Visited here for the second time last night. This time was much busier despite being Monday night . I was happy to see that they are busy. We sat outside. It was fast, friendly and attentive service. Everything we ordered was really fresh and not overly loaded with sauces. My favorite was yellowtail Serrano roll. Toro sushi was a bit not fatty enough . I like my toro to be more fatty and lighter color . See photos All in all, loved everything and will be back
Excellent sushi! Excellent food! Excellent service excellent ambience. Excellent leadership. Excellent people really wonderful place. I highly recommend it. Great place to come. Oh my god! You definitely should come here!
Had to comeback for lunch special. Well, I went with the bowl instead since it had all my favorite fishes. The fish was very fresh and sushi rice was well seasoned. I do think that a bowl of miso soup should be included :)
The sushi here is AMAZING! My friend and I stumbled across this restaurant while at the Americana and were so surprised by how delicious all the rolls we ordered were! The service was great and will definitely be coming back. There's seating indoors & outdoors. Must try!
Excellent service! Server and sushi chefs are very accommodating and kind. Matt was a wonderful waiter and deserves great recognition! Context: I originally went to Crazy rock n sushi, i paid for parking and once i walked inside was told they actually close at 9:30pm not 10pm. I was a little sad at first as i really wanted sushi for takeout and had already paid for parking. I started walking around and found Cavi sushi. I walked inside and asked if they were open. Funny enough they also closed at 10pm but they do honor their actual hours of operation. I asked if they had a Tiger roll i could order to go, they said they dont but could just make one for me! Ive worked in the food service industry and always say a big part of how great a place is, heavily lies on how well the staff treat customers when its near closing time.
Cavi provided great service. Our waitress was kind and helpful with recommendations. the sushi was good, premium fish like blue fin tuna roll was great. My only complaint was the AC. We arrived at about 6pm and we were sweating we sat just inside by the window. We left at approximately 830pm and it was still very warm inside.
Everything was exceptional. I had lunch special course for $35, miso soup, cucumber salad, toro hand roll, and Lavi roll. Every dish was fresh, beautifully prepared, and absolutely delicious. The quality of the fish really stands out. The restaurant itself is small but beautiful. The ambiance is modern sleek, and elegant while still feeling warm and welcoming. Our server, Peter was incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive, which made me feel comfortable from the moment we walked in. It will be my new regular sushi spot from now on.
Place is nice looking, but somewhat tight. We were seated at a tiny table for two and the pacing of dishes was infuriating, as pretty much everything came at once and the table was so cramped that it was uncomfortable. Glasses, plates, ice bucket, and then the sushi plates... I hated it. The sushi was good, and it was attractive to look at, but nothing really blew us away. Service was friendly, but she simply wasn't a great server. Final problem as that our Sake was a different price on the check from what was listed in the menu. When I mentioned it, she just said, "oh, we got new menus." I mentioned that wasn't the point and that it wasn't okay. She didn't seem to get it. So, beware of something possibly shady going on. Not bad, but we won't return.
Such a cute, cozy, and family run sushi spot. We ordered the: bluefin nest sashimi, rainbow roll, atomic roll, yellowtail serrano roll, spicy tuna on crispy rice, plus shishito peppers and edamame. Everything was fresh and beautifully presented. Service is consistently great, reservations are easy, and the staff is friendly and attentive.
Definitely a top sushi spot in the area. I love this local, family-run place operated by a father and son! The menu is full of fresh, delicious options. While the rice was ever so slightly overcooked and a bit bland in my opinion, the quality and freshness of the fish more than made up for it. Many places have nigiri that tastes the same due to similar ingredients, but not here--each piece had its own distinct flavor. I also appreciated the reservation option; our table was ready the moment we arrived. The interior is relaxing, and the staff is incredibly friendly. Our drinks were always topped off, and the servers made sure we were well taken care of. Parking on the street can be a bit tricky, but there are plenty of nearby parking structures and lots available.
Finally a sushi place that combines quality fish with a nice casual atmosphere and great staff! The edamame was warm and perfectly salted. The unsweetened green tea came with an edible flower, and they have lunch specials! The nigiri was to die for. And they had gf soy sauce. I will definitely come back and try their other lunch specials. Delish!

