Disappointing pricing policy - won't be back unless it changes My wife had been telling me how much she enjoyed this place, so I finally brought the family in for our first visit. The frozen yogurt itself was decent, and my family really liked their treats. Unfortunately, the actual experience left a very sour taste in my mouth. I was highly insulted to find out that Yo'Belle charges customers more if they choose to pay with a credit card. Their signs claim a +4% difference, which is incredibly steep. As someone who runs my own small, family-owned business, I find this practice outdated and frustrating in this day and age. In my own business, I prefer credit cards. The actual merchant fees are usually around 2.5%, and paying that small fee is well worth avoiding the extra time, effort, and risk it takes for employees to count cash, balance a drawer, and handle bank deposits (not to mention bank cash fees). Penalizing customers for using modern payment methods feels like a lazy way to pass on the cost of doing business. It's annoying and insulting. My family and I will not be returning to Yo'Belle unless this policy is changed. read more

Hubby and I stopped in on our babymoon for dessert. We shared a cup of Strawberry Lemonade and Mango Swirl Sorbet with Strawberries, Kiwis, Mango, Mango Popping Boba, Coconut Flakes & Yogurt Chips. It's absolutely amazing, very fruity and sweet! Not to mention it's sorbet, so it's dairy free! I would HIGHLY recommend this small business that opened in 2010 at Bel Aire Plaza. They're a self-serve froyo and sorbet shop with plenty of toppings and nice seating available to enjoy your frozen treat! We'll definitely be making return visits, our next trip to Napa! I used to frequent Yo Belle when they were located in downtown Napa. Given that the area around the waterfront now caters to more upscale fare, it's perfectly fitting they moved to a more suburban area in a nice plaza filled with everyday shops and necessities. I hope that has given them more business. Their yogurt quality has stayed the same not too icy, not too sweet and always a good variety of flavors. I'm a fan of their dole fruit flavors that are just the right level of tart. Lots of toppings, self serve and weighed by the ounce and a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating. I much prefer this location and the quality and service have remained stellar. A go-to when I want an inexpensive and not fru-fru dessert in Napa. read more

I'm happy Napa has a frozen yogurt shop so it's better than nothing. Few things: It's upsetting when they don't have a dairy free open (they usually do but sometimes they don't and it's annoying) As someone with a child who is allergic to dairy it's frustrating to make the trip and have to leave with no one getting anything. The SPOONS!! they used to be great. Big scoop head and your typical froyo spoon. Then they went to just plain plastic spoons. Now the spoons are so cheap that they bend when they hit the froyo then fling the toppings all over you. It's happened multiple times to myself and my kids. Took my grandson today to YoBelle. It was nice and clean inside. They have a non dairy sorbet that was very delicious .And a great selection of diced fruit to add. Went in recently and my boyfriend got a 1/2 of the cup full; and it was $11.. I usually get mine over the top w/lots of yummies, and it's never been more than $15.. on Monday, they told me it was $23! I asked "WHAT, did you raise your prices", and they said no..I also had my punch card full(for a free one, and the guy said I couldn't use it for this, as it weighed too much! I go in there once a month, sometimes twice, and I've never, ever had any issues with this until Monday! He said he could take a pound off the weight(WTH), and he still charged me $11.!!! My cup was barely 1/2 full and light on toppings (see picture) and it weighed 10.6 Oz on the scale so they charged me for that weight and it came to $6.25. Disgusting! We visited yo belle this evening on 6/2/23 and the toppings bar was filthy. We've come here many times and it's never been like this. If I'd seen the topping bar before I got my yogurt, I would have left. Most of the toppings were almost empty with other ingredients tossed all over. Andes mints were covered in stray whipped cream. Smears of food and toppings everywhere and toppings spilled on the floor. Even the scales were smeared with dried on food and the counters were smeared with yogurt as well. I'm hoping the back of the house and the yogurt machines are cleaned and sanitized properly. If not, I'll post again if we get sick. No excuse... One star: Service was friendly. read more

