Pasta with salmon in a Cajun creamy sauce, and it was seriously impressive. The pasta cooked perfectly. The salmon was tender.

Crispy, golden, and irresistibly light. These fried calamari strips are an absolute crowd-pleaser. delicate, crunchy batter. Very hard to share with others I keep them all to myself.

Very friendly staff, has a local bar setting. Very friendly staff. Very delicious food!! I had a variety of things bad they were all very tasty. I was impressed with the fried oysters! They were huge and you truly can taste the full oyster as they were only lightly battered. The chicken penna pasta, clam chowder soup, and mussels were all very enjoyable.

What a nice find in Solana Beach. This is a friendly, casual and welcoming local eatery that delivers big on food, service and fresh preparation. Clam Chowder is a nice change from the board white potato soup that is so common. The Fish Tacos come with a welcome spice. And, it's always a treat to find crispy clam strips on the menu! Fish & Chips and even chicken pasta (for non-fish eaters) were all well prepared. Guys who run the place are so polite and gave us non-locals a kind welcome.

Back to give Solana Beach Fish House another go! I still feel this is a local SB seafood shop that has good hearty food. Many local residents dine here. Nothing fancy and the portion sizes are good. Service was great and you can feel the positive energy of the customers. Ambiance is a fisherman's cave! Seafood fish cioppino stew has a hearty quantity of seafood, including one clam, one shrimp and one mussel. I found myself picking out all the seafood and leaving the broth. The Surf and Turf burrito came with white rice and beans. I really enjoyed the simplicity of this dish.

This is a very casual place in a strip mall, but the food is quite good! We had clam chowder, fried oysters, and a side of Cole slaw. All were very good. Oysters heavily breaded but nicely fried. Great friendly service.

The food was outstanding! Everyone at our table enjoyed their meals. We had the Baja Fish Taco plate, Grilled Salmon, Poke, Fish & Chips and Poke Bowl. All meals were delicious! The rice was soooooooo good, fluffy & tasty. Definitely coming back

It was great having lunch here today after a long absence for us. I had one of our favorites, Cajun Scallop Burger (5/5 $16.95) with cole slaw. Interior still has its casual nautical vibe. The fresh seafood case is gone, but the extended bar looks great. Service was very good.

Stopped in after long drive back from Tahoe. Place was busy on presidents weekend but we didn't mind waiting. I finally tried the salmon kabobs and wow! Now I can't stop talking about them and can't wait to go back. If you are in the area and want good fish come here. You can also order fish to go, market style on their board. I prefer this place over other nearby restaurants in Solana for fish.

Not bad, not great. I came here today because Fish 101 was closed. I got the fish and chips. The fish had a nice crispy coating, but was pretty flavorless. The chips were a little dry and plain. Service was great, the food came out quickly, and the ambience was casual but clean. Parking was easy once maps took me through the strip mall maze, and it was conveniently close to other nearby shopping areas. Okay for a quick bite if you're in a hurry but it didn't make it on my list of top fish and chips spots of San Diego.

We came here on accident, but this was the best accident that happened. The fried fish., fried clam strips, and fried shrimp was amazing.

The fish was great, fried shrimp was great. Service was amazing. Very nice gentlemen served us and it's just a little hole in the wall without standing food.

This place is 100% fab-u-lous. I had no idea that Peruvian food would taste THIS good. I've had…read morecuisine from Peru before, but c'mon. . . we left this lovely restaurant with HUGE smiles on our faces. Talk about customer satisfaction. It's guaranteed at Coya. Everyone who waited on us were attentive and personable. Coya Peruvian Secret lives up to precisely what their name suggests. . . so let's keep it a secret of on the down low. Shhhhh, it's better that way.

