Located near the Acura Weir Canyon dealership and freeway, is where you will find this delicious Korean friendly, clean, and delicious restaurant. We ordered peach soju (delicious) the grape one tasted like dimeatapp medicine yuck we split the spicy beef soup, spicy pork (medium heat), and bulgogi pancake all which I would order again. Hilariously the women's bathroom had a sign that says "5 star I would poop here again" and although I didnt drop any myself,I definitely see how one would use this clean restroom for some extra stomach space. I've always loved coming to Jincook, and it's consistently been a great experience. However, I have to give it 4 stars tonight because our food took almost half an hour to arrive, and we noticed tables that were seated after us received their food first. :( Our food did come shortly after, but there was no acknowledgment or explanation from our server about the wait. I do wish they served the sides while waiting for the entrees so we at least had something to snack on in the meantime! Our server also seemed a bit less enthusiastic than the others, which isn't typically our Jincook experience since we've always received such exceptional and friendly service here. That said, there was another female server who was absolutely on top of everything. She offered to mix our beef hot stone so we could "taste all the flavors" and even refilled our side dishes without us having to ask. Those little touches really stood out! As for the food, we ordered our usual Boo Dae Jji Gae (Military Soup), which never fails to hit the spot, and tried the Beef Hot Stone for the first time. The Beef Hot Stone a 10/10! It was rich and flavorful, with all the ingredients complementing each other so well. The beef had a slightly crispy texture that added a really nice bite. I initially missed not ordering the katsu, but honestly, this was such a good choice! The portions are very generous and filling. Despite the service hiccup tonight, I'll definitely continue coming back. I've enjoyed everything I've tried here so far, and one slower experience won't keep me away. I'm so happy to have found this place a little closer to where we live! We've been dining at their Buena Park and Yorba Linda locations, so having another option nearby is such a treat. We came for dinner on a Friday in August and were put on a waitlist for about 20 minutes. Surprisingly, they offered complimentary infused water outside while we waited in the summer heat--such a thoughtful and unexpected gesture! Once it was our turn, we were seated right away. All the servers were incredibly nice, attentive, and made sure we were well taken care of. I can honestly say the service here is even better than at the other location we've visited in Buena Park. As for the food, the Garlic Suyuk was delicious as always--10/10! The Steamed Dumplings tasted just like a homemade dish, another 10/10. Highly recommend this place! Had rave reviews of this place from my coworker but unfortunately I have to take stars off for poor service and inflexibility with accommodations. Parking is pretty easy in this plaza, shares with Smart & Final and some other food places. There has been a decent wait both times I've come. That's always a promising sign and the line moves relatively quickly. The food with meat is good quality and large portions. We got the kalbi jjim which is expensive but comes with a large portion and generous meat. My son also likes the katsu combination and usually gets fish and chicken. So why the negative stars? We found Jincook to be very inflexible about accommodating vegetarians. While we ordered all the veg items (mushroom curry, bibimbap, and mushroom japchae) we wanted to have our friends try some other Korean dishes like pajeon (Korean pancake). The servers said they could prepare a vegetarian pancake without seafood or beef but could not price adjust ($28 for each given the protein) or put the meat on the side. Despite the picture on the menu of the bulgogi topping the pancake, the servers said this was an inaccurate picture and the bulgogi had to be cooked inside the pancake only. We asked if it could be price adjusted to the cost of the chicken pancake ($22) and they said no. We also asked if they could do the chicken cold noodles without a chicken broth and they said they couldn't. Banchan is also very stingy portion wise. When we asked for refills they tended to only give 4-6 cucumbers. Overall I was disappointed by the lack of accommodation. Would drive further to Buena Park or garden grove for better food next time and more flexibility. Update to address owner's response: He did not address the price inflexibility (i.e. charging $22 for the pancake instead of $28) or the inaccuracy of the bulgogi pancake on the menu. In line with authenticity, Korean food has a multitude of vegetarian options. Jincook is just not offering many in terms of pajeon (kimchi pancakes) or spicy cold noodles that are vegetarian. We came here for Father's Day and had a feast. The ambiance is cute and the service is amazing, everyone here is really nice. We got the beef short rib spicy and normal with cheese on both ~ the spicy wasn't spicy, just a slightly different flavor but delicious, pork belly was delicious but a bit fatty so could only eat so much, soon du bu, cold noodles and seafood pancake. Checked out Jincook in Yorba Linda and can see why their Buena Park location is already well known. The restaurant has a modern late-night Korean pub vibe and they stay open pretty late, making it a great spot for dinner or late night cravings. We started with the makgeolli which was light, refreshing, and paired well with all the food. One of my favorite dishes was the beef hot stone. It came loaded with thin sliced beef, kimchi, vegetables, fried egg, and cheese that they torch tableside before mixing everything together. Super flavorful, comforting, and packed with texture. The chicken bibim noodles were spicy, chewy, and refreshing for a warm day. The seafood pancake had a crispy exterior while still being packed with seafood inside. I also liked the fried kimbap served with tartare sauce -- a fun twist from the traditional version. The brisket tteokbokki was rich, creamy, and spicy with fish cakes, cabbage, ramen, and rice cakes soaking up all the sauce. The galbi jjim was tender with