It's a self serve place with a dozen flavors, ranging from original tart, orange, vanilla, strawberry, chocolate, cinnamon, peanut butter, and more. They also have over a dozen toppings, which you get to serve yourself as well. I got orange, plus a bit of vanilla and strawberry with fresh blueberries and strawberry. Stunned at the freshness and quality. Firstly, no preservatives in it, and my stomach could tell--no bloating or upset. Clean fresh brightly sparkly flavors. Love this place so much. They charge according to how much you but, which I love that there's no set price by container, because I always end up eating it when they have that kind of set up. I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream. Whole I'm not a raging fan of this establishment, it gets the job done, or at least, the CUSTOMER, gets the job done. It's self serve. There are about 10 or so flavors with a lot of different toppings - including chocolatey, sugary, salty and everything in between. The prices are about what you'd expect. Measured by weight, I end up spending around $4-$7 / sundae. The ambiance is like a juice or smoothie bar, almost but not really tricking you into believing what you are eating is healthy. Haha. The outdoor seating is quite nice, despite staring at a parking lot. I'm sure I'll return because it's good enough and very convenient. Kids do love it. I was initially excited about Yo Belle as it's relatively close to where I live in Napa. Unfortunately I go here only rarely for a few reasons. First and foremost the owners apparently don't care much about the quality of their staff or the cleanliness of their facility. In fact it doesn't appear that the owners are here very often so I guess how would they know? The teenage girls behind the counter obviously have little training and even less concern about anyone seeing how they behave or how the store looks. Simply put, the outside is FILTHY. The tables have old, dried yogurt on them, the ground often has litter on it as well as more old, dried yogurt. Every time I walk by the single garbage can outside is literally overflowing with empty yogurt cups. All of this while the twits (sorry but that's really what they are) inside yuk it up and text their crushes or whatever it is they're doing that's clearly more important to them than earning their pay. To be fair they're just being teenagers, which is fine... and is also why the owners need to instill some sense of responsibility in them before letting them run the whole place on their own. If you don't train them that being attentive and keeping the place clean will cost them their jobs guess what? They won't do it. Beyond a poorly trained staff and a garbage strewn mess of a store, the yogurt isn't all that great either. It's passable, but certainly not the best I've had. The toppings bar is adequate but not impressive. I was really excited to have a new yogurt place here in Napa, especially after the whole phase that's been going on with frozen yogurt lately. Unfortunately, the yogurt just isn't that great here. I walked in and they immediately handed me this tiny tasting cup, usually for only 1 use, but since it was my first time there, I tried 4 flavors. The Dark Chocolate was my favorite, except the fact that it tastes just like a Wendy's Frosty. I also tried the Cookies and Cream, not good. The Strawberry was ok, and the Original was just way too sour for me. I ended up getting the Dark Chocolate. This entire operation is entirely "self-serve," so you pour your own serving of frozen yogurt, and you put your own toppings in your cup. The choices of toppings aren't that great, and for some stupid reason they put slices of fresh bananas out that just get all brown. Not smart. Overall, I'm not at all impressed with YoBelle. I'd rather go somewhere else here in Napa to get frozen yogurt. read more

On a warm weekday, we wanted something cold. This place was one of the rare ones open on a weekday. To start off, the two stars I've given are for the COVID precautions they are taking. It gives a customer confidence when they see that. Now there are simply no stars for the frozen yogurt since it wasn't as good as the others we've had. I was surprised by the limited options. We only found two which we could consider: strawberry and pistachio. The others weren't tempting at all. We just recently moved here in Napa, and we've been craving for some Froyo. So we yelped our way into getting a Froyo, and I am not entirely sure, but it seemed like there's only two options which is this Yo Belle, and the other Yo Belle. So, we decided to go to this branch since we're doing a quick trip to Trader Joe's anyway. We got some chocolate, strawberry, and the original tart. They have some pretty good topping selection. Although, I wish there's more unsweetened options. I put some brownie bites and oreo on the chocolate, put some sprinkles, and fruity pebbles on the strawberry, and some crushed graham on the original tart. Judging ONLY the flavored frozen yogurts, I would say that the flavors are there. But they are waaaay too sweet. I know it's suppose to be sweet. But there's a big difference between sweet, and waaay too sweet. Then you add the sugary toppings, making the whole thing tasting like pure sugar. I'm still giving this place 4 stars since the flavors are good, they have varieties of toppings, and the place is clean and organized. I just really hope that they offer less sweeter froyos.