Service was great! I called ahead because most Peruvian restaurants are closed on Mondays. They are…read moreopen Mondays! Yay. 4:30-5 chef takes a break so no major dishes at that time. So we took the coast and enjoyed the long way to the restaurant so we could get there at the right time. No issues parking, but we went during a slow time. It's off steet parking, there's not a parking lot, but again we found plenty of spots right in front of the restaurant. They have pretty and colorful decor. Fun lights and beautiful flowering tree coverage. Seating is outdoors so dress accordingly. I knew this because we've enjoyed dining here a few times, so I actually used my little throw blanket. It's causal but some Couples dress up and eat here too. Server was great. He was tentative and nice. I knew I wanted the shrimp causa and my daughter's favorite Peruvian dish is Lomo saltado, so thatd what she ordered. He told us about the specials so we went with trying the baked scallops. I'd asked for 2 and he accidentally brought 4 but immediately realized and without us having to even ask, he offered to take the extra two off. So grateful he caught that. My daughter doesn't like scallops and I just wanted to try them. I like sea scallops but these were bay scallops. I never asked so I shouldn't have assumed. It was a tasty appetizer, talked my daughter into trying it but she wasn't interested to try more. She loves Parmesan cheese and there was a lot but she wouldn't attempt the scallops. They were not under nor over cooked. I'm not sure what made it taste so unique but we both agreed we've never tasted anything like it. The shrimp causa wasnt the same flavor as months months ago. We don't live near so it's been a while since we've tried it. The alioli was a lot spicier than ever but still had good flavor but the causa was dry. But I had a side of alioli to help with that. Shrimp was tasty. Several other restaurants shrimp has been tasting off for months but this place shrimp tasted better. The Inca and chicha were delicious. I miss the cut up apple they use to put in it but still tastes fresh. Lomo Saltado was just two huge potato wedges and very few rice. Look at the photo. We did not eat any of it yet. This is the portion. It had good amount of jugó but the flavor wasnt like anything we'd tasted in Peru. BUT there's many many areas in Peru and we've only lived in a few and have only visited a handful more so just because it's not like any lomo we've tasted, doesn't mean it's not Peruvian. My daughter still liked it. It was high soy sauce and high vinegar taste. Lomo has both, but it was missing the cumin and flame flavor for me. We don't like potato wedges at all but she cut it up and made due with it. We were sooooo hungry from all day at the zoo so we almost finished all of it. None of the dishes are repeats for us but again, they taste good, just not the flavors we are use to, it's been a while so maybe that's why the causa and lomo tasted different. The server asked how is everything, im sure if we had said something he'd probably sought to help, but really it is what it is. I just think they cook differently then what we have had living in Peru. My husband had the seco here time ago, it's was incredibly delicious. He loves lamb. It was cooked perfectly and the frijoles were delicious as well. I hope the decide to put that dish back on the menu. Please. Not every visit is gonna go perfectly, that's not possible. Still a fun colorful restaurant with great service. Plates had great presentation. Not long at all ago I enjoyed the ceviche. I was just too cold to get it this time. Gonna got for it next time. Another couple got a huge salad. It looked so good, imma look for it on the menu next time.

Service was 10/10, absolutely no notes! Special shoutout to…read morethe hostess & valet for being so helpful and kind while we were in town for a work event.

Went here to celebrate my birthday and it was amazing. First of all the view is 10/10, it is right…read moreby the beach and it's the perfect spot to go for a sunset dinner. Absolutely stunning. We came at 7pm and didn't have to wait too long to be seated inside, I imagine outside seating would require a reservation (which we didn't have). The food was great! Cooked perfectly and the chef had a really refined taste. The portion was perfect. Not super filling where my stomach is bursting but enough to be satisfied. The only negative was the truffle fries were mid, you can't really taste the truffle flavor it needed more. Our waiter was the best! He was so funny and making jokes with us, it really helped lighten the atmosphere. He was also very informative on the food, giving us great details and recommendations! He was always prompt to refill water without being asked! They also have me a free dessert for my birthday! I also like that they didn't sing (it's always so embarrassing) so that's a plus for me! There's valet parking for $10, or you can park on the street, or there's meter parking in the same parking lot, so you have a lot of options. Price was on the expensive end for the price. I understand it's fine dining but, $40+ dollars for 3 scallops is a bit much.. Overall, a great spot for a date, to celebrate a special occasion, would not come too often unless I'm rich.
