#goodfood #flyforfood #goodfriends Who ever thought I would find a decent sushi bar in Glendale, California? Well surprise! Priced right Clean And they were busy with takeout orders too

Had the best date night in a while, all while enjoying some of the most delicious and fresh fish around! The restaurant feels incredibly intimate, with a U-shaped bar encircling the sushi chefs in the middle. Each seat is pre-set with a plate, chopsticks, and a moist towelette. We began with an order of the spicy tuna crispy rice and glazed shrimp. Both were excellent, and the glazed shrimp had an Umami rather than sweet flavor like I initially anticipated. We then enjoyed a serving of the black cod skewer and a Wagyu skewer. The only challenge with eating these was that they were so tender they kept falling off the skewer. 10 out of 10 for both! Every single piece of Nigiri and each hand roll was better than the next. I don't think I could choose a favorite, but if I have to, I thoroughly enjoyed the Toro Nigiri and the yellowtail handroll for their simplicity that let the quality of the fish shine. The service was great, with food, coming out at inappropriate pace and staff checking on you at an appropriate pace as well. Although it was a little pricier than other sushi spots around town, you definitely got what you paid for!

Amazing as always ! Amazing service, super fresh ingredients, well seasoned, generous portions. Top notch ! Im glad they are always consistent with their quality. A bit on a pricier side considering nowadays there are many similar places but we love going here due to the location convenience, great food and variety, and vibes.

Every hand roll was soaked in sesame oil. Not authentic at all. Although the packaging was very neat, it was very difficult to unwrap to eat.

Just stopped in for a light bite since neither of us were starving. The atmosphere was relaxed and the staff were relatively attentive (I did have to ask for my sake twice). I love hand rolls in general because you don't have to commit to an entire cut roll and can try a few things. The prices were reasonable and the food was fresh. I would like to try a few other things in the future, but I tried the yellowtail thinking it would be the same as a favorite restaurant of mine in Manhattan, but it was much more citrusy than expected (personal preference entirely).

Just as good as I remember it! Enjoyed three hand rolls: yellowtail, blue crab, and albacore. 10/10 for that sushi quality! Our server forgot about us at some point, but sushi chef came in to save the day.

Hands down the best sushi spot in SoCal--even compared to Sugarfish & Kazu Nori! Chef Jesse and his team make the best sushi my fiancé and I have ever had since we came to this spot on our first date almost 3 yrs ago (but I've been ordering delivery from them before that ). I can't believe I haven't posted a review all these years but we always end up in a food coma bc everything we've had there is so good! Some of our fav dishes to order: yellowtail handroll, toro uni caviar truffle sushi (my fav), Kama toro (fiancé's fav), glazed shrimp, mushroom medley, pork belly skewers, sweet shrimp, Jorge's special (live scallops), ikura sushi, firefly octopus (seasonal octopus that comes out only during cherry blossom season) which Chef Jesse introduced us to along with the Kama toro and we end with dessert: unagi, snow crab hand roll &/ blue crab hand roll. The ambience is very chill and we love their decor and artwork on the walls and the staff is very nice and accommodating. We're surprised they haven't gotten a Michelin star yet but they should!

Great cuts, unique flavors and fish options were good. The preparations tasted very fresh and it was a great experience. Service was prompt and friendly even has a solo diner.

Been wanting to try this place since it opened and we finally got the chance today. Everything from the ambiance, to the employees, chefs and food was amazing. Everything we tried was followed by "oh my god, that was my favorite one" because each thing we ordered was better than the other. Jorge was an amazing chef and gave us a special scallop that had us asking what was in there. Also special shoutout to Eva, who was so sweet and kind! Love this place, ten out of ten, will be back for sure!

A coworker recommended this spot. The staff was so polite and friendly. Very attentive. The food was extremely fresh. Highly recommend this spot. You honestly will not regret it (as long as price isn't an issue) The toro is to die for. It melts in your mouth. Just wow. The kanpachi, hamachi, and the madai -Japanese red snapper was amazing. The music is very trendy, the place was clean.

