This is my go to Starbucks! I just love them and while I've cut back from coffee drinks out and about - once in a blue moon I find myself back here. I love this location because the staff are super friendly and they have a drive thru. The staff are make this place great! Everyone here is always friendly and always very nice. They are clear and easy to understand on the intercom and when I pull up to the window, the drinks are usually always ready. I don't come inside often so I would say 9 out of 10 times I'm coming through the drive-thru so keep that in mind for the review. This location does get pretty busy so you can expect a slight wait but like I said, the drinks seem to usually be ready at the window so it's more just a matter of a lot of cars coming through. My order is always made correctly so no issues there and I feel like the quality at this location is really good. I also find out this location always has the specials that are advertised where some random independently owns Starbucks don't always have every menu item so that also makes me wanna come back to this location to know I can get what I am craving. There is something deeply unsettling about how good this Starbucks location makes the Mango Dream Refresher... and I mean that in the most serious way possible. Because why did I take one sip and immediately feel like I needed to collect myself?? It's too smooth. Too perfectly sweet. Too cold in that way that lingers just a second longer than it should. I actually caught myself closing my eyes mid-sip like I was having a private moment with a drink, which feels... wrong. And yet I kept going back for another sip. And another. There's something almost flirtatious about it. Like it knows exactly what it's doing. Like it's pushing a boundary just enough to make you aware of it--but not enough to stop. By the time I was halfway done, I wasn't even thirsty anymore, I was just... committed. I've had this refresher at other locations. It's never done this to me before. This one? This one has intentions. Staff is great, drink is consistent, but I'm slightly concerned about how often I think about it now. 10/10. Also I ordered four drinks and they're all different and wasn't told which is which, normally there's writing on the cups to let the guests know, but there was no writing at all. Nice little Starbucks in Thousand Oaks. I was waiting for a friend that was driving me to work that day and we decided to meet there. It was pretty busy, but they seemed to be getting those drinks fast enough to keep up with the demand. The atmosphere was chill and relaxing, they had a huge painting with farm fields that was nice. I got a Grande Iced Chai with oat milk, brown sugar, and vanilla foam and they got it right and fast. Logan is the reason for the 5-star rating. Excellent service from him, going above and beyond the call of duty when dealing with my special order - Americano-short cup-half room. It's more than a shot of espresso,yet not a full on cup of coffee. He understood that, and even asked me to watch him pour the water into the cup to assure my liking. He also asked my wife how much foam she wanted in her dry Cappuccino. This extra 5% effort always has and always will win the hearts and minds of customers. read more

I worked for starbucks for about 7 years (not this store) and have been going to this store for pretty much the entire time it has been open as I live 3 minutes away. I worked at VERY busy drive thru stores and non drive thru stores. I have no idea why the drive thru isn't prioritized HERE at THIS STORE. Their drive thru has never been fast, ever. I always try to give them the benefit of the doubt as I have worked for Starbucks for a very long time and know that things happen and can slow down the routine. However, me going through the drive through every single time for years and it taking an average of 20 minutes to get through it (except when there is 2 people in the line) is beyond ridiculous and so confusing. It has been years of the same problem with this store. PLEASE have the DM take some time in the mornings from like 6am-8am to come and shadow the store leaders and see where things are getting clogged up. read more

Slow, slow, slow... and unorganized. Not only did the drive-through take an inordinate amount of time, but when I got to the front, they were out of one of the cheese sandwich that I ordered. I asked her why she didn't ask me when I ordered and she said "well I checked after you ordered my bad." Seems like the staff here needs some training. read more

My favorite Starbucks in the area! Seriously, I come here every morning so the employees recognize me by now, and they always greet me by name. I usually order ahead and 95% of the time, my drink is ready as soon as I arrive. The other 5% of the time, someone starts working on my order as soon as they see me walk through the door. Parking is easy and the lot isn't cramped like the one on Ventu Park Rd. My absolute favorite moment, however, was when the crew invited me to do nitro bombs with them while I was sitting at one of the tables. 10/10 experience, would definitely do that again. read more

