Wonderful time! We came here for a nice dinner on the last night of our California trip and we were not disappointed. First, Sherry was a joy! She was very nice, timed everything just right, and made us laugh along the way. We did valet because it's the easiest for parking and costs $10, not too bad compared to downtown parking anywhere else. We had a reservation and were sat right away. We weren't next to a window, but very close to one so we could see the ocean. They did also have outside seating it looked like, which is probably nice on non-humid days. I ordered 2 different cocktails (the my tai and the blackberry mojito) that were strong and good! We ordered the crab guacamole for an appetizer and loved it. Lots of crab right on top and we mixed it in to our liking, it went super well with the creaminess of the guac. For my main I got the coconut crab crusted mahi mahi. Let me tell you, that vanilla jasmine rice and the apple cider soy butter were on point! My meal was delicious! We got the tahitian coconut cheesecake to go and it was delightful. It had a passion fruit sauce and what I think was maybe a coconut milk sauce, the tangy and creamy were perfect together. This was a great meal with a beautiful view. We loved every bit of our experience. If we ever back in town, we are definitely coming back so I can try the other things I had my eye on.

I have always loved this restaurant so as we have a work meeting in Carlsbad. I knew with the fantastic food and spectacular views, that this was the place to take my team! The location is fantastic and those ocean views are stunning - plus the beach is the perfect place to walk off those dinner calories! We began with cocktails and then worked our way through the apps and food menu: Sourdough, shrimp dumplings (amazing and the dish of the night), calamari, poke, truffle fries, sushi rolls! Each dish was superb, fresh and very generous servings! Definitely could not eat it all! We ended with three desserts including cheesecake and a delicious Creme brulee! Service was great, food delicious and the views are spectacular! Always love this restaurant!

Epic dinner on the beach. Yes, we did not have reservations, but like a miracle, they found us a table ON THE BEACH at sunset. You must sit outside. Epic views of crashing waves. Warm heaters keep you enjoying the sound of the waves crashing. We just saw a flock of pelicans soaring by. We ordered bread and shrimp dumplings. Our meal was a split Paella! It was incredible. We also had seafood pasta. The taste of the ocean was evident in our meals. The service was excellent. As the sun set, the colors changed. It was a great evening.

Pacific Coast Grill is an amazing restaurant with beautiful views and great food. Food: We ordered the shrimp dumplings for an appetizer. They tasted delicious and fresh. The sauce tasted good as well. I ordered the seafood pasta with no scallops. It tasted great. The seafood paella was very good. However, the rice was a bit undercooked. Service: We did not have a reservation. However, the hostess was nice enough to find us a table outside. Our server was friendly and helpful. Ambiance: The interior is very nice and modern. The outdoor seating was very nice. There seating inside as well.

Amazing place with amazing view. We made a reservation a few days in advance. We were seated right in front of the beautiful view. Service was super friendly, attentive and helpful. Food was absolutely amazing. We had ahi tuna tower but we asked for tortilla chips instead of wontons, and it was delicious. We also had an apple beet salad that was pretty good. I had seared ahi tuna and my husband had sea bass. Both dishes were exceptional. Also everything was pretty reasonable price compared to places in the area. They have valet parking, so you don't have to worry about parking in the busy area. We definitely had a great time.

Hamburger (not on the menu but the server obliged).

We decided to stop of during vacation for an early dinner after a whale watching boat tour in San Diego Bay. We got to the restaurant 30 minutes early, and they weren't seating for dinner yet. So we sat on the bar for a drink while we waited. The bartenders were attentive and the drinks were delicious! (Not pictured) We go a Pina-Rita and a pale ale. We got seated for dinner shortly afterwards outside by the beach and waves. The view was spectacular and they have umbrellas strategically placed to offer shade. We had to move ours a bit but it was super easy. We refreshed our drinks at this time but traded the 'Rita' with a 'My Tai', which was also amazing (pictured). I am NOT a seafood fan, but my husband loves it. We ordered the empanadas for an appetizer, I had the burger with havarti and bacon and my husband had the seafood pasta. Big portions and really yummy. For dessert we had to try the crème brûlée. Service was perfect and the food and view were amazing. I'd go back again.

This restaurant is definitely a great place to eat! The food, service and view is all the best! The food was so fresh! The hot stone and cooking the tuna was so fun! The crab cakes were delicious. Everything was perfect!

I came here for the last night of my trip to watch the sunset and the staff kindly moved my boyfriend and I to a window seat on the second floor when the bottom floor was too hot. We split all of our food and a lot of our items were delicious! We ordered: Surf & turf hot rock (8/10 tasted good but more gimmicky than anything) Short rib empanadas (3/10 these really were a let down - too dry and kind of flavorless) Coconut crab crusted mahi mahi (8/10 good flavor!) Pacific paella (9/10 this was delicious but it didn't have the crispy bottom I love in paellas!) Apple pie (10/10 this was a perfect way to end the night!)

