Grilled octopus appetizer with red onion capers and tomatoes

Lovely backyard patio suited our large group as did the food and service. We had a multitude of apps spreads , hummus , spanakopita, gigantes (in tomato sauce with feta) and only had room for a tasty arugula and fig salad and a small portion of our communal shared baklava Altogether a pleasant celebration accompanied by bottles of prosecco and white and red Greek wine

Simply greek Made reservations for a Sunday Brunch - - they asked if we wanted to sit inside or out back - - we chose inside, we needed the nice cool a/c. Service was very friendly and helpful, even came out to ask if I had questions about ingredients, preparation, etc... not only did the menu have asterisks next to the gluten free options, there were so many choices! Their fryer is gluten free and they cook with olive oil, not butter. Took me awhile, but I narrowed down my order to hummus with gluten free pita and fried calamari - - all delicious. The bathroom is down stairs. Looks like it is street parking around there so might have to hunt around.

What a fabulous night! Between the tranquil outdoor terrace, the convenient location, the top notch staff who demonstrated the highest level of service and attention to detail, and the perfectly prepared food that just melted in our mouths, we were blown away. The best Greek in Brooklyn.

Ooooh, so that is why the food is so good! Simply Greek is a restaurant I used to frequent when I lived in New Jersey, and now that I see they have a location in Park Slope I am even more excited because the food is still really good. Everything tastes fresh and the portions are fairly generous, for Park Slope standards. I liked the complementary pita and olives as they help make what you are about to eat more digestible, considering dairy, a large part of the Greek cuisine, is hard on most peoples' stomachs. It is hard to find a bad food item as all of it looks tasty. I got myself the lemon chicken soup and was very impressed with the lighter flavor of this soup, that has good chunks of chicken and carrots. The lemon carries a nice note of tang. This is not a heavy soup even though most restaurants go heavy on the eggs to thicken the broth. Yes, I am looking at you Pitharia. For my entree I got the Lamb Burger. Take it from me, do not get this more cooked than medium. Overcooking lamb makes the meat dry, tough, and rubbery. This is not ground beef. Medium is the highest you want to go for this cut. Therefore it still retains plenty of flavor when you have it, and the lamb just melts in your mouth after that first bite. My server was great too. She was attentive and made sure I had a great experience. It was a little on the pricey side, but worth it for the tasty food and good vibes. I also can appreciate it is not too far from the Union Street stop on the R train or the 4th Ave/9th Street stop on the F/G/R lines. Just like the sister locations in New Jersey, I recommend and hope to come back here soon.

Amazing Greek Food! The food as well as the establishment as a whole is incredible! Our hostess was super nice and extremely attentive. The service was also spot on and all the food came out in a timely manner. Really great spot to grab lunch with a friend if you're in the area and want something delicious and healthy.

Real Greek beverages! Epsa Sour Cherry drink

It's rare that I find a restaurant with a drink I've never tried before. I love sodas and I look for new and interesting ones whenever I travel. Simply Greek offers Greek beverages right here in New York City, no travel required. Epsa Sour Cherry Drink - a Greek beverage - was an unexpected discovery on the menu last night. I decided to try it, along with a few other items. The kabobs - Simply Greek has some of the best lamb kabobs in the area ! The spices are so delicious & fresh. And not greasy either. I ordered takeout and was pleasantly surprised by the high quality of the items. Eggplant dip - Also excellent. Not your typical eggplant dip, the vegetables really shine through. Love the fresh cucumbers & lemon. Everything here is fresh. The food is packed with flavor and texture. The kabobs were average in size but the dessert was large. Again, I love that their menu includes imported Greek beverages to go with the food. Really transforms the dining experience into something exciting and new. Simply Greek is an asset to the area, restaurants come and go but I hope they are around for a long time.

    Chicken Souvlaki Platter ($30)

Really kind service! There was one worker who is always ready to pour us more water. Our meal came with complimentary olive bread, and it was my first time having actual olives in my bread. This bread was what got me gravitating towards olive oil anything now. The same goes for their amazing Greek salad, which I think was a side. Something is in their juicy sweet tomatoes, they were so good. Our actual dishes we ordered were ok. The Branzino ($32) was well flavored, a little salty here and there. I had gotten this from the raving review on this fish, but it unfortunately didn't have the same effect on me. I had better Chicken Souvlaki Platter ($30). This one was not only pricey, but the chicken was more on the charred side. The place felt so cozy with sweet service, but the food is overpriced.

