I had an excellent experience with Busy Bee Movers. Stan was very professional and detail-oriented during our Zoom call to provide the estimate. Pedro, Rollan, Duman and Sam, the workers on moving day, were all extremely efficient and hardworking. They were especially helpful with disassembly and assembly of furniture. There was a queen-sized bed that needed to be disassembled and reassembled in order to be moved from the 2nd floor to the 1st floor and they completed the task within a very small time frame. They also helped with assembling a glass cabinet and two office chairs. Although we encountered an issue with our Zelle payment at the end of the move that resulted in making duplicate payments, Stan immediately assisted us by refunding the duplicate payment in full. They carefully wrapped everything and handled each piece with care. My move involved stairs at both the starting and ending locations, but these guys never rushed or took shortcuts. Slippery, shady. Three guys showed up. They didn't have business cards, didn't wear a uniform, and their truck was too small to fit all of my possessions for a 2-bedroom + den. It made me nervous that the truck was unmarked (no company name was printed on it), so I asked them why that is, and the lead guy after hesitating, said it's because the truck was new. Well, the truck looked a bit beat up and dirty....it was obviously Not new. I then asked to see their business license, and they said they would ask the supervisor to email it to me. I never saw the license in my email. Shortly after my requesting their license, the supervisor terminated my move. They took my belongings off of the truck and brought them back into my home, and took off, leaving me in the lurch. The lead man, Sam, was unwilling to provide his last name to me (which I wanted in case they were not legitimate). At the point that they had put a considerable amount of my possessions on the truck, I decided to snap a photo of Sam in case they might take off with my things. It wasn't considerate of me to not ask, but I was afraid. Sam became exceedingly irate toward me. I explained that I needed some form of identification, a pic, a business license, something, in case I had to call the police if they were to take off with my belongings. When the supervisor cancelled the move, he blamed *me* for not trusting in them. Huh? I do have a legitimate right to see a pic of their business license! I figured they must not be licensed, or maybe the license isn't current. I never saw it. read more

I reached out to Busy Bee Movers a couple of weeks ago using Yelp of all places lol. Nick and I did a Zoom call to go over what the move would entail and he laid out the costs ahead of time. We needed 3 movers and about 7 hour's total in the end. I told him in no uncertain terms I did not want any entitled lazy Americans moving my house! I want Russian, Uzbeks, Ukrainians or Kazakhstan decent movers. Hardest damn workers you'll ever meet. Thankfully the owners are from Kazakhstan so I knew I was in good hands. Moving sucks! And moving companies know this. They are really in the service business, to make your life better on a very exhausting and stressful day. Let's be honest the day of the move isn't even that bad. You have the movers at the house doing all the heavy lifting. It's all the days leading up to the move where you're packing and taking little things over to the house and making multiple trips that's exhausting. So when these guys show up at your house, they know it's all about smiles and friendliness. Daniel, the crew leader was like Walt Disney. The guy oozed joy and a great attitude. The other 2 guys were from Kazakhstan so it goes without saying they worked like champions and never slowed down. In the end these guys were machines. Before you ever get into a bar-fight make sure they aren't a mover. If they are buy them a beer and apologize. I watched these guys lift the heaviest stuff like it was nothing. I originally left a 3-star review because while the move had significant wait issues, I wanted to acknowledge the crew's hard work and the fact that my belongings arrived without damage. However, after reading the company's public response, I am lowering my rating to 2 stars. The most disappointing part of this experience is not the delays or unexpected challenges that arose during the move. It is the company's decision to publicly present events in a way that does not accurately reflect what happened. For example, the company stated that my Sleep Number bed had been incorrectly assembled by a previous mover and had missing hardware. This is simply not true. The bed was brand new and had been assembled by Sleep Number technicians. I was present throughout the process and personally helped research the manufacturer's instructions when the crew encountered difficulties. I was also the one who ultimately determined that the air caps were unnecessary after time had been spent searching for them. The response also suggests that substantial billing adjustments were made. The "hour off" referenced was largely the crew's own lunch and break time. Presenting that as a customer accommodation is misleading. I treated the crew respectfully throughout the day, provided water, purchased lunch for all four movers, and worked collaboratively to solve problems as they arose. I understand that moving is complicated and that unforeseen issues can happen. What I do not appreciate is having my concerns dismissed through explanations that are inconsistent with what I personally witnessed. The move itself was fine other than the delays. The company's handling of feedback afterward is what ultimately reduced my confidence in recommending them. read more

My wife and I booked these guys for a move from SoCal to NorCal. Nick, the owner was super friendly and sent someone to assess everything for a proper estimate. The day before our move, 3 guys came to load everything onto the truck. We agreed for us to pack everything into boxes ourselves, so they only packed up the few items that were left (like lamps and such), wrapped all our furniture and took it with them to keep overnight. The day of the move, we drove out roughly at the same time and met at our new place. The guys had to schlepp everything up two flights of stairs because there was no elevator. We had a few big pieces of heavy furniture to move including our king mattress and a piano and they did it like it was nothing. They were super quick and got done way faster than we thought they were going to, but I never felt like they were rushing through the move. They were careful and considerate and had a great attitude the whole move. It was also a great value! The last time we moved we spent more on just moving the piano than we did this entire move. He went above and beyond by helping us install our flat-screen TV at the new house for a small additional fee, and the installation was done professionally. Dan and his partner were both hardworking, friendly, and great to work with--two excellent guys. The only small downside was that the "on-the-road" travel time ended up being charged double, which was not clearly mentioned in the initial quote by Busy Bee Movers as the owner of company said is required by California law. I would suggest that this be explained upfront in the future. Aside from that, everything went very smoothly. Wow Busy Bee Movers gave me the best moving experience ever!!! Nick contacted me and was very responsive throughout the while process, from getting me a quote, ensuring all my needs are met, being flexible with all my change requests, to the actual day of the move. The two movers (Sultan and Doku) who were assigned were amazing!! They arrived 5-10 mins early and quickly loaded everything. They did not loiter or try to take any longer than needed. Both men were extremely professional and knowledgeable about how to handle different-sized items (bulky, fragile). I was also moving a few items that were not able to be packed in boxes into my own vehicle, but Sultan and Doku quickly offered to take them and securely load them into their truck anyway. At the end, they assembled my bed frame for me and helped me with the initial desktop setup (2 monitors with 2 monitor arms). I am so deeply appreciative of their work.
