    Eggs and ... Thomases!

A diner! Not a retro diner, not a (unashamedly) "greasy spoon" but an actual diner. Great eggs, potatoes, grits and reality good coffee. Good service. Comfortable booths Perfection

This is absolutely disgusting I would not even feed this to my dog. This is the "deluxe tuna melt sandwich" a pile of slop on cold bread I paid $23 for. I literally hope you guys go out of business. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!!!

Tbh I love this diner. 24 hours. You can pay your bill w a QR code on your phone. The food always comes out quickly. The menu is extensive. Everything is priced reasonably. The dining room is always kept fairly clean. It's good diner food. Just keep in mind you are at a DINER! That being said, I will say the coffee is pretty terrible.

This place has extremely bad services, racist staff, and even commits ILLEGAL CREDIT CARD FRAUD and FORGERY by changing the tip amount I already signed. Do not go here if you want your credit card information to be safe! My friends went there on 11.01. The staff was extremely rude--he was actively ignoring us (three poc women) while serving other tables, and we waited at least 30 minutes to be able to order. And he messed up at least two items in our order and we didn't even receive the food we ordered! We were given two wrong items, and he continued to ignore us when we wanted to address it. Even among the one or two times when we had the chance to talk to him (since the whole time he was ignoring us), he was visibly extremely impatient and rude. We decided to call it a night and ate whatever he gave us and left. We intentionally left only $3 tip because of how bad the services were. However, this restaurant decided to commit ILLEGAL CREDIT CARD FRAUD and FORGERY by changing the tip amount I already signed into a 20% tip! There is absolutely no way I'm signing a 20% tip after receiving such bad services from an extremely hostile and racist staff. (Please see my images below for proof.) I called the restaurant after I found out that my tip was changed. Their response was dismissive, they promised to call back but never did. JUST DO NOT GO if you don't want the headaches of having your credit card information leaked to some very questionable people.

Shrimp scampi , grilled chicken dinner , cheeseburger deluxe , soup, salads, their menu is so delicious.

We ordered a pork chop dinner , a Turkey dinner & a grilled chicken dinner, 3 Yankee bean soups . Everything was so delicious & filling .

DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!! This was the WORST experience I've ever had at any place I've went to. Everything started off ok. We ordered our food and waited for it to come. So, food finally comes but only 4 of us got our food. Reason being that the a**hole waiter completely ignored my black friend and didn't take his order. My friend finally got his burger and we all started eating. Ok fine, but then both of my black friends did not get their drinks. One Sprite and one lemonade. They did try to tell the waiter but the a**hole wouldn't even look at them when they spoke. He did bring the drinks but didn't even give the drinks to them. He put them both next to my white friend who then handed them over. The entire time we were there the waiter was extremely racist, didn't listen to us and he was just HORRIBLE all around. I paid the bill but did NOT leave a tip cause f**k that racist piece of s**t!! It gets better tho! I look on my credit card account a few days later and this a**hole decided he was gonna go ahead and add a $10 tip to my card WITHOUT my consent. I called the diner and had a very long conversation with one of the managers who told me this guy has a record for people complaining about him and has been working there for FOUR YEARS!!!!! So who knows how many illegal things this a**hole waiter has done. He wasn't doing s**t about giving me my money back so I called my credit card company and they took care of it. This diner is lucky I don't press charges for theft. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!! PS- I'm only posting a picture of my food cause the chef didn't do anything wrong and my pancakes were good.

Diners! I just do take outs online inly and never came to the actual diner so not sure about the vibe but the food is good. I ordered twice and just the home fries with over easy eggs and sausages. The sausages are very good and thick. They are not your average skinny ones. Their burgers are okay medium well. Food comes fast and does not take long so that's a good thing!

Tonight my husband, a friend and I stopped at the Sunset Dinner for a late dinner after attending a show. This little spot is the quintessential NY Diner! The service was fast and friendly. Our food came out super fast, hot and fresh. I ordered the brioche french toast with fresh strawberries, 2 eggs over medium with bacon. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the french toast was on point. My husband had the grilled chicken deluxe sandwich with cooked onions and a side of french fries, he enjoyed it. Our friend had the eggs Ranchero with french fries, she said it was delicious. I would recommend this diner if you are in the neighborhood and looking for a good meal at a reasonable price.

I LOVE SUNSET! Been going there all my life growing up - I always come here for breakfast at all hours of the day. It's become tradition my nephew and I come every Saturday after our morning activities! It always comes out fresh, hot and on point, never had to send anything back, never had any complaints. Service and staff are always friendly and amazing! The place is always packed on weekends, but that's how you know the place is good. I get my home fries, sausage and sunny side up eggs and it's never shy from perfect. They have great coffee as well that completes the meal!

