I came here on April 2,2020 Ordered online and had a pick up for 5pm. I arrived at 4:45 and let them know I was there. No one came out to us so at 5:30 I went in to check on my order. They said they were working on it and to give them a few more minutes. At 6:00 I went back in and they said it would be less than 10 more min. About 5 minutes later they come out with my order. When the gentleman handed me my pizza the box was cold, had absolutely no heat to it. So I addressed it and he said they could make me a new one. I said no it was fine I would just like a refund for the pizza. I didn't want the rest of my order ($200) worth of food to get cold. We got in the car and I was hungry so I went to grab a breadstick and that was cold also. Kinda seems like they don't make that fresh to order. So fast forward to today 06/29/2020 I ordered a pizza and salad and had Postmates deliver it. When the driver arrived to my house he said that when he picked up the pizza he let them know that it was cold and their response was "there is nothing we can do about it" . Terrible experience! Clearly ordered two pizza's and two salads on the phone. My mistake was giving a generous tip before they handed me the food with missing pizza! Had the Cobb salad with Tri Tip. This dish would be perfect if you are a huge meat eater and want to eat a little greens to make you feel like you are eating your veggies. Between the bacon and the blue cheese, it is way too salty for my taste. Bits of crispy bacon kept getting stuck in my gums. Ended up taking my food home and adding more salad so it wouldn't seem so salty. Pretty disappointing as a salad though. I'll stick to the other plates that they are better known for. read more

I'm a frequent customer here, but today I ordered food to go and it was a horrible experience. They got my order wrong, and then I had to wait an extra 15 minutes for my food (i called 20 mins before walking in)... There wasn't even a line??? I received my food and the first thing I noticed was the mashed potatoes. Literally looked and tasted like shit. My breadsticks were also cold and my salad didn't have a lot of tri tip in it (but it was undercooked anyways...). they didn't even offer me a refund or SOMETHING for the wait!!! First time eating here and the it was so-so. I like the speed we were greeted at the door. The tri-tip was pretty delicious as was the chicken. But I am not sure if it was just me or was it a little cold? It also took me a while to get my food (though we did arrive at a busy time) The prices were great and service was above average. The price for the me as l was fair but the price for the extra cup of sauce was absurd. Measured it at home, was exactly one cup and for this they charged $5.00. This is a long overdue review. I am so glad that there is a Stonefire grill in Irvine, and I hope they'll open another location in South OC. I ordered the Stonefire Favorite and a couple of other meat items for a Christmas gathering. Everybody liked the food that one of our guests also ordered for their company party. The kids loved the breadsticks as usual. Caesar salad is one of the best we've tasted. There were a lot of leftovers for the guests to take home. The only bummer is they don't have online ordering and that our tritip didn't come with Gorgonzola butter. We will always consider this place for family events and gatherings. This is one of those places we'll go back to over and over again because of their great food and reasonable prices. This place has received my last order. The quality has declined drastically. I ordered medium rare tried tip. When they showed it to me before putting it in the bag, the one slice that was visible was medium rare. But when I got home, it was obvious that slice was from a different loaf. Very underwhelming. Portion sizes are decent but the quality and taste of the food leaves a lot to be desired. I really believe that the people who eat here don't know what good food is. Sorry, not trying to make an insult but, I've eaten at many restaurants across the country, both high end and casual and this is definitely on the bottom. This isn't a one time experience. I've given this place a try several times and everytime has been about the same in terms of quality and taste. We ordered the Penne with meat sauce. If you should decide to order this, let me know if you really see any meat in the sauce AND also tell me if they put a decent amount of sauce on the penne. Not much flavor either. This place gets crowded but, I'm really not sure why other than what I've said above. The only reason we went here is because we received gift cards so we decided to give the place another chance. Sadly, it hasn't improved since the last time I was here which was about 5 years ago. The sad part is that I still have money left in the gift card. Ughhhhh! On Friday, 12/17/2017 I went to Stone Fire Grill for a "Salad Special " The BALD manager and the one of the cashiers (ANNE B ) accused me of STEALING LEMONADE in front of every one. I went to Stone Fire Grill for lunch around 12:00. I ordered my salad and went to my table. one of the waiter brought my salad. I thanked her and starting eating my salad. While i was eating my salad, the manager came and started talking about my 1.0 litter bottle of water, which had BCAA'S.(AMINO ACIDS) in it. He started talking about me having LEMONADE IN IT... basically stating i filled up my 1.0 litter of bottle form their restaurant in front of everyone. I explained and told him in detail about taking my BCAA'S to work, restaurants and 24hr Fitness. I told him couple times in very nice and professional way, If he does not believe me? He is more than welcome to drink my BCAA'S. I told him to go and grab a cup of water and try it yourself. He didn't and kept taking about me stealing lemonade from their restaurant. After realizing, he was wrong and he messed up... he started saying how was sorry.....BLAH BLAH..... I have taken my bottle with me in different restaurants in Irvine. NO ONE has ever asked me or my friends about caring my bottle in a restaurant. I don't want this to happen to someone else. I am very disappointed. This was the first time we've been to Stonefire Grill. Ordered the Baby Back Ribs and Tri Tip (half mesquite and half pepper garlic) along with salad, garlic mashed potatoes and freshly baked breadsticks. While the Baby Back Ribs were tender, they were not fall off the bone delicious. And their signature BBQ sauce wasn't tasty at all. In fact, we pretty much ate the ribs without extra sauce. The garlic mashed potatoes were too cold and you can find huge chunks of potatoes in this side. The breadsticks were the best. The employees there are very friendly but not much service is offered. After you order, they bring the food to you once it's ready but they are not readily available otherwise. Drinks, napkins, extra sauce are all self-serve behind the counters. read more

Fine dining: No With that being said this is my favorite place to eat in Irvine. If you like salads, you will love Stonefire Grill. They have about a dozen or so to try from. Beware, the portions are huge so for even 2 people you need a small. I mean, for my taste I go there with my friends and usually get a salad and a soda and it runs about 10 bucks, and sometimes I'll take hope the leftovers. The breadsticks are very good and are 25 cents a pop. The soup and mash potatoes are especially good as well. Id say my favorite salads are the South of The Border and The BBQ Salad. Im never generally dying to eat meat, but my friends have gotten the tri tip and chicken and meals and what not and everything is generally pretty decent. They have lunch specials now which are generally pretty good and even more affordable. So for pizza, salad, and meet at a decent price this is your place Also this place generally has a ton of seating so its usually very easy to get a comfortable booth. First time was the Recession buster where you get a big salad, either greens or Caesar and a whole chicken, BBQ or Garlic Onion, and a pizza for about 20.00 more or less...Wow, all good. Second time was a couple days ago and I got the Tri Tip dinner with salad and breadsticks and garlic mash potatoes...OMG, the Tri Tip was awesome...they asked me how I would like it and said Medium and that is what I got, sooo juicy, great BBQ sauce and more if you ask for more...I got about 12 slices for like 8-9 dollars.