Cute Greek restaurant with really friendly service. I have to say I'm definitely bias because I lived in Astoria for several years and the best, most authentic Greek food is there. Simply Greek doesn't compare to the scene there, but it's a pleasant experience. Food was fine, atmosphere was good. To start we shared the dolmades and the assorted spreads. Spreads were really good, dolmades were okay. Next came the saganaki which is a must, it was probably my favorite dish of the night. The beet salad was huge and fresh but slightly plain. I always order grilled octopus in Greek restaurants so I got it here. It was fine. Missing lemon. My husband had the chicken souvlaki platter and there was so much meat. I liked the chicken but the true stars were the fries. We had the special Moscow mule and it was one of the best mules I've had. Chocolate mousse for dessert was good as well.

For healthy seafood options, Simply Greek is great place in the neighborhood. My favorite was the grilled calamari - it was so fresh and the lemon squeezed on top enhanced all the flavors of the spices. The red snapper had micro greens and was served over a large bed of lentils mixed with carrots in a balsamic glaze.

Friendly and prompt service with tasty food. They have a few tables outside that have plastic barriers between them too which is nice. I loved that they brought out pita bread and olives at the beginning - both were very good. I ordered the lamb rotisserie gyro sandwich and it was tasty although I feel it could have been a little more saucy - maybe I am used to more tzatziki on a gyro or something. Still, a minor observation and not a huge deal. The lamb was well seasoned and the bread was good. The rice on the side was tasty as well. Good service from Jocelyn and a male staff member as well.

Simply Greek is my go to for consistent Greek food on 5th ave. Portions are generous and fresh. I always go for the chicken swarma, lemon potatoes and salad. The space decor is refined and clean. Service is welcoming and attentive. Highly recommended.

This food came super quick. on the site, a delivery time of 75-90 minutes was shared. I honestly feel like it came in 45 minutes or less. My sister was hesitant about ordering here due to the lack of reviews and photos but As a self proclaimed filterer of restaurants of Yelp, I knew there was something good abt this place. (only highlighting partial parts of order due to brevity) I decided on the mixed platter convo with chicken and lamb and was eating that jawn for 3 days. It came with lots of food. The meats were seasoned very well. Not dry but oh so tender. I had both fleshy and the fatty parts of the lamb! Our large order also came with greek salad - green oeppers, raw onions, olives, feta cheese, likkle romaine. The dessert was also ordered; Greek donuts and this dessert with pistachios and a yogurt layer-all very good and fresh. This food so good that i'm having flashbacks of both my food travels in Greece as well as this meal. I may be having greek again today .

These feel like the chicken tikka masala or general tso's of Greek food and I know there's a universe of dishes I've yet to try. But these dishes are delicious and I will keep ordering them. I visited at around 10pm on a Saturday night to find the place about half full, with fun decor and white lights that felt way too bright for the time of night. The lights made it feel like they were catering more to a family friendly crowd than for a nightlife crowd, which I suppose makes some sense for Park Slope. Despite the place sitting half empty, our server didn't show up to fill our glasses or ask for our orders for quite some time, and I saw the manager talking to the staff about something gone awry. Our food also took quite a bit to arrive. The saganaki and octopus and beans dishes were stand outs and executed with aplomb. The shrimp and swordfish skewers and spinach rice were quite plain and I would have gladly skipped these dishes had I known. I didn't have a good sense of portions and I wish the server would have guided us a bit more, as we definitely over ordered. While I won't be back, it was a perfectly serviceable meal for the area.

It's super cozy inside, and they also give you pillows to sit on. Our server was really friendly and gave us great recommendations. We ordered a few different things to share for our party of two: - Bacon wrapped dates (5/5) so good!!! - Short ribs (5/5) I actually don't usually eat beef but these were so good and not dry. The orzo on the side also balanced it out well. - Kale salad (5/5) This seemed like a simple salad but it was so yummy and dressed well. The pine nuts tasted good with this too! - Vegan fruit sundae (2/5) Sadly this was the only thing that missed the mark. I didn't like the raisins and the almonds didn't really work well with everything but that was just me. The sorbet was also pretty sour. The best thing about this was the white cream on top (it tasted like real cream)
