We stopped in to give this a try, just for hot morning beverages. I had a dirty chai made with almond milk and it was delicious. Not too sweet and a nice kick of espresso. RRR had a regular latte, nice and strong and not as milky as some which he appreciated. The counter person (owner? ) was very friendly and really knows her stuff when it comes to coffee drinks. My hot cocoa was terrible. I think it was from a packet. Then I saw the stack of Conejo Guardians on the coffee table. That's a local far-right "newspaper". Very sensational and rumor-mongering. I came here for the first time this past weekend. This place is a little gem in T.O. that I wish I had found out about sooner! The owner, Sue, is very kind, attentive, and lovely. The ambiance is that of an eclectic cafe, with comfy couches, random knickknacks, and a peaceful sense of calm. I tasted my first Taro Latte of all time (normally I only get Taro Boba; I've never heard of a Taro Latte). Sue was careful to make the drink just as I had requested. In days gone by, I had checked out this neighborhood java joint. Last weekend, Dear Hubby and I stopped in on the way back from Ventura. We were in the mood for dessert. A Yelp search wasn't making it easy to find something other than ice cream / frozen yogurt in Oxnard or Camarillo. Then I hit on the Caffe Aroma listing. Stopping in late afternoon, we happened upon a group of women chatting and knitting in the cozy interior. They looked quite comfortable, and fit in with the eclectic interior of the place. Discovering crepes on the menu, we also ordered ice blended coffee drinks. We settled on the outside sidewalk seating area, enjoying the quiet of Sunday in the center. Not many people coming and going at that hour, though the Pho restaurant was busy. The gracious woman tending the Caffe brought us our crepes and we chatted about the Happenings magazine that we'd picked up inside. We all commented on how many fun things there are to do locally, especially going in to fall. All in all, a mellow moment to wind down a busy weekend. Wish this were closer to us. read more

Sue is the best! This place is amazing. The atmosphere reminds me of how coffee shops once were, quiet, cozy and familiar. The Italian ice was amazing, I got blueberry and lavender and not only was she checking to make sure that I liked it but it was 100% perfect. My sandwich was the best and I had no idea I would be sharing it with my service dog on his last day on earth. (He always got some of my food no matter how good it was so this is not a slight at all on my lunch) I will be going back for now on because this business is wonderful and the food is delicious. Thank you, Sue! You never know when someone just needs some extra kindness and a good meal and today you served up both beautifully. I hope this place is around forever!!! read more

The coffee here is great but everything else is terrible. I got a salad. That was $9 and see picture. It's not even the salad I ordered either. They don't even know what goes in their own salads. I randomly got a salad that had meat and cheese in it and they put oranges in it. So weird. They took like 20 minutes to make it. They even messed up before they brought it out to me and my husband. And took it back. Then said we were good to go. Get home and it's so damn small and it's not even a salad. The people who work there are not the smartest and are extremely slow. Very odd social skills as well. My caramel macchiato was good and my husband liked his cappuccino. That is all you should go here for. We even overheard them charging a guy for extra cream cheese because they didn't give him enough and it was an extra $2 after he had already purchased it in the first place! It's very cute and homey inside but not sure that will save this place if this is the kind of business they run. read more

I recently discovered Caffe Aroma, what a gem I have been missing out on. First of all, the location is easy to find and is in close proximity to other stores and restaurants. The owner, Susan, is very friendly. She greets you as you walk in the door. The indoor ambiance is charming, one of a kind, and welcoming. There are comfy arm chairs available indoors as well as regular tables and chairs. There are some outdoor seating available as well. I had an English tea and a chicken salad. I was not expecting much from the food but I was pleasantly surprised how tasty and tender the chicken pieces were. All ingredients were crisp and fresh. The thinly sliced Persian cucumbers slices added a nice side note to the salad. The sesame dressing was delicious. I recommend Caffe Aroma. read more

Wow! This time we get some live music for our brunch. It's a courtesy of one of the regular. This has been our second visit, we came from the east coast. The people are extremely friendly, the place is cozy and very clean, we are trying to get away from fast foods so the food here is much much better for breakfast or brunch that is serve anytime.
