Great experience with Step Moving & Storage! Chino, Mark, and Dida were professional, friendly, and worked very efficiently. They handled all of our furniture and belongings carefully, wrapped everything properly, and organized the truck really well. The entire move took only 3 hours, which was faster than I expected. They were so great! They showed up on time, worked very hard, and helped us with un-mounting our TV's and re-mounting the TV's at our new home. They also handled our stuff super well. I highly recommend them for any moving needs.

I hired them for a one bedroom move. They were pretty quick, which was nice and the only reason they have even 2 stars. When they arrived to the new location, they wouldn't unload until I paid, even though the job wasn't done yet. They said they were charging for 3 hours, which was the minimum. They were unloading and there were 2 of their wardrobe boxes left unpacked. They said they were thinking about leaving the boxes, with no charge, or if I wanted they could unpack them. I asked to have them unpacked. They went back outside, I thought to continue unloading, but no, they left without saying a word and without unpacking the two boxes. After they left, I was unpacking and moving boxes out of the way, and saw my couch. Before they brought it over it was clean, it arrived dirty and had dirty hand prints and a large smudge of something. I contacted the company on yelp and sent pictures. They said they would talk to the team and get back to me. I messaged again after a week or two to follow up and no response. Very disappointed, can't recommend.

Hired Space Y Moving to help me move some furniture I purchased. Rate was a good price and the contract had normal fees for large items and double drive time rate etc. The two men Dennis and I believe Antonio were very nice to me. They finished the job in the same time I anticipated so they were efficient. One thing I will complain about is that they would not assemble my bed without trying to charge me additional money even though the contract stated disassembly and reassembly of non appliance type items. First they said they'd assemble it for $400 which was insane when I said no id do it myself he tried to say he'd do it for $100. Not sure why I needed to pay additional money when the contract stated assembly but I declined and built it myself. Took me less than 40 minutes to just screw a couple bolts and slide slats in by myself. Very scammy. Although the rate was good and service was fast I don't appreciate them thinking they could scam me into additional charges when the service should've already been provided. If you do book with them just double check your contract and verify they're not trying to charge you extra.

Allan and Johnny were amazing!!! We had a last minute urgent need to hoist a furniture up to the third floor, from the moment I contacted them, to the straight forward flat fee quote to how quickly they came out and how carefully and perfectly and fast they finished the job. 1000% recommended!

Step was great! I've moved 3 times in the last 3 years and these guys were great. They were efficient, careful and had zero complaints even though it was 100 degrees outside and a very long day. I'd definitely use them again! Thank you guys!

Firstly, they pressure you into writing the review when they're there at the end of the service. Do not do this until you have checked all your belongings! And it's clearly why they have such great reviews. Initially, I thought these guys were great! Arrived promptly, started to load. Then the slow down happened... they wasted significant time dismantling furniture. They do didn't bring their own tools (or were out of battery) to do this. I was watching the clock, hours on hours. It took over 8 hours to move a 2 bedroom apartment from the ground floor. I paid for their lunch break, inclusive of food, and all this was added to the cost, and didn't complain about it. Here comes the fun bit. Upon arrival to my new apartment, the tv was unwrapped, so assumed it was fine, until it wasn't and there was clearly damage. They have been less than helpful in resolving the matter, so avoid Space-Y movers!! There are plenty of other moving companies to go with in LA, I would suggest you use them instead!! *UPDATE: reported the issue the morning after the move, so as the lead Jake suggested, a timely manner was done. Do not listen to them.

Rassel and Aiden first texted and let me know when they will arrive at my place. After they have arrived, they came to my unit for a walk through to get an idea of how much items to move as well as what equipment they need for the move. They both were efficient in getting the items moved to the truck as quickly as possible. Once ready for the drive time to the moving destination, they texted me to inform start time for the drive time. Next at the destination, they again move as efficiently as possible to get the items all move in. The move was cautiously and effectively completed by both Rassel and Aiden. I was mind blown at how efficient Mike and his crew were. Super polite guys. They loaded 12 years worth of my life from a 1 bedroom second story apartment into my new home in a little over 3 hours. Bak and his crew were amazing! They were not only polite, but moved everything very carefully, making sure to wrap the furniture and TV's so that they don't break or get damaged. We had a ton of stairs in the new house, but they did everything, with no complaints! Very efficient with stacking the boxes and furniture in the truck, so they saved a lot of trips. We had Space Y help us move into our current home. From the beginning, they were straightforward and provided a competitive quote. We had to reschedule the move several times, however, Jake was very cooperative and understanding of our situation. The move itself is very smooth. Bak and his team including Ali, Turat and Dake arrived on time, were courteous and go to work right away. They were very careful with our belongings, wrapped them up properly and did not rush through anything. What's notable about them is that they work hard and diligently without a frown or complaint about the workload. They really made a big difference to us. What could have been a stressful day turned out to be easier than I expected. They were also very good about delivering the moving boxes into the rooms that they were marked for. I only had bad experiences with movers previously but Bak and his crews were nothing but amazing and unbelievably... fast! They were punctual, very polite and took their time to explain and accommodate all my requests (dismounted our 55" tv from the wall/ tv console and disassembled our queen bed) without any issues. All the furnitures were carefully wrapped and all the linens i had in trash bags were also boxed up for extra care! They were nothing but smiles and fast hands; it took little over 4 hours for our 1 bd including all the furniture assembly/disassembly and moving up 2nd floor with only stairs. Hopefully i don't have to move anytime soon, but when i do, no doubt they'll be the one i'll be calling cause they're simply AMAZING! if you're struggling to find movers and doubting these guys because of small pool of reviews, just don't. book them now! read more

