I've been on a coffee / tea rotation for a while now where I like to alternate my intake but through and through I'm a latte girl! When I came across an iced Matcha latte article on Buzzfeed that called out Peet's for having the best tasting iced Matcha (for a chain), I had to try it for myself. I don't mind the Starbucks matcha but apparently it's a point of contention amongst the matcha elites! Stopped at the Peet's in Thousand Oaks ok a Friday morning and discovered I had driven by this place so many times but never had the pleasure of actually ordering so I'm a first timer! It wasn't super busy but there were several people waiting on their already placed orders. The barista was friendly and helpful and took my order no problem. Waited maybe 5 minutes (if that) before my name was called. It looked beautiful - the balance of green on top and white on bottom. Gorgeous presentation. I noticed another customer gathering her items to go and asked if she too had the matcha but she told me hers was the Iced Blushing Rose Matcha Latte. She swears by it as her go to. Mental note for my next Peet's drop in! It was wonderfully delicious. Subtly sweet but definitely matcha. I was sold. Peet's has a new fan for sure! read more

I came to this location for the first time. Generally I have preferred Peet's to Star*** b/c they're more coffee focused. But it's been a long time since I've been to Peet's. Usually I ordered simple drinks like Americano or cafe au lait. I was checking out my app (again I didn't use it really) - and there are so many possible drink combinations! They don't have as large variety of syrup flavors, but they have some unusual combos like honey tumeric. There is also a cafe bar where they make 'mocktails' with coffee bases. Also on the app- there's a members only section where you order more special combinations of coffee- could be seasonal 'Holiday latte' or different coffees they're trying out. I got their standard Havana cap. I did order wet foam, and honestly I felt like my drink was fairly messy looking. The foam did not look wet and creamy and the cinnamon was the messy part. BUT it was prob. a crowded line of drinks and it was made quickly. However, the barista at the register was really helpful in explaining some of their menu and options. She was willing to take her time. This TO location feels pretty small and seems more like a pick up and to go location. Since it is winter now, I didn't notice the outdoor seating, so that may be more inviting for staying longer during warmer weather. There are not a lot of tables where one could sit and do extended work, (there is a longer counter where one could setup laptop etc) but I think that is designed like that on purpose, to not encourage people who study for hours and take up tables long term. Star*** usually does the same thing with 1 large table, but mostly small cafe tabletops. Overall, atmosphere here is cozy and pleasant. I love how the coffee beans are stored in old fashioned drawers that look like an old library catalog. read more

Peet's Coffee is arguably one of the better chain coffee spots compared to the likes of SB and CB. Thousand Oaks location offers great service and baristas make consistently good coffee. Can't really comment on food options offered here as I usually only grab something to drink. Decent amount of seating inside and outside on the patio. While I love Peet's Coffee (Iced Latte's... yum) because it is both STRONG and SMOOTH, today I experienced a different side of the Pete I love! The staff at this Peet's is both super helpful and super knowledgeable about the products... Eli and Alise both deserve kudo's! Starving, today, I decided to try the food here! It was amazing for a coffee shop! The almond croissant is by far the biggest, most almond and best tasting almond croissant. I have tasted at any coffee shop anywhere in the world... And that is no exaggeration. The egg white frittata with tomatoes and feta cheese is amazingly tasty too! Like every other Peet's the store is attractive, clean, and a great place to sit and enjoy a cuppa coffee! Combine this with the great price they give on K-Cup pods in store... Best coffee in Thousand Oaks. Great helpful & friendly staff. Honestly, it feels more like a family-run place than a chain, and quality of the food and coffee is always super-high. There is inside (limited - kinda small - 2 high tops and maybe 4 small tables for two and 1 for four) seating but plenty of outside seating. The ambience is great - and they don't blast music at high volumes like some chains do. In short, this place is my go-to. read more

