I came here recently and it wasn't very busy, so I got my food really quickly. I can't speak on how fast service is when they're packed, but my experience was smooth. For the price, I think it's fair. The pho portion is filling and the bowl can be shared depending on the person. I shared one bowl with my partner and it was enough, but not quite enough. If you're splitting with someone who doesn't eat much (or sharing with a child), one bowl can work. But for two adults, I'd recommend getting two bowls. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The restaurant also seemed clean -- no bad smells or anything out of the ordinary. As for the food, it was solid. I have been to this location so many times in my young adult life. Consistent broth for their pho and it's very rich and generous in portions. I never had an issue with this pho spot. My wife got a bowl of Pho noodles with just the meatballs, I got #46 on the menu which was the pork with vermicelli noodles and our daughter had the children's bowl. I enjoyed mine, but my wife was disappointed in hers. She says it wasn't real Pho broth with anise and that in only tasted like regular beef broth from a can. My wife is a Pho connoisseur. It's been her "go-to" for the last 40 years in several states and dozens of cities. She left half the bowl and didn't bother to ask for a to-go container. Bummed for her because she paid for our $70 meal with the expensive appetizers and left hungry. She thinks we may have arrived too late in the evening, and by that time they may have watered down the broth or added canned broth to stretch the pho out to the end. And for years, it was the ONLY pho restaurant he would accept lol Lately, we've been ordering to-go as it's a bit more cost effective than Door Dashing, and we enjoy eating in the comfort of our own home. We've eaten here countless times and never been disappointed! For take-out pho, the key is to warm up the noodles and broth separately when you get home, so you have a nice piping hot bowl! This place used to be one of my favorite places to eat but after today I will not be going back. I ordered pho with beef, brisket, and flank. When I asked the server to show me where it was on the menu, she said "it's not on the menu, we'll make it for you". This automatically threw up a red flag in my head as I've ordered it many times before but couldn't locate it on the menu. They proceed to bring out my food, at first glance everything looks good. About half way through my meal I notice some of the meat at the bottom looks like tendon or tripe, which I do not eat. I addressed this with the staff and they became extremely argumentative, stating that it is beef, and brought out the cook who stated there he did not put tendon in my meal. I absolutely love this place. You really can't go wrong here. You order and pay at the front. You seat yourself, and within 10 minutes, it seems your food is right there in front of you. I got this order to go and even with thar. I called in...it is very efficient. It appears to be family owned, and everyone is very friendly. This is my favorite place! I love their rice plates but am sure their pho is even better. I come here at least once a week if not 2-3x. The staff is so friendly and quick. The restaraunt appears very clean & I trust what they got Going on in their kitchen! They always get my order right and have really fresh ingredients. Even with the hot weather, we craved for hot noodles and instead of spring rolls we ordered fried shrimp rolls. You can never go wrong with your order as they are referenced with numbers and the descriptions just underneath each choice. Service was fast after a few minutes from ordering. Pho is a comfort food for me and egg noodles are my favorite. The soup was hot, the veggies fresh and crisp and the noodles still firm but falls short of being tender. They put those rubber looking ligaments in there, tough as a rubber. They are always often out of basil like today. If you are trying to get protein into your diet, skip this place. Soup was good but the meat was not edible, too tough. Noodles were though, I got the fat noodles, they were all sticking together and difficult to separate. There are 2 slices jalapeño, a handful of bean sprout and 6 twigs of cilantro, a slice of lime. Plus tip it came to almost $24. 90% of meat were hard as rubber, I put them in that little plate as you can see the waste. What are you guys doing back there??? First time trying Pho & it did not miss a mark ! Perfect for the cold weather. Menu is has a lot of options for everybody's taste buds. It is also helpful that menu has lots of pictures to show what you are ordering, definitely helped for a first timer like myself. The restaurant is kept clean and staff is friendly. Shared a medium size bowl of beef pho between two people and it was a pretty good portion size. Definitely could have got our own to enjoy. I've been going here since this place opened, it's my family's favorite place to go to but in my opinion it's just alright and mediocre. Though it's not bad. I would only go here if I'm back at my parents' house and if I'm really craving for pho. Fairfield doesn't have many good options for pho anyway. My usual is the #2 beef pho, sometimes the beef is chewy and the tendons aren't the kind that melt in your mouth. The noodles aren't cooked well either, the past few times I've been here they came out a little slimy and mushy. The broth is okay but tastes watered down. I ordered the A8/grilled meat ball roll and really liked it. It's Vietnamese sausage with lettuce wrapped with pickles inside. Getting seated was confusing because in the past the workers would greet you, show you where to sit and hand you the menu. I was standing around for 5+ minutes only to find out that you have to order at the front first and they'll tell you which table to sit at. There used to be chili oil for condiments too but doesn't seem like they have it anymore at each table. :( The service is eh, they will bring you your water and food and that's it. They don't really check on you, so we had to flag down a waiter and ask for more water. But that's like most pho places anyway. read more

Food was good. seafood was so so there was just a little bit of shrimp maybe three pieces of shrimp one piece of imitation crab, and none of the other things that were listed on the menu that was supposed to be in the seafood egg noodle was in the soup. The garlic was not really part of garlic. There's a little piece of garlic skin hard stuff that wasn't edible parts of the garlic .... Ya. This place hits the spot when you're in need of a quick noodle fix. It's far from the best, but also far from the worst. Prices have risen considerably since they first opened but quality has remained consistent. Each table has extra sauces (hoisin, fish sauce, sriracha, and chili oil), napkins and chop sticks. I'm not a fan of these items sitting out, especially during a pandemic, but I guess a digital menu was enough change for them. Their Thai tea and fruit smoothies always taste so fresh, and they pair well with soups or rice plates. Their meatball spring roll app is my go to. It's just nice to have a different option from the regular shrimp spring roll you commonly see. Wings are now 4 pieces instead of 5. I placed 2 pick up orders last week and they made sure to let me know about the change in the wings. Their fried egg rolls are decent and a nice thick size. Both use to be served with a few pickled carrots and daikon, but not anymore. I suppose they're making cuts wherever they possibly can. This is the closest pho spot to me, so it's one we frequent often. If you order to go, they do include a bag of veggies for your soup (like, jalapeño, basil, cilantro) as well as sauce packets (sriracha and hoisin). If you want chili oil, you'll have to ask for a sauce container and pack it yourself from one of their dining tables. read more
