Almost forgot to order a sushi platter for New Years, but thank goodness they were opened on New Years Day! They came through again! My family totally enjoyed their visit super sushi and my grand children loved the extra order if Ikura sushi! Thank you Vicky and staff for helping make our start to 2026 a delicious one!

My Yelp friend Cindy S loves this place, and I decided to come here to try it. The fish quality is the best in the Montrose/Glendale area, my only complaint is the Tuna Tempura roll had a teriyaki sauce over it. Tuna Tempura roll is my favorite sushi roll, I would prefer a house/mayo/dynamite sauce over it. Would love to come back to try other things on the menu.

Food still tastes great but rolls were messier than usual. Also my sushi rice from kept falling into my soy sauce tray which was infuriating so I started deconstructing the sushi by eating each part separately. I usually don't have to do that at other sushi places so that was a disappointing way to eat the sushi. Fish on the sushi was generous and fresh so no complaints there.

Normally, I try to give businesses the benefit of the doubt but this place was disappointing. There was no passion in any of the dishes, and mediocrity didn't cut it. The sushi rolls were prepared very poorly. Every piece fell apart because the bottom of the sushi roll pieces were not fully secured by the seaweed. I strongly believe that is the bare minimum a sushi chef should be able to provide for a customer. Salmon was very fishy. We were told that scallops were "fresh" but that was far from the truth. While the customer service was decent, I was disappointed that the waitress couldn't offer any popular recommendations, instead stating that "everything on the menu is good." The Shishito roll was passable, but the fish on top had an odd consistency. Overall, finishing the food felt overwhelming, and after the first roll, it was evident we weren't going to enjoy the rest of our meal. We won't be coming bwdk

Best friend and I came on a busy Friday evening, so we expected to wait especially since this is a compact casual sushi bar. There was an empty table for two so a staff member sat us down but then realized there was another party waiting before us so we had to leave the table. Eventually we were sat down and we ordered and the drinks, hot sake and tea came pretty quick. The food took a while and that was expected since they were busy and we ordered a lot. Everything was delicious. I recommend the toro, scallops and salmon. They gave us a green tea ice cream to share which was nice!

Food here is absolutely amazing. Their portions are huge. Chicken teriyaki, beef teriyaki, salmon teriyaki, and California roll were delicious. Even their green tea, rice, and miso soup were excellent. This restaurant is a hidden gem. Free 3 hour public parking just walking distance. Great customer service.

We came for a friend's birthday party, and DEVOURED. Started off with the Matcha IPA beer (green deliciousness, a bit strong on the hop + matcha so beware), and ordered a few appetizers to start--edamame, karaage, seared albacore with onions, yellowtail jalapeño, ceviche (omg so good), shishito peppers--everything was amazing! And we were off to a great start. We ordered a few rolls, and sushi, and hadn't realized that each portion came with 2 pieces so we definitely ate a lot. Everything was very fresh, and the quality was amazing. As if it couldn't be better, the service was superb! The owners came to check on us multiple times, ensuring everything was according to our liking and nothing was amiss. Can't believe it was my first time here! This spot is truly an absolute gem. We were warmly welcomed by the host and seated right away at the bar. The chef greeted us personally, and although there was a bit of a language barrier, he was incredibly sweet and patient while explaining each course and where the fish was sourced from. You could really tell how much care and pride went into every piece. Everything tasted so fresh and beautifully prepared. Each course flowed perfectly into the next, and by the end of the meal, we were surprisingly very full (which doesn't always happen with omakase!). To top it all off, we were treated to a homemade matcha cake with a candle, which was such a thoughtful and memorable birthday touch. It wasn't too busy during our visit, which we actually loved because it made the entire experience feel more intimate, just like other omakase experiences we've had. Highly recommend this place for celebrating special occasions, anniversaries, or birthdays. We'll definitely be back.

