What really stood out was their attention to detail and care--they carefully wrapped and packed everything, including all of my bathroom & kitchen items, which I know is one of the most time-consuming parts of any move. They handled my furniture with care, helped disassemble and reassemble my furniture. Moving into a unit with stairs can be tough, but they handled it seamlessly and kept a great attitude the entire time. They were also very organized, respectful of my space, and worked efficiently without cutting corners. You can tell they take pride in their work. Beka and Chino did an amazing job together!!! They wrapped up everything very safely, and carefully packed items inside boxes. I asked them to teach me how to assemble back my Queen bed later on, so Beka draw a diagram of my bed and explained everything to me completely in details where each screw goes. They both disassembled my bed in a very organized way, so it would be easier for me to assemble it back together myself later on. They also stacked up all my items very nicely inside my storage. Busy Bee Movers did a great job overall with my move. They arrived on time, and although they initially had the wrong phone number, we were able to resolve that quickly without impacting the process. Arthur and Doku worked efficiently as a team, carefully loading and unloading everything. They made sure all of my furniture was properly wrapped and secured to prevent any damage, and they also took the time to unwrap everything once we arrived at my new apartment. The entire moving process felt smooth and well-organized. The only part of the experience that made me a bit uncomfortable was the request for a review at the end. While I completely understand and appreciate being asked to leave feedback, I would recommend that future requests simply be made without pressure. Being asked to wait, post the review immediately, and have it photographed felt a bit unsettling. In case of any possibility for damages, I opted to add the "Full Value Protection with $250 Deductible" but ultimately no issues occurred! Super thankful that our two movers, Sam and Serick (might be misspelling his name), made the process seamless and stress free. This company doesn't honor scheduling and will push your appointment to squeeze in other smaller jobs so their employees don't stand idle. They have no professionalism . Nick kept pushing the time from 1 to 2 to 3 for a 3 hours move! Meaning it will finish 6 pm! Very disappointed. Nick was professional but mismanagement caused this problem. We had a Zoom call and showed all our items, Stan quoted us 4-6 hours of work with a 4-man crew. It took 10 hours for them to move our 2 bedroom apartment just 3 miles to our new place. We ended up with a broken mirror at $500 value and a dining chair that got cut into when they were opening the wrap. Value of chair $350. So total of about $900 in damage, as well as several hours over their "estimated" time it would take. At the end, Stan and Mike were accommodating and provided a credit for most of the damage that we had suffered financially, however, we still need to deal with ordering those items, and the chain is actually no longer available for us to buy. They also credited for 2 hours because of how excessively long the move took. I understand accidents happen, but the majority of our frustration was that 2 of the 4 men helping really had no idea what they were doing and just dragging their feet. In other words, we technically had 2 main professional movers and 2 that were just there, slowing the process excessively. I can only confidently say this because I've used other professional moving services in Orange County before and they were so much faster and more efficient, for the same hourly price. I also want to say that their estimates are WAY OFF. There is no way an estimate of 4-6 hours should take 10 hours. Or maybe that's how they've decided to earn the business with low hours, then send slow crews that take much longer. To give them a second chance and to help them earn more business, I referred them to my close friend who had to move just a few days after my move. A 1 bedroom apartment for a single person took about 9 hours with a 2-man crew to move about 5-6 miles. They had quoted my friend about 4-5 hours as well and this happened. So like I said, it's either their business strategy to do things this way, or they just don't know how to estimate how long these jobs take with the manpower they have on their team. I felt very bad recommending this service to my friend as he was also very frustrated at the end of the day with their service. Overall do not recommend this service if your expectation is to have a smooth professional move without long hours or hassle of dealing with broken items. read more

Absolutely terrible experience - avoid Busy Bee Movers at all costs. I hired Busy Bee Movers to move my family from our old home in Newport Beach to a new home also in Newport Beach. We did a full video walkthrough beforehand, showing everything that needed to be moved--including two very large gun safes, a full gym setup, expensive outdoor kitchen appliances, and a complete overview of both properties. Based on this, they gave me an estimate of 8 hours for a one-day move. It turned into a two-day ordeal, with the team working late into the evening both nights--ending around 9pm--and then hitting me with an unexpected bill that was over $3,000 more than what was quoted. And that's just the beginning. Broken tiles in my brand-new home Two damaged gun safes, moved without the proper equipment $6,000 BBQ and $3,500 smoker damaged--and propped up to hide the damage Old, unreliable truck that needed to be jump-started throughout the day No communication about extra charges until the very end--then demanded payment for thousands in overtime My son and I had to help dismantle gym equipment just to keep the move going When I brought these issues up, they told me they'd "make it right." What they actually did was send two unqualified handymen who admitted they didn't know how to fix tile. As someone who owns a home services company, I ended up having my own tile guy do the repair as a favor--at cost. It didn't stop there. When I followed up about my damaged safes, I was told to contact the manufacturer myself. After I did that, Michael, the same rude representative I had dealt with from the start, capped off this nightmare by literally telling me to F off--after initially offering to replace just one of the safes. I wasn't planning to raise a fuss over every single issue, but after being disrespected and deceived like this? I'm not letting it slide. I've documented everything--photos, videos of the safes being dropped, and all correspondence--and I'll be speaking with legal counsel. They clearly count on customers giving up. I won't.
