Did takeout for a graduation family event and was hugely disappointed. Arrived on time to pick up the order only to wait 10 minutes for breadsticks while the meat was ready. Needless to say when I got home all the meat was lukewarm. Too make matters worse, the tri-tip was extremely gristly and was like eating rubber. The ribs were extremely dry and the salad was flavorless. Overall, an awful experience. I will never patronize Stone Fire Grill again. read more

We had Stonefire Grill cater for our wedding on 11/19 and they were awesome!! They are such a great price and the food is great!! They showed up on time and made the table very presentable. All of our guest complimented the food and really enjoyed themselves. Thank you Stonefire! read more

Simply put Stonefire has the best service I have ever experienced without a true wait staff. Everyone was so attentive either seeing if we have been helped or how our food was. The cauliflower pita was fantastic and the accompanying homemade potato chips. What a pleasant surprise walking away so happy with our dining experience read more

I love their spinach salad! I have been a loyal customer for over a decade since they were close to my office. So happy they are opening a location closer to my house. read more

Great food for the price. Love coming here for lunch. The service is quick and the food is great. Their tri-tip and chicken combination is the best. read more

Love this place! The Bbq chicken is my fav and peppercorn Trip tip . It also comes with salad and bread. Can't beat that for $12. Everything here is fresh as well. read more

I've been there before and had a much better experience than what I had tonight. Salmon was with swimming in a citrus sauce too acidic and with too much salt. We also ordered tri-tip that was supposed to be medium rare. Instead it was well done and was soft like has been cooked too long. The mashed potatoes were respectable, the salad average, and the tortilla soup didn't resemble anything like tortilla soup but more like a squash soup. I seriously doubt we'll be back. read more

We came here for lunch with 3 of my coworkers . I ordered the tri tip with chicken my coworker ordered he new sea bass with quinoa. Chicken was good but the tri tip was rather chewy and lacked any flavor. My coworkers Sea bass had bones in it and was rather flavorless. Quinoa was cold which was a little odd. Needless to say my coworker did not care for the dish and left most of it behind . A woman came to pick up our dishes and asked how everything was. We told her my coworker hated the dish and she noticed that most of the food was untouched. All she said was "sorry about that" and proceeded to clean the table. Absolutely no attempt at guest recovery . All of us were less than impressed and will definitely not be back read more

Go for the Tri tip. We had a department staff lunch here and everyone enjoyed the tri tip. We also had their mashed potatoes to share and it was great. We ordered individual plates. I had Tri tip and I have also had their chicken. The group was very happy with their food. Seating is limited for large groups unless you get there early to put tables together. You order food at the front and seat yourself. read more

My family and I have been going to the Irvine Stonefire for about 5 years. We can feed a family of four for about $35 with leftovers. Each of us is so picky with completely different tastes so finding a place we all enjoy has never been easy. But this place meets all of our criteria. We love the buttery garlic bread sticks! I love the salads, especially their BBQ Chopped Chicken Salad. My husband says their tri-tip is great. My boys usually get the pizza and ribs. And everyone leaves happy! Their desserts are really yummy and come in large portions! The carrot cake is super tasty and moist (maybe because of all the pineapple?) A heads up: We've noticed it can be pretty cold in there, not sure why, even my husband who is usually hot says he can count on freezing when he goes there. So I recommend bringing a light jacket. read more

I am in love with the BBQ Chicken breast. The chicken is so moist and tender, mmmmm. The sauce has just enough kick to keep a person dipping. And as for my personal favorite, their Cowboy Beans drive my taste buds nuts! Boy are they good. Great eating experience. read more

The best word I can use to describe our dining experience at the Stonefire Grill is "Meh". The service folk were not friendly and the prices were pretty steep. This would have been more agreeable if the place were a full service restaurant. It is not. It is more like a glorified Hometown Buffet. After getting our plates, I asked if there was any Parmesan cheese and the service person told me I could find it on the other side of the joint on a counter and pointed to it. read more

We've been coming here a lot - food and service has been okay, but the food preparers at this location really seem to love blue cheese... great, unless someone in your party is allergic to it. :/ On our last two visits, the salads have been wilty (not freshly tossed) and the Cobb had blue cheese in it even though we specifically asked for it without. That we had to take back and got a freshly made (yay non-wilted lettuce) one instead. Today our tri-tip came with blue cheese on it??? I see on the menu that the pepper garlic tri-tip comes with Gorgonzola butter, but this was definitely blue cheese. Husband's looking a bit green after taking a small bite... Mental note for next time to stick to BBQ tri-tip! Edit/addendum: did some research (aka Google) - I am not a cheese person so I had no clue that Gorgonzola is a type of blue cheese. :0 Now we know to really stick to the BBQ version of the meats! read more

Food was delicious. Ordered the stimulus package with Caesar salad, breadsticks, cheese pizza and tri-tip. Also ordered side of mashed garlic potatoes and macaroni and cheese. Salad and bread sticks came out right away and we're amazing. Tri-tip and the rest of the meal came shortly after and we're just as good. Place was clean and not too busy (we went around 5:30) staff wasn't too helpful when ordering which made it difficult especially since it was our 1st time there. Overall this place was good and my family and I would will be coming back! read more

Stonefire never fails you! It's great for a meal with family or friends visiting Irvine or just when you want a casual meal. The set-up is mostly self service but the cashiers and staff is all very friendly and work hard to accommodate your needs quickly. Food here is always very good. The tritip is tastier when eaten quickly while it's still hot. The Caesar salad and breadsticks is probably pretty fattening from all the seasoning and dressing on it but it's still deeeeelicious and super fresh, very worth what you pay!! The price is pretty decent too. I get the packages with my friends or whoever I'm there with and you usually end up paying $10-15 to get super stuffed with good quality food. Overall makes for a good dining experience. read more