I recall that when this location opened we used the drive-thru initially. It took a long time to get through the whole ordering / delivery experience, but they were super-busy that day. At the time, it was still somewhat of a novelty in the area to have a drive-thru Starbucks. When we were in the vicinity last weekend, Dear Hubby suggested going to this venue to participate in a promo, and to hang out for a while, versus going home. I thought it might be only the drive-thru lane, plus a walk-up window. Was surprised that the interior not only existed as an option for seating, but also that it was bigger than the exterior suggested. The team inside was very friendly in greeting us and taking our orders. We chose to sit outside to enjoy the fresh air. After a while, it started getting breezy and cooler than it's been, so we didn't linger as long as we might have otherwise. They are close to a busy Islands restaurant, and adjacent to a half dozen or so other fast casual type eating places. The rest of the group has seen various changes, but Starbucks, The Habit, and Presto Pasta are holding down the fort while others shuffle in and out of the spaces. This might not be my favorite place to chill, but there is lots of parking, and the staff members seem to have a good attitude. Freeway-close, too. read more

This Starbucks used to be good two years ago but now the workers seem less friendly. When ever I order here it's usually in the day time because I've went here a few times at night and the workers never respond at the drive thru. I had to yell at the speaker a few times and there was no response. Then I drove to the window to see if anyone was in there and there was no one in there or in the kitchen. It says the business hours were open at the time that I was there. I saw one time the worker was in there by itself and the worker was just on her phone or just standing there doing nothing. The truth is the night time workers probably hide in the back socializing or on their phones. They probably act lazy because they don't like helping customers. Completely unorganized. Was here around 1030 , about 10 employees and slow as can be. Took about 3 mins for someone to acknowledge me at the register to take my order since the employee was chatting with another employee. Other Starbucks operate with half the staff and are way faster. Starbucks has been a part of our lives since the beginning, where it all started in Seattle. We must go to Starbucks several times weekly on our travels. So when we visit one that stands out, I have to shout-it-out on Yelp. This time it was due to an outstanding employee, Mars. She welcomed us when I entered. They frequently get our drink orders wrong. I ordered a Crisp apple iced caramel macchiato. It came with caramel and no apple flavor whatsoever. My husband's Matcha green iced drink was more oat milk than Matcha flavor. I know I could have taken it back but it was a hassle we had somewhere to go. read more

I don't normally write review on places, but this time I needed too, yesterday around 3:30 in the afternoon I stopped at this Starbucks and just ordered two drinks, I got my first drink, and the second one I waited a little longer. Next a young gentleman, told me they ran out of the second drink I ordered, he apologized and said he could make me another one anything else he could do it. And the way he handled that situation was amazing. He did everything he could, and I normally never trip over things like this but he really went beyond to make everything right. I really wish I got this young man's name. He was truly a sweetheart. And he needs to recognized by this and I hope Starbucks recognizes the employees that go above and beyond, because of this experience it really touched my heart. I did a mobile order and had my refillable water bottle replenished when I went to pick up my order with no problem... I'm leaving 3 stars because I went to the outside patio to sit, and it was quiet and quaint. Then they suddenly they turned on the music. Wasn't bad music, but it killed the relaxing atmosphere. 11/26/22 Update...still the worst Starbucks ever. They are out of all holiday beverages!