This is a great spot for groups. Reasonable prices for ocean view dining. Their menu has a nice variety of food and drink options. You can ask for their vegetarian or gluten free dedicated menus. The veggie burger with a black bean patty and veggie bacon was fantastic. Ask them to add their chipotle aioli as a condiment. It was a large portion with a side of fries or salad. The rosemary bread with butter is a nice starter for the table. Others at the table enjoyed their food, fried chicken sliders, fish and chips, beet salad, quesadilla, and lobster and shrimp chowder. Service is great. For a Sunday it wasn't busy at all and we got a window side table in the top floor without a wait. Valet parking $8.

My family and I had a very nice lunch at Pacific Coast Grill. The restaurant is located right at the beach and this makes for a beautiful view. For a table of 6, our waitress was very friendly and attentive. To start, we split their calamari which was perfectly cooked and not too chewy. For my entree, I got their Baja Fish Tacos which were very flavorful and the fish was perfectly cooked as well. My husband got their Ahi Sliders which he really enjoyed but wished he had more than 2 sliders. For dessert, we all split their bread pudding and dark chocolate custard. Both were decadent and a treat! I really enjoyed the Kona coffee gelato that was served alongside the chocolate custard. Parking is $10 valet or street parking, and the valet staff was very quick. We'd love to return when back in town!

I've been here multiple times. Will always be back. The location is unparalleled. The views of the ocean are hard to miss from wherever you're seated. This is just a great place to pre-party. The food is decent- not exceptional. Wide selection of drinks. The margaritas are fantastic. I had the Serrano pineapple w/tajin on rim. Fantastic. My surf and turf burrito was underwhelming. The service is also decent.

We went here for a celebration dinner recently and had a nice experience. It's right on the beach, so self parking is available but limited. They do have valet for $10 which was worth it to us to not have to look for parking. Our table wasn't quite ready so they told us we could sit at the bar, as they were waiting for people to leave. The bar was full so we had to wait for someone to leave, thankfully it wasn't long. Unfortunately there is no seating or anywhereto really go (except to stand outside) if your table isn't ready and the bar is full. I ordered an espresso martini, which i will say was one of the better ones I've had. It was so good i got 2. When our table was ready, we were seated outside facing the water, and it was beautiful, and so peaceful. This is what made the restaurant experience for me. I'd go back just for the view. We ordered the sushi to start, and since i love coconut shrimp, I went for the sunshine roll. It was very good and not too sweet, even though it had mango, macadamia and sweet chilli. This was my favorite part of the meal, although the price was steep at $27 for the one roll! We also ordered a half order of the sourdough bread, but the gave us a whole one since they were busy and we had to wait a bit. The bread was very good and chewy, but the outside edges were a bit tougher. I had leftovers and it toasted very well the next day. Fur my entree I decided on the plum ginger braised shortrib. It was very tender and had a nice mild flavor. Not the best I've had but still good. It came with shredded Brussels which were fine. The potatoes kind of the me for a loop and the were supposed to be augratin with jalapeno and cheddar, but i didn't taste any of that. I probably wouldn't order this again. I was pretty full from my other items, so ended up wrapping it up to go. I will definitely go back for the sushi and the view, and next time I'd probably try the lobster tacos or chowder.

The view really makes this place, you honestly can't beat it. Parking was easy enough. They offer valet for $10, and there's also some street parking nearby since it's right on the beach. The food was good too. I had the lobster tacos, which were obviously a great choice, and the interior was beautiful as well.

We stopped by on a weekend and while there was a decent crowd, we were luckily able to find indoor seating so we could escape the heat. Chips & Guac ($9.95): House-made chips served with a bowl of fresh guacamole. The chips were nice and crispy, while the guacamole was a tad on the saltier side but still had a fresh flavor. Grilled Mahi Plate ($19.95): Served with tartar sauce and your choice of two sides. I went with the white rice and black beans. The rice and beans were pretty standard and nothing particularly memorable, but the mahi was the highlight. It was tender, flavorful, and cooked nicely; even the little enjoyed it! There is both indoor and outdoor seating available. The restaurant is also conveniently located close to the beach, making it a good option to grab a bite before or after some beach time. There isn't a private parking lot so you'll have to rely on street parking which can be a little tricky depending on how busy the area is. Overall, a solid casual seafood stop if you're in the area and looking for something easy and relatively quick.

I am already trying to figure out how I can get back up there to have it again before my trip is over.
