Loveeee this poke shop! I love how much variety they have, it's not just poke bowls. We got the poke nachos, the garlic shrimp, popcorn shrimp, and chicken katsu. Everything tasted amazing!! Especially loved the poke nachos and garlic shrimp. All the fish tasted really fresh and none of them had too much garlic or sauce. Service here is great too- Kenny helped us out and he was super nice!! This place is perfect for a summer bite!

We were craving Poke, but we were away from the Poké Chop . We ordered through Uber Eats to make sure we received before they close the shop. Poke Chop serves Hawaiian poke bowls. You can build your own bowl or burrito. You choose the base which is either sushi rice, brown rice, salad, or burrito. Next, you choose preferred sides, then yout choices of protein. Finally sauces and toppings. They also have chicken katsu, gyoza, fried Calamari, and their specialties. We got five scoops poke bowls, fried Calamari, and macaroni salad. The poke bowl was very fresh, savory, and really delicious. They added generous quantity of base, protein and toppings. Their macaroni salad was creamy, rich and flavorful. Fried Calamari was crispy and well seasoned. We had a great dinner. My review is mainly for the food. Everything was well packe. Next time, I will stop by Poké Chop to get the whole experience.

Super stoked to have found this little poke spot! Had the sushi burrito with salmon, tuna, marinated tuna, spicy crab, seaweed salad and all the other fixings! Wrapped and ready to go! The burrito was huge and well worth the cost! The fish was fresh and seriously a delicious burrito! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Sat outside and they have a nice little patio ( should have taken a picture) with cornhole and patio seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was great! I will definitely be back to grub here again!

Hamachi Kama Bowl, came with an egg roll and vegetable goyza

I have to update my rating, minus a star, actually should be two stars for the subpar sushi rice, which was chewy and not cooked correct correctly on the Poké bowl. The Hamachi collar was overly fried and dry; texture was too dry. Fish is always fresh here we like the salmon and the Hamachi. We like the sides. I wish they would add some Japanese pickles like dikon or pickled ginger or any of the pickled vegetables that would be a plus. Service is always great and friendly but tonight, Hamachi collar was just overcooked over fried and too and dry rice was undercooked or just dry and chewy.

    Pole bowl. So good.

I thought I had tried every poke place within 20 miles but I obviously missed this fantastic spot. Personally, I prefer buying poke straight from a fish market, without any rice or veggies or whatever. But if it must be in a bowl, so be it. This may be the best poke bowl place in North County. The poke itself is extremely fresh and delicious. The veggies are also crazy fresh. I am not sure I have ever had better or fresher edamame or cucumbers. The sushi rice is also real sticky sushi rice, not just white rice. The attention to detail here is outstanding. Like others have said, the marinated tuna is particularly good. The salmon is also very nice. You can build your own bowl or select from one of their own creations. The so-called "small" bowl gets you two proteins and the portions of the toppings you add are very generous. My small bowl easily weighed three pounds. They also offer a handful of Hawaiian plate lunch-style dishes, like chicken katsu. We tried the chicken teriyaki plate with macaroni salad and it was very nice and comes with an egg roll and gyoza. Again, the portions are generous. The interior shop is small but very clean. They also have an outside patio with cornhole, believe it or not. OUTSTANDING poke bowls.

Wanted poke to eat in the car on the drive home and found this place on Yelp. All sizes offered are done by using the same size bowl but different number of protein scoops. I thought that was kind of weird because the proportions would be off with five scoops of protein and same amount of rest of food in bowl. Regardless, I got everything except for jalapeños and salmon only as the protein. Got the citrus ponzu as the dressing and I don't recommend this alone as it was very sour and not balanced. Next time I'll mix two different sauces to give depth and a bit more flavor. Prices for bowls were $15.50 2 protein scoops, $17.50 3 scoops, $20.50 5 scoops. You can either get a bowl or burrito. Base would be brown rice, sushi rice or salad. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was not packed, I was the only customer so it was very quick.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Restrooms available.

Wow I am glad I found this poke place. The portions are HUGE, the fish tastes fresh and the service is excellent. I will definitely come back!

Literally the best poke I've had aside from Hawaii! Came to SD on a 3 day vacation and came here twice. Huge portions too!

It's been awhile and decided to give this location a try again and felt mediocre about this specific location. I am a fan of Surf Bro Teriyaki because 1) best teriyaki I've had in SD county 2) owners are from Seattle area so they know about the teriyaki scene and how it should be executed - Seattle does teriyaki best. But their Encinitas place ok. I'm ok taking the extra drive to the Carlsbad location if need be for a better experience. CHICKEN TERIYAKI ($14.69) - walking in and seeing them grill the chickens was exciting to see! That grill flavor! Ordered my usual and when the plate arrive I felt that the chicken was spreaders over the rice to make it look fuller but I felt that I got way less chicken than I had before. I moved all the chicken to the side for my video to make it appear more fuller but I should have taken a real picture because the amount of chicken looked like a kids meal (if you view the picture on their menu). Also you'll have way more rice than teriyaki - the carbs is the filler. This is where I get my teriyaki fix so I'll def be back but hope I get more chicken.

Everything is flavorful and satisfying, and I usually order it to go. The only downside is the price. It's always been on the expensive side, but seeing one oxtail plate go up to $31 (+tax) makes it hard to justify coming here as often as I used to. The quality is still there, but the higher price means it'll probably be more of once a year meal. One thing to be aware of is that there's a surcharge even when paying with a debit card. Legally you're not supposed to add a charge when using debit card but I paid it anyways. It was an unexpected charge that other customers may want to know about. Ambience was okay. Service was nice. Overall, the food is delicious and worth trying, but between the rising prices and the added card surcharge, I'll likely be visiting once in a blue moon.

They've been in the current spot for the last 7 or 8 months, so fairly new, but were down the street for many years before that. We ordered 2 different kinds of BBQ chicken wings. Two orders of the sweet chili glazed (Pine Doni) and one of the other which was like a honey bbq glazed style. All were supposed to have 6 wings, but the honey BBQ one had 5 (?). The sweet chili was our fave of the two. Their chicken empanadas were huge, and served 3 per dish, were delicious and crispy, with an aioli like sauce with a wonderful kick. The spam roll was a masubi-like and was good (husband said it was the best he's ever had). The side of mac salad had great flavor! Jaz brought us some red rice to try on the house and it was really good! It reminded me of Vietnamese chicken rice, with chicken broth infused into the rice, making it really tasty and savory.