Alan and his team were incredible. Super friendly, experienced and punctual. This is our 3rd major move and it was by far the smoothest quickest and cleanest move we have had. Their pricing is extremely competitive for 4 movers and our whole house only took 4 hours to move to our new one. No damages or mess and everything is where it's supposed to go. I had to move a large 2 bedroom suddenly due to flooding in my apartment. I called Space Y the day before and they saved the day and moved me within less than 24 hours notice. They were on time, hard working, nice and also helped pack. There was a lot of stuff to pack and they had no problem assisting - I had asked in advance to make sure. They were also very prepared and brought extra boxes for wardrobe and miscellaneous items. This was a big task and they really went above and beyond, working overtime. Plus they did not charge me until after everything was done. No deposit needed. 5 star service. Highly recommend. read more

They responded quickly but could not accommodate personalized requests. The team looked after our belongings and most of our things were safe. Reasonable but took a long time to wrap and move stuff. They forgot the tools to disassemble the bed and took a 30 mins break on the move from one place to another . I received excellent service from Spacey Y Movers, so I'm so glad I chose them. They were very careful with my items fast moving very professional. I needed them to deliver the next day as I was unable to drive 8 and 1/2 hours straight they were more than willing to meet me day two. Three things went wrong when the Mover arrived at my new he was unable to pick up the two helpers that he was supposed to bring, so my son-in-law helped him with a couple of BIG items. This Mover, who had a wonderful Russian accent (sorry, I don't remember your name), was fantastic! What a great attitude, and he was fast and efficient. The other two minor issues were that somebody lost four bolts to my kitchen table, I still can not get replacement bolts, and my kitchen table is still upside down. Also, somebody lost the little cap screw on the top of a lamp shade, just a small irritant, no big deal. This company passed my pickiness. Also, I had Spacey Y Movers move my son across town the same day, and he also was very happy with their service. I highly recommend using Spacey Y Movers and sure to sign up on the Yelp app to get Yelps' money back guarantee read more

I'm so glad I found this company. My boyfriend and I moved from Riverside to Palm Desert and this company was the most affordable moving company we found. Jake was very responsive to my calls, texts, and emails to get us prices and scheduled as efficiently as possible, which I appreciated since we had a short amount of time to organize the move. Communication was great, they arrived on time and HUSTLED to get everything packed as quickly and efficiently as possible while still taking time to wrap and be careful with our furniture and belongings. Jake and Talo were very professional, hard workers and were able to help us move from our 3-bedroom 2nd-story apartment to a two-bedroom second-story apartment 70 miles away in 8 hours. I've always moved myself or had friends/relatives help me move in the past, but after my experience with them and seeing how prepared and efficient they were, I believe its worth the money to have a company like Space Y Moving take care of it. This is my first time using professional movers, I've always just had friends move me, and let me tell you,, this was soooo much better (sorry friends)! They moved a 1 bedroom apartment to an other 1 bedroom apartment, with elevators and stairs. I packed everything on my own, it was so overwhelming, and some of my stuff i didn't know how to pack! I didn't know what to expect when I hired these guys. But man! When they showed up they were so fast and efficient and polite and kind! They just looked around real quick and were like "ok got it", I didn't have to explain anything to them or tell them anything. They got it! They wrapped EVERYTHING! Very careful with my belongings, they packed up the stuff I didn't know how to. They got it done! Above and beyond! They are not creepy or weird, I felt very comfortable having them help me. Moved a room and an office from Chino Valley to the Coachella Valley with Aibek and Ali. Researched many moving companies and Space Y was reasonable and was very transparent with costs. Their team was extremely responsive when I had to change the start time to an earlier time. On the day of the move, Aibek and Ali was very thorough and careful and asked questions to see what was being moved so they could carefully places things into the truck as they fit rather than jamming it all in. They were extremely careful to wrap any furniture and moved quickly. At the end of the night, they were very transparent with driving time and hours worked and had a great tracking system. They arrived right on time, were remarkably efficient, and completed packing and loading earlier than I had expected. The unpacking process was flawless, with not a single item damaged. Professional, friendly, and efficient movers! Alan and Arapbay helped us move today from Ktown to Hollywood and everything went smoothly. They were quick, thorough, careful, and took great care of our furnitures & belongings. It took us about 6 hours to move, and they made sure everything was wrapped perfectly so they don't get damaged during the move. And when they were unpacking, they asked questions on where we wanted our belongings to be placed, and helped us unpack heavy duty things like TV, dresser, vanity table, dining table, and large couch. Alan and Dulat are super hard workers. They helped us pack our 1 bedroom apartment and drove an hour away to our new place. My fiancé and I have been traveling and got sick so we weren't able to pack too much of our place, Alan and Dulat came in and packed up our whole kitchen and living room plus some small items in the other rooms in about 5 hours. The whole job was about 8-9 hours though. They worked efficiently and were able to fit everything in the truck. They also made sure to wrap everything up so it doesn't get scratched. I don't normally give 5 stars unless I feel the everything was perfect and my experience with Space Y met all our expectations! From my initial call, to getting all my questions answered, to the quote being very competitive and all charges outlined so I knew what I was paying for. The movers Alan, Dulat, Arapbay were on time, professional, fast, detailed, did everything we asked them ( we added a lot) and always said don't worry we will handle it! They didn't damage anything and were very carful how they packaged and moved our stuff. It was a big job and they nailed it. I highly recommend Space Y and will use them in the future. read more

