Bahn Banh Mi - Crispy Pork Belly Spicy Beef Noodle Soup -Bn b Hu
    Timothy F.

I have been a regular here since they opened, they have great pho, great bun Bo hue, and bahn mi. Very decently priced and great amounts of serving. The staff is amazing. It is in a slight ghetto side of Vallejo, but it's Vallejo. The inside is very spacious, but my only complaint is it smells in here, like a bathroom, and not talking about the food. I always come back though because the food is amazing!

Pretty good place to get Vietnamese/southeast Asian food. You walk in and start ordering at the kiosk, then the server gives you a number and then take a seat. Overall service was pretty fast. Ambiance is clean with watercolors of Vietnam. We had the combination number 1 and the pad Thai combination. Both really tasty. Only downside was the bathroom smelled a little off, kind of like something old had passed away in there. Can't really put my finger on it but it didn't have a clean smell.

Had the Pork Belly Sandwich, Oh my Gosh the right amount of crunch , spice, flavor , Amazing!!! Almost ordered the Garlic Noodles or calamari, but didn't want to get too full, now I regret it since I live all the way in Napa, but it will be worth the drive back to Vallejo!

My go to place for Pho. I order every time I'm not feeling well or just in the mood for Pho. Always quick to deliver thru delivery apps. Food is delicious. Favs are the chicken pho & the build your own rice plate with tumeric chicken & garlic fried rice! I feel like this place is slept on in the community for pho.

Lemongrass beef bun bowl + egg roll & Mongolian beef clay pot - both delicious

The staff was warm & friendly & greeted us right away. We ordered the Mongolian beef clay pot & lemongrass beef bun bowl with strawberry lemonade. Both were delicious with generous size portions & reasonably priced as well. The Mongolian beef was so good and I loved how hot it stayed in the clay pot. The space doesn't look like much from the outside but inside it's very open with lots of natural light. My one complaint about the ambiance is there is an air freshener behind the counter which mixes with the smell of food so it's kind of weird. Other than that this place was great. Definitely would be back to try more dishes.

    Closing Date

Closed - Last day was July 25th, 2025 One of the few places to get really good Bahn MI and actual claypot rice. Never had a bad meal there.

I've gone here a few times for Bon needs and they're great incredible fast and really fresh. I also go here for Vietnamese iced coffee. It's close by Kaiser. They're fast and the coffee is so good and I'm really picky. Every time I've gone everyone that works there so nice highly recommend.

Their garlic noodles taste like garlic bread. So that's a yum! I liked their crispy pork belly and the lemongrass tofu. My roommate had their bahn mi. We shared the spring rolls. Appreciated the freshness of the veggies. The spring rolls tasted fresh and had shrimp but was missing the pork that I'm used to. However the portion size was large. The bahn mi sandwich was decent. The bread isn't that fresh crispy and chewy baguette that symbolizes a good bahn mi. Overall we enjoyed the food. But it's not a place I would say "you have to eat there." We would go again and definitely like to support local businesses. Next time will try their pho.

Aside from the great comfort food, I love how simple it is to create a custom plate. The dishes are hearty with plenty of veggies, noodles, and meat. Have been here twice after being at Kaiser. The restaurant is warm and inviting. The staff is always friendly and the food is quickly prepared. I would like to see their parking lot lighted better.

Vegetarian - B4 tofu bahn mi. Soft Vietnamese baguette with all the fixins. Did I mention soft bread? Recommend.

