I had the French dip sandwich with any and horseradish. The sauces were great and the bread was soft and pillowy, but the meat was chewy in some parts where large pieces of meat would come out. I also had the garlic breadsticks where some were burnt and some were perfectly cooked. Lastly, their creamed corn...it was good, but I've had better. I prefer it over at Gus's in Claremont. We had a big retirement party with , I'm told 68 people. I recommended STONEFIRE because I've always had a positive experience in the past. This time I'm sad to say the quality of food waS awful. The chicken was undercooked, the Mac and cheese was dry, the mashed potatoes had no flavor, and the salad dressing just didn't taste good. Everyone has a bad day, but it's frustrating to see it happen on a send off day for one oof our coworkers. I talkEd to roughly a dozen people after they all agreed the food was a massive disappointment. No one thought it was good. I don't know whaT else to say. STONEFIRE has always been good. The service here is exceptional along with the food! I love that their carry out is efficient as well and they offer everything from alcohol to desserts. Wanted to give a shout-out to the employee with the heart tattoo on his wrist for treating me so professional even when i was having a bad day. He went out of his way to make sure i got everything i ordered and was courteous the whole time. you deserve a raise!!! Dine in is super convenient to as you can grab your own utensils and condiments. The takeout boxes are hidden under the condiments as well! I do have to mention The carrot cake!!! Man my wife and I were introduced to this restaurant 6 years ago and we have been coming to stonefire grill since then we love their salmon garlic dish and their garlic mashed potatoes they are awesome. And the barbecue sauce is incredible. I have been there for my birthday and special occasions we have a great time I love to watch them cook because I could see through the window where the cooks are cooking it's awesome. Sometimes the parking can be a little difficult because so many people love to come to the restaurant and so the parking is full which is a good thing. read more

I ordered my food via phone for curbside pick up at 4:33PM and was told they would call me when it was ready. I've never heard of calling back for curbside pickup and had some errands to run on that side of town so I asked how I long it would be and was told about 40 minutes. Arrived at the restaurant at 5:35PM, called the pick up number and was hung up on. Called back at 5:37PM, waited on hold ~10 minutes to then be told it would be another 20 minutes. When I asked about the delay the person got frustrated with me and hung up! It is now 6:14PM and I just got my food. Horrible service!! [UPDATE] My food was ice cold when I got home. I really enjoy the fact that you can still order the Stimulus package even though it's not an advertised special! This package is amazing because it feeds between 3-5, if not 6 people!!! The roasted chicken was delicious, both the bbq and the lemon pepper. The tri tip wasn't super flavorful, but it was delicious with the blue cheese side. Caesar salad was mid, breadsticks were pretty good. The restaurant style is order at the front and seat yourself, and they bring your food to your table. So I'll start of by saying my girlfriend was beyond pleased and over joyed. I on the other hand was not very pleased. The service when I went inside to get my online order could of been better. Even though I was in line next I was skipped and had to wait longer than the site said to get my food. Come to the hotel to find out we didn't get utensils or napkins. The food over was was very good my steak was undercooked but that wouldn't be huge issue if I got the sauce I ordered. So, I want to update my review. Came here this evening to pick up food from curb side pick up. Thank God there was parking in the designated curb side pick up area. This young lady comes to help me named Raniesha OMG She was super sweet, very professional and made sure I had EVERYTHING I asked for. I am one of those extra, extra folks. I need extra dressing, extra cheese, etc. I cannot tell you how many times I come here and even though I ask for extra over the phone and inform them that I will pay for my extra, I never get until the person comes out being gay my food and has to go back in and get it. This young lady was amazing. You guys need to hire more folks like her. On to the food.. too bad she didn't cook the food at least that way I know it would be cool. I'm doing keto so I couldn't eat the breadsticks or garlic mashed potatoes but no one in my house complained so I guess they were up to par. The Caesar Salad which is my favorite was the bomb as usual. The Tri Tip which I asked to be WELL, WELL done was absolutely Not. The Margarita pizza was whack. Ordered online to go and came about 30 minutes later to scoop up the food. Was greeted by Kai who was very friendly, nice, pleasant, warm, and caring. He immediately asked if I had been helped and when I replied no, he proceeded to assist me. He went over the items I ordered and when I asked what was in the cookie that was at the counter over, he explained it with such depth and great detail that I knew I had to have it. He was very nice and cool to the other patrons. I could tell that he really enjoys working with people. He is very fast and efficient. I get Stonefire occasionally and when I do I always get the stimulus package with half tri tip, pepperoni/mushroom pizza, bbq chopped salad, and 8 breadsticks. This totals to around $35. I also get a side of mashed potato (about $6 for a shareable size). This could definitely feed 4 people so it's a large amount of food! The food itself, however, is just decent. But that's what I expected from a chain restaurant so I knew the food wouldn't be mind blowing haha. Sometimes the tri tip is difficult to chew, and the pizza crust is quite flat. But when I'm craving some American food I just say whatever and order Stonefire for the stimulus package. I've only ordered delivery so I can't speak to the service but overall I think Stonefire is decent and I'll probably order again in a few months. read more