This team was very responsive from the moment I requested a quote - answers within minutes, and the booking/confirmation of our moving day was so easy. I feel like we got a great deal for how professional, fast, and thorough this moving team was. Bak reached out 30 minutes before arrival and the team arrived right on time. We had a two bedroom, 1.5 bath 2-level condo to move out of, including two large couches and office furniture, and a 30 minute drive to the new house, and they were finished in under 5 hours! I also have to commend them on their ability to move all my things up two flights of stairs since the elevator at my complex was broken! They made what is usually a stressful experience feel smooth and effortless. On top of the excellent service, their pricing was very fair and well worth the cost. Their other commitments were not my responsibility, yet I was the one left dealing with the fallout. After the delays, painfully slow service, and unprofessional attitude, they still asked for a tip. Save yourself the time and frustration. I would never use this company again.

Given the context, it reads as retaliatory and connected to this dispute, and it's left me feeling unsafe given that this account and the people behind it are aware of where I live. Completely unprofessional. Response to owner: I'm not going to push it further than this. Only someone who has a stake in this company or helped me move that day would have been emotional and sent that message. I doubt another company would go those lengths when I already did a one star review, they would more likely target your 5 star reviewers. I'm not going to investigate this on your behalf because your method to verify is flawed and no one is going to own up to the issue and tell me the truth. You also told me over and over again people do this so they can blackmail you into paying them to remove the review so you were implying I was someone like that. Yelp has safeguards for that so your excuses don't match. I hope you manage your team and your company better as this move and $1500 continue to taunt me and I hope none of your future customers experience this.

A rolling side table is missing two of its four wheels. The protective corner bumper covers were damaged, and other furniture had new scuff marks and damage. Altogether, it is a few hundred dollars' worth of damage. The owner was personally nice, and I understand moving is physically demanding work, especially on a hot day. Which is why I felt so bad... we also made sure to bring the crew cold energy drinks because we know it's hot out and it's tiring to move. However, at this price point, I expected much more care in handling our belongings. The other movers were not rude, but they were not especially communicative or careful either. I appreciate that they got us moved, but this was not a smooth experience and the damage we found afterward was extremely disappointing. Based on the cost, time involved, and condition of our belongings, I would not use this company again or recommend it to others.

First, the crew arrived in a graffiti-covered truck, which set an unprofessional tone from the start. Furthermore, the three movers were physically undersized and completely ill-equipped for the demands of a 2,700-square-foot home move. Throughout the day, they visibly struggled with the heavy lifting. Despite me providing the exact details and dimensions of my home beforehand, it took them 3 hours just to clear my house, and another 5 hours to unload at my new residence. They worked at a noticeably slow pace and lacked the strength and technique expected of professional movers. Care and attention to detail were also significant issues. During the move, they ripped up the laminate floor transition bars in a couple of areas. While they did attempt to fix the damage after I pointed it out, I had to supply the Gorilla Glue for the repair myself. A specific warning for potential customers: do not let their "no stair cost" clause sway your decision. In my experience, they offset this promotion by milking the hourly clock, moving intentionally slow, and frequently complaining about the weight of standard items. They are nice gentlemen who will eventually get the job done, but they are simply not built to provide an efficient, professional-grade moving service. I recommend looking elsewhere if you value your time and property.
