Burger was not fully up to par. I ordered the pobrecito with no onions since it clearly states there are onions. Respectfully, for 8$ I would appreciate when I ask for no onions for there to be no onions. Ended up trying to eat it but the texture threw me off so I threw it away half eaten. Bummer. I really want to like this place but both times I have come to grab breakfast they have managed to get my order wrong. The first time we didn't get either of the breakfast sandwiches we ordered and didn't realize the mistake on their part until we got home. We figured it was just growing pains as they had only been open for a short time. I gave it some time before going back again. Unfortunately that didn't work out either. At least I got the correct breakfast sandwich this time but it was missing the egg, which is a main component of a breakfast sandwich and the bagel was burnt. There are many better options downtown if I want to spend $12 for a breakfast sandwich. Hopefully I'll get the egg next time. read more

I really want to love this place because I heard good things about it. Unfortunately, it has not once lived up to its hype or price. I've tried both a breakfast and a burger meal not too long ago. For the breakfast, I was shocked at how many items weren't in stock fairly early in the morning. It wasn't particularly busy at the time but maybe it was busier before I arrived? Or is it the owner not being prepared enough, you know? My food finally gets to me and the sandwich was not even close to being in one cohesive piece. The guy with the glasses in the kitchen (I think I overheard someone call him Steve?) seemed to be too busy flirting with his women employees to focus on the presentation of my meal. So that was cool :))) Then there was the burger and fried plantains. Ya'll I was so excited for this meal. Not only was that the greasiest burger I've ever consumed (literally dripping oil all over my hand...gross!) but it was just ok. It was tasty once I got past the diabetes I was giving myself, but I can and HAVE gotten a healthier, yummier, and more affordable burger at In-N-Out. And the fried plantains. WOW. I miss Stoops. I was of course going to try out a place that had the name Stoop in it. I almost used the word Stoop in my business ventures plus I have a hilarious kiddo school story about Stoops from teacher pre-retirement days. This place brands bagels, bagel sandwiches, and I guess from what I hear, a fantastic kick A burger. Today, I stopped by for just a bagel and Schmear since I had already had lunch. It was pretty good. i got the everything bagel with Bacon Jam Jelly. The bagel was strong so I could not really taste the jam Cream Cheese too much. Next time I will try on a plainer bagel. The only thing I have to comment on is I wish they had more bagel choices but I get it is a small space. They only have three types and one of them is a type of bagel I dislike in general. I have been aching to try Stoop Kid for the longest time but never got the opportunity until recently. If you're not familiar with the downtown area, it could be difficult to find as it's in a complex called The Churchill where there are numerous places to eat and chill. The Stoop Kid is a small burger joint in this complex but the burger itself is something that needs to be talked about more. I got the Stoop burger and it had tons of flavor and was really juicy. Probably the top 5 best burger I've had and probably the best burger I've had in a while. They aren't the biggest burgers but definitely a burger you can easily eat 1 or 2 at a time if you really wanted to. The service was also great and there wasn't really much of a wait so that is always nice. It is an open environment located near other restaurants and bars so you can easily try others places too if you'd like. Stoop Kid is a place I'd be coming back to pretty often. This place is awesome! So far I've tried the regular bagel with the honey cream cheese and the Cash Money. The bagels are the perfect texture, the right amount of soft and chewy. I believe they are locally made nearby since I saw someone delivering them fresh this morning as I got there right when they opened. The honey cream cheese reminds me of a Cinnabon and I highly recommend if you're craving a sweet breakfast. The Cash Money bagel sandwich has eggs, tomato and some amazing sauces that sounded weird in the description but I was very impressed with how tasty they were. Recently ate there as some friends of mine were having a small gathering for a birthday. The burger was excellent! I was hesitant as the patty was pretty much smashed but once I took a bite I was surprisingly pleased with the quality. The ratio of toppings and meat were actually on par and they were fresh. My biggest complaint on a burger are the soggy toppings brown lettuce etc which this burger did not have. I also enjoyed some tater tots which had a wonderful crisp to them! The only downer was the lack of drink choices but I suppose that since it is located near a bar and most are into new age canned drinks this is why. I was able to grab a sprite at the bar to wash it all down so overall I was happy! the burger was priced at around 10$ and they had some new options to try as well. But an oldy but goody is great for me. The seating area is nice and well ventilated and there are games that can be played after eating as it is located in a court yard setting. Stoop Kid is the perfect addition to downtown Phoenix! I have gone a number of times already since they opened, and I tried both breakfast bagels and the burgers. Starting with the bagels, the Money Shot is by far the best breakfast bagel sandwich I've had. I drool just thinking of it! If you want something simple, the bagels with shmear is great. The honey shmear is not too sweet, it is perfect. The Stoop Burger melts in your mouth and is very filling. I recommend a lot of napkins though. It is very juicy! Overall, this is one of my favorite places to open up this year, and I hope they do very well. One last tip... go earlier rather than later in the day for bagels. They serve the breakfast items until sold out, but they sell out fast! read more

if you're looking for a really good burger, this is the place. everything was so good. the buns, the meat, the cheese, the grilled onions, and i love their choice of pickles. while ordering i was skeptical of the sauce, but once i took a bite, it was a perfect burger. a downside is they don't sell soda, but it's no big deal to me. they help support their neighboring bar who sells soda. overall super great place. read more

I politely asked if I could order a "pobrecito" The short half brunette half blonde girl at the counter just looks at me and says "nope" I said "oh okay, why not?" She replied with "we don't do that til 12" I apologize and let her know it's my first time here. I'm still waiting for my sandwich but if you're going to "cool guy" me on my first visit I'm sure I can get just as good of a burger or breakfast sandwich somewhere else in town.