Slowest drive through I've ever experienced. The staff is friendly and you are defined greeted in the way all patrons have come accustomed to... However the early morning of opening to let's say 7am has only one barista and a cashier. Hey management spent a little more on the schedule and receive a larger return on your guests/customers. I've came to this Starbucks a few times now. Usually every time I go the service is great & there is never a long wait, they're really on it. However, when I went today, I tried to order one of my usual drinks. The girl taking my order told me she couldn't make my drink cold, she stated actually that "only tea drinks can be made cold". Which I thought was odd since I've gotten this drink at different locations with no problem. Maybe I'm ordering a special drink? To my knowledge lattes can be made hot or cold, but I guess I could be wrong. When I changed my order, I ask for light ice & she still filled the cup completely with ice. I lovvvveee Starbucks just NOT THIS LOCATION. Coworkers are way too preoccupied with overly long lines in the drive-through. So if you go inside the store you'll be neglected. I called after they remade my drink and it was still "wrong" and the manager said she was the one who made it and argued she did it correctly. The cashier was rude while putting her finger up to tell me to hold on when I thought she was talking to me... I couldn't tell that she was on her ear phone. They did say I could go to another location since were on the road and trade it in and have a new store remake it but I'm on a road trip trying to beat traffic and don't really wanna go thru the trouble of stopping again.... just kinda expected the second time around to be correct. When she assured me she made it the same way the order usually goes... I am a regular at Starbucks and drink the same coffee from every location and this one defiantly doesn't taste good. I love Starbucks but am constantly annoyed by the types of people they employ. They are all young people and many of them very rude to me. David is the only one able to take my order without giving me an attitude. I frequent this store but only put up with the mask rules and social distancing because I enjoy the coffee. Fix the drive through please too. My Lincoln Navigator got stuck on the curb, it is clear that it is not designed for large vehicles. Horrible experience. I came to this Starbucks because we needed coffee to stay away for a long drive. I tried to order and they said "we can't hear you from the back or passengers side or wherever you are, please be louder" so I said my order louder, and the guy taking the order said "Do not scream into the microphone" in a very clearly pissed off voice, so we tried again to say it and he finally got the order on the screen, which was an iced oatmilk latte. When we got up to the drive through, he was handing the drinks and I tried to apologize for yelling since he looked super mad, and he just glared and didn't answer. Then he gave me the latte and it was made with CREAM. Like not just milk, but either half and half or straight up cream. I'm super lactose intolerant, so after a few sips, I got super nauseous. Not only did I not get the caffeine I needed to stay away, but then I was given something that gave me horrible cramps and throwing up. I could get it if he was having a bad day but this was a terrible experience, and now I'm out 6 bucks. read more

Update 3: This continues to be the worst store in the area for getting your drink wrong. Not even complicated drinks. Something as simple as what kind of milk or flavors go into it. I visited other Starbucks while they were shut down and will now be going back to them, despite being out of my way, because at least I have something drinkable. The young red headed women continues to be one of the worst offenders in bad drink making. Update 2: Slowest store in existence. It should not take 20mins to get through a drive through people. Seriously it's not rocket science especially when the store is closed and those are you only customers. You have access to all the machines to make all the drinks and people literally just standing around doing Update: Finally figured out why every time the red head with the braid, Sarah, makes my drinks they taste more like water than coffee. It's because she actually ADDS WATER to the drink! I watched her do it. Why would I want a watery espresso drink? The whole point is to taste the coffee in it. I would rather my drink not be at the top than have it watered down! I always have to have the drink remade when she does it. So gross and completely undrinkable. She is the only one who I have this issue with. Non of the other girls make the drinks this way. I saw her do it to multiple prde Usually their good. Fast. Except the red headed woman who works there. Do not let her make your coffee or at least taste test before you go. Every time she makes my drink she messes it up. Every time I've gone through this drive-thru has been a slow experience. Whether the line is long or short, this Starbucks has characterized itself as being very slow. A few visits ago I think I spent around 15-20 minutes waiting in the drive-thru. It made me wish that I didn't stop there in the first place. I definitely do not recommend stopping at this one if you are in a rush. But the friendly employees and good drinks generally make up for the wait. read more

I frequent this location a lot and have to say this morning no one was paying attention. At 8.10am there were at least 10-12 staff members; the line continued to grow inside the store and there was one person taking orders. It was as if no one wanted to pick up the ball, lead by example and jump on the other register. Finally a staff member did and started taking orders, at that time I counted 11 people in line: trust me, I had the time to count. I am not sure who the Manager on duty was but he or she certainly could have streamlined the process with simple delegation and accountability. read more

For some reason no matter what coffee drink I order it is always watery. Test your drink before you leave. Otherwise more often than not you get stuck with a $5 undrinkable beverage. Update: Figured it out. They don't bother to read the label and put skim milk into everything. That's why milk drinks taste disgusting. READ THE LABELS!!! I've also sent complaint emails to Starbucks headquarters. This is by far the worst Starbucks in the area. read more