Omg such a long awaited visit! Their social media pictures look exactly like they do in real life and they taste just as amazing! It was really good! Finally planned a day to come here to grab hand rolls before we got the day started. Never had a chance all the other times because honestly LA traffic is just horrible and being at 1 LA location to go to another is just a no. There's parking all around but of course you have to pay either on the street or in a lot. Walked inside and was immediately greeted by a host. The entire place was a U-shaped bar style so I wouldn't say it's kid friendly. No table seating at all. You can see the sushi chefs make it fresh to order. I ordered takeout and it came in a nice sturdy bag. The wait was supposed to be around 10-15 minutes for my 4 hand rolls but it felt longer. All the rolls I got were all delicious! Definitely lives up to its hype! I'm not sure why I thought they were going to be overpriced at over $20 a hand roll but maybe that was just 1 specialty hand roll but the ones I got ranged from $10-15? I ordered Negitoro, SOS, Araz, and spicy scallop. They all tasted like heaven! The sauces were tasty and it wasn't too saucy or messy and I loved the size they cut the pieces of fish instead of just turning them into mush. The opening of the roll was plastic like those Japanese ones to preserve the freshness but it was hard for us to take out probably since we're inexperienced. I'm still thinking about those rolls.

Very cute cozy sushi bar in Glendale. When you walk in there are no actual tables. It's all bar seating on stools. Ambience was great lively good music everyone enjoying their dinner. Staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. All the food we ordered tasted fresh and delicious, our waitress was very attentive, patient and friendly. Our favorites and a must try were the glazed crispy shrimp,, spicy albacore , Lena hand roll, kanpachi, albacore sashimi , and spicy tuna rice cakes . They were all fabulous. I went in with my family and children for my nine-year-old's birthday hence the patients. lol. We had a great night and we will definitely be back.

It was our first time visiting this place and although we came a couple of minutes before they had their last call, they were able to accommodate all our orders. I enjoyed the pork belly and liver dishes! Ambiance was relaxed and service was fast.

I absolutely love this store and everything about how they do business…read more First, they are the only shop around the area that actually goes ALL out with holiday decorations throughout the year, and it is always beautifully done! It brings so much joy to the street every time I pass it and shows how much pride, care, and passion the people here put into what they do. You can tell they genuinely want to create something special, not just inside the store, but for the whole community around them. That's awesome. Second, the food here is phenomenal and actually priced well. It's refreshing to find a place that serves such high-quality food at prices that still feel decently affordable. Their lunch menu is next level just the photos alone will make you drool, and again great prices considering 2026's economy. It is delicious, satisfying, and honestly a better value than many cafes that charge the same or more for food that is nowhere near as good. The ladies who run the shop are also incredibly friendly, warm, and personable. They are always courteous, fun to talk to, and bring such great energy to the space. Every visit feels welcoming and upbeat and I look forward to coming in to grab a huge pack of smoked salmon for $18 and some fresh Russian bread (toasted with butter!) for a few bucks. Perfect lunch and dinner for this guy haha! I sincerely hope this business continues to thrive for many years to come. They deserve it. THANK YOU SEVEN SEAS!!

I looked around and found this place on Yelp. We had never heard of it, so I thought we should give it a try. I'm so glad we did! Also, what a catchy name. We walked in around 5:40pm on a Tuesday and the place was completely empty. We were greeted by Alex who was the main star of the evening. He was so kind, gentle, soft spoken and honest. Truly a great employee who cares about his job and customers! The same goes for Angelo, who also waited on us, brought out our food and anything else we needed, like extra lemon wedges and hot sauce. The service was truly superb in every way! They both checked on us several times. Now for the food. Everything was simply delicious and fresh. The prices were appropriate for the portions and we both throughly enjoyed our food. I got their Surf and Turf with Ribeye and Grilled Jumbo Shrimp (3pc). For my sides, I added on Caesar Salad and Jambalaya Rice (comes with sausage, chicken, and shrimp). Each side was $2.35 extra. Although it was all tasty and properly made, I'm not going to order ribeye steak anymore from now on. It's always too fatty for my taste, and it's not the restaurant's fault. It's just how the meat is. My son got their Grilled Salmon plate and chose White Rice and Sautéed Veggies as his sides. He was very happy with his dish and didn't leave any crumbs on his plate. He said everything was seasoned properly and the veggies were cooked perfectly/very flavorful. This place is such a hidden gem in Glendale. In all my years of coming to this city, I can't believe I've never noticed it. They have great food with great service in a clean, comfy and homey environment. More people started to show up for dinner time and the vibes got even better. The blues music they were playing really hit the mark and made a great addition to the experience. In my opinion, the big TVs they have are unnecessary. (This isn't a sports bar). They have a BIG parking lot and one bathroom for each gender. My son said the men's restroom was clean, but the women's could have used a little touch up. There's a lot of love in this restaurant! Thank you Alex, Angelo, management and Crab Avenue.

