There are seating area both indoor & outdoor. So nice sitting outside in a beautiful weather. The Service: Hannah was taking care of our table. Super friendly & efficient. Her smile definitely brighten our day. She is very attentive and always checking on every table if customers need something. Excellent customer service!! The Food: When we dine with the kids and they couldn't really eat raw fish. We always look for options on the menu that they can eat. Here... tons of options! We like it. Under entree, we ordered chicken teriyaki, salmon teriyaki, bulgogi and assorted tempura. They are plated like a bento box, there are also salad, rice and miso soup. Definitely a great meal with good price! Seafood Yakisoba is one of our favorite noodles dishes. Huge portion! Perfect to share. Lots of seafood and the noodles has great texture. We also tried their two new rolls, Princess Roll (no rice) & Raging Crab Roll. They are both plated beautifully. Princess Roll has no rice so if you are cutting down your carbs, you got to try this roll. There are so many good stuffs in Raging Crab Roll, crab meat, crab stick, shrimp tempura & etc. The Parking: Large parking lot at the back of the restaurant and across the street too. Free!

Honestly I'd probably give a 3.5. The service is amazing all of the staff is friendly. The place itself is cute too. I like the outdoor seating area. The food however is pretty meh. The handroll was pretty good but compared to other sushi it just didn't wow me as much.

    Packaging on the salmon skin.

NO Stars! This place is so unsanitary and don't care about the quality of their food. Placed an order for pickup. When I got home the salmon had been cooked in the packaging!!!! Way to poison us. Never coming back here. Go elsewhere!

Decent lunch experience on a Tuesday. It's a great place to come if you want to sit outside on a nice day to have sushi. I come here more for the ambiance than the sushi experience and it's ok quality. I think it's not the best fish in the area but it'll do. Service is good. Dishes leave you wanting more compared to the cost.

service: super fast and the servers were very kind food: the chirashi bowl beautiful presentation, delicious fish, the rolls were amazing(we got the raging crab roll, hot zone, and taiger tail roll); the sushi overall 1000/10 so good, will def be coming back !!

My fiancée and I have eaten at Bluefish in Montrose so many times -- it's one of our go-to spots. We absolutely love everything here, from the mussel appetizers to their fresh sushi and sashimi. The quality is always top-notch and consistent. Their bento boxes are also a favorite -- flavorful, well-portioned, and satisfying every time. Whether we're grabbing a quick bite or enjoying a relaxed dinner, Bluefish never disappoints. Their service is always pleasant and the area is so nice we like to sit outside Highly recommend for any sushi lovers in the area!

Came here for a late dinner and was impressed that there was a pretty decent sushi place here! Service was great, food came promptly, atmosphere is comfortable, food was solid! There is parking at the back or in other lots nearby! Would definitely recommend! Great for all occasions!

We came for a friend's birthday party, and DEVOURED. Started off with the Matcha IPA beer (green deliciousness, a bit strong on the hop + matcha so beware), and ordered a few appetizers to start--edamame, karaage, seared albacore with onions, yellowtail jalapeño, ceviche (omg so good), shishito peppers--everything was amazing! And we were off to a great start. We ordered a few rolls, and sushi, and hadn't realized that each portion came with 2 pieces so we definitely ate a lot. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by the very friendly staff, who took us to a table. The restaurant is so clean and bright with gorgeous decor and the comfiest seating. The service was so prompt and our server was fantastic at answering any questions we had. I inquired about the vegan options, as the menu didn't specify which items were. The waiter was so knowledgeable and vividly described all of the options to me, saying which ones did not have any fish sauce or egg. I ended up ordering the Green Goddess sushi roll and the Agedashi Tofu. The tofu was brought out first and it was so delectable. It was coated in a lovely batter and fried and the sauce was just the right amount of tangy with the slightest sweetness. The Green Goddess sushi was equally amazing and beautifully presented on a leaf. It was true to its name and was very green with some lovely avocado, cucumber and asparagus. It was even topped with jalapeño to give it some added spice and add even more crispiness to it! The servers were on it, bringing us more ginger and wasabi as needed and consistently checking on us to ensure we were satisfied with our meals. My friend really enjoyed his fish sushi as well. We both left very satisfied and energized. I would definitely return again for more delicious veggie sushi and to try more of their vegan appetizers!

