Visited Sunshine Cafe in a whim looking for a place for brunch and it did not disappoint. It's very cozy and you wouldn't expect how spacious the inside is just from the outside. We were a party of 2 and seated right away on a Saturday morning just before 11AM. The menu has your typical breakfast offerings, like pancakes, omelettes, and the likes, as well as some lunch options. We opted for the breakfast options and they did not disappoint. I ordered the sunshine scramble and I really enjoyed how fresh the avocados and tomatoes were! All the flavors balanced each other really well and there was even a good amount of bacon for your protein needs. The potatoes were also excellent, seasoned, and cooked very well. I don't like writing bad reviews, but this is a part of what Yelp is. My wife and I had breakfast here a few days ago. My wife's scrambled eggs and crispy bacon was good. I ordered smoked salmon Benedict. Looked good. Potatoes were good. Took first bite and hollandaise and poached egg were cold. I tried to find something good on the plates. Both poached eggs were very cold and no runny yoke. Sauce was cold. Our waitress was really good. She understood and I ordered sausage and eggs. I couldn't eat the meal, just turned off. Folks around were enjoying their food. I did not. I'm going to the deli next door like we have for years. I give 2 stars because or our server. She was cool and understanding. read more

I would give Sunshine Cafe more than five stars if I could. This is one of my favorite breakfast places in the Napa Valley. It's a charming little diner with plenty of personality and great food to back it up. We showed up for breakfast on a Saturday morning, and of course, there was a bit of a wait to get a table. I gave my name and number to the hostess, who said she'd call me when a table was ready. She said it would likely take about 15 minutes, so I we went back to our car to wait. I got a call within five minutes we were seated immediately at the counter. Counter seating is great real estate, where they literally never let our coffee cups go empty without offering refills. My husband and I each ordered a corn beef hash and decided to share an order of the biscuits and gravy. Man, oh man. The biscuits and gravy were so delicious and filling that I realized I would've been satisfied with just that. I also loved my corn beef hash, especially mixing in the biscuit gravy with the corned beef. Yum! I appreciated the quality of the corned beef. We got choice tender cuts of brisket, as opposed to a lower quality ground version. Next time, I'd like to try one of the adult boozy milkshakes. read more

In my option there was too much cheese (although delicious) and there was no jam for my toast. The portions were big, considering I also got a side salad (in place of potatoes). Enjoyed a lovely breakfast here today. The service was kind & attentive. The restaurant is located off Trancas next to CVS. We enjoyed the bacon & eggs with the upgraded truffle potatoes & mushrooms. The eggs were perfectly scrambled, toast came buttered & nicely toasted. Bacon was crisp and a great serving size. I believe there were 3-4 slices. The truffle potatoes were just ok since I couldn't really taste the truffle, but the potatoes were nice & crispy. You also can upgrade to their homemade biscuits instead of their Levain bread toast. Took myself to sunshine cafe for my birthday. The hostess was also my server. She was so sweet and took care of me and my 10 month old baby. I ordered the eggs and pancakes to share with my baby. Busy little place in a small shopping area however a lots of parking. They have seat outside as well but its just table nothing fancy, I prefer inside it's nicer. Food is very well prepare however the platting arrangement for the avocado toast need to be changed, they have green salad with it and instead of arranging the salad on the side of the plate the salad covered the toast and there quit a lots of green so you have to work your way out to either move the salad on a different plate or find a space on the plate to move it, I saw other people on other table had the same issue with the same dish. I love the fact that they are easy to substitute the menu. I love my strawberry waffle, it was very light and moist however needed more sirup since there are no sirup bottle on the table I had to have part of my waffle a bit dry. All the food we had were well prepared and cared for. My bloody Mary didn't seems have much alcohol though, I thought maybe they gave me virgin bloody Mary. The service here is very solid, fast and accurate, our Server Alicia was very nice and attentive and seems very happy as well its looks like she enjoy her job. This restaurant is so cute and worth hitting for a girls' brunch, spring time with the family, or just because. We were in Napa to visit my grandmother in the hospital. We went to spend some time with her for Easter. On the way home, we stopped here. I had a spiked coffee with Eggs Benedict, my boyfriend had biscuits and gravy and my son had a kids meal. The meal was so good, we were all completely silent during the meal (and I forgot to get pictures of the food that was so good). The owner of the restaurant checked on us and made sure we were taken care of and our meal was memorable. I gotta say, other than the meal and the service, If there was anything here that was unforgettable, it was the bathrooms. My son and I had to check them out without lights. Loved this place! We went on a Sunday with 6 of us. We're not from Napa, but we're visiting for a night and after a day of wine tasting, wanted a good hardy breakfast. We didn't want something super Napa fancy as we had done lots of that the day before. We looked for a good diner on Yelp, and I'm so glad we did because this place was exactly what we were looking for. It is SO cute inside, and looked like they had recently done some upgrades. The booths and chairs looked newly reupholstered, the hallways were sharply white, and it was so clean. We loved the pop of the blue upholstery, and felt they totally embraced the diner vibes. Very cute, fun, and bright color usage made it a nice environment. I ordered the Sunshine Scramble and it was absolutely delicious. I ordered an English muffin as my bread option, and it was clearly homemade which I feel is rare. I could tell it was heated on a griddle, and the homemade jam was AMAZING! I visited Sunshine Cafe with my sister and brother-in-law for breakfast the other weekend. The place is packed so I suggest you come early. We put our names down and was told the wait would be about 30 min. After 30 min had passed, we went to check our spot in line and was told it would be another 30 min. I'm not sure why the time was underestimated the first time. Anywho, by the time we sat down I was starving. My sister and I shared an order of the Corned Beef Hash & Eggs $20 and an order of Biscuits and Gravy. We were confused because when our food came, we got a gravy boat but no biscuits. I think our server got our order confused. We notified our server, but by the time the actual biscuits and gravy order came out we were pretty much already done eating.
