My husband wanted to get U-Haul and move ourselves from Southern CA to Southern OR. I knew this was a terrible idea so for the sake of our marriage I did some research and found Busy Bee Moving. Busy Bee made the entire process so much easier than I expected! We were able to do a virtual walk through of our house so they could see how much stuff we needed to move and schedule the correct truck size. We called them with only a few weeks' notice during the busy summer moving season but they were able to fit us right in. And Nick was great at answering all of our questions and giving us time to finalize our decision. I had read some reviews of other agencies adding charges on at the delivery location but the price they quoted pre-move was the price we paid. We had a team of four that loaded the truck in CA and a team of two to unload in OR. All of them were easy to work with and very professional. We packed ourselves but they still brought all of the blankets and shrink wrap for the furniture and fragile items. They even provided wardrobe boxes so we could just leave our clothes on the hangers, it made unpacking so much easier. A lot of this response is just not accurate. The dock wait was 20 minutes, not 30. The elevator is shared because it's an apartment building, that's not an unexpected complication, that's just reality. Your crew took the long way to the drop-off instead of the freeway, which was a 10-15 minute drive. And at that stop, we told them to grab the fridge and shed parts first, they had it blocked behind a big random box and a smoker. Also, nobody from your company ever asked for a detailed item list. No walkthrough, no call, nothing. We got an hourly rate. If you needed more info to plan the job properly, you should have asked. We paid $781 for a move where half the stuff was already gone the day before and we were helping the whole time. The response here is just deflection. Review stands. read more

We had a Zoom call and showed all our items, Stan quoted us 4-6 hours of work with a 4-man crew. It took 10 hours for them to move our 2 bedroom apartment just 3 miles to our new place. We ended up with a broken mirror at $500 value and a dining chair that got cut into when they were opening the wrap. Value of chair $350. So total of about $900 in damage, as well as several hours over their "estimated" time it would take. At the end, Stan and Mike were accommodating and provided a credit for most of the damage that we had suffered financially, however, we still need to deal with ordering those items, and the chain is actually no longer available for us to buy. They also credited for 2 hours because of how excessively long the move took. I understand accidents happen, but the majority of our frustration was that 2 of the 4 men helping really had no idea what they were doing and just dragging their feet. In other words, we technically had 2 main professional movers and 2 that were just there, slowing the process excessively. I can only confidently say this because I've used other professional moving services in Orange County before and they were so much faster and more efficient, for the same hourly price. I also want to say that their estimates are WAY OFF. There is no way an estimate of 4-6 hours should take 10 hours. Or maybe that's how they've decided to earn the business with low hours, then send slow crews that take much longer. To give them a second chance and to help them earn more business, I referred them to my close friend who had to move just a few days after my move. A 1 bedroom apartment for a single person took about 9 hours with a 2-man crew to move about 5-6 miles. They had quoted my friend about 4-5 hours as well and this happened. So like I said, it's either their business strategy to do things this way, or they just don't know how to estimate how long these jobs take with the manpower they have on their team. I felt very bad recommending this service to my friend as he was also very frustrated at the end of the day with their service. Overall do not recommend this service if your expectation is to have a smooth professional move without long hours or hassle of dealing with broken items. read more

So I booked Sunday movers for Sunday . I had few items to fit in small Uhaul . They purposely brought large truck which did not fit into parking structure which lengthen the move time . I requested 3-4 guys to expedite the move per busy bee my items were not enough to warrant more men. My time slot I paid for 3-5pm the crew came at 7:45pm took entire 3 hours for a 2 hr job with commute and unpacking . Unpacking was literally 20 min. The guy calling me at night to get payment was very rude . I wanted to know the extra travel fee added i was not upset at the payment I was trying to disclose the total cash amount Nick gave me is the cash I pulled out sooooo how would you like me to pay the balance instead of hearing me this guy decides to talk over and give me a by law explanation of the fee and said that's what I get for booking last min . Again this is a business if you cannot keep your 3-5pm service time nor communicate exact total for cash payment why the hell are you yelling at me . Moving crew was amazing .booking is 3 hr minimum . Time started 7pm time finished 10pm where you got 3.5 hrs ??? You were on Speaker your crew and neighbors all witnessed your rant . Proven by again you defining your practice with again no questioning it . Listening is a skill you can improve on . Maybe choose to hear others over loving to hear yourself speak . My inventory list was exact for what I asked for I even provided my own moving blankets and extra gesture apart from typical clients .
