Cute little breakfast and lunch place! And for us Jeep fans, free ducks! My girlfriend and I loved the breakfast burritos!

We looked up this place the night before and thought this was a perfect spot to take our toddler for breakfast. They had a great menu and the inside was bright and filled with people. They offer a duck at the end of your meal so our daughter was able to pick one out. Great food that came out hot and fast!

The Basics: Sugar N' Spice has a nice retro feel and can be a fun environment for breakfast/brunch, but unfortunately I would not return due to the long wait times, slow service, and poor food quality. Things I like: I enjoyed the retro-style of the restaurant and they let you pick out a rubber duck at the end of your meal which is a fun touch. Things I didn't like: When I visited I was in a party of eight people. We understood we would wait awhile for a table to accommodate the whole group. We were told we would sit in about 35 minutes and we ended by being seated in about 50 minutes. However, once we were seated they separated us into two tables. This was confusing considering many parties that arrived after us and were seated before us were tables of four which we ended up being split into anyway. After waiting 50 minutes for a table, we expected to be seated together. The service was also unusually slow. It took 30 minutes for us to get waters and mimosas and another 40 minutes or so to get our food. Additionally, when our food was delivered multiple items were not there which we had to ask for. The food quality was also not the best. The food was fine for the most part, but the scrambled eggs I received were very cold and the sausage patties were burnt. This meal as a whole took over two hours between the wait time and the service. Overall, I would not return to this restaurant. A party being seated separately after waiting nearly an hour was disappointing and the service and food quality also made this a frustrating experience.

Good, no-frills place for breakfast. Tasty meal and good value for what you're getting--exactly what you'd expect. We had pancakes and the steak Philly omelet. Chloe, our server, took great care of us.

The food was delicious, and the service was good, the ambiance was so cute it looked like an adorable 50's dinner. We enjoyed ourselves here.

We checked out Sugar n' Spice and had a great experience from start to finish. When we arrived, we were told there was a 45-minute wait, but since we had our grandson with us, the hostess offered three seats at a second bar in the back. It was bright, clean, and felt more like a workspace for the staff than a seating area, but it worked out perfectly. The whole place had a classic '50s diner feel--crisp, shiny, and welcoming. Once our grandson realized his stool spun 360 degrees, he was all in. The staff seemed happy to have us there too, stopping to chat and making him feel like part of the crew. One waitress, wearing a University of Cincinnati sweatshirt, sealed the deal when he spotted her and gave the "Oohhhh, ohhhh... U.C.!" rally cry. From that moment on, he was the unofficial mascot of the morning. Food-wise, he ordered his own pancakes, sausages, and, of course, more sausages. My wife and I went with the traditional breakfasts--I had the Meat Lovers Platter, which looked incredible. I can't tell you how the sausage link tasted, because my grandson swiped it as soon as the plate hit the table, but based on his reaction, I'd say it was a winner. Everything else was spot-on, so I'm guessing the sausage was too. Highly recommend Sugar n' Spice--the food was great, the staff was even better, and the whole experience felt warm and welcoming. If you go, check their hours--they're a brunch place and don't stay open much past 2 p.m. Get there early, and if you're feeling it, order a mimosa or a "Bloody Maria!" (just ask yer server, you'll see...

Classic diner vibe. Food was as expected. Service was disappointing having to wait for multiple items that were served separately from the dish they were supposed to be plated with.

Nice diner for an amazing meal. Very friendly staff and cool looking decor. Food came out fast. Fed a family of four for under $50. Win for us. I recommend the spicy burrito. The salsa was amazing. Go and try. You won't regret it!

Massively disappointing. Will not be back as both food and service was not good. Many better options available.

They had parking, and although they were full on reservations, 2 spots at the bar opened up and we grabbed them happily! First, the food was FANTASTIC! I had the Willy Burger and my husband had the fried bologna sandwich and we both loved what we ordered and vice versa. The sauce on the burger was phenomenal! The drink menu was extensive and looked so good but we were in a bit of a hurry and I'm 6 months pregnant so we settled for waters. Second, the service was excellent. Everyone was so kind and helpful. The ambience was great, I loved the big open garage door and patio seating they offered. The decor was so cute! We are bummed that brunch reservations for tomorrow are full, but we will absolutely be back!