just the right amount of heat and tasted even better with rice. Small detail I appreciated: they give you reheating instructions for leftovers at the end of the meal. However, we felt like we could have some more food, so after some discussion, we decided to try the top seller short rib hot stone. Amazing Korean restaurant in Yorba Linda! I couldn't be happier with this spot opening up so close to our home! I come here ALL the time with my husband and kids and we all love it a lot. The kids like to order the galbitang usually and I will get the cold chicken soup. Those are our go-tos. However, we recently tried their curry katsu and it was SO good. Their chicken pancakes are also amazing. Btw--they have DRINKS! All the best Korean beverages I grew up with--they have them all here! I completely forgot about Sac Sac until I saw them again at this place. The inside is setup like an old traditional Korean neighborhood. I LOVE their attention to all those details. It makes me feel like I'm eating at a restaurant in Seoul whenever I go here--it's the BEST feeling. It was my first time visiting Jincook in Yorba Linda, but I've been to their locations in Buena Park and Downtown Los Angeles. Although there were about four parties queued before me, I only waited about 20 minutes on a Sunday at noon. We went here to celebrate a birthday and enjoyed the large and delicious dishes. My family and I got the sweet and spicy gangjung ($13.95), bulgogi hot stone ($26.95), chicken vegetable bbim noodles ($18.95), and katsu combination with pork and chicken ($19.95). The sweet and spicy gangjung was tasty and didn't pack too much heat. Some parts of the meat were a little fatty, however. The marinade's sweetness from the bulgogi hot stone was prominent, and there was a lot of beef. I tried the chicken vegetable bbim noodles again, and they tasted excellent. Our server cut the buckwheat noodles for us and provided bowls and plates for us to share. The katsu combination with pork and chicken tasted great like last time. I still think their chicken tastes better than the pork. Service was great as the staff regularly checked in on with us if we needed anything. We got a few refills of banchan (radishes, kimchi, and cucumbers). While waiting, there was a dispenser of cucumber-flavored water. There was also a good selection of Korean pop music playing in the background. After visiting each of the Jincook locations, their food quality seems consistently good throughout them all currently. read more

I'd seen Jincook come up on Yelp a few times, backed by lots of glowing reviews so I decided to give it a try. Stopped by around noon on a weekend and waited about 10 minutes for a table. There were a few empty tables, but it seemed like they might have been short-staffed, as service was a bit slow to get those filled. There was a sign outside about a soft opening and asking for patience, which was a little surprising since they've been open since September 2025. We ordered the Beef Soup ($17.95), Bulgogi Pancake ($28.95), and Jin Cook Kal Guk Soo ($17.95). The pancake had a nice crispy texture, though the bulgogi flavor didn't stand out as much as I expected. The Kal Guk Soo was a highlight; I enjoyed the chewy noodles in the seafood broth. The ambiance made it feel like we were dining in Korea, which added to the experience. There were several other dishes that looked tempting, so I'd come back with a larger group to try more. Jincook may very well be the best Korean cuisine I've experienced this year, thus far! From the moment we arrived and took our seats until the end of our meal, we received nothing short of amazing food and of less service here, and I am convinced that they deserve their ratings! Seafood Pancake (4/5): A super crispy pancake served on a hot stone plate. It was a thick pancake, almost like a pizza shape and came sliced. It was ideally shareable for 4-6 people, although I wish it came with a more flavorful sauce, and bigger sauce dishes at that. The pancake was mild in flavor and very crispy on the edges of the pancake. Galbi Jjim - Braised Beef Rib (4.5/5): Wonderful flavor of the beef, it was perfectly tender and came with two bowls of white rice for our table! It was phenomenal! Along was stir fried veggies and the galbi was so tender. I think this is one of their specialties here. Chogye Cold Noodles (4/5): Top seller! A rich chicken ice broth provided instant cooling relief to accompany the hot stone dishes. It came with shredded chicken, egg, and cucumbers and was mixed in with all the sauces like mustard and vinegar. You are immediately greeted by an immense amount of positive energy when you walk through the front door and the decoration inside makes you feel like you've been transported. Beef Soon Dubu (mild) - This was so yummy! You can easily argue how can tofu soup be tasty, but their's does it. It's all about the ingredient quality. They don't used the dried up beef slices like in most places. The beef comes diced and tender and the tofu is super silky. My favorite is that they break the egg for you so you don't have to get your hands all dirty trying to crack an egg. Bibimbap Hot Stone - Another great classic! The presentation makes you want to eat the whole thing right away. Our server Kathy was so kind to help us mix in the sauce and was very considerate by asking us how spicy. We only mixed in half the sauce and it was still very flavorful. Galbi - This is my personal favorite along side the Soon Dubu. The meat quality is very good, not giant chunks of fat like you can get in some places. The flavor and texture are both great. Overall, this place is now my new favorite if I'm ever craving Korean food. The staff are all so friendly and attentive. They check up on you frequently to make sure you have everything you need. We've lived in La Palma for years and had no idea we had such a gem so close to home. We were absolutely blown away by every dish that came out today. The chogye cold noodles were the star of the food spread--perfect for this warm weather, and the broth was seriously to die for. You could taste that same depth of flavor in the tteokbokki too. Adding chadol was such a perfect touch, and the richness of the broth really made the dish stand out. And somehow, our kids completely devoured the seafood kalguksu--which says a lot.