Coffee is very good and the staff are always friendly... but on the two times I've visited it's been an underwhelming experience. The place is small, dark, with few seats that always seem taken up by students, so there's nowhere to sit inside, which is annoying. Ok I've tried several times to go back here and I'm done, twice I've loaded $$ on their app and then gotten to use it once bcz the app constantly has issues and locks you out. Then lost $20-25 each time I've loaded $. So then to go in and talk to anyone about the issue is completely futile. First you get the cashier (20 something) who still thinks the pandemic is happening, but worse is when I'm agitated bcz of the poor app process she think this is about her and how she is offended by my tone, not caring whatsoever about my issue only how its effecting HER! Unbelievable! Then I get the manager who can only refer me to the customer service # who is most likely in India and cannot help me so my hard earned $ goes into thin air. I come to the location a lot but the other day I was so bothered I figured I'd write this review. The redhead girl at the cash register was on her phone during our entire transaction and later when my drink was made wrong, the barista making it said that the order had been sent through wrong. The girl from the cash register looked at the screen and said "Are you sure? I don't think you said that." and proceeded to condescendingly talk down to me for almost five minutes about how I was probably confused. When I assured her that I always get the same thing, everyday, from multiple locations, she rolled her eyes and walked away while standing in the corner on her phone. I'm sorry to bother the barista making the drink but I paid almost 8 dollars, so I just wanted it correct? Maybe this location should teach their employees phone etiquette. read more

I love Peet's anytime I'm in there I have a great experience especially with Sophie and Sara. They both know how to do their job well but I heard another worker say some things on several occasions that I find inappropriate with personal business about her co workers or how much money they made on sales. I heard grabbagreen got broken into and it's across the street so the last thing anyone should be saying is how much money they are making it's also very un professional to divulge co workers private lives. I love Peet's I just hope Kassidy, (almost didn't wanna name her) could get some sensitivity training or maybe have they employees speak on any concerns privately with HR or management. read more

Ahhh Peet's. Pretty solid coffee place, much better than Starbucks or Coffee Bean in my opinion. They have a lot of drink options that you can play around with. My personal favorite is the Iced Havana Cappuccino. Or I make a customizable cold brew with maple syrup pumps mmmm. They have a lot of food options too, I really like the chicken chorizo Flatbread or the chicken maple waffle sandwhich (tasted like a mcgriddle but half the calories, woo!!!). The morning crew are awesome. Always greets and have patience for clueless customers like me. I usually stop by here before heading into work. They make their drinks pretty quickly and do not keep their customers waiting for a long time. They do not display their straws, so if you need one, just ask. I always bring my reusable one, so that's no biggie to me. There's also outdoor seating as well where you can bring your furry friends to sit. In the parking area, there's a little stop right after Rocketfizz. Be careful because there are some people who speed there and you may get hit. My go-to's are iced drinks. I loved my caramel macchiato and blueberry scone. The macchiato was made exactly how I like it which is non-fat milk and light syrup so it's not too sweet. The cashier was really friendly. I was just annoyed that they didn't give me a receipt so I had to ask customer service for it afterwards. I think it should be store policy to either give you a receipt or ask if you want a receipt, and this place did neither. read more

First I would like to say that nearly everyone there is absolutely exceptional and kind. I find myself going in and feeling uncomfortable due to the constant glares from the new manager. I believe her name is Beth I'm not so sure but I used to love coming to Peet's until she took over and I feel the environment has changed. Please do better to bring back the Peet's I love. Stopped by this Peet's location on a weekend afternoon. Peet's has closed some locations recently, but I have always appreciated the brand's handcrafted quality. This location is no exception. I ordered an iced cappuccino and an almond croissant, the latter warmed up. I waited about five minutes for the order, and had both in the car. The almond croissant was savory-sweet and a little crispy. You can tell you the quality is superior to competitors. The iced cappuccino was made perfectly, with a nice balance of strong espresso and cold milk foam. Though Peet's is a tad more expensive than similar establishments, the price is worth the superior quality when the opportunity presents itself. read more