*** Vegetarian Review *** You can ask for vegetarian dipping sauce and no pate (pork liver spread). Service - 5/5 stars. You order at the counter and Marie was super friendly and mentioned they have a vegetarian dipping sauce. Food - 4/5 stars. I tried three dishes. All good to very good. One of which I will be ordering on the regular. Parking - 5/5. Dedicated parking lot. Location - About 5 minutes away from Marine World so it's very easy to escape for a much better meal. Would I Eat Here Again? Yes. And since they have a vegetarian dipping sauce, I will be able to try other items. Comparison - Huong Lan in Sacramento is still the king of bahn mi because they have fake meats. However, this place is very similar to Duc Huong in Sacramento so that's pretty darn good. B4 Tofu Bahn Mi ($7.95, Grade A) - The Vietnamese baguette was warm and soft. The fixins were fresh and flavorful. Careful if you can't handle hot because those sliced jalapeños packed a bunch. The tofu had a nice marinade and they were generous in their potions. Good "meat" to bread ratios from your first bite to your last. Highly recommended. Build Your Own Rice Bowl (10.95, Grade B+) - I enjoyed the garlic fried rice for an additional 75-cents, but it was a tad too garlic-heavy. The tofu was surprisingly flavored differently than the bahn mi which shows some chef skills. Marie says it has lemon grass and I asked if they could remove it, but that wasn't possible. However, I couldn't taste or smell any lemongrass in the dish at all. Comes with a Vietnamese slaw. Although I enjoyed it, I wouldn't order this again. Appetizer / Fried Veggie Tofu Egg rolls ($7.95, Grade A) - comes in a serving of 3 eggrolls cut in half and fried golden brown. Make sure to request the veggie dipping sauce. I have to believe these are homemade because I've yet to come across a vegetarian frozen egg roll that had a thick piece of tofu inside. Carrots, onions, taro root, glass noodles, mushrooms, and egg also contribute to my suspicion these are made in house. I would order again. Bottom line. I will definitely come back. This is definitely the best bahn mi in Vallejo and the service was fast and friendly.

    Claypot Rice with shrimp
    Happyand B.

As I was walking home from the bus stop, I was walking past this restaurant and the smell took me by surprise and it smelled good. I went in and order the clay pot with shrimp. It was so delicious. The customer service was really great. The food was nice and hot when it came out I didn't have to wait a long time to Make my order so I would definitely recommend going to this place. It's big it's clean.

I love Southeast Asian food, more specifically Vietnamese food which reminds me of home in SoCal. We went here before a wine tasting in Napa and this filled us right up so we were ready to go. I ordered their claypot rice with an order of pork egg rolls on the side. The egg rolls were tasty, but smaller than I had hoped and didn't come with any veggies on the side like most restaurants. The rice claypot was the highlight of my meal and my friends commented it seemed like one of their best options. They also had a variety of other foods like banh mis, pho, noodle plates, and other offerings. They do some fusion here like sisig in the sandwiches, so maybe I'll try those out next time around. Service was quick and fast. We ordered at a counter and they brought it out to the table. The atmosphere was really casual and great for simple meals with family & friends or groups if they're not too busy.

Bo Spicy Beef Noodle Soup -Bn b Hu
    John F.

I came to Stockpot for the first time with my family on a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant was pretty empty and spacious. Definitely a lot more clean/well kept than other Asian restaurants I've been to. The staff was pretty friendly too. I ordered the bun Bo hue (spicy beef noodle soup) and the bbq pork bahn mi. It was my first time trying bun Bo hue and I was not disappointed. The flavor is pretty similar to pho, but a little less flavorful, more spicy, and more oily. The bbq pork bahn mi was also delicious, but pretty standard compared to other bahn mid I've tried. Honestly, I would give the food 4 stars, but due to their generous portions and kind staff, I believe stockpot deserves 5 stars! I will be back.

