I definitely recommend this place I went there 3-4 weeks ago for a tom kha soup and a sticky mango rice, at first I thought it was a little expensive or not worth it for the amount, had it to go, but I was wrong,the soup was so tasteful and delicious, the sticky rice was perfect, not to sweet, not overly sticky. Recently gave this place another chance after we stopped going because the meat portions became offensively small (like 3 slices of chicken in a whole order of yellow curry and it's not cheap). I will now never go back. We ordered yellow curry with chicken and a pad see ew. The noodles were over cooked and inedibly salty with zero depth of flavor. The most egregious part was the chicken in the curry. Not only was the portion of meat and now veggies laughably small, but the chicken was horrible. It tasted fishy and fell apart in my mouth and I had to spit it out. None of us liked any of the food. I was really bummed that we spent so much money on this meal that was supposed to be a nice break from cooking for the week. We threw away the majority of the order because of how bad it was. There was some spice that was SO nice and really made the other flavors pop while working together to provide a concert of deliciousness on my tongue. I'm not a big spice person, but as I get older my senses are dulling. Maybe adding some heat to my food makes me feel something because I start to sweat on my skull like I'm taking a final exam I didn't study for. Found this little Thai restaurant in an outdoor mall next to a really cute little boba shop and we decide to try it. Got a combination of fried tofu, spring rolls, green curry, fried chicken wings, pad Thai and everything was amazing. The tofu was extremely crispy. The chicken wings were crispy and flavorful. The pad Thai with perfectly thin noodles had a beautiful al dente bite and a really amazing vinegar that you can put over the top. Service was extremely fast. This place is fancy and yummy! I was a bit skeptical at first because of how ornate it was but then the food came and tasted delicious. We got the drunken noodle and green curry. Large portions to share with two and is filling. The only concern I have is that once you open the first door that leads to the restroom area, it really stinks! It was like that door kept the stink from entering the dining room but then there's another door to the actual restroom and that didn't smell as bad as that first door. Tonight was our second time returning here. We love shopping in the plaza and going to this restaurant afterwards. The restaurant is super tidy and relaxing to sit in. Not only is the food SO delicious, but it's actually reasonably priced. $64 for my husband, myself and my child to eat. Where I work, bills are no less than $100 for 3 people. Now.. I came here to truly write about our server named SONG. He is incredible. He is so nice, kind, and extremely attentive. He goes out of his way to make sure his customers are happy and even interacts with our son. I'm a waitress too and I get how hard it can be. All of his efforts are appreciated! On a Tuesday there was no lunch menu (understand, with the current economic environment), but for full price our two dishes had overcooked vegetables and flat pasta. DRASTICALLY overcooked spicy eggplant that was also MUSH (come on!), and way too oily. I'm just glad I got it with tofu and not chicken, I can't imagine how dry that chicken would have be. For a Saturday afternoon, they were really quiet. We were just looking for a place to eat since we were very famished after shopping at kohls. Hubby suggested thai and I agreed. So we found the closest Thai restaurant and drove there. We did have a catch, we had our dog with us. And I wasn't expecting them to allow him in but they did. The restaurant is massive even though the shop front was deceivingly small. There are leather seats with cushions at each booth. Love the old school charm. Also they play soothing instrumental music. My hubby ordered something on their seasonal menu. Tiger sweet beef - it came with a sauce and white jasmine rice. My husband thought the beef was very tender. I ordered pad woon Sen with crispy duck. It is mung been noodles with cabbage and crispy duck. The spice level I ordered was very spicy- birds eye chilli spicy. Finally, the spice level that matches what I expect for being very spicy. When we hear the mortar and pestle coming from the kitchen, I knew we were in a place with traditional Thai cooking. And I couldn't wait! After eating our mains. I had to order dessert. I ordered mango sticky rice. The presentation is so pretty. Mango was super sweet with sticky rice being so fluffy and delicious. We both live in completely separate homes and did two completely separate orders. We spent over $100 in food combined and we asked for chili sauce on the side, they refused to give us more than ONE tiny container because they said it's only one per order of food and because we came in together we count as one order, even though we had completely separate orders and transactions. They told me if we wanted another one we would have to pay $1 I ordered 3 meals on my order and I'm only given ONE MICROSCOPIC CHILI SAUCE!? Wow. I will not be returning. Terrible management! This place is pretty authentic Thai cuisine and staff. Upon entering you'll be greeted with a warm smile and escorted to an available table. It can be a little dark to read the menu, so you might need the flashlight from your phone. The pad Thai might seem a little different to what you're used to, as the noodles are thin. The sauce can be a little bit on the sweet side though. The curry was also a bit different as well, it wasn't soupy like your traditional curry, it was thick. Interesting, but tasty. I've mainly been coming here for lunch or to-go entrees. It often seems quiet despite its convenient location and first-rate dishes. The inside is clean and has a nice layout, with an inner area separated from other tables by a low wall. Thinking ahead for my daughters' graduation, I made a reservation a few weeks in advance. I was worried that we would show up late and go past their 8:30 PM closing time, but they told us not to worry. Luckily, we got there before 7pm and had a fantastic meal for 15, confirmed a day or two before. I pre-ordered the spring rolls, chicken satay, and beef salad so that they would be ready when we walked in. All we had to do was sit down and order drinks. We could not have picked a better place. The food came out quickly and as usual, was fresh, tasty, and perfectly cooked. We ordered several dishes (tofu pad thai, eggplant, yellow curry, jungle stir fry, hot basil) and passed them around the table until they were gone, and then ordered more as needed (panang curry). Plenty of rice included. It was enough to feed us all without leftovers. And though we were stuffed and happy we had shared servings of mango with sticky rice, banana roll (fried banana), and coconut ice cream (recommend with the banana roll). Writing about it makes my mouth water! Sol is the one who will likely greet you at the door and serve your meal. He is friendly and responsive and accurate with the bill. in fact, we saw their entire staff over the course of the meal, bringing out dishes, cleaning off the table, and greeting us with a hospitality that does not go unnoticed. I discovered this hidden gem when I had to get tire work done across the street. The guy who served me had outstanding customer service!!! Very cool atmosphere. I ordered vegetarian pineapple fried rice, honestly it might have been the best fried rice I've had in my life. Will be going back to try the noodles and curries- and bringing friends with me.
