. I love the big metal water Cups that keep it cold and don't need refilling as often, especially with the spicy dishes. It had a lot of flavor and it was spicy. I had a cold last week and now all I have is cough so I was craving a little spice. It hit the spot. I also tasted the cashew nut chicken and that sauce is really good too. The pad Thai was a very generous portion and we laughed that it didn't look like he had eaten anything when we asked for a to go box when in reality he ate a good amount. We ordered the usual Thom Kha- Pad See Ew- Appetizer Sampler and Kee Moa. In additional we got Lao Papaya salad and Fried Fish with sweet Chili sauce The soup came out and it was delish and on point. Well balanced. Then appetizers which I think it was alright. Nothing to rave about. Just a plate with fried. Did. It was more for the kiddos. Once the noodles and salad came out we all feasted. The last item was the fish and the presentation and dish was so good. Came with heart shaped rice plate. Over all the food was delish. If there was anything to complain about, it would be the portion size of the noodles. Everything else seemed plentiful but the noodles seemed like one serving. I got it so 3 kids can split it but it wasn't enough. Good thing one kid didn't really eat so the other 2 split it but was still hungry. The furniture table settings and presentation is so great.!!! The area is clean!!! The staff is very welcoming , the waitress kept coming back to check on us to make sure things are going great with our table , drinks and our meal. The soup we got was called Tom Kha "coconut soup" server well with all the right flavors and we got the Orange chicken this dish was made well.! Did not have the texture of a regular OC style . Would love to talk more about this place but for my 1st time visiting this restaurant, this place has shown me that food is everything to them and takes time to make it right! They have gotten our order wrong a couple of times. And, they have become very expensive. Some of the dishes we've ordered are $23+ and are basically a bunch of vegetables with a couple pieces of meat. Seems like a real rip off. We absolutely love this place and I've recently converted two of my north county friends - it's their go to as well now. If you like spicy absolutely go above a 4. The Panang Curry, the Green Curry, and the Tom Kha are by far my favorite. I lean towards the shrimp or tofu add ins, but the chicken is my husbands favorite. The sampler is absolutely worth it but if you order to-go make sure you get extra sauce. They do a really great job at wrapping up take away orders, I've never had a single thing spill or leak. I love that my bigger orders a lot of times come in a box so everything is super secure. We've been here at least 10 times and the food always hits. I love this place so much. I usually get the pad thai which is wonderful and the portions are big enough where I can have a full meal of leftovers for the next day. I ordered a level 5 spicy Pad Thai and it was a bit spicier than other local restaurants. The flavor was good. I do wish they would have added more bean sprouts and shredded carrot like other places and peanuts. The cost was $14 for everything with a generous sized entree and good flavor with attentive service. Soda was $2 which was so appreciated and rightly priced. Recommend.... Stop by to eat before taking my son to his dr's appointment since he was craving Thai Food. When we walked in, we were greeted and provided a place to sit. The place is small and the isle is tight. We ordered our food and we received the food shortly after. The food had a lot of flavor and tasted great. The chicken was not dry that was in my curry. I ordered drunken noodles with extra vegetables and what I got was an overcooked noodles in so much sauce it resembled soup with three small pieces of broccoli!!! Last time I ordered #29 and I was handed a bag with number #49 on the ticket!!! I told the lady who I assume is the lender and she yelled that "you ordered #35!!!" I said then why are you giving me order #49!! A nice man working there had to step in and tell her to step back. He was polite and apologized. Their portions are so small for the price they charge!!