This spot is truly an absolute gem. We were warmly welcomed by the host and seated right away at the bar. You could really tell how much care and pride went into every piece. Everything tasted so fresh and beautifully prepared. Each course flowed perfectly into the next, and by the end of the meal, we were surprisingly very full (which doesn't always happen with omakase!). To top it all off, we were treated to a homemade matcha cake with a candle, which was such a thoughtful and memorable birthday touch. It wasn't too busy during our visit, which we actually loved because it made the entire experience feel more intimate, just like other omakase experiences we've had. So after the gathering ended, I went upstairs to Sushi Sasabunè since I knew from my previous experience at their Brentwood mother restaurant to be excellent. The interior is "Shibui" which in Japanese can mean artistically austere, minimalist. There is a Sushi bar, but it is reserved for Omakasè (oh mah kah seh) only. So, I couldn't sit and interact directly with the counter Sushi chef that day who was informative but aloof which is typical in Japan. I only spoke with the chef upon entry to determine what kind of specialties that he may offer. I asked for only Èdo Maè (eh doh mah eh) Nigiri Sushi that had either unusual ingredients or techniques which he delivered in spades. My young waiter né Hiroshima made up for the lack of the Sushi chef's personality delivering the various rare item Sushi with a warm conviviality. 1) Shiro Maguro/Albacore: Ultra thin, pinkish orange meat that is naturally found in between the sinews which have to be extracted by hand with tweezers. Double layered on top of hand formed Nigiri (nee ghee ree) Sushi rice, it is plush, velvety, melt in your mouth with delicately meaty Umami. Truly a food for the Gods. 2) Nodo Guro: Black throat perch that is again even more plush white meat to the point of being a touch mushy with a soupçon of sweet meatiness. To add contrast, the skin is flamed seared to add firmness and smokey accent. 3) Katsuo: Bonito is wrapped & cured in rice straw. Then the straw is burned to add light smoke. The dark crimson meat is satisfyingly beefy-meaty with taste of blood minerality from being aged like a well aged steak. The Garlic Katsuo Dashi Shōyu/soy sauce, which also seems rich in Katsuo Dashi fond de cuisine, is a good complementary addition as well as a bit of refreshing medicinal freshly ground ginger root to offset the complex Umami flavours. 1-3a) Fuku Komachi Sakè (sah keh) from Akita, Japan is astringent, dry, cleansing with fruit notes of green grape, loquat, unripe & ripe pear, overly ripe peach. There's a bitter & aged aftertaste but later, a sweet note, touch woody. Overall, a very sophisticated Sushi restaurant that has specialized cuisine for those who are interested in educating their palates. No county fair rolls that use thick sweet eel sauce, mayonnaise, Sriracha hot sauce. 4+ stars.

The menu isn't too expensive, which is nice so you're not paralyzed by indecision. You can either go for à la carte or go for hand rolls sets. My friend went for the Taste of the Bar set and I did the four hand roll set. We shared a blue crab don. I say, if you're gonna come here, you should just go all out and do the taste of the bar set. I did the four hand roll set and it came with pretty standard handrolls that you can kind of get anywhere. (if you like predictability then this is a great set.) however if you want to try what The Bar is better known for, then the Taste of the Bar or the Lux set gives you a good idea of their special handrolls. The salmon truffle isn't too truffle-y and the HYE is indeed good. I'd recommend going for these instead of standard handrolls since you can literally get those anywhere. The blue crab don was good but nothing so spectacular that I'd have to go out my way to get it again. Good to have once and it was nice to go back to between handrolls for the avocado bits. But otherwise I'd skip in the future. Nice experience. Cute place while at Americana. They do not validate parking.

I got an order of red snapper nigiri and Hokkaido scallop nigiri and these were delicious; however, it was quite heavy on the yuzu and soy sauce. Their handrolls are what they do best here. The best handroll we had was their seared scallop handroll, which came with Hokkaido scallop, shiso leaf, rice, and yuzu. Equally memorable was their Seaweed special, which came with ikura, minced negitoro, shiso leaf, and uni. In both of these handrolls, what was impressive was how much protein they stuffed into the roll. They put so much into a handroll, it was almost like a mini sushi burrito. We came here from Long Beach; however, if we make the drive back to Glendale to Seaweed Handroll bar, we will definitely order more of their handrolls as they have great flavor balance, fair pricing, and they're very filling.