This place is located in a small multi tenant shopping center located near the entrance of Hiddenbrooke with ample parking-so that was nice. This restaurant is for sure a local restaurant that serves the Hiddenbrooke community with most of their patrons being locals from the community. That was what we found upon arrival, most of the customers did seem to be locals in for a quick lunch. I would describe this place as an Asian fusion restaurant.-the depth of their menu was surprising-like "Cheesecake Factory-esque" level depth of menu.Their sushi menu was many pages and I hadn't even planned on getting sushi but after looking at this menu,I had to try something-so went with a simple Spicy Tuna Roll ($12.95). Off the Thai menu we decided to go with the Trio Meat Fried Rice ($20.95) Virgin Drunken Noodle ($18.95) Pad See U ($16.95) and Drunken Noodle ($16.95) Well I don't consider myself an expert when it comes to Asian fusion but I've had it more than a handful of times-so I can say with confidence that the food here was pretty good- very tasty-the Virgin Drunken Noodles were Interesting due to their use of glass noodles-the beef in that dish was seasoned well.I ordered my Drunken Noodles spicy and for that they delivered, quite a spicy dish. The Pad See U had really good veggies on it-very tasty and snappy. The Spicy Tuna Roll was pretty standard-the highlight being I somehow got my mother to try sushi for the 1st time by eating a piece of this sushi roll-she didn't hate it which I think is a pretty good review from a 73 year old Native American woman trying sushi for the 1st time. In closing,if u ever find yourself out in the Vallejo or Hiddenbrooke area and you want to give a small local business a try-this place is a pretty good choice-with a menu this big, your bound to find something on there that will make you happy. PS....I forgot to say I really enjoyed the house hot sake-pretty good flavor and perfect item to warm you up in this cold winter times we are in.

*** Vegetarian Review ***…read more None of their dishes have fish sauce so you don't get knocked over the head with the smell when you walk in. They remind me every time I order, but as a vegetarian, we've all had that fish smell delivered to us at a Thai restaurant at least once (probably twice, more likely three times) in our eating lifetimes. It is such a relief to not have to worry about that here. Would I Come Back? Yes, when I'm in town, I make it a point to come here. Did I mention they don't use fish sauce!? Parking is is incredibly easy so that's never an issue. It's a shared parking lot with many stores and other restaurants. I typically go on a Sunday for lunch, and even with a party of 5, I haven't had to wait for a table. Seating capacity is probably 45-50 guests so if you're planning a large party, definitely best to call ahead and make a reservation. The Food: Roti & Yellow Curry ($14, Grade A+): Fried roti with a yellow curry dipping sauce. It's a super savory dish, and honestly, I should have had you at "fried." If you're wondering what roti is, think of it as a buttery, flaky, pan-fried flatbread. It's large enough appetizer to share with 3 people, but you're pushing your luck with 4. Pad Thai with Fried Tofu ($16, Grade A): I've had this dish 5 times now. To be completely transparent, it's the exact reason why I can't give Pearl Thai a full 5-star rating, purely because of consistency. The first time I got it, it was perfect. The second and third times, it had no sauce and was dry. The fourth time, I asked them to make it saucy, and they obliged to an almost soupy level. For this fifth time, I just ordered it straight up and zipped my lip on any alterations. As they say, the fifth time was a charm! When it's made with the perfect amount of sauce, this dish is excellent. The noodles have that exact texture you look for in a pad thai, and the egg gets that great scorch from the wok for an added layer of flavor. Also, the tofu has been incredibly fresh every single time. It never tastes slightly spoiled, which happens a lot in smaller towns that don't heavily support plant-based diets where tofu just sits in a fridge eagerly awaiting someone to order it. Mixed Vegetables ($14, Grade A): Sautéed wood ear mushrooms and mixed vegetables in a garlic soy sauce. If you've ever had Pad Pak, you already know this flavor profile. I really enjoyed it, but next time I'll ask for no carrots and maybe half the garlic. Overall, it's a perfect dish that absolutely requires steamed rice to soak up all that great flavor. Sweet Sticky Rice with Mango ($8, Grade A): The classic dessert we see at all Thai restaurants, but they serve it with purple sticky rice, making it a visually yummy dish. It's plenty of food to share between two people. Bottom Line: The service here is great and very friendly. It's a small, local shop with "Best in Town" awards highlighted on the walls. The environment is clean, and the food is served hot and arrives at the table quick. One Last Word: Don't leave here without ordering the roti with yellow curry for an appetizer. Pure savory goodness!