Ya never know. This used to be part of the charm, but now it's a liability because friends (and other chefs in the neighborhood) never want to go to Diner because...ya never know what it'll be. Diner has never coasted on continuity. They change up the menu every day. They write it on the paper tablecloth, for Chrissakes. But I still love that! I still find most of the food to be delicious (if pricey), I still think their cocktails are well-made (even if their bar is weirdly slow) and I love their brunch and I love the vibe, and I'm glad it's still here. But if you're looking for some excellent, straight forward, wonderfully crafted simplicity, this is in your wheelhouse. A quesadilla is a quesadilla, a hamburger a hamburger. Sounds boring? Not when your hamburger and quesadilla are amongst the best you've ever had at any diner, anywhere. Our waitress was very nice and allowed us to dine, unbothered. The dining area certainly belies what happens in that kitchen behind the door. I'll be back to try some more simple, but excellent food.

This spot has a handful of tables and while we were there, quite a few to-go orders were picked up as well. Though we were the only diners, so I assume it's more of a breakfast/brunch spot. The menu is rather expansive with options from breakfast to lunch and dinner. After studying the menu, we opted for the Veggie Burger and the Meatball Parm Po'Boy. Our food was ready in about 20 minutes, which seemed a little long as we were the only diners, but we were not in a rush so it was fine. As the restaurant was unassuming, I honestly had pretty low expectations, but we both really enjoyed our meals. It was definitely large portions and really flavorful. My fiance said the Meatball Parm Po'Boy was delicious and I appreciated that the veggie burger seemed to be made in house as it was falling apart (in a good way) and you could distinguish some of the veggies. I ended up only eating about half of my burger and took the rest for lunch the next day and it held up well.

Lastly, we got a Caribbean omelet. My rice and pernil was solid. The rice could've used a tad bit more seasoning but when mixed with the side of beans and plantains plus a drizzle of hot sauce it was perfect. They had a variety of sauces--Tabasco (my fave), a Jamaican one that was super spicy, and a mild homemade one. The tres/quatro golpes was also a hearty choice with mangu (mashed plantain), sausage, fried cheese, and eggs. The pickled red onion balanced everything out. The fried cheese is similar to a halloumi but I think it's a bit more flavorful. All the flavors just melt together in your mouth perfectly. The French toast and omelet were good. Apparently there is more than one location in Manhattan. The inside reminded me of a classic diner. Comfy and with a pretty cool vibe. We all slid into a booth and looked over the seasonal offerings along with their standard menu. I was lured by the chicken Kyiv based on the picture of having two rolled up chicken cutlets stuffed with dill and other yumminess, but was a bit disappointment when it arrived with a single small cutlet on my plate with two heaping mounds of potatoes mash and broccoli. I instantly had regret when I should have gotten the borscht soup with pierogies, but wanted to try something I wouldn't usually. I should've stuck to what was safe. My work mom got the stuffed cabbage and that was a clear homerun- really loved the mushroom gravy that it came with. My other colleague got the potato pancake and wasn't too thrilled with it, while my boss got the two Swedish meatballs that he described to be Ikea worthy. Although this was my first time here, I can't say that anyone really loved the food nor would come out of their way to come back. I really was hoping this would have wow-ed me in some way, but I guess I'll stick to what's familiar.

A friend and I each got a soup to start our meal, along with sharing a Potato Pancake. The Matzoh Ball Soup and Potato Pancake were good, but not great. However, I enjoyed the Pork & Cabbage Soup enough to take home a quart. For entree, we shared a Deluxe Meat Plate that was quite delicious. All three pierogi flavors were great, but the short rib was my favorite, followed closely by the mushroom & sauerkraut. I also really enjoyed the grilled kielbasa, but sadly it was served at room temperature. Lastly, the stuffed cabbage is not usually my thing, yet I liked this version. Once again, it was served barely warm. Thankfully, we finished on a high note. My friend really wanted the Challah Bread Pudding, which was moist and tasty. However, the lovely waitress advised us strongly to try the Medovyk. This Ukrainian layered honey cake had a wonderful texture, not too creamy or sweet, with a great walnut flavor. We were extremely happy with her suggestion. We also really liked the diner vibes that felt warm and inviting. This was so close to a five star review. The main reason for the deduction was the temperature of our food being served. Hopefully that problem will be solved on my next visit.