We came here on a Friday evening with no reservation. We were seated outside right away. The Spicy Tuna on Crispy Rice was just okay. The rice wasn't crispy enough and the Spicy Tuna was missing a significant taste. The Albacore Crispy Onion Sashimi was kinda dry and wasn't as tasteful. The Baked Salmon was overbaked and the inside of the rolls were dry. The Tuna Lemon was the best for me, it was generous portion and tasted well. The Salmon Belly Sashimi was good as well. The prices are above average. The place is okay to try but it's something I'll be craving or wanting to come back. read more

So so delicious! My boyfriend and I were in search of a new sushi spot and my goodness, we are so glad we found this place! You have to try the atomic roll! Spicy and tasty and all the right flavors! The salmon lime roll was fresh and citrusy--my favorite! Honorable mention to the spicy tuna crispy which was also a standout! The onion bloom roll was on the salty side but the crispy onions were yum! Everyone was very friendly and the chef was awesome! Casual ambiance, great for date night or to catch up with friends! read more

If you are looking for a sushi place with fresh fish, this is the place to go! We had great service and food presentation. It's also super cute for a date. I would definitely recommend this sushi spot! We ordered the salmon, lime, Evergreen, onion bloom and baked baby lobster roll. They were all super delicious! Make it a day and go shopping at Bloomingdale's and pick up some sweet treats at Porto's across the street. read more

Lovely, cozy and clean atmosphere. I sat at the bar and the Chefs were very friendly and professional and attentive to me the entire time. Matt is an exceptional server and gave me the absolute best service and recommendations. He took care of me throughout my entire visit. Never felt rushed during my time there at all. The sushi was fresh and the plating was very tastefully decorative. My favorite was the Yellowtail Serrano! Definitely will be coming back again! read more

Heaters on a cold night were warmly comfortable. Outside seating in open air is always welcome. Lunch prices are more reasonable. The fish looked fresh and tasted good. The servers were within reach, courteous and attentive. Emilia and Peter worked smoothly as a team. read more
Cavi Sushi in Glendale was a fun dinner stop, especially since it's right near the heart of downtown and perfect for a stroll around the Americana afterward. We tried a few cut rolls, and the yellowtail and salmon stood out as our favorites--super fresh and full of flavor. The fish in general was really fresh, which made a big difference in every bite. Prices are a little on the high side, but the quality mostly justifies it. Service was quick and friendly, which we appreciated on a busy night. The ambiance is cute without being over the top--there's a whole ceiling section covered in hanging flowers that gives it a fun, Instagrammable vibe. It feels modern and stylish but still casual enough to relax in. It wasn't too loud, even when the tables filled up. We parked in the nearby lot that gives 90 minutes free, which made things really easy. Definitely a good spot for a date night or casual meet-up with friends. If you're sushi-hopping through Glendale, this one's worth a stop. I'd come back just for that yellowtail roll and will probably try more speciality rolls next time. read more

wow, wow, WOW!! such good sushi and has such fresh fish. I recently moved into one of the apartment buildings nearby and decided to try this place out since its within walking distance. needless to say this is one of the BEST sushi spots in glendale. I used to drive out to la crescenta for sushi but i no longer have to do that since this is a short walk away and i dont need to worry about the parking situation. the star of the show for me was the toro sunrise. it was phenomenal! read more

Service was great! The waiter Peter was extremely attentive and down-to-earth. He even gave me a birthday gift on house from the chef, the Bluefin Nest Sashimi (which was my favorite thing we tried). The service alone beat out many of the other spots. Ambiance was chill, super clean, and nice view of the street watching life go by. Food was very tasty and high quality, better than many of the sushi spots that exist on the same boulevard. They also brought me a birthday ice cream read more

Walking distance from Americana at Brand, Cavi Sushi feels like a hidden gem amongst Glendale's many dining options. Arriving with a group of friends and kids, the staff was immediately accommodating to make sure we were able to sit together by combining two tables - a very nice gesture. We ordered a miso soup, shrimp tempura and beef gyoza for my daughter who loved her food. My wife and I leaned into mostly citrus-themed options by ordering the Tuna Lemon, Salmon Lime and Atomic rolls as well as an Orange Salmon sashimi. All were unbelievably delicious. The best part of the rolls is the balance - the rice isn't overwhelming and the rolls aren't too big so you don't feel like you're eating too much and getting uncomfortably full like you would at many sushi spots. The Orange Salmon sashimi with the pomegranate sauce was a unique flavor that went really well together. Of the four things we ordered, the Salmon Lime was my favorite but I'd recommend them all. To top it off, the chef sent over a complimentary Red Snapper Nigiri. I've never tried red snapper before and let's just say I will now be trying red snapper because this was delicious. Do yourselves a favor and get it. read more

It was fine, but the house sauce was super overpowering, and for what you're getting, it's fairly expensive (though it's sushi so that's a little bit of a given). Service was friendly, vibes were fine, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come again. read more