I ordered food for 12 people a day ahead of when I needed it. Went to pick it up today and they are "closed." No sign. Just a locked door. I called from the parking lot and was put on hold, waiting for a manager. Never spoke to a manager. When another customer pounded on the door someone opened the door. (We could see employees sitting inside.) The employee told me that they had a power outage at 1:30. I would not get my order. I checked my email and at 2:30 they sent an email that there was a "problem processing my order." They had my phone number but just emailed. I was driving to the location so didn't see the email. The girl was rude. I asked if I'd been charged. She said, "I don't think so. You shouldn't be." She closed the door in my face. If I had been notified in a timely manner I could have arranged for another location. Or better yet, they could have offered that. Needless to say we will never patronize this restaurant ever again. read more

Tri tip was pretty good, ribs were awful...the opposite of fall-off-the-bone. Beans were undercooked, almost firm on the middle...like it needed another 3 hours of cook time. Prices are kinda high for what you're getting and the setting that it's in. Better options in Irvine for that price point. read more

Very good, pasta and chicken are delicious. Fair prices and good service plus value. I recommend if you want to have a good food in semi- fast food place. read more

I just had my foos delivered througb Postmates not too long ago. Breakdown: first of all where are the utensils... And no napkin? I personally do Postmates and I noticed that when j check the orders it was missing those items the couple of deliveries i had made. Baked Beans: the worst ive had...it dles nkt remotely taste of baked beans,... It tastes like chili Tri-Tip: the meat was cold not even very luke warm.. Difficult to eat due to it beinf super super chewy not very tender and easy to eat Breadsticks: not bad Salad the same Mashed : eh so so well not great either chunks kf potatoes that werenr cooked fully enough to smash it down more I live super close at the San Remo apartments there should be no reason why my food was so cold/lukewarm Really disappointed with the food overall.. I would come to the restaurant living so close but I rewlly restricted on time. read more

Both my friend and I chose the quarter chicken with tri-tip for lunch today. The chicken was tender and the meat was delicious. We were pleased with the service when the server brought our food to our table (we were expecting to pick them up at the counter). Should have given them a bigger tip for that. Well, maybe next time. Bon Appetit! read more

We have been to this restaurant many times in the past, especially during these challenging times of Covid. The food was fresh, delicious, and prepared perfectly. Unfortunately, this experience was not the same. Has something changed? My salad was limp and my husband's pizza was dry and burned. It was a busy evening. We saw lots of customers coming and going. Maybe there needs to be some more attention to the food preparation. read more

Great restaurant, love the food!! Definitely recommend the tomesto and breadsticks. Food came out prompt and hot!! Amazing service as well, our server Monet was great :) read more

The kale salad is the best. Lunch special with this and the breadstick, can't go wrong! Healthy and tasty! Only thing is, the wait time can get a little bit long during the lunch hour so if you can make it a few minutes earlier, it will save you some time. read more

Amazing food with good pricing too. The tri tip was so soft and delicious. Also shared a bbq chicken pizza which I loved too

We just finished our office catered luncheon and received many compliments from our team. Not only how great the food was but the service provided was over the top. Highly recommend using them for any type of event. read more

Always such great quality! We've ordered family meals a few times during covid and the quality is always great. The delivery from their website is via 3rd parties and still extremely quick. Can't wait to order again soon! read more

First time eating here and the it was so-so. I like the speed we were greeted at the door. The tri-tip was pretty delicious as was the chicken. But I am not sure if it was just me or was it a little cold? It also took me a while to get my food (though we did arrive at a busy time) The prices were great and service was above average. All in all, it was a pleasant experience, though I might return to see if my so-so experience was an oddity. read more

The staff here is amazing. The manager omg so nice. She even have me a cheesecake and it wasn't my birthday after I told the truth that it wasn't. This place was sad. I am sad. We are all sad. The reviews seemed so happy. The reality so sad. This place is weird. When you walk in, you order and pay at the same time so you end up with lots of people milling about in a pile reading menus. You also pretip which is never a good sign. The hostess who took our order was awesome, nice and competent. You get your own dishes and silverware which were dirty. We were looking for a good BBQ place to replace e Lucille's which has gone downhill. This place is definitely not it. I have never, in the history of ever, not finished an order of ribs. I only age half of these. My tears of shame washed the rest. The tri tip was like chewing on my shoe. The bread sticks seemed like something you would buy frozen at the grocery store and heat up in the microwave. The mashed potatoes were decent, but they had a hair in them. This isnt the worst place I've eaten, but it's one of the most mediocre. read more

The staff and service here is outstanding !! Not to mention how amazing all the food taste. The quality of ingredients have always been consistent and they don't skimp on the portions. Love this place. So glad they renovated their outdoor patio area. I typically get the lunch special with lemon garlic chicken and a salad or quinoa. For dinner I typically get the petite chicken and tri tip. Their breadsticks are to die for. And their kids Mac and cheese is AMAZING!! Also love that they carry Paradise iced tea. It's my favorite! read more

This place has great food. The best margarita pizza I've ever had. Must have it with their ranch. More of the reason I write this review is because of the great service I get here and at any stonefire grill. I've literally never had a bad experience here. I commented this to the manager, a lady with short dark hair and glasses. Who was also really nice. Long story short, come here for great food and great service. read more

If you're in LA looking for a place to eat with your family, Stonefire grill is the place for you! The portions are huge, the prices are very reasonable, and the food is just delicious! We ordered the medium salad that is enough for 4 people very tasty dressing, the soup is just amaingg with the cheese and chicken thinking about it is mouth watering. The bread sticks and of course to top everything is the barbecue tri tip, cooked and seasoned perfectly very tender meat.