I recommend coming early because they did get busy and by the time we left every table was filled. The energy here is definitely upbeat and a great place to hang and catch up with friends. We had an incredible feast and would come back to reorder all of the dishes we tried this visit and more: Goi Xoai Muc ($15.99) - Mango salad with squid. Very light and refreshing. This is an unripe mango thinly cut and mixed in with traditional Vietnamese herbs. It also comes with some shrimp chips to funnel up this delicious salad. Oc Mong Tay Mo Hanh ($18.99) - Razor clams grilled with scallion oil. One of the least flavorful items by compare. Both my friend and I felt like the scallion oil was very light on these razor clams but enjoyed it with the sauces from other dishes. Oc Mo Bo Toi ($24.99) - Fat snails prepared garlic butter style. Delicious. These bigger snails makes them easier to pick them out with the skewers they serve this with. Ngheu Xao Bo Toi ($16.99) - Clams prepared garlic butter style. Yum. Juicier compared to the snails and absorbs the sauce well. The clam shell makes it easy to scoop up the sauce and drink it. Oc Len Xao Dua ($16.99) - Sea snails in a coconut milk sauce. One of my favorites but I know it's one of the more difficult ones to eat, cause you'll have to suck on it really hard to get the snail out. But the sauce is delicious and unique. So Diep Trung Cut ($15.99) - Scallops with quail eggs. Highly recommended by staff, They mentioned this was a popular dish. Very decadent. It was a smidge too much food for 2 people but when I asked my friend if she would remove anything, she mentioned it was all a good variety for the meal. What a surprise when I walked through the door and saw such a beautiful space. When I checked online, there were plenty of reservations available so we decided to just show up. Much to my surprise, without a reservation you can only be seated in a certain part of the restaurant. Reserve seats are for another area where there is a live music. But that was fine because we could still hear the music during our meal. Our server was quite good though it seemed as if he was also a maître D as he was running all over the restaurant. He made some great recommendations so we ordered quite a few dishes. First up was their Beetroot Carpaccio and Tuna Tartare. The beet dish was quite unique and very colorful! Overall, I really enjoyed it, but I think they overdid it with the truffle oil. The tuna tartare was not what I was expecting. While flavorful, it was more of a poke than a tartare in my opinion. Next up was their Vitello Tonnato salad. This was my least favorite of the night. The slices of roast beef were not tender and the salad didn't quite come together for me. For our entrées, we chose the Beef Cheeks and the grilled Lamb Chops. The lamb chops were exactly as expected, with a flavorful rub and cooked to perfection. But it was the beef cheeks that stole the show. They were slow cooked and fell apart the second you put your fork into them. They were obviously braised in red wine. The gnocchi underneath were obviously sautéed in the braising liquid as they took on the same red color and flavor. My only complaint about this dish is those gnocchi were not homemade. While tasty, they were obviously those vacuum sealed, store-bought types of gnocchi. This dish would have been so much better if those gnocchi were homemade. For dessert, we chose their signature Medovik, a multi layered cake. With the accompanying coffee, it was the perfect ending to the meal. We look forward to coming back and trying other things on the menu. Everything is a bit on the pricey side, but well worth it for a special occasion meal. While there were a couple of hiccups, it will not stop me from returning.
