Wow, went to update my review only to find out if never posted my original review. Trendy place with good food. It gets busy, so either be prepared to wait or go early. It isnt exactly a quiet place, but the food and service are top notch!

Bloody Mary & the Stowaway Kitchen's Oyakodon Bowl

This was a very unusual place, but excellent nonetheless. Service was excellent. The food was very unique and excellent as well. They're only open for breakfast and lunch and they close at three I think so you better check. I usually don't drink, but I wanted to try their Bloody Mary, and of course, it was excellent as well spicy and good. For my lunch, I got the Oyakodon Bowl with scrambled eggs & spinach. This was very unique and excellent as well. They have a lot of vegetarian dishes and only maybe four dishes that have meat in them and it was chicken. Still it was excellent.

Amazing breakfast. Interesting and totally different kind of menu. Great service. Simple design that appreciates art and culture inside.

Service was amazing. Our server was super friendly, had great conversations with us, and kept checking in. 9/10. The vibe is casual with a cute cafe feel. 8.5/10. The yuzu waffles were the standout. Easily one of the best waffles I've had. The sourdough base with the yuzu cream had the perfect level of sweetness, and the texture and flavor were really unique compared to a typical waffle. 9.5/10. The chicken karaage sando was solid. It reminded me of a Chick-fil-A style sandwich but a bit more elevated. 7.5/10. The matcha latte was high quality, earthy, and not sweet. 7.7/10.

We came here for brunch before going on a hike. I had read the reviews and was excited for this place. There was a bit of a wait when we got there, but I came in thinking that every great place that is worth it with great food always has a wait. The server was really friendly. However, I was not too impressed with the food. I got the salmon and it just tasted very bland.

This cute brunch spot is a warm, cozy hug with Japanese flair. It's easy to miss from the outside, but the aura points for inside decor are off the charts. Made a reservation for 3 on a weekend and we were seated pretty quickly. Tables were consistently full and staff pretty busy, but the seats are spaced out enough that you don't feel like sardines. This is a place to find zen amongst the neutral and cool earth tones while eating food that is both nourishing and tasty. Food is all made to order in the tiny kitchen in back with generous portion sizes. I do recommend ordering a drink and pastries to nibble on while you wait for your entree. We loved the dishware and intentional presentation of each dish. Even the Aeropress coffee came in a beautiful ceramic carafe - although it was a little misleading given the actual quantity of coffee. Staff was super friendly and never made us feel rushed. The menu changes with seasonal themes and produce. Exhibit A, the Spooky Donuts with the cutest glazed spider donut hole on top. Donut was just alright, but we did really enjoy the sesame chocolate glaze. Exhibit B, Autumn Beans with pickled apricots and carrots that we saw being brought in fresh by one of the staff. The colors in each dish are vibrant and wholesome, with gentle seasoning. I often hate myself after eating a big brunch of skillets and waffles - not so here, where I was comfortably full without being nauseous from grease.

Japanese fusion done right. Such cool variety on their menu, and great service, too. Clearly a place for foodies.

We had a nice time at Stowaway. The server told us they had been there 10 years. There no signage out front so it was a little hard to find. The food was decent, it spectacular. The Japanese asa-gohan had great ingredients but it was dry and lacked flavor. It needed sauce. They make a Bloody Mary with mezcal- it was interesting and delicious if you like smoky. My friend liked the waffle but said it was too much sweet on sweet and needed something salty like bacon to balance it out. Sadly, they don't have bacon. The place was cute and people were very friendly. Parking can be a challenge.

Cute hip location that blends brunch with Japanese style. I got: Apple and cheddar scone - tasty! Not super flavorful but fluffy Tomato panzanella salad - so good! The croutons were amazing Oyako-don - also so good! Highly recommend

Spring pea tartine, oyakodon, plum basque cheesecake waffle

Interesting menu and all our dishes we ordered were really good. Highly recommend getting spinach with the oyakodon. Also recommend the waffle - super crispy and chewy and plum sauce elevated it. Interior is super cute and aesthetic. Felt very Bay Area or atleast my Bay Area Mom in the best way (Rancho Gordo beans and einkorn sourdough waffles).

