This company doesn't honor scheduling and will push your appointment to squeeze in other smaller jobs so their employees don't stand idle. They have no professionalism . They don't honor their scheduling and especially their customers time! So I have been contacting this company for a move to empty my garage. Nick kept pushing the time from 1 to 2 to 3 for a 3 hours move! Meaning it will finish 6 pm! Very disappointed. Nick was professional but mismanagement caused this problem. 1 star Review Do NOT be fooled by the low hourly rate. It may look cheap at first, but you will likely end up paying more because the move drags on far longer than it should. We moved from a 600 sq ft 1-bedroom ADU into a 1-bedroom apartment, and most of our items were already packed. The day before the move, my boyfriend and his friend had already moved about half of our belongings, including almost everything from the kitchen. In other words, the movers had significantly less work than a normal move. Despite that, the move somehow took 7 hours and 15 minutes. For comparison, our previous move with more items took about 5 hours total in a single move, which made this timeline extremely questionable. During the move we repeatedly noticed the workers: * wrapping items extremely slowly * standing around doing nothing and staring off for long stretches * picking up small random items instead of prioritizing large furniture, even when asked to focus on the bigger pieces * moving with absolutely no sense of urgency On top of that, my boyfriend, his friend, and I were also helping move items during the process, which should have made the move go even faster. The driving distance was also extremely short. One stop was only 10 minutes away, and our new apartment was about 8 minutes away. Even at the first stop, there was very little to move. They only moved a fridge, two pieces of a shed, and a small plastic shelf. We had also told them multiple times to load the fridge last since we needed to drop it off first, but they blocked it with a smoker. Because of that, they had to remove the smoker first, move the fridge, and then move the smoker again, wasting additional time. They also left for the first stop before my boyfriend and his friend, yet somehow arrived 10-15 minutes after them, even though they already had the address and it was a straightforward residential location. It took them so long that my boyfriend even had to call the owner to ask where they were. There is simply no logical reason a small 600 sq ft move with half the items already gone should take over 7 hours, especially when they also had help. We ended up paying $781 in cash, and it would have been even more otherwise since Zelle or other payment apps are charged at a higher rate. When we contacted the owner afterward to express concerns about how unusually long the move took, he refused to adjust the price, became extremely defensive, and said he doesn't mind receiving a bad review. At the end of the day, the low hourly rate feels misleading because the slow pace completely cancels out any savings. A company with a higher hourly rate but efficient movers would likely finish in half the time and cost the same or even less. If you value your time, money, and peace of mind during an already stressful move, I strongly recommend choosing a different moving company. For reference, I've attached photos showing the amount of furniture that was moved, plus 3 clothing hanger boxes (contained clothes and miscellaneous items) and a larger fridge (which we helped bring out) that are not pictured. In the photo with all the boxes, we had already moved almost all of them ourselves the day before. The movers only handled the four boxes in the middle of that photo with tape on them. You can decide for yourself whether this looks like a 7 hour and 15 minute, nearly $800 job. EDIT: The owner claimed that another moving company slowed things down because of the elevator. In reality, the elevator was never tied up, and the other move actually finished while ours was still going. I also have time-stamped messages from during the move where we were already discussing how unusually slow the pace was at the first location, before the truck had even left. The owner is now claiming this situation is "review manipulation" because multiple people who were physically present during the move left reviews about the same experience. Three people were there the entire time helping with the move, so of course their accounts of what happened are similar. They all witnessed the same job. Leaving an honest, real review about our experience is exactly what review platforms exist for. The owner is free to disagree, but he was not present during the move at all, so his response is based on what he was told afterwards. Trying to frame multiple witnesses sharing the same experience as "review manipulation" and trying to remove them says more about how this company handles criticism than anything else. read more

Absolutely terrible experience - avoid Busy Bee Movers at all costs. I hired Busy Bee Movers to move my family from our old home in Newport Beach to a new home also in Newport Beach. We did a full video walkthrough beforehand, showing everything that needed to be moved--including two very large gun safes, a full gym setup, expensive outdoor kitchen appliances, and a complete overview of both properties. Based on this, they gave me an estimate of 8 hours for a one-day move. It turned into a two-day ordeal, with the team working late into the evening both nights--ending around 9pm--and then hitting me with an unexpected bill that was over $3,000 more than what was quoted. And that's just the beginning. Broken tiles in my brand-new home Two damaged gun safes, moved without the proper equipment $6,000 BBQ and $3,500 smoker damaged--and propped up to hide the damage Old, unreliable truck that needed to be jump-started throughout the day No communication about extra charges until the very end--then demanded payment for thousands in overtime My son and I had to help dismantle gym equipment just to keep the move going When I brought these issues up, they told me they'd "make it right." What they actually did was send two unqualified handymen who admitted they didn't know how to fix tile. As someone who owns a home services company, I ended up having my own tile guy do the repair as a favor--at cost. It didn't stop there. When I followed up about my damaged safes, I was told to contact the manufacturer myself. After I did that, Michael, the same rude representative I had dealt with from the start, capped off this nightmare by literally telling me to F off--after initially offering to replace just one of the safes. I wasn't planning to raise a fuss over every single issue, but after being disrespected and deceived like this? I'm not letting it slide. I've documented everything--photos, videos of the safes being dropped, and all correspondence--and I'll be speaking with legal counsel. They clearly count on customers giving up. I won't. Come day of the move, we had Didar and Adai help. Everything went incredibly smooth - they helped us wrap fragile furniture and move everything to and from the moving truck to our new apartment. We really did not lift a finger - even when we tried, they politely told us to relax and they'd do all the heavy lifting (pun intended :)). They did not waste any time in our move (as costs do increase after a certain hour amount) and were as speedy as could be. Not too sure what happened with my move. Based on almost every single review it seems off to have such a terrible experience but here I am venting my frustration...... Movers were friendly aside from speaking a language I didn't understand amongst themselves. So where did it all go wrong? Well it started when they repacked all my boxes into bigger boxes. Boxes, boxes, and more boxes. Why? A tactic to waste time but still make it seem as if they were hard at work. Congratulations, you fooled me. Not! When did it get worse? When they discreetly put a gigantic hole in my mattress and placed it up against the wall so I wouldn't notice till the next day. But it's ok right, that's why you hire a professional moving company to prevent damaging your home goods and if something does accidentally happen there's insurance right? Wrong..... here I am a week later after numerous attempts at getting reimbursed for the damage but still not luck. No returned calls, no response to text messages, Nothing. Just simply ignored. Arthur and Doku worked efficiently as a team, carefully loading and unloading everything. They made sure all of my furniture was properly wrapped and secured to prevent any damage, and they also took the time to unwrap everything once we arrived at my new apartment. The entire moving process felt smooth and well-organized. The only part of the experience that made me a bit uncomfortable was the request for a review at the end. While I completely understand and appreciate being asked to leave feedback, I would recommend that future requests simply be made without pressure. Being asked to wait, post the review immediately, and have it photographed felt a bit unsettling. Little delayed on this review. We moved within the same city about a week ago and used busy bees. We had a few hiccups with some delays on the day but once I reached out- the team was on track and responsive. Dan, Nick and John were great movers. They didn't waste time (because they said they said time is money) and were very careful with our stuff and our new place. They even went out of their way in their own dime to get rid of the stuff we weren't taking to our new place. The move did take longer than estimated (expected) and we did loose a box but when I reached out to ask if they had it- they called back immediately to say they double checked the truck.