As we walked through the room, we noticed that every empty table had a "Reserved" sign on it. Yet in the entire hour we spent eating, not a single person or group came in and sat at any of those reserved tables. The hostess was somewhat rude and seemed to have a sense of urgency for us to hurry up and not waste a breath ordering, which made us feel rushed. Given how empty the place was, there was no reason for her urgency. The sushi and rolls we ordered were okay--very fresh--but the rolls didn't have much flavor. We had one roll with fried onions; it would have been nice if the onions were fresh, but they were obviously cooked long before and were cold and stale. We were the only two people at the very long sushi bar, and the sushi chefs kept placing orders for other tables directly in front of us over the bar, so the wait staff had to continually reach over our heads with other people's food. I will not eat here again and will not recommend it to anyone.

Wow-- each one was delicious and didn't even need soy sauce (they do have a gf shoyu). I was so impressed, I ordered an additional blue crab roll. You have to eat them fast- every second counts as the nori softens. The chefs were really friendly as were the staff. From the moment I walked in, I was promptly and genuinely greeted by pretty much everyone working there; it set a welcoming tone right away. Even better, there was virtually no wait. I walked in and within minutes was already seated. The energy of the place is fast-paced, but it never feels rushed. Everything flows smoothly, and you can tell the team is locked in while still making sure guests feel relaxed and taken care of. I went with a 5-roll order and an individual roll, and every piece hit the spot. The salmon roll came out first and was the perfect start - fresh, buttery, and incredibly satisfying. The tuna followed and delivered that clean, rich flavor you want. Third was the amberjack, which had a really nice balance and depth. The scallop roll (fourth) was a standout: sweet, delicate, and expertly done. Fifth was the blue crab, fresh and full of flavor with great texture. I finished with wagyu, which was rich, indulgent, and the perfect closing note. Marcelle was exceptional. Even with the restaurant moving at full speed, his attention to detail never dropped. Everything was explained clearly, timed perfectly, and handled with professionalism. You can tell he takes pride in his work. Huge shoutout as well to Daniel, who stayed on top of everything the entire time: attentive, efficient, and always present when needed. Top-tier experience across the board. Perfect for a solo visit or otherwise, and definitely a 5-star spot.

The interior has a modern aesthetic and even on a Wednesday evening, it was packed with a wait. We didn't have to wait too long, but as we ate and had dinner I noticed that it was full consistently. We sat down and they have have a wide array of items on their menu. We went with 3 dinner specials which have a small options (one has tempura, another with a California Roll. and one with Both) safe to we ordered one of each. For Apps we got some Edamame and Kaarage. For Rolls, we went with Rainbow Roll and Catapillar Roll. Starting with apps, the edamame to me was good a touch less salt which was great for my father. The karaage was flavorful with that sesame taste and juicy interiror. To me it was rather small compared to what I am used to, but flavor wise on par. The Rainbow roll is a staple anywhere I go for the first time as that gives me the array of fish with a California roll. The fish was fresh tasting and to me was fine. My slight disappointment was with the Caterpillar Roll, my parents just returned from Japan and the first thing they compared the roll to was what they experienced over there. Not a fair comparison, but none the less I am posting it here as refence as I see the same in surrounding restuarants here. The dinner special comes with Miso Soup, Salad, Protein of choice, and a choice of side (tempura, California Roll, or both). We each got one of the combinations. The Chicken Teriyaki was juicy and good compared to what I normally get from similar restaurants. Overall, a good choice if your simply looking for something balanced. What won me over, was the service. The place was packed and the staff and manager were out there doing what they can, but I didn't hear a single complaint around the restaurant. Not about the wait times, nor the food, and that matters. A small interaction that I happened to pick up, was one of the staff helping an elderly gentleman put on his coat. A small gesture but to me means the world. If they can take a second to do that for him, they really care about your experience. As a local favorite, I can highly recommend this place not just that the food is good, but because service tipped my scale. Mind the place was packed and smiles all around from everyone. I will be back if I am around, I am so glad I was able to finally check this one off my list!