The service was great, the vibes were high, the food was delish! What else could you need? Y'all this was literally the best waffle I've ever had! The subtle salt on it is a game changer. Make sure to order one for the table to share. I really loved all the art they had displayed through out the restaurant. The coffee and donut were just * okay * to me but everything else was great!

We walked in on Friday and unfortunately it was about to be 2PM and they couldn't seat us. (Sooooooooo sad) but a gentleman approached us and said that he could make a reservation for us for the next day. (That was really nice to offer) the next day we came one and all i have to say is this is how my favorite restaurant. The food was spectacular! The autumn beans had so much flavor it was incredible! The drinks were fantastic and the service was amazing. The whole vibe from the food to the atmosphere was amazing. I will be a regular here because it's really really really worth it.

LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! Diverse menu options, excellent drinks, and fast service any time of day. Stowaway is the perfect casual brunch spot but also works great for a mid day snack/bevie. I love this place for taking friends from out of town because the food is fantastic and there's so much to see in the nearby neighborhood. Cannot recommend stowaway enough!

I made a reservation on…read moreOpenTable, and I ended up needing to increase the number of people to 8 a few days before the reservation. Accommodating our party was no problem. My mom, who usually scoffs at fancy restaurants and their fancy prices, absolutely loved her $10 ginger sunrise juice drink (I made her get it) and said that her sweet corn eggs benedict ($19) was one of the best things she's ever eaten. Our server Julie did an amazing job taking care of our party, some of whom arrived on time and some of whom didn't. The 20% large party gratuity was well-earned. I loved that the restaurant being connected to the hotel meant that the lobby was a beautiful space for those of us who got there early to gather and for us to all chat before we went our separate ways. Many of us were enthralled by the Moët & Chandon vending machine in the lobby, as well as the super cool "fire in a glass box" art piece. I had the $19 chicken philly skillet, which was tasty, but my family members who got the $29 steak and eggs knew what they were doing. My husband, who is incredibly picky about bacon, thought his $6 side of bacon with his $18 buttermilk pancakes was perfectly cooked and not overly seasoned. Thinking about this family meal makes my heart smile. Thanks to the Corinne staff for making it delightful.

This is a fine spot in a hotel downtown, sure, but yikes the pricing was totally out of control!!!…read more Brunch, you know simple cheap stuff like eggs and potatoes, was $130 for TWO people. I don't think I've ever spent more on brunch in my life. Yeah, we got a couple drinks, too. Thank goodness it was my partner's bday and we got the dessert for free. A fine place, but be ready to thin your wallet if you choose it! I wouldn't go again for that reason. I'd find another brunch spot where I can spend $100 or less. Which is still A TON for brunch!!! Restaurants complain so much about business, but then price it to the point where they get less business. What's gotta give? Hotels have the luxury of being more expensive since they have people staying & paying on the company dollar. But, I didn't pick the spot, and I got a bougiea$$ partner! Lol.

Location (4 stars) This restaurant is downtown near the convention center. parking is pricy if you valet park at the hotel. Last year it was around $40. Parking in the lot across the street for $25 dollars Easter Sunday. If you use a walker, I would not recommend the parking lot across the street. Food (3 Stars) The Thanksgiving buffet is the best one. I would rate that buffet a (4). The Christmas and Easter buffet are pretty low key. There is a carving station (ham and prime rib). There is an omelet station. Dessert bar is decorative. Cheesecake was delicious. The warming station with potatoes, sausage etc. leaves much to be desired. The charcuterie station is sparse. They offer unlimited mimosas for an additional $25. Service (5 stars) Staff are extremely friendly. Cleanliness (2 stars) My only complaint, I saw a tabletop being cleaned off with a rag used to clean the chairs and then under the table on the floor and on to the next tabletop. I'm just a little picky about that. Especially since folks these days go commando and wear short attire, and you know their parts are on the chair and now spread to tabletops. Wiping up the crumbs off the floor with same rag simply through me over the edge. Atmosphere (4 stars) Spacious uncrowded environment. Nice decor. Bright with large windows.