She intimidated them by asking loudly why they were wasting food by not eating. My guests said they didn't enjoy the food, to which she replied that they're wasting food. How could anyone enjoy food that's inedible? She certainly did not give cause for us or our friends to step inside that eatery again. (1 of 5) Grace, server: Poor Grace looked pressured. She tried her best to accommodate us but I think she was 'shut-down' by her boss. I decided the restaurant did not deserve a tip but our server did so I pushed the tip inside her pocket. Grace mentioned that the chef is new and she would try and see if they can do something with our check. They did not and even raise the cost on one of the dishes we ordered. The price on the menu is lower that what they charged. This was an eatery we frequented for years and we usually enjoy the food here. Since we moved, we haven't visited it but our family still lives in that neighborhood so we decided to meet there for dinner. They don't take reservations but the eatery was half empty for a dinner-time seating. We sat down and was presented with their menu, which haven't changed much so it was easy to order our meal. We ordered Crab Wonton, Potstickers, Singapore-style Rice Noodles, Orange Chicken, Bulgogi. None of the dishes came with rice, so we ordered a bowl of rice. One of our guests wanted wine. Our server said the wine menu is not available, so we decided to get the house-wine. Our server returned to say the bartender is not on duty and we couldn't get even the house wine. I asked for hot water which never arrived. (1 of 5) Crab Wonton: This fried appetizer should have a crispy exterior filled with a creamy, savory mixture of cream cheese and crab meat (whether real or imitation). They are deep-fried until golden and served with sweet-and-sour sauce. The subtle seafood flavor is not quite there and the filling did not fill the parcel. The sauce here could be found on any grocery shelf but that's okay. I opened up the rest of the wonton for two reasons: (1) I wanted to see if some of them were filled, and (2) to make sure they don't serve these to unsuspecting diners. (1 of 5) Potstickers: These crescent-shaped dumplings should feature a savory filling with cabbage and ginger. They are pan-fried to produce a golden, crispy bottom and then steamed, creating a tender top, resulting in a dual-texture, savory, and aromatic bite. Although the dumplings looked good on the outside, it tasted gooey - not juicy. (1 of 5) Singapore-style Rice Noodles: I was very disappointed with my order. It tasted like the chef just poured curry powder over the top instead of cooking it in. It tasted gritty and the noodles lacked any savory nor aromatic notes. It should have a slightly spicy curry flavor but I did not taste any of that. There was no smoky or comforting yumminess to this dish. I feel that even a few drops of soy sauce would have elevated this dish - giving it an umami taste. I'm giving it a 2 because they used the right noodles. (2 of 5) Orange Chicken: This bite-sized pieces of battered, fried chicken tossed in a sweet, tangy, and savory orange-flavored sauce should boast a crispy, sticky texture with a bright citrus aroma from orange juice and zest. Instead, it had none of the garlicky, gingery, or slightly heated profile. There was no depth nor flavor at all. The dish wasn't well-balanced. (1 of 5) Bulgogi: This was the best dish we tasted this evening. The meat was tender and cut correctly. It had a mild and savory marinade but was under-seasoned. It missed the garlicky and nutty caramelized, smoky flavor. It came ala carte, like the orange chicken we ordered. They didn't even offer lettuce leaves, which usually accompany bulgogi. (2 of 5) Rice: Like the name says, the rice was on the sticky side - but cooked through. (3 of 5)

Run by small family, this place continues to shine and delight our tastebuds. There was literally no customer unhappy upon leaving, everyone had smiles and vowed to return to try other items. This place offers a wide array of Korean ramen, where you can cook your bowl with some sort of induction and steamer features and a variety of add-ons. I've never tried but it looks interesting. The chicken is sooo good, crunchy, flavorful and organically sourced. Cooked to order, just great. The fries, oh my so good perfect combination of garlic fries with pops of fried shrimp in this wonderful creamy sauce lemon and cheezy, yum! Trust me you'll want to return. Stopped by Frymazing for lunch (Friday)for the first time and really enjoyed it!…read more The place is clean, and the ambiance has a cool, modern vibe, hip and welcoming. The woman who took our order was super pleasant, and we never felt rushed while deciding what to get, which I always appreciate. I went with the combo and was happy with everything. The soy garlic chicken had great flavor--I'd probably ask for extra sauce next time because it was that good. The potstickers were nice and crispy with a really satisfying crunch, and full of flavor. The bulgogi was also delicious and cooked just right. Overall, a great first visit and I'll definitely be back to try more!
