If you know me, you know I've made it my personal mission to highlight every go-to spot in Pasadena and this one absolutely earns its place on the list. We come here to celebrate and we come here when the craving hits and no occasion is needed. Either way, Korean food this good is always a valid reason to show up. The brisket, galbi, and bulgogi are non-negotiables and yes, they cook it right at your table on the grill, which honestly makes the whole experience. You also get Korean side dishes to snack on while everything sizzles, and I always round the table out with steamed egg, japchae, bulgogi tacos, wings, and dolsot bibimbap. The place is clean, spacious, and the staff is genuinely so kind. You leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit.

Soh Grill House is a KBBQ restaurant in downtown Pasadena. It's a bit more upscale, and has a clean aesthetic, but still feels like a warm environment. We liked that there was good ventilation and didn't feel icky after leaving the restaurant. The waiters were really friendly and were willing to accommodate our stroller. We ordered the Lucky Split~pork belly, beef brisket, 2 tofu soups, 2 rice, 2 drinks, and ofc the appetizers. Everything was delicious and there was some leftovers between the two of us. We enjoyed not having to cook because the waiters do it for you wooo.

Absolutely amazing! Quality of the meat is outstanding. The dumpling soup with tofu is so good as well. Our server , Paul is so kind and helpful. New fav spot for sure!

The bulgogi was so good that we ordered a second one and easily ate all of it. The corn cheese was also hella good. I feel like the sides and prices are way better at other kbbq places though so while this was good and definitely satisfied my craving for kbbq I'd just go to ktown.

Y'all, this place is BOMB. The food was amazing, with the service to match it. I don't live anywhere near Pasadena, but I'll be coming back for sure.

We were greeted and sat right away with very friendly staff, and I immediately loved the modern aesthetic and cleanliness of the restaurant. This was the first time that I have had Korean BBQ where the staff cooked it vs. the guest cooking it, and it was a very nice experience. They cooked everything perfectly and so fast. The meat was tender and juice and so flavorful. I especially loved the kimchi pancake and kimchi soup! Everything was bursting with flavor and full of freshness. Each item hit the spot and overall it was a fantastic dining experience!

Soh Grill House completely exceeded my expectations. This was honestly the best meal I've had since moving to the U.S. The flavors were incredibly well-balanced and authentic. Nothing tasted overly salty or greasy -- just clean, rich, and thoughtfully prepared. You can tell there is real attention to detail in the kitchen. The meat quality was outstanding -- tender, juicy, and grilled perfectly. The side dishes were fresh and complemented the main dishes beautifully. It felt like a satisfying, well-rounded meal rather than just dining out. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the service is attentive without being overwhelming. If you're looking for authentic flavors and quality ingredients, this place is absolutely worth visiting. I'll definitely be back.

Our party of 4 plus our dog visited on a Saturday night with a reservation. It was all of our first time at Soh and we did not know what to expect. It's definitely not like most kbbq places where the smoke gets everywhere and you come out stinking of it. The smoke is very well controlled and the restaurant itself doesn't even smell! The meat was cooked for us at our table and it was delicious! I would most definitely return.

We went to Soh Grill House to celebrate our ten-year wedding anniversary, and it ended up being the perfect pick. Most KBBQ places we've been to are either smoky, cramped, or a little grungy--but this one was the total opposite. It's sleek, modern, and surprisingly upscale while still feeling casual and welcoming. We didn't have a reservation, but they seated us pretty quickly, which was a nice surprise. The service was top-tier, with waiters constantly checking in to make sure we were happy with everything. One of my favorite parts was that they cook the meat for you (yay not having to worry about doing that myself), and then they give it a final blast of torch to finish--such a cool touch. Everything was sizzling hot and served at just the right pace. I also loved how I didn't walk out smelling like a campfire. The bulgogi was a standout--sweet, savory, and packed with flavor. Every bite was juicy and satisfying without being overly greasy. The array of side dishes was generous and delicious. Portion sizes were just right--not so much you feel overwhelmed, but enough to leave full and happy.

Really nice food and friendly service. The meat tastes good quality. And the environment is clean and bright

Have been to this place for over a decade. Same high quality meat, friendly service and clean environment. Thanks for being here!!