Wobbly table, several groups were there. (I guess service guest service is a dying profession) ? I don't understand why a restaurant resorts to plastic cups from Pepsi or paper napkins? Prices don't reflect that. Sorry I digress Service was slow and she forgot our order, eh? No suggestions for menu options or anything. We chose fried green tomatoes and deviled eggs. Oil for fgtom tastes old. Not delicious eggs with ok. Service is sloppy slow. ( do I keep the fork I used for tomatoes for my entree? I'm at a wobbly table, service is slow and you had to ask for drinks silver ware. I had the 2 piece dark chicken. Good but really spicy and I like spice but this is extremely intense. The Charlie Brown entre was a lot of melted cheese and burnt bacon.our guests had the shrimp and the salmon. It was so loud, screaming across the table loud and there were all of 8 people besides us. My chicken would have been good if it weren't so overbred and over spicy. I had to ask for more beverages. I just don't understand how a restaurant that charges these prices and is mediocre. Paper napkins tv everywhere and not on LOUD, outdoor tables and no cloth. Service that connects with the patrons. This is not greyhound or tousey house. . WHAT KIND OF PLACE IS THIS. Overpriced and cut the attitude with a machete. Many restaurants do exactly the same menu and well. Purple Poulet is one

I do realize it is a chain but so far they have nailed all the prerequisites of what they need to be a successful chain in my opinion. Definitely recommended to get reservations the day before as I don't believe they take reservations the day of. Ambiance is friendly and warm and service has always been really good! The food is the big highlight though. The food here is just plain amazing. The main course of chicken to all of the side dishes they have. The spoon bread to the sweet potatoes to the mac and cheese, it's all good. It is definitely one of the big reasons we go there. Looking forward to coming back again soon! Bring a big appetite.

I ordered immediately as I was late at 9 PM for dinner. I got the three piece dark with sides of Mac and cheese which came with biscuit, and green beans. Everything tasty enough, and the fried chicken was juicy and honestly fine without the honey. The spicy honey which was in a glass ramekin, was pretty good. As oft said, "I put that sh*t on everything -- so I tried it with the Mac and cheese and it was noticeably better. All in all, pretty good experience here and will rate it 3.5/5 overall.

Everything is seasoned perfectly, cooked right, and served hot. The fried fish was crispy and flavorful, the mac and cheese was rich and comforting, the greens tasted like they came straight out of someone's family kitchen, and the candied yams were sweet and done just right. It's the kind of plate that reminds you why Southern cooking is so special. But what really stood out to me wasn't just the food. It was the customer service. In most places, you either get incredible food with average service, or great service with food that's just okay. Southern Grace somehow manages to deliver both at a very high level. From the moment you walk in, you're treated with genuine kindness and respect. The staff is welcoming, attentive, and you can tell they actually care about the experience they're giving their customers. I have to make a special mention to one of the team members LaDon for his exceptional professionalism. That kind of consistency between food quality and customer service is rare. It makes the entire experience feel personal rather than transactional. If you're looking for authentic Southern food paired with top-tier hospitality, Southern Grace is absolutely worth the visit. Places like this remind you what real customer service is supposed to feel like.

The Goetta is a regional dish popular to the area comprised of sausage and potato fried like a smash burger. It was packed full of flavor and was nice and crispy. A must get was the biscuit and gravy. Unlike the southern style which is usually thick and creamy, this has amazing seasoning, plenty of the sausage crumble, and rich texture. The biscuit underneath was soft and savory and paired very well in this dish. The filet and eggs were perfectly cooked and had good flavor. There were a lot of diced potatoes on the plate to enjoy which was also well seasoned and crispy. Lastly the big easy omelette was very good. I do like the fact it was plated on top of a piece of toast. The biscuit and gravy along with the omelette gave a very strong New Orleans feeling. The cocktails also hit their mark. Local distillery Riff was the maker of the bourbon for the mule. I'm not sure of their lineup but it compared to Bulleit Bourbon. Very stable in the cocktail without being overpowering. The hard truth was a coffee with a punch and a great way to start a vacation morning. The restaurant was deceptively large from its outward appearance. There is lots of seating available and the tables moved swiftly. The large garage style doors allowed for full fresh air circulation and opens the brightness from the natural lighting. Being a corner location they were able to maximize on the opened interior dining experience. Overall 4.7 out of 5

The place is small and had a very weird vibe between fine dining and kitschy. White tablecloths, but then lots of purple and pictures of roosters everywhere (I realize the name, but hmmm). Our server was lovely but would disappear for too long between times when she should have been present. We ordered our drinks at 745pm, and I watched them sit at the end of the bar. Finally, at 805pm, I went to the bartender and said, "those are our drinks that have been sitting there for a while". Our server brought them over like we ordered them 5 minutes prior. But the lovely owner/manager came over and said the "drinks are on me" because we waited so long. We appreciated that! The fried chicken was good, but the breading was very salty. The green beans were almost inedible because they were so salty. The mashed potatoes were average. The biscuits were fantastic. The fried deviled eggs were okay. A regular deviled egg is better. The shrimp and grits had a lot going on. The shrimp was lightly battered and fried (?) and the flavor of the dish was bold. I think sauteed shrimp and a little less gravy would make it perfect.
