Yes the portions are bigger but I ended up spending almost twice as much here than other dim sum spots (the ones where they push the carts). All in all, would I return? The people were nice and while I was surprised they didn't speak. Cantonese, the server spoke Mandarin and help us make decision on what items to order. We ended up getting the green beans, the filet mignon French style, a black bean fish fillet, and their house special fried rice. I thought the best item that we got was the fried rice. They put a decent amount of shrimp and barbecue pork and it tasted pretty good. The green beans was a tad bit on the sweeter side which I wasn't used to, but it had decent flavors. The filet mignon was a little bit on the smaller side and there wasn't a ton of pieces in there and it was the most expensive dish of the night. I probably will skip that next time. The fish fillet was actually pretty good. All in all, 3.5/5 stars is probably what I would give it. There are definitely better Chinese restaurants if you're willing to drive a little bit out. At least it's nice that this place is conveniently close to where we live.

She expertly recommended several cocktails, along with a glass of wine, and her knowledge of both the bar program and the menu was impressive. Her recommendations for appetizers and entrées were spot on. We decided on the Wagyu Pigs in a Blanket, BBQ Nachos, and the Spicy Rigatoni. Every dish was beautifully prepared, flavorful, and exceeded our expectations. Another team member, Emanuel, delivered one of our dishes and was equally personable and engaging. He took the time to share information about the restaurant, further demonstrating the outstanding level of hospitality displayed by the entire team. We shared with him that this was, without question, one of the best dining experiences we've had in Orange County in quite some time. My experience at Super Dumpling in Orange was one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had in a long time. My party arrived about 10 minutes before their noon opening and were the second customers seated when the restaurant opened. The restaurant quickly filled up, and we placed our order right away: four main dishes and two side dishes. Unfortunately, the problems started immediately. The restaurant itself appeared dirty and poorly maintained. There was a long black hair on the chair next to where I was seated, and we later found a short black hair in one of our dipping sauces. When we brought the hair in the sauce to our server's attention, he simply removed the sauce without apology, explanation, or offering a replacement. Throughout the restaurant, there were visible food splatters on the walls, which made the environment feel unsanitary, unappetizing, and frankly quite gross. About 35 minutes after ordering, the only food we received was our two side dishes (chicken fried rice and cucumbers). None of our four main dishes had arrived. After waiting another 10 minutes, our server told us the food should be out shortly. Five minutes later, we asked another server to check on our order. We were then told there had been some sort of Wi-Fi issue and that our food would be coming soon. Meanwhile, we watched multiple tables around us receive all of their food, including several tables that had arrived well after we did. It was obvious that something had gone wrong with our order, yet nobody seemed interested in addressing it. After nearly 50 minutes, we still had not received any of our main dishes. At no point did a manager come to speak with us, apologize, or explain what was happening. We finally told our server that we wanted to leave and asked for the bill. To make matters worse, there was no discount, no gesture of goodwill, and no apology. We were charged the full amount for the two side dishes (about $25) and were treated as though the staff was irritated that we had canceled our order rather than understanding why we were frustrated. I understand that restaurants can get busy and mistakes happen. What I cannot understand is the complete lack of communication, accountability, customer service, and basic cleanliness. Between the excessive wait, the missing food, the hair in our sauce, the dirty dining area, and the indifferent attitude from the staff and management, this was a thoroughly disappointing experience. Based on this visit, I would NEVER return and cannot recommend this restaurant! read more

Mainly I was searching for a good halal dumpling spot, and that's how I found Super Dumpling on Google Maps. Trust me -- the dumplings were really SUPER! We originally went just to try dumplings, but we ended up ordering the chicken noodles too, and wow... absolutely delicious One order of noodles can easily feed 2 people. The portions are big, fresh, and full of flavor. They also give you a paper menu where you can choose everything yourself, which makes ordering easy and fun. The service was really good -- the staff were polite, friendly, and patient. The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated, giving a cozy and welcoming vibe. I was so excited to try to finally try Super Dumpling, & I can confidently say it did not disappoint! From the moment we stepped through the door, we were greeted with a warm atmosphere & friendly staff, setting the stage for what would be a fantastic dining experience. Everything we ordered was amazing, but the standout for me was definitely the wonton spicy dumplings. They were absolutely delicious--packed with flavor & just the right amount of heat. Another great aspect is that the restaurant is halal, which made it a perfect choice for me & my friends. Food is good not great but good enough for a dumpling, chinese or taiwanese craving. The decor reminds me of a 1950s soda shop lots of pink. They have an average selection. They limited dumpling selection. Many of it with combination of veggies that such as my husband doesn't eat so we were limited to the beef and green onion. They are juicy but flavorful not really. They are handmade that is the positive part but i felt like more stuffing should be inside of it. it was way more dumpling than stuffing. For me it's gotta be stuffed good. The mongolian beef was okay more onions and scallions then I normally would want, the orange chicken or bad lots of sauce and spice chicken it was okay not as meaty. The green beans were delish i have to say. Overall pricing doesn't fit the portions little pricey but this is not always going to be my go to place maybe once a year. Despite being a halal restaurant, they have no respect for the Muslim community. My family and I placed our names on the waitlist and left a message on the form stating we have members of our family who are fasting, so if they could seat us as soon as possible we would greatly appreciate it. You would think that they would be considerate, but they were not. When our name got to the 6th family on the list, all of a sudden it dropped to the 8th. And when we inquired about this, the workers tried to gaslight us into thinking others put their name down before us. These people are super inconsiderate and have a horrible way of seating people. If they plan on staying busy at least they should be organized in how they seat people. Entirely disappointed in this restaurant. What a shame. read more

Super Dumplings definitely lived up to the hype. The food was fantastic--everything came out fresh, flavorful, and tasted like it was made with care. The dumplings were packed with flavor, and every dish we ordered disappeared way too fast. The only thing that could use a little improvement is the service. It seemed like the staff may have been a bit understaffed or just a little unorganized during our visit, so things took a bit longer than expected. That said, everyone was still friendly and doing their best, so it didn't take away from the overall experience. I'd absolutely come back because the food alone is worth the visit. Hopefully next time the service is a little smoother, but if you're craving great dumplings, this place is definitely worth checking out. read more

Terrible service! We gave them another try since opening night was so chaotic and service was so very slow. Today was even worse and They were not busy. We ordered takeouts at the counter and said we would come back and pick it up I a few minutes. When we got back, they couldn't find our orders and then they discovered they delivered it to someone in the restaurant eating at a table. They delivered it all wrapped up to go. The people that they had delivered it to decided to keep it and eat it there at the table! Hope you enjoyed our food! The restaurant said it would take another 20 minutes to make another order and didn't even offer to discount it. Such terrible service. Hoping they will figure things out but I'm staying away for now and maybe forever. read more

My experience at Super Dumplings was an absolute nightmare. Despite clearly indicating that we were fasting and adding our names to the waitlist, the staff demonstrated a shocking level of incompetence and apathy. Instead of honoring our request to sit inside and break our fast, they callously left us standing in the rain like second-class citizens while shamelessly prioritizing others ahead of us. The blatant disregard for our needs and the disrespectful treatment we received were utterly appalling. It's clear that customer satisfaction is not a priority for Super Dumplings, and their incompetence and lack of empathy have left a lasting sour taste.
