It's FAWQING delicious. Now I don't have to go to ktown for tteokbokki and it's walking distance. The tteokbokki is way bigger than it looks and is definitely meant to be shared. You order through a kiosk, and the owner is welcoming. The yubu is very good. I especially liked the mentaiko crabmeat, followed by the spicy salmon and spicy mala beef belly. We also tried the mala tteokbokki, which you can adjust for spiciness, but it leans heavily on Sichuan peppercorns and can be overpowering in every bite. The mango matcha tasted mostly like milk, with very little matcha or mango flavor. Overall, food is decent but the biggest downside is the price. It feels expensive for the portion sizes. read more

Just checked out Kingyubu in Montrose and came away impressed. I tried the Grilled Bulgogi Yubu, Salmon Avocado Hand Roll, and Unagi Avocado Cupbop. Definitely more food than one person needs, but I wanted to sample a few different items so I could give a fair review. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and well prepared. As a bonus, they're currently offering a free lemonade with purchases of $30 or more this week. The lemonade was refreshing and paired really well with the meal. First week of opening and Kingyubu is off to a strong start. Their ordering process is easy, the yubu choices are top notch and the ones we got were all tasty. I especially love the rice and how they season it. We got a free miso and lemonade because of it being the first week. The space is small but mighty and you can easily order for dine in or to go. I can see older folks having a hard time doing digital orders or not being served so this place is definitely geared towards the foodies, younger crowd or those more tech savvy. If you're passing by stop in and place a quick order. You don't have to come for a full menu or dining experience, you could literally order and take a "snack" item for the road while you do your farmer's market shop or various Honolulu events. So excited to have this new place as an option in Montrose. We'll be back! read more

Kingyubu was actually kind of good. The yubu selections were alright, pretty pricey but I guess it makes sense given its massive size. The tteoboki was actually really good and probably stole it for me. I think it's still a great spot for the local town and worth a visit if you like korean food read more

Hidden Gem in Montrose, CA! You are first greeted with a warm welcome by the staff as you walk in. The ambiance of this place is cute and welcoming. The restaurant is very clean and organized. The walls have picture frames that describe what yubu is and have the cute kingyubu logo. The staff is ready to help whenever they can. If you have questions on how to order on the kiosks or ask what are the best sellers, they were always ready to help! Ordering is done at the self-service kiosks where there are pictures and descriptions to help you choose which toppings you want. But let me tell you... it will certainly be a challenge because every flavor looks delicious. I ordered my favs... lemon salmon (BOMBBB!!!!), bulgogi (korean staple), tuna mayo, and spicy pork belly, and salmon with teriyaki. Please refer to the pictures I have posted. Portions are filling and bursts with flavor! I also ordered the beef belly topokki. Let me tell you.... perfect amount of sweetness and spiciness. They have other flavors of topokki, such as original, rosé, and mala. You need to try!! I highly recommend. The portions for this dish is good too. Please try the lemonade. Were able to try all different kinds today as they had a buy five get one free deal. Everything was delicious down to the sauces and the in house prepared lemonade. Staff was so friendly and kind, attentive to all our needs. Aircon was on, a refreshing escape from the heat outside. Nice little shop in Montrose. Went there to taste what they had to offer. I think this is more of a snack shop than a an actually restaurant. Expect to spend over $20 per person to be full. That's the thing... it's quite pricey for what you get. I mean this is the opposite of a good value. As a snack shop, the food is ok. Nothing to write home about. You can make most of this stuff at home so frankly I have little incentive to visit again. Service is none since you order from the kiosk. This was my family's first time visiting Kingyubu, and enjoyed it. However, for a hungry family of five there were some notes. First off, this seems less of a lunch location and more like a place for a "snack", as the portions are small. The food itself was delicious, but wasn't worth the price. The atmosphere was nice, and cozy. I shared the sweet and spicy skewer with my sister, but was too spicy in our opinions- we were shocked because on the menu it only had one chili symbol! (spice level measured by chilis on menu) My dad ordered something with one chili symbol as well and claimed it was "pretty spicy". People order by kiosk, so nothing special for service. Overall, this is a good place, but not the most ideal for us. read more

I found out about this place after seeing it randomly on IG. We came here to try yubu for the first time: kingyubu, philly cream salmon yubu, and tuna mayo yubu. We also ordered original topokki, corn cheese, grilled bulgogi cupbop, and organic matcha latte. You order through a kiosk. All food are flavorful. Me and my family like everything that we ordered, no complaints. Our most favorite are corn cheese and topokki. We had an option to make topokki "less spicy" but it still tasted like regular spicy but it was still sooo good. The only negative I experienced is about the older female staff. No smile or greeting when we arrived but she was extra cheerful and conversant to other customers even when they were leaving. As we were about to leave, she still didn't say anything not until I was the one initiated it by saying thank you. She responded with a low energy, flat expression thank you. The place is clean, there is a hand sanitizer near the kiosk. There is a station for utensils, condiments, plenty of napkins, and water station. read more

Delicious! Only complaint is they have a 5+1 deal (it's all the way at the bottom of the kiosk) and I didn't see it until I went to order again and because of that we couldn't get it. They were unwilling to accommodate for it at the front. read more