Location/Parking: Located in a huge plaza with lots of parking. Still, it gets very crowded so you might need to park on the far end of the lot. Background: I first visited because of my friend's recommendation. I returned for the second time today because my dad seems to like it. Ambiance: It was very busy today, and they seem to always be busy. The place is big but with all the business they're getting, it makes sense. It can get chaotic at times because the staff are always pacing around. I ordered: Full slab of Baby Back Ribs (4.5/5) - Delicious baby back ribs. My family and I were patrons of Tony Roma's until the majority of them closed down. After that we tried TGIF's but we weren't as impressed. The one's here are very good, and it seems to be one of their specialties too. The ends do tend to be dry but the rest of the ribs are tender. The BBQ sauce is a bit spicier than normal, which I love. You can grab extra BBQ sauce if you'd like. Solid. Tri-tip (4/5) - I ordered half and half of the sauces that you can order on the tri-tips. I disliked the Pepper Garlic w/ Gorgonzola Butter. The Mesquite BBQ one was definitely more flavorful and tastier overall. Yes, the BBQ was good but the ribs are already slathered with BBQ so it made it really hard to eat BBQ flavor after BBQ flavor. The tri-tip itself was cooked nicely and was tender (We asked for it to be cooked Medium). Pretty good. Pesto Pasta (4.5/5) - A very huge portion of good pasta, even though I ordered the Individual portion. I wish we could add chicken or something because the dish is vegetarian. The pesto sauce is also really concentrated. I can normally down a plate of creamy pasta but it was hard for me finish this one. I would recommend sharing the individual portion. Carrot Cake (5/5) - My dad loves carrot cake so we had to try this. The portion is huge. It was $4 for a thick slice, sized something like 5x6x5 inches? My friends call me frugal so I think it's a total steal to get such a huge slice of cake for $4. I also like how it's obvious they use real carrots (Some people seem to be surprised that they use actual carrots in carrot cake, I guess this can be proof for them). I know everyone hates this word but the cake is ~moist~ which is great because no one likes dry cake. Love this. Breadsticks (5/5) - Crisp on the outside, soft on the inside. Warm and ready to eat. Topped with parsley (I think? I don't know my garnishes) and cheese, probably parmesan but I could be wrong. Nothing else you could ask for! Service: The employees are friendly and the food comes out in a timely manner. Most of it is self-service though. My dad seems to be baffled by this but I guess you just have to get used to something different. Grab your own plates, utensils, water, etc. We tipped anyways but honestly, I'm not sure what we're tipping for? The employees only bring out the food, but oh well. Yes there was probably a miss communication. They reached out to me the reason why they ran out of plates and I could see why. My wedding planner who was being proactive had the helper buss the plates early and hence when my guests went up for seconds, there was not enough plates. Overall, communication with the Stone Fire Grill staff was good. The food was delicious and the price to cater a wedding was within our budget and inexpensive and they do pack up your food to go. A great family restaurant with something to satisfy most tastes. Our family loves the BBQ Back Ribs, Mac n Cheese, and their garlicky Caesar Salad. Sometimes we're in the mood for the Tri Tip since the BBQ sauce is perfect, along with pesto pasta, and their southwest salad with grill corn and buttermilk dressing! Amazing experience throughout. I love their breadsticks with their Cesar dressing as a dip. Dulce, our server was so helpful and explained to me there's a membership to save $10 on your first order. The tri-tip did come out more on the rare side, however the servers were able to rectify the problem by making a new order. Oh no we did it again! Ordered for takeout on a busy Sunday night--we were quoted 45 minutes for the wait but it was well worth it!! We opted for the family superfood salad and bbq chopped salad with tri tip as well as a bag of breadsticks!! Again, curbside pickup was very convenient and user friendly. We pulled in and had our food within minutes, and even had a server come check in on us within those 2 minutes when we were waiting for our food. I thought I was sold with the chili lime vinaigrette dressing we ordered with our salad the last time we visited, but the sriracha ranch dressing blew us away! It really gave the salad an extra kick--and it does have that fire as they mention on their website ha! Of course the salads were delicious, filling, and made us feel healthy (haha!) but it was the dressing that really set it apart. Now that we have tried three salads and two dressings, we have our new favorite combo: the south of the border we ordered last time (which has the perfect balance of toppings and lettuce) with the sriracha ranch dressing! So super excited to order this the next time. And of course, the breadsticks were DELICIOUS! Nice and warm and the perfect side of carbs to any meal ;). I didn't care for the marinara sauce that it came with so I might pay that extra 79 cents for the buttermilk ranch next time to see how it pairs. My brother+his family held a birthday lunch for their son (my nephew) at Stonefire Grill Rosemead a couple weeks ago. It was his 15th birthday. My Mom and I were late as usual, but this time it was because we were picking up some pastries + cakes from Porto's West Covina and they were BUSY. When my Mom and I arrived, all the pizzas were gone LOL. That's okay... I don't eat beef anyway. They ordered "The Works" with some adjustments to the items. My sister-in-law knew I didn't eat beef and she also thought I didn't eat chicken either so she ordered me a salmon. It was so very kind of her... thank you S-I-L! I do eat chicken by the way LOL. I thought the chicken was a tad dry IMHO. The salmon was very good, but I didn't care for the sauce that came with it. The salad was decent... it is just a salad LOL. They forgot about our breadsticks... bummer, I hear their breadsticks are pretty good. My S-I-L informed them of the missing breadsticks which was towards the end of our meal... everyone's already stuffed... she ended up getting a pizza to-go in place of breadsticks. We were in the outside patio area. The service was mediocre. I didn't see any staff come around to pick up plates or anything. Maybe I don't know how their system works. Perhaps they wait until the end or something. However, there was a nice gentleman who was clearing the tables opposite of us... he helped us take a group picture. Thank you sir! I've never in my life left a restaurant because of how bad it smelled. I had to sit as far away from the kitchen as possible to avoid the disgusting oil smell that was coming from it. The food tasted mediocre but the smell is what got me to get up and leave, the mashed potatoes were actually good that's why I'm giving it a 2 star and not a 1 star.
