It was like a sad, cake-less episode of Mission Impossible. In a final act of desperation (and possibly madness), I opened a Yelp project request, and bam--Santos to the rescue! Not only did he respond faster than a pizza delivery guy, but he quoted me an amazing price despite it being a last-minute, urgent cake mission. Like, I could almost hear him say, "Cake? No problem." Santos sent me photos of him arriving at the bakery, a screenshot of the GPS routing him to my sister's home (he's basically the cake delivery GPS whisperer), and even a shot of the cake safely at my sister's doorstep like a true cake hero.