Brisket and bulgogi, the lucky split

Soh Korean BBQ is the best kqq in Pasadena! Located off of Colorado, easy to commute to. The servers are super friendly and accommodating. The portions are big. The meat and sides are very high quality. They have a variation of Korean beers and even serve cotton candy made in store!!

The menu was large and varied. We settled on a few things to try and wished we could have ordered more. The Greek salad was absolutely delicious. Everything was so fresh, the flavors were perfectly balanced. The chicken breast kabob plate was so generous in its portions, the chicken skewers were huge. The rice was wonderful as was everything else. We also got the egg boat to share and the bread was incredible. We definitely want to go back and try other wood fired items there. I'm sure the pizza is wonderful if it uses the same bread. Pricing on everything was very reasonable considering all the factors. And we had the Adjarian Khachapouri again, because we could not pass up this mouth watering delight. A sumptuous mix of bread, cheese , egg and spices. Services has been hit or miss but never terrible. They get swarmed with customers at meal times, then also every table is asking every server for things which throws them off. Sitting in the back side of the restaurant seems to be when services is off, but with a bunch of guys drinking and eating it's fine. My recommendation to the management. Keep the front half of the restaurant full instead of pushing tables to the far side of the restaurant. Services slows down and the ventilation is loud back there. Most important feedback, the men's room! The sink faucets are jacked up and the pressure sprays water everywhere. The floor is soaked every time I have been there. Easy fix to replace the faucets. Also the paper towel machine is rarely working and needs to be remounted properly. I'd also recommend adding another one. Maybe add a foot or arm handle to open the door, most people are eating things with their hands, Very cheap fixes to get done and enhance the experience.

On the screen it says "food takes 25-30min" I waited 50 min... There were at least 4 people waiting for their orders. Whenever one of us tried to talk to the server and as they were approaching, I could tell she was going to somewhere else like to the kitchen and intentionally tried not to give the eye contact with customers. The customer is next to you how can you not look at them...lol After almost an hour I got my food only to find that pickled radish was spoiled. Luckily I added an extra so it saved me. When I took out the container it was already full of gas and about to explode. When I opened it, smelled horrible like raw food left in the garbage disposal for weeks. (You can see how cloudy the juice is from the picture) Over all, I understand that this location has the worst review among other bb.q chicken in SGV, I'd choose other place next time. Food was good so 3 stars for that.

I only ever order takeout from this location and there's definitely things that could be improved. The location is on busy Colorado so parking is a nightmare. The workers here have absolutely no sense of urgency. Often I've been the only customer picking up and the speed of service could only be described as "meandering" to find and hand me my order. As previously mentioned, there's no issue with the food. It's juicy and flavorful. But there's inconsistencies like sometimes I get the side radish and utensils but other times not at all. The attitude of the workers you interact with are that of someone who has absolutely no pride in their work and are simply tolerating customers. It would go a long way to improve this location if workers were trained to do everything as efficiently and quickly as possible. The cost is also astronomically high for chicken. A whole chicken is $31 before any taxes or fees. It's not competitive with other Korean fried chicken places and you have to imagine part of the cost is due to the location. I would be sad if this branch closed, since it is closest to where I live, but it wouldn't be a shock that it did close. There's a lot of low hanging easy changes that could be made. Better training from management, more local deals, and focusing on customer service.

You can genuinely taste the soul he puts into his food. That said, a few notes come down to personal preference--so if you enjoy it as-is, feel free to take this with a grain of salt. The ribs were incredibly tender--10/10. They were truly fall-off-the-bone. Personally, I would have loved a bit more of that smoky char you get from Texas-style ribs, but that's just my preference. Either way, Rodney clearly knows what he's doing. The potato salad wasn't my favorite. It leaned heavily on mustard, and there seemed to be a lot of relish or pickles, which threw me off a bit. Still, I'd absolutely come back again just for the ribs. The customer ahead of us ordered brisket, and I appreciated that Rodney was upfront about whether it was on the leaner or fattier side--that level of honesty goes a long way. Overall, the BBQ smelled and tasted great, and the pricing is very reasonable for the portions you get--it's definitely worth the value. If you enjoy good BBQ, I'd recommend making the trip to check this spot out before more people discover it. One thing to note: the ribs are truly fall-off-the-bone, so if you prefer a firmer, more "bite-through" texture where you can really gnaw on the meat, this might not be your style.